We were in town for the weekend and were looking for a quick lunch. Seoul House got us just that! While they are take out only for the lunch hour, our food was still hot and fresh by the time we ate it. The seafood pajeon was crispy and not light on the seafood, the bulgogi was great, and the generous portion size of the pork tangsuyuk was incredibly satisfying. Try out Seoul House! You’ll enjoy it!
Fast pickup time, carry out was hot and foil wrapped on the inside of the styrofoam containers. The crispy squid was light and crunchy. I had the pork and squid barbecue which was great. The pork was tender and spicy and the squid was just a little chewy. Pickled condiments provided helped round out the dish.
Been going for 13 years and the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere has always stayed the same. Prices increased, but what place really hasn't. I love it here and will always be a customer
Oh my goodness! Having never had Korean food I wasn't sure what to expect. Got the spicy chicken. It was marvelous! The restaurant was comfy, clean, and the staff was attentive. Next time I'm in Rochester I'll be back!!!
The service was excellent and helpful, with the menu as well. Love their initial free appetizers. Food was fresh and delicious. Great ethnic atmosphere. Reasonable prices and good portions.
Always an excellent meal here. Polite and attentive service. Have been here many times and will always be back for more.
The food was delicious. Their stews are great for cold weather, and were served very hot. Ordering was very easy on their website. They are offering takeout only, at this time, but the interior is beautiful.
The miso soup and kimchi pancakes were fantastic! I loved the dish the kimchi pancakes were served in, they kept every piece warm throughout dinner. It was a small bonus, but a warm and welcome one. I recommend the yaki soba and yukgaejang soup as well. Great food and service all around.
Very good first time experience. The food was delicious and culturally accurate. It was a Saturday night so it took some time but afterwards it was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who might be adventurous or want to try something new.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Roc area
We went to Seoul house for dinner tonight, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Gimbup, Dukbokki, Japchae, Spicy Octopus, and Kkanpunggi. Everything was DELICIOUS! Service was great and the atmosphere matched.
Had the spicy pork bulgogi and galbi with shredded scallion salad. Delicious. Japchae was good. Friendly staff. It would have been nice if they allowed grilling at the BBQ tables.
I love their food! I go here at least once a month. If you're going in the winter plan on sitting towards the back so you won't feel the cold from the door opening and closing. When it's busy the service can be a little slow but, it's that way at every restaurant. All in all, great place.
Delicious, spicy and amazing authentic Korean food! The only place which makes my food actually spicy and tasty! Probably my favorite restaurant in the city! Their spicy fried rice with eggs is out of this world!
In total, I spent $17 and some change. I got a side of white rice, side of rice cakes, and Gimbup! They give you enough rice for one or maybe two people and 10 pieces of gimbup and LOTS of rice cakes! The rice cakes were served thinly sliced and with a side of chili sauce, it’s definitely worth the $5!! I’ll be going back for seconds soon! :)
Lovely staff and delicious food. I love the variety of food they offer. You can grill your own meats here if you want, or get one of the skillet dishes, or many others. I don't know the names of most dishes yet, but I have many friends who return often. They have smaller tables up front and a nice, big section in the back. It was good for our group of 7. We could converse and not worry about bothering others. They were really nice about how we paid as well. We went to the front and paid for what we ate there. It was a nice, clean location with delicious dishes. I was not disappointed one bit. Looking forward to our next visit!
Ordered the Korean BBQ, plenty of juicy, delicious meat that you wrap up in lettuce and salad 🤤. P.S. The appetizer plate that came with the meal was to die for!
Don't often leave reviews but for this I will. The food here was beyond phenomenal. All the dishes were so well prepared and just amazing. Service was great even with their short staff. I HIGHLY recommend going here for anything they have. The best sauces I have had in long time.
We had Ann as our server and she was the most patient sweetest person ever!! We had a birthday and Ann went beyond and above were a party of 5 she took very good care of us and we enjoyed our experience here the food was amazing
I bring friends here all the time! The food is good (the only thing I don’t like is the gochujang noodles). The side dishes can be refilled if asked and the staff are really attentive! Great place to try out Korean food for the first time.
Seated immediately by a friendly server. At least six free appetizer plates and the main courses were reasonably priced with large portions. Would recommend the Sake to pair with your meal and try the moochi for desert.
