The owner is super sweet! Did you know they've been here 20 years? I know what their secret is. It's authentically yummy Vietnamese street style food! Everything from banh mi, fresh spring rolls, boba tea, to crepes. This is my favorite quick stop when I'm in the neighborhood.
Little hole in the wall Cafe that serves what essentially is asian street food. They have vietnamese sandwiches, Boba drinks, sweet ginger tofu, crepes, egg buble waffle, and some other sweet and savory offerings. You can easily find this shop by following the loud techno/club/dance music they play on the speakers. The workers are really nice and explain what they have to offer and what it is if you don't know. It can get a bit overwhelming if there are lots of people waiting since the menu is so diverse. The entire shop looks like someone just crammed lots of signage and decorations in the tiny space to make it look busier and fuller. I don't even know how the people that work there get behind the counter. Haha. When we came for a weekend late night snack/dessert run at close to 8:40pm there wasn't too many people but within 5 to 10 minutes more people started to come by to buy stuff. We ordered a crepe that had fresh mango pieces, ice cream and whip cream; a crepe with fresh strawberry pieces, ice cream and whip cream; thai iced tea with Boba; and a warm silken tofu with ginger syrup. The mango crepe was delicious and not too sweet. The strawberry crepe was too sweet since they used strawberry jam while the mango crepe had a drizzle of mango syrup. I couldn't taste the Thai ice tea until we got home and ate something salty to counter all that sweet stuff we ate. I didn't even attempt to try the warm silken tofu since I was eating the crepe and I wouldn't have tasted anything anyways. We will be back to try the other stuff they have. Everything looks delicious. Update 10/15/23. Came here for a little treat because of my son's birthday. We noticed that they had signs advertising 20th anniversary buy 2 get 1 free deal. Honestly I don't remember them being there for 20 years but whatever... We ordered Thai teas, fish curry balls, and bubble egg waffles. The Thai teas were good, the curry balls were pretty flavorful and firm with a bit of chewiness but I had to take them off the stick in order to coat them in the curry sauce at the bottom of the tray. The waffles were hot with a good vanilla flavor. They were crunchy on the outside with a chewy mochi like interior. Update 3/9/24. Came here for an after dinner treat and got ourselves some crepes. Super yummy as always and friendly owner. They still have a special buy two get one free deal. We ordered three crepes, and the third was free.
Hong Kong Donuts fit for Jackie Chan! Not to sweet, makes a Perfect Treat! 😉 😜 Also Awesome Avocado Smootie with Fruit sliced Jellies, ,owner Amazing guy, 20yrs in Business, children almost out of the nest 🪹 🐦 Small Hole-in-the-Mall shop space. Awesome Oriental Stored Throughout the 99 Ranch , Upstairs Massage also. Maybe later...
They were super nice and now accept card! I got a little passion fruit boba and the person working gave me a red straw for new year and it was very cute vibes. Google says they’re closed but they were open today (Monday 1/21)
Hong Kong street food, Vietnamese sandwiches, boba teas. I come here for the coconut milk drink ! Delicious ! Buy 3 get 1 free.
Fast serviced, culturally enriched, good food, good prices Pacific East would be a lot dimmer without this gem. A great place for a unique date as well!

