Hopdoddy Burger Bar truly delivered an outstanding experience. The burger was excellent—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite was packed with freshness and quality, easily one of the best burgers I’ve had. What made the visit even better was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The service was just as impressive as the food. If you’re looking for a spot that pairs top-notch burgers with friendly service, Hopdoddy is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Truffle fries to die for! So delicious! Seemed understaffed because of how one guy seemed to be servicing all the tables and stressed! Bless his heart! He did wonderfully! You should relieve him by hiring more. The guy at checkout seemed stressed too! I want to make this my favorite burger joint because of the flavor and quality of food but you guys gotta do better with the atmosphere and building morale with the staff. It was pretty evident and from how management was eyeballing them, one could tell that it wasn’t smooth sailing

Very good food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Came here as a large group and Ryan made sure every single person got what they wanted. The food came out very fast, and they were delicious. I got the double bacon jam burger, with hot honey and sage fries, enjoyed both of them.

Easy walk in, order up front and then sit and wait on your food. The food comes.out quickly and the prices are reasonable. They do offer Military/Veteran discount. I had the bison burger with the gg and bacon and it was delicious. I paired it with sweet potato fries and a huge draft beer. The size of glass you get with your draft beers is the size of a semi big margarita glass. Food came out quick. Overall excellent.

This was our first mael since landing in houston and it was a good choice. Nice place to enjoy a decent meal. The food taste delicious. It is a bit greasy, I knew what I was getting into before I went there. The service here was too notch and the whole place had a good vibe to it. Prices were reasonable for big portions. I Would recommend this place

We used to drive from Houston to Austin just to eat here. Back then, it wasn’t unusual to wait 45 minutes to an hour in line, and it was worth it. Since the brand expanded and franchised, the quality has gone down. If there’s a long line now, I wouldn’t wait—I’d rather go somewhere else. That said, the Diablo Burger is still a must‑try. The tuna patty is surprisingly good, especially if you enjoy seafood. We always order the gluten‑free bun, which is easier on the digestive system and a solid option. Overall, still good, but no longer the destination it once was.

We've been eating here for a while now. The food and service is always on point with a friendly staff. It's a well kept restaurant with an upbeat atmosphere that's kid friendly. I don't remember what my wife ordered, but my son had the Chicken Strips w/fries. I ordered the Diablo Burger with a Fried Egg added and Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was very good but not a smart move on my part. I didn't realize it was going to be as hot as it was. My fault, but still... never again🥵😆 The fries were good as well, not overly crunchy or salted, between my wife and I, they didn't last very long! If we lived closer, we'd probably eat here more but unfortunately, we do not. If you're in the Galleria or River Oaks area, and craving a good burger, then I'd definitely suggest this spot. I guarantee, that you won't regret the decision👍

⭐️⭐️ Hopdoddy Burger Bar It’s clear that Hopdoddy uses fresh ingredients, and that deserves acknowledgment. The quality of the components is there. Unfortunately, where things fall short for me is flavor, specifically seasoning. The fries are excellent. Truly. Crispy, well executed, and the highlight of the meal. Ten out of ten on the fries alone. The burgers themselves, however, are underwhelming. The meat lacks seasoning and depth, which makes the overall experience feel flat. While everything tastes fresh, it doesn’t taste flavorful. The burgers come across as bland and a bit uninspired. That said, I’ll fully own my bias. I’m more of a smash-burger style person. Smaller patties, simpler builds, classic execution. Hopdoddy leans heavily into complex, stacked burgers with lots of options. It gives upscale Red Robin energy, minus the fun of unlimited fries. That approach may work for others, but it’s not my preference. If you’re someone with dietary restrictions or allergies, this is a solid option. They clearly accommodate a wide range of needs, and that accessibility is a plus. For those seeking a truly great smash-style burger in Houston, I’d personally recommend Boo’s Burgers in East Downtown instead. Overall, fresh ingredients but not enough flavor to justify the hype. Two stars.