Simply Love this place for the Food!! Mostly all the dishes are finger licking good!!! It’s seating space is huge but gets filled up pretty fast on Fridays & Saturdays during peak dinner time 6.30pm-8.30pm. Friendly and Polite staff and food always tastes good. Enjoy Korean food.
This is me and my boyfriends favorite place to eat! We get the same meal every time and it is absolutely delicious. We love their miso soup as well - its our favorite when we're not feeling well! Highly recommend. Staff is friendly and polite!
The food here is very very good. I had the spicy pork bbq and it was fantastic. The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome too. Very open space, with the option to sit at a table with it's own grill (if you want to cook certain foods yourself) or not. The service could have been better but was pretty good overall. Prices are reasonable but a little on the pricey side. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who loves Korean food or who has an adventurous appetite as you won't be disappointed!
The staff is very polite and helpful and the dining area and bathroom is always clean. Warm, pleasant atmosphere. EXCELLENT food. You'll always leave with a full warm belly after eating there. I live a half hour away, but I'm in love. Seoul House is by far my favorite place to eat and I'd recommend it to anyone.
I love Seoul House, they have the best japchae and yukgaejang! Honestly, everything I've had here is wonderful. I visit often but currently they are understaffed and are working super hard to make sure everyone receives good service. Keep this in mind if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, their staff is so kind and I always have an excellent meal here.
I went to Seoul House last night for my birthday and fell in love instantly! The décor and atmosphere were relaxing and comfortable. The service was excellent and the waiter was pleasant. I will definitely be going back as the food was of great quality and freshness. Great for any occasion!
Super delicious and authentic Korean food. Absolutely worth visiting if you want to try some new food! Their K-BBQ meats are great with the lettuce wraps and the sides.
Best Korean I have had in a long time - dishes were delicious, service was very friendly (enjoyed the extra flair when they opened our heers), nice solid Korean beer. We ordered too much but looking forward to leftovers.
This was my second or third time getting Korean food ( other than KFC). I had kimbap once before, and when I tell you I will be thinking about this place for the rest of my life , and it was so much food 😍
Great place for larger groups! Tons of variety as well. Take a group, reserve a table online, share some dishes!
Ordered takeout online for dinner. Portions were great for the price, and food was so delicious. I ordered the yukgaejang and my girlfriend got the kimchi-bokkeumbap. Both were good and hot when I picked it up! I can't wait to explore more of their menu :D
First time of this establishment here in the Rochester New York area. This place is a must if you want home style cooked Korean cuisine. It totally recommend this to all who wants to have a very filling meal at a reasonable price. 100% delicious. The staff is over the top perfect! Will definitely stop here again when in town.
The staff was super friendly. It felt like I was eating at a family member's house.
The staff were incredibly courteous, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our visit.
Very good food! Very authentic! Good kimchi and classic feel good korean Seoul foods! Awesome with kids!
Love this place. Great food and staff. So many unique dishes.
I cant say whether this is or is not authentic korean food. What i can say is the food is very tasty. I have yet to have a dish that i wasnt fully satisfied with. The servers give the feeling you are back home being served dinner from your parents. A very warm and inviting atmosphere. My two favorite dishes are the kimchi fried rice and the rabboki. Don't sleep on the pork tang suyuk or the japchae. Honestly take the menu, put it up to a dart board and through a dart. Whatever it hits is going to be amazing. This is a must try and your new favorite place
Absolute favorite of me and my friends! My boyfriend comes all the way from CT just for this too. We always go for our favorite kkanpungi & veggie/seafood pancake. So much love for Seoul house
Best Korean restaurant I’ve been to in the Rochester area! Love the Korean side dishes pre order, would go just to snack on those for lunch. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Food was amazing and the service was even better! The waitresses were incredibly kind and helpful! 10/10 recommend
I go with a large group and they are always very accommodating. We eat family style. All of the dishes have always been good. I recommend the beef bulgolgi.
This place is so tasty and wonderful. I normally go to Sodam for korean food, but the kitchen closes at 8:30 there so my boyfriend and I went here instead since they are open later. Honestly we are both so glad we tried this spot! The food was delicious, everything we ordered was very tasty and seasoned well. I am a big fan of korean food and everything was made authentically and the ladies who run the place were very nice and welcoming. We ordered tteokbokki, galbi, kimchi jeong, grapefruit soju, and kimchi jjigae. Everything was so tasty, and the banchan was also delicious! The menu was pretty expansive and had a large variety. I will say this Korean spot is pricier than most places I have been too, so just keep that in mind. Everything we ordered was around $109. However, this is my new go-to Korean spot!! My boyfriend is also picky because he is from Brooklyn so sometimes food places in Rochester can be a hit or miss, but he also loved this place! We both left very full and satisfied. I would highly recommend coming to Seoul House for any of your Korean food desires.
