Great place to experience a higher end taqueria from Mexico. Large seating area with plenty of mest options to choose from. From the basic tacos to keto or protein style tacos and bowls. Great selection of refreshers or aguas frescas. Cucumber lime is my fav thus far. Small dessert options and buñuelos to go. Clean salsa bar with the top three favorite blended salsa de tomatillo as well as the cilantro guac looking salsa. Handmade tortillas are good. Everything is within view just like a traditional taqueria from Mexico. The only issue I have with this restaurant is that they do not grill their meat. At least its not visible at this time. They pan fry it and it felt cold. Also, the burrito bowl asada meat is from a stainless pan and its not hot. I asked if you can ask for well done and they can cook it more for you just if you like a bit more char or hot meat. Al pastor meat was better in this regard because its charred from the meat trompo.

Lots of meat options and tortillas are hand made. It's not as good as it used to be but it's still a solid spot. Wait times on the weekends can be long.

We had the unfortunate experience of being racially discriminated against. After waiting for a few minutes in line without even being acknowledged, a Latino customer walked in minutes after us and was greeted and served before us. I definitely will not be returning.

I don't like it. They don't have radish or cucumber. The sauce is not good. The meat tastes good but I feel like you need more than that for delicious tacos.

I ordered tacos and birria. The birria had bones, so third of the plate was bones, the broth was unusually thick, with no flavor. The tacos were extremely salty ( asada) or without salt or spice (cabeza) Not coming back. The service was OK.

Update 7/1/23 All tacos 🌮 are pretty much $2.50 now. 👎 Update 6/22/20. They recently raised the price on several of their staple items. Al pastor/adobada tacos are now $1.89 from $1.59. That’s disappointing. To make matters worse, service has gone in the opposite direction (down). The guacamole salsa is frequently unavailable for example. I will not be eating here as often as I used to. Original review. One of the only taco places in town with al pastor tacos from a spit. They still have to finish cooking the meat on the griddle but I understand why. Fast service and good prices too.

Food is decent. Has good flavor. Customer service could be better. It was very impersonal. Don’t like the idea that they DONT have a salsa bar. Place is clean. Restrooms are clean. For the size of the tacos, they are pricey, and they charge for chips and salsa!

I was unimpressed by the service at this location. I normally dine in and love 2 Portillos, but the service here was not very good. The cook was very friendly, but the woman at the register was not happy when I asked for more salsa as their salsa buffet was empty along with other taco toppings. The salsa containers that held the salsa did not appear to be clean either. The restaurant was not closing for another 2 hours and customers were still coming in. Not inclined to return due to cleanliness and poor service. Food would have been 5/5 if I would have had all of the toppings I wanted for my tacos . I've been to multiple 2 portillos, and this is the only location I would not care to return to.

The food was delicious but very expensive almost $25.00 for 8 tacos. The food is really good no doubt and the place is very clean, the only thing is the price it is too expensive. The employees could be more welcoming and ask if they can help you, they just stand there and pretend like you're not there. When you order they pretend not to hear you. Overall a great place to eat if you have the money, best Mexican food here. Very clean.

Absolute horrible experience tonight! The cashier/order taker was so rude because I told her I don’t speak Spanish which forced her to speak English. Then she continued to be rude when taking payment because I questioned why the Tap to Pay option required me to give her my phone?! I guess I should’ve kept my mouth shut because as a result it took an extra long time and the single burrito I ordered was so small! If they had customers and it was during dinner time I would expect a long wait time but nobody was there! Needless to say I won’t be going back for a skinny $13 burrito, rude staff and long wait times! Sorry not all Mexican people speak Spanish!

Went here when I had an hour and fifteen movies before going to a movie with a date. There was only 6 people in front of us in line. I feel like it was a reasonable expectation that we get food on time for our show... waited 40 min. Nobody in line before me had their order taken. Nobody makjng the food acknowledged anyone in line. Left angry with less time to get food.. they would have to be the best tacos in the world for anyone to go here.

I went and order a Burrito and they always give me a plate and this time I came they gave me a bag like I was going to eat outside and I told this guys that he did not look so happy with he was doing and said this is a new management and this is the way we give the food and for some reason he didn’t look happy what he was doing and I left for good and spent my money in nearby burrito place nice people with a nice character and they know about how to treat a customer not like the experience I have tonight with this look like new new management specially I was told that the guy that help me was the manager poor people who bought this with this kind of people working for them I don’t think they’re gonna go that far with customers and I think they will lose Customer eventually . I went to this other place and I was treated very nice by everybody there the place name is tacos I más where I took my business and I spent between me and my wife $25.42 and again the people that works there and the chef super nice with a great food thank you Taqueria Dos Portillos for treating me the way you treat me. I found a better place.
