Our first time there and the food was pretty good. We felt a little out of place but the people there was nice definitely coming back to try the milkshakes.

first timer here!! everything was delish, we did wait a bit for our food which we thought was od.. but once it came out super hot and fresh we knew exactly why. the wait is worth it in my opinion. fries were delicious and so were the corn dogs. i love mom and pop places so i was really pleased.

First off, it's a drive through, and it has a very small outdoor eating area, which is why I rated it 3 stars for atmosphere. This place rocks. The staff are so friendly, so helpful, they go above and beyond every time you go. I have been going for years with the kids. They remember your name, and are genuine. In this day and age, that's special. They have a deep and varied menu. All their burgers are great, their fries are some of the best I have ever had. Always cooked perfectly, never over or under cooked. Their soft serve ice cream and shakes are delicious. They have chicken, corn dogs, fish and chips and even Mexican items on the menu. And best of all, their prices are reasonable, you can take a family of five out for $60. Great place, staff work super hard, they take pride in their product and it shows. It's not fancy and you just drive by and think it's a dump, but if you take a chance, you won't be disappointed.

21+ year resident and Just really started coming here again. I have always loved it tho and it hasn't changed a bit. The crew is always nice and I always ZIP right thru the drive thru. I am HOOKED on Their Strawberry Smoothie with whip cream. . Definitely the Heart of Rio linda right here!! I love it when there are Horses parked out front ❤

I do like this business alot however it is somewhat mixed for me. The food is pretty good, prices are decent but my issue is one time I paid for extra mushrooms on my mushroom burger (im a mushroom fanatic), which was like a dollar or more charge and there were absolutely no extra mushrooms. Felt like I got ripped off. Still worth a try tho.

Cool little spot. The place had a lot to offer. I had a double BBQ burger, it was good, if a little bland. The ice cream was a hit with the kids. And I'd likely go back for take out. The seating was dated but shaded and the place was pretty busy.

BOWINKLES!!! if you haven't been here its time to try this lill side of the road burger shack hiding in rio Linda. I love the burgers and my kids are big fans of the chili cheese fries however if you're wanting some ice cream they have that classic soft serve in a cone that's unbelievable. I suggest going with the swirl, however if your a shake fan you can't go wrong and they have tons of flavors get in and try them out.

The main thing this place has going for it is that it's one of the only drive thru's in Rio Linda. The food is just okay imo. Staff has always been friendly in my experience. But it's extremely overpriced.

I wanted to try this place for the first time. I got a western bacon burger combo, upgraded my fries to chili cheese fries. The burger wasn't all that great, there were 2 very small bacon pieces in the middle, and 2 very small onion rings in the center, so every bite did not have bacon or onion rings till I got to the center. The taste was ok. The fries were not good. The chili was too hot/spicy and made the fries not edible. The cheese wasn't all that great either. And the drink was pretty small. I just felt cheated and a waste of $16.

This is ridiculous price for just a burger and small fries and a soda go go to Creekside diner where they treat you great and the prices are good. You could get steak and eggs for the price of a burger, fries and a soda at this place. Once again, what a joke. People do not support businesses that are killing you on your pocket. And the food is frozen from Costco. I seen him buying it. I seen them take it in their store. The only thing that would be good. There is just the milkshakes nothing more. And I need to teach young kids there a little bit more manners.

I am fairly new to this area and have only been to Bowinkle’s Drive Thru a few times. But, I will never go back because of the manager, Devona. It is a crime to take money out of a person’s bank account when it is not authorized. It doesn’t matter how much it is. And, that is what happened here to me. I was there on May 11th and I purchased a milkshake in the drive thru for $5.81. This time when I did not add a tip for the milkshake, the manager, Devona, who was working the drive thru, added a $5 tip to my receipt and I caught it when the transaction of $10.81 hit my bank account. I went back today and asked for a manager to discuss this since I did not authorize this to be taken. Unfortunately, the manager happened to be the same lady that had helped me in the drive thru that day on May 11th when I purchased the milkshake. She stated her name was Devona. After finding out she was the manager, I asked to speak to the owner of this establishment. She insisted that I tell her why and I told her I just wanted to talk to the owner. She would not give me the Owner‘s name or any way to contact the owner. She said he was out doing a food delivery. So I told her I would wait for him. She kept pushing me to tell her why I needed to speak to him. She even said she recognized me and knew that I had been through the drive-through recently and she had helped me. So, I proceeded to tell her that my receipt was altered and a tip was added that I did not authorize. She immediately became very defensive and very rude to me and said it was only a mistake. She treated me terrible. She acted like she was the victim in this scenario and made me out to be the predator. Unbelievable! I hate it when people gaslight. She actually said to me that many customers who get just a milkshake give her a $5 tip. She tried to justify it and acted entitled. She immediately just wanted to hand me five dollars back and wanted me to leave. I did not wanna leave till I got to speak to the owner. I have had this happen before at a steak house in Roseville where the waitress altered the tip amount adding an extra $20. After discussing this incident with the VP of that restaurant, he researched it and found that the manager of the restaurant along with 2 other waitresses we’re in cahoots and we’re altering receipts from customers and adding on a different tip amount for themselves. The VP fired all three of the employees and then called me back and thanked me for making him aware of this incident and he found in his research that it happened to be the case that they were deceitful employees stealing from other customers besides me. So whether this was an accident or not at Bo Winkle‘s, I wanted to make sure the owner knew about it. But Devona was not wanting me to speak with the owner. She absolutely treated me horribly and was gaslighting me and acted like the victim and turned it on me when I was the one that got cheated. There was never any apology from her. I will never go back there again. If you decide to go there you will need to pay attention to the final transaction that hits your bank account to make sure it wasn’t altered. I will never recommend this place!