Very savory Korean food in Rochester we had to wait for dinner time as they only serves dinner for dining in. Visiting my son at RIT for parents weekend and craved some korean food. I had dol-sot bibimbap beef (picture shown) and my husband had Yukgaejang-Soup , perfect for a rainy day. Nice set of ban chan ( korean side dishes) and both dishes we ordered were very pleasantly tasty. Loved sizzling dol-sot bibimbap , added a good round of korean spicy gochuchang sauce. Wish to come back one day with our son.
Seoul House is another great Korean restaurant conveniently located on W. Henrietta Rd. They have ample indoor seating and a wide variety of entree options including Korean, Japanese, Thai and with a variety of other choices of meat and seafood ...beef, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp noodles and more. On our visit they were well staffed with friendly and timely service. They do a good indoor and take-out business. We started with a Pajeon veggy pancake and had the following entrees: Bokkeumbap with chicken, Dolsot Bibimbup with tofu and a Jjajang'myual w/ pork. All the dishes were excellent and very flavorful. We had a wonderful meal together and will be returning soon. I highly recommend
Absolutely radiant! As a person who lives in the UK and stayed in the US for 3 months, I think it’s such a shame that I didn’t try this place the first minute I land in Rochester, and that Manchester doesn’t have Korean restaurant at this quality. The food is horrifically good, japchae is brilliant, so good that it’s even better than some clustered Korean community restaurants in China. Service excels, one of the sweet lady is trilingual, which is so sweet cause it sounds like my hometown. Vibe & decorations in the restaurant is also brilliant, extremely Korean. It’s hard to believe that I would be able to find such an authentic place in a city this size. The service worth 20$ tips. Would recommend to revisit again and again, absolutely brilliant!
Good food served hella hot and fresh. The chef stays true to his beliefs on how the dishes should be served, which I respect. Wait staff was super nice and cool. Kept us hydrated. The tables were nice looking good set up. Solid meal had some mochi ice cream at the end which was pretty good.
Eaten here 3x, food is very good. I would go more often, but i think they are over priced. They're dinner dishes are $25+. They're are other similar options in the area that are half the cost.
Went on Mother's Day. No crowds. No wait for a table. Service was slow but pleasant. Food was tasty and slightly spicy. Had the Kimchi Jjigae. Came to the table boiling! Lots of broth and tofu. I would have liked more cabbage in it or rice noodles. Small plate appetizers were great.
Decent food and pretty good service. Not ad good as Albany's korean food but it gets the job done. Their menu has a variety of items to try. I do recommend trying it out.
Fantastic glad we tried it. Our waiter was very helpful in recommending what to order. We got the bbq for two and one small kimchi pancake and one small seafood pancake. There were three of us and plenty...even brought some home. Being Fri the place was a little busy....make sure to let them know if you want the bbq so you get seated at the right table....they have some tables that don't have the grill. For the grill you can pick your choice of meat and included are the tasty pickled sides as well as rice. Like I said we ordered the meal for two and it came with shrimp, chicken, beef and pork....but they have plenty of other choices. They also have many other fabulous sounding dishes that we are sure to be back to try,
Many original Korean food options. And tasty with friendly service. Good portion of food and good prices. Only downside was the side dishes. Less fresh ingredients.
I do miss the table side kBBQ but this very authentic and reasonably priced Korean restaurant is excellent. Fast service and plenty of attention to detail. A very nice Bo Saam accompanies each meal and there is a wide variety of kitchen prepared Korean dishes. I wish I knew which Gochugaru brand they use because it is a nice balance of spice level - I love spicy food but some Korean dishes are too hot even for me. The service is impeccable - prompt, friendly and cheerful. You are greeted at the door with a smile and your smallest whim is catered to immediately.
The staff is very friendly~ food is delicious and authentic. This is one of husbands favorite places to eat.