One of the best bubble waffles (egg puffs) ever! It’s crispy on the outside but still chewy on the inside and freshly made so it kinda melts in your mouth.
Owner is super friendly. We always buy Boba and ice cream. The bbq pork sandwich is pretty good. Service is fast. I like the pork bun, but not the onion inside it.
Hong Kong Snack House is now my favorite food stall in the SF Bay Area. First of all, the shop is set up in a way that mimics old-time Hong Kong food stall, which gives me warm, nostalgic feelings. The snacks, dessert, and street food sold here are quite authentic and tasty. The eggettes are made to order and their recipe has a perfect balance of flour and eggs. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their durian eggettes and durian smoothies are worth mentioning as well, since they use real durian fruit here! After learning from the owner that the shop is open every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I will definitely frequent it more often :)
I have been going here for years for their crepes! They have perfected authentic yummy and handheld crepes – most stores sell soggy crepes on plates, which I dislike. The only improvement would be to have savory crepes, but otherwise they are amazing~~~~
I love this little hole in the wall! Everything I've ever gotten here is great, and it's one of the only places I've found that my mom approves of their tofu pudding / tofu "flower". I can't believe some folks are giving low ratings for rising prices... It's the bay area! Everything's expensive and I'm sure his rent has been going up too. Have some empathy for independent shops! No, I've never thought this place was cheap but boba/bubble waffles aren't cheap anywhere else, especially at the large chain boba places. Go here. The owner(s) are awesome (I think it's run by a couple - it's the same guy everytime I go) and the food and drinks are great. And the vibe is always right. Last time I went they were playing Cantonese Bon Jovi. Support local businesses!

I’m not sure about the others but get the fish balls and egg puffs. The fish balls are great with the sauce and I like asking for siracha with it too. The strawberry and original egg puffs are warm and fresh, perfect with soy milk.

Too expensive for what you pay for. Although all the snacks and desserts here are delicious! I ordered the eggpuff waffle with ice cream as shown in the photo and the total came out to about $13. There's no filling where the cardboard holder is so it looks a bit misleading. I thought it cost a little too much, but great for a quick snack.

No protein in the vegetarian Vietnamese sandwich (most places have tofu or other substantial fillings). I brought my girlfriend the BBQ pork and she enjoyed it. The bread quality was good, toasty crunchy outside and fluffy inside.
The ice cream crepe was freshly made and tasty. It was crispy and kids loved it. On the other hand, my good looking Thai milk tea tasted funny. The boba wasn’t fresh. End up dumping it in the garage. Will bring kids back for crepe but not boba teas🧋 .
I feel bad making this review since the owner was so nice, but 2 HK milk teas + a waffle for $25 feels a bit like highway robbery. The prices for the milk teas were conveniently covered. The waffle was pretty good though.

Charismatic owner and friendly service: 5 stars Prices overall: two stars for getting outrageous. $7 for egg puffs? That's ludicrous even if the flavors were creative/unique. Another $6 for 2 sticks of bland fish balls with unimpressive sauces? I won't go for that again. There has *not* been a time when I came and saw the prices didn't increase.

It’s a bad experience to me. In HK, when you order fish ball and HK style egg waffle, the sauces is included without extra cost and the seller knew the HK style very well. In this shop, you found the price list : HK style egg waffle is 2.45 & fish ball is 1.75 with buy 3 get 1 free. And they also list the sauces for waffle you can pick with no price. I ordered a HK style egg waffle & 3 stick fish balls , and then , the lady ask if I want add the sauces , we said just normal HK style. The final bill is 11.9 , the food we ordered should be 7.7 , then I asking why so much !? you know what? The lady said it is not HK, all sauces had to be charged!! What? the sauces is costed 4.2 !??? Why not tell in advance!??? I double check all the price list and the Food’ photos show in the shop, it never show the price of the sauces!!! and , the lady do not tell the price when she asking me if need to add any sauces. The food was prepared, I had to pay . Ok, I’m fool! But, who will ask how much for the ketchup when you order a fries in any restaurants in US? same reason. It’s not make sense! It is a scam for me :( I don’t mind to pay more for the sauces to make the foods tastes better but not in this way . The fish ball taste is bad, the waffle is normal HK style .
I would give zero star if Google allowed. What a scam for charging me $11 for just an eggpuff while the menu said it is $4.25. The worse is it tasted really awful! There could other better egg puff store in the Bay Area!
Be cautious when shopping here. They often try to upsell you when you’re only asking for a single item. Be sure to ask for the price of each item before placing your order. The markups are outrageous. I was charged $30 for just one egg puff, one roll of fish ball, and a bag of hard rock potatoes.