Traditional Korean dishes with vegan options in the Rochester area! Tofu Japchae, edamame and lightly fried salt and pepper tofu were a welcome change to my usual food options while on the road for work. I enhanced the japchae with the extra dipping sauce from the tofu (I personally like a little extra flavor) and ate up all the pickled side sprouts and radish. Left the kimchi alone as that traditionally is not vegan. Being familiar with Korean dishes did give me the advantage of knowing what vegan options I had so I did not actually ask the staff. If you’re vegan and less familiar, I would recommend asking (perhaps phrasing as allergies). Service while picking up my order was very friendly and courteous.
This used to be our favorite Korean restaurant until the ownership changed hands and the food deteriorated under the new ownership. So, after many years of avoiding this place, we gave it a shot. The food has definitely improved. Their serving size is more generous than their other Korean competitors. I would have given them 5 stars, but settled for 4 stars, for 2 reasons. One, I asked them to cut back the heat (spice) on the octopus stew, and they did not. Two, service is a little slow. We specially enjoyed the seafood pancake and the pork bulgoki.
Good vibe in the restaurant, people are laid back, food were served very quickly and it was very good. The toilet needs an upgrade, it looks old. A little expensive. Had some false advertisement. We ordered Beef and Intestine Hotpot but there were barely amy beef.
Overall was an average/mediocre experience. Food: 5/10 Out of all the Korean BBQ places that I have been to, this one is right in the middle of the pack. Not particularly bad but not great either. I hold restaurant food up to whether it is a) worth the price, and b) better than I could make myself. It doesn't hold water to either of these standards. My bulgogi has more flavor. If I'm going to go out to eat, I want it to be better than I can make on my own. Attentiveness: 4/10 We arrived to an empty restaurant. We had to wait several minutes before being greeted. The host and servers were not particularly friendly or attentive to us. Decor: 5/10 Standard decor, nothing spectacular but not gaudy and "in your face" either like *cough* PF Changs *cough*
Miss home and want to feel like being the black sheep? I have been there twice. The food is very good and authentic, and the staff are friendly. However, the business owner is unhappy and very judgmental. The first time I was there, she judged me for ordering one Kimbap and one small tofu soup. She reminded me twice that they were small dishes, even though it was just past 4 pm and that's all I needed. She seemed unhappy. Today, four of us visited the restaurant. I asked the waitress if the food we ordered was enough for four, and she said yes. Later, the owner came over and seemed unsatisfied about what we had ordered. Later, after the Korean hotpot was served, I requested an extra pair of chopsticks for sharing the meal, but we were greeted with total confusion and blank stares, as if saying 'just eat.' That’s not all of it. About another 20 minutes later, she passed by again and asked if we wanted to add anything. She was ready to give us the bill, which was embarrassing! We hadn't even finished half of our meal yet! Anyway, once again, the food is very good, the happy waitress and other staff are very friendly, but the owner acted like one of the cranky aunts at a Christmas party to whom I owed money.
Service is good food taste ok but quite expensive for the small quantity
Food was not good as expected. I have been to several Korean places but had better food. No salt, pepper or any flavor. Staff was friendly and welcoming however the place was short of staff when we were going there. It took a long time to take the order and also serve the food. The place was clean and pleasant looking. However this was not the best Korean food experience I had. Probably their barbecue and hotspot may have a better taste. Place was not too crowded and didn't have to wait to be seated.
Beef was tough, sides came in what would be considered a blue cheese cup. Supposed to get sides for each meal only got should have been 6. Prices were high for portions. Overall not that great. First and last time.
It is really unusual for me to give 1-2 stars but sometimes it is a good thing if the receiving end properly understands the meaning behind my criticism. I try to avoid biased feedback so I give my review based on my overall experience. The restaurant is nice, the menu selection is also nice but what they lack is customer service. I had a bad experiences for my first time going there. I gave them 2 stars for the following reasons; 1-No acknowledgement for our presence and it took about 15mins . It is funny because there was not a huge line. Just 2-3 people in front of us. 2- After getting our seats, we ordered drinks and the server took another 20min. It is also funny because it was just those apple juice and water. 3. So we ordered, and that is additional 40min with no snacks or something to keep you acquainted. 4- got our food, started dinning and then we ordered additional soup on side. Well, this time our server disappeared until we had finished our meal and had decided to forget about the soup. The server finally showed up after 45-60mins and we were about to check out. The server had already forgotten about the soup when we asked and told them to nevermind. 5- we asked for additional blank plate to use and the server told us that they had no more plates for us. The server told us to use what we have as there was nothing they could do. I really never heard of this before so it was very funny. How to avoid this situation again? You can simply hire more people, you cannot have one person attending 10 table and expect them to keep up mentally and physically. I'm not really disappointed in our server but the manager is the one to blame. A disorganized business is always the result of poor management. Aside from that, I do believe this place has a great potential but you cannot stay in business if customer services is not priotised. I believe that it doesnt matter how good your product is because you can easily find your business struggling if customer service is not properly implemented. I hope this feedback is well received and hopefully as a positive criticism. Best of Luck,
usually i love going to seoul house. this time was very different. i was charged on my card more than the total including tip. the tip wasn’t 15% because the service wasn’t that good but it was enough. i called to make sure if it was a mistake, I got told “the minimum you have to tip is 15%”. I did not see that you had to do a 15% tip. so they basically “fixed” my tip which isn’t legal because i put down a certain tip and total. Not cool, tip with cash.
My main course was not tasty. The salmon was over cooked, and they forgot to prepare my meal when I first ordered. I was there for dinner with co-workers, and everyone got their meal in a timely manner. Even the co-workers that arrived 20 minutes late received there meals before me. There wasn't a reason for the waitress to have to put my order in a second time, it was not busy.
Service and atmosphere was good. Food was okay but appetizers were good. I’ve been here countless times and loved it when I was 13 I’m 21 now. One thing I don’t like is the moment you cash out with them, the owner which I assume is the owner cause she’s always there, says “tip please.” Who says that? It caught me off guard because I was already going to give them a tip and the fact that she asked that?? What? I don’t know, it made me feel uncomfortable and I did give her the tip but regretted it. Service was great and the waitress was nice!
The food was fine moderately. I went there with a friend of mine, I spent on food about $20 and gave tips about 15% of What I spent on food but the boss at the counter insisted on asking for more tips and had to tip extra $5 so in total I had to spend about $9 on tip alone. it’s cost me more then $30 dollars as whole together with sell tax. I wonder why would the owner of the restaurant would shamelessly ask for extra tips when I already gave about 15%. I just wonder if the tip goes to servers that gave service to my table.
We used to love this restaurant. We ordered in it back in January and the food was fantastic. They had cut back a little on the sides, but other then they everything was perfect. Today, we received no sides and were missing items. Our salads came with Ranch instead of ginger dressing, which is not listed on their menu. The food was cold and was missing flavor. We’re disappointed to see how much their food quality has gone down in the last few months since they’ve always had amazing service and food in the past.
Food is good but for the price, their serving is very small. The service is bad and very slow! Do not go here if you’re really hungry. It will take at least an hour for you to get your food. The servers are nice but they don't have enough staff to efficiently run the business.
Stopped here Sunday evening for a quick bite to eat. The food was good. But the service could have been better. Slow water refill, as in not a single time and only at the very end. I gave a tip based on my experience, but they came back and pointed at the tip chart and straight up asked for more. This is the first time I have had this experience at any restaurant. Similar behavior reported by other visitors.
First of all the service was hideous. We had to wait forever for our order to be fulfilled. To top that off, they sent a waiter to cook the other person's meat on their table, however, they just gave us the meat to cook for ourselves. If that's the policy, don't cook meat at some tables while not cooking it at others. The miso soup may as well been MSG broth. The overall dining experience was absolutely terrible. I don't know how the service was before last Saturday, but I'll never eat there again. Save yourself the money and go to Mcdonald's. No seriously. I would've given it negative stars, but google requires me to give it at least one. One star is even too good a rating.
I wish there was an option to rate as no stars. About two weeks ago I placed a to-go order inside the restaurant . I paid for my food and the hostess said it would take about 15 minutes for my order, so I sat in the waiting area on the bench. After the 15 minutes we’re up a different hostess came out with my order in hand. I walk over to her to let her know that the food belonged to me. Initially she had reached out to hand me my food but quickly snatched it back asking had I paid. I told her yes, that I had paid in advanced, and offered to show my receipt. I even told her what food was suppose to be in the order. She would not believe me nor hand the food over. She, instead walks back over to the counter and searches for the most recent receipts to verify my order. Only then, was I able to receive my food. No other to-go order was treated this way. The other customers were a mixture of Caucasian/Asian. It’s apparent the workers of this establishment are prejudice and treat customers of an ethnic background of less regard and respect than those that match their ethnicity. That was my first and last time patronizing their business. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
My family and I have been here quite a few times now but after tonight's horrible experience, we will not be going back. We needed to order more food so we called our waiter over but she kept saying that she was busy and needed a minute. I saw that there wasn't a lot of tables but thought she must had other things to do. So we waited and waited. Then she finally came back with the main dish we ordered but again she said that she was busy and told us to wait. She never came to our table to check on us again for the rest of the night, I had to ask for the check from the owner at the front and we ended up paying at the front. She just kept walking past us like we didn't exist. Due to the upsetting service we did not leave a tip like we usually do. However, the ridiculous thing happened. As we were leaving the owner/cashier stopped us indicating that the tip was not included and told us we had to leave a tip. First of all, apart from the horrible service, she did not have a right to tell me that I had to leave a tip. I started to explain to her that the service was horrible. The waiter ignored us after we asked her to come over multiple times. We were expecting an apology but all the owner/cashier said was ok and didn't even bother to look at us. We usually give great gratuity because we know that waiting is a hard job but the service needs to be good. However, with this horrible customer service and the owner demanding tip, I am extremely disappointed and upset. I do not recommend this place for anyone that wants to enjoy a nice dinner with their family and not have the owner chasing them for tip.
Went to this place for dine-in and it was an ok experience. Food was good, service was off. They were nice, but food came out staggered for a group of 5; some people finished before the last meal was served (it seemed like they forgot some meals). The food was good and we wanted to try again the next weekend, but take out. After placing an order, the online system said 45 min. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told it would take another hour. I was asked if I wanted to cancel and I said yes, and walked out. While driving away, a different person from the restaurant called me to tell me that they were too busy and they were canceling my order. This would have been nice to know 45 min ago, or just shut off online ordering.
The food was alright, but not good either. Service could have been better (I asked for the salad refill but didn't get it). I gave a tip based on my experience, but they charged more than that. They just increased the tip amount using their Gratitude Guideline (15%). This is the first time I have had this experience. My credit card company will refund it, though.
The beef bulgogi really disappointing. It was not carmelized at all and was sitting it a lot of liquid on the sizzle platter. They use bottom round for the beef bulgogi which is a lower cut of meat than is typically used for beef bulgogi.
I reserved a table two weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day and when we got there we were ignored for 50 minutes. I kept rethinking about the conversation between us and the waitress trying to figure out if we said anything rude, but we barely said anything besides thank you. It was packed, but people seated after us even got food before us. It was too late to reserve a new place for Valentine’s Day so my girlfriend and I ended up leaving without getting served anything. We were able to salvage the night, but it definitely was a terrible experience. The food here is great, but after that mean experience I will not be ordering from here again.
No Tteokbokki hot pot to share ,I do not believe any south korean person eats here . It is not the taste of Seoul in anything . My sadness 😔 😟
I’ve ordered from this restaurant for delivery before and the food has always been very good, which is why I decided to dine in this time. When my friend and I arrived, we were told there would be about a 10-minute wait. We ended up waiting close to an hour. During that time, multiple parties who arrived after us were seated before we were. A couple was seated immediately after the last group left, and another group that came in later was also seated right away — while we continued to wait without any update or explanation. I understand that restaurants get busy, but the way this was handled felt very uncomfortable and, honestly, gave off discriminatory vibes. Being overlooked while watching others who arrived later get seated was frustrating and disheartening. The food is good, but the dine-in experience and lack of communication left a bad impression
Extremely disappointing experience. I won’t be coming back. My friend and I were returning customers, but this visit was a complete letdown. We waited at the door for nearly 20 minutes, only to see another group—who arrived after us—get seated first. It wasn’t until we pointed this out that we were finally given a table. After being seated, we were ignored for another 20 minutes—no water, no menu, no one taking our order—simply because a larger group next to us was getting all the attention, even though they arrived later. The whole meal felt awkward and frustrating. Not a single staff member checked on us or offered assistance. Then, just after we paid and were waiting for our Uber, the owner came over and told us to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY because there were people waiting—despite there being plenty of empty tables. Seoul House, you’ve truly disappointed loyal customers. Farewell.
We drove one hour to get to this restaurant and arrived at 8:35 PM, well before their listed closing time of 9:30 PM. But when we got there, the staff told us there was no food left and they refused to serve us. It was really disappointing — if the kitchen closes early, customers should be informed in advance. We planned our evening around this visit and ended up wasting a long drive for nothing. Very poor experience overall.
