Went to Cracker Barrel in Brazos Town Center this morning for breakfast and the food was great. Sasha was our server she was wonderful, polite and friendly. Will definitely will come back and ask to be seated for her to be our waitress again.

We loved this location! It was our first time here on Thanksgiving and all the staff were so wonderful and patient considering how busy they were for the holiday dinner rush! Our family enjoyed our lunch. Biscuits were warm, and fresh, and our wonderful server Zulma, kept our drinks full and anticipated our every need. Our plates were out promptly and tasted super good.

Mom & I went for lunch. Although I rarely eat fried food, the seasonal fried turkey was worth it. And our server, Sasha, was excellent! I would definitely ask to sit in her section again.

Restrooms are usually really clean here. Food is ... Very traditional Southern fare. It reminds me of a cheap diner. It's nothing like Mom's, but is close enough when you're hungry. Prices range between $5 to $15 per person depending on what you are in the mood for. Free bread (& corn bread) and butter. Coffee depends on who is making it, but usually ok. Seasonal knickknack is always lovely and there are so many old fashioned candies and toys that make for unique gifts. Great for fashion (check out clearance) finds for adults (mostly ladies) and kids (boys or girls)--prices ranging between $10 & $40 per item.

Came here for the first time to this location. Let me tell you, from the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted, given the specials of the day, and sat down immediately. We were a party of 10 and got Olivia for our waitress. She absolutely worked her tail off for us! She got the orders 100% correct, was on top of our refills, brought out all of the condiments our table requested in a quick, timely fashion. She made sure every detail was checked. The manager, Maryanne, was quick to cheer her staff on and offered encouragement to them. I noticed. The food was delicious!, hot and fresh! And, every server was quick with their customers as well. As a team, they work brilliantly and in unity. They were attentive! Furthermore, the restaurant was clean, bathroom was nice and clean, and store easy to shop, with employees offering to help and willing to assist. From start to finish, every detail was covered during our visit and nothing was left unturned. THIS is the location all other locations should be sending their staff to train! We’ve been to other local Cracker Barrel’s and we were not overly impressed with service or food. This evening changed our view, and we cannot wait to come back again!

Had a large party of 11 for family dinner. Food was hot and reasonably priced. The honey fried chicken was good. I would recommend sharing it and not taking it home. It doesn’t reheat well and doesn’t tastes as good as when it was fresh. The wired part was that bread baskets were not offered. Was told by the waitress they can’t offer it to the table unless we asked for it. Glad they kept the logos and old feel charm of the decor.

Hits the spot! We came in for some lunch and had a great time. I got the Grilled Chicken Country Salad with a side of bacon mac and cheese with Watermelon Lemonade. Such a disappointment! Yearly, during the fall season only, CB offers a country fried turkey. I ordered it to go, 2 meals actually, and went inside to pick up and pay. Order was incorrect, glad I checked. Rechecked, not correct. Paid and left. Drove an hour home, no muffins that had been specifically requested. It was a disappointing meal and a service disaster. People's lives hinge on dietary needs and mistakes here are quite traumatic. You are NEVER too busy in food service, or any customer service, to treat the person or order in front of you correctly. Fundamental concept of success, society-business-service-anywhere!

Hostess that seated my friend and I was friendly, and the waiter was attentive, and anticipated our needs. He even brought me my birthday treat, , I had enquired on how to redeem it. My friend and I commented on the new and cleaner graphics wise, the menus looked since our last visit. Food was good. My friend's ham was too salty for her, replaced immediately for her. The coffee for me, could be better tasting, and hotter temperature when brought to the customer.

I have only had one issue here, took too long to get shrimp. We were there over an hour, had laughs and good company. But by the time we finished our food, the shrimp finally came out. They told us several times it was ready, but when we complained to the manager, he told they had to thaw it out which took longer and he wasn't sure why they kept saying it was ready. Other than that we love it here. I love the fact that if you have to wait to be seated or even when you're done, they have a store to shop in. It's very organized and always changing.

Service was very slow to sit us down. There wasn't anyone there and we waited over 5 minutes for some one to seat us. Just kept walking by and looking at us. Ordered chicken fried chicken. The chicken was not thoroughly cooked had to send back and the potatoes and green beans was only warm,not hot. Gracie was a great caring Server and apologized.

I had a to go order yesterday and my food quality was terrible. I had a hole, yes a hole in my pancakes I thought the missing piece was on the to go platter but no it wasn’t. Then my other two pancakes were hard on the outside and rubbery in the middle, tasted microwaved. I did call and spoke to the manager, and she offered me an excuse that the kitchen makes the batter fresh every morning and said she saw them making the batter that morning. Then the explanation for the hole in my pancake was they must have checked to see if it was done but they shouldn’t do that. I normally don’t post but the pancakes gave me the sense that they were old and I just couldn’t eat it. I tried I just couldn’t. The manager said she would comp my meal but I didn’t see that she did.

It was a bit confusing walking in. i thought i went into the wrong place. There were children's running around playing with the little shop 1 even pushed me didnt appolizged. I can say everyone who works here is very welcoming. My waiters were very sweet, very helpful. I ordered a few items on the menu. I enjoyed the freshly made biscuits. For the steak & egg casserole, I didn't like the steak it was overly cooked. French toast I only ate the fruits because the toast in general tasted as if I was eating straight flour dough was mushy and to be honest wasn't pleasent taste.. My son enjoyed his chicken w/Mac and cheese and also the potoes cheese bacon and fries. When it was time to pay, I was confused and was told to pay at the gift shop.

My Mom and I went for lunch yesterday for a nice visit she had not been there in years as well as I. The Staff was really courteous and friendly. Our Waitress took our orders. My Mom had ordered the Chicken and Dumplings and 2 Sides, with a side of ranch sauce. I had ordered the Meatloaf with 2 sides and a Cup of Chicken Noodle Soup as an Appetizer. They brought out the biscuits and cornbread which was awesome. Then the Main Dishes came out. My Mom did not get her side of ranch for the side she had ordered. She loved the rest of the food. I did not get my Chicken Noodle Soup as an Appetizer as I was supposed to and the was No gravy on my Mashed Potatoes. So I flagged down the waitress and asked about the gravy, the soup and the ranch. After several minutes into our meal we finally got our other items. I went to sample the Chicken Noodle Soup and it was ice cold. So I flagged down the waitress and told I do not want this. It's Cold. She got me a refund on the soup but I do Not think I will return anytime soon. I was really disappointed. The servers and chefs should be making sure this is managed. Clearly it was not. I had dinner at the Rosenberg location with my family on Friday, November 20th. The food was not the best definitely not up to Cracker Barrel standards that we were used to. I had the country fried turkey and that was good and very tender seasoned well and tasty. Also had the turnip greens which were pretty decent. In addition to that I had the glazed carrots which were not glazed at all. They pour the carrots out of the bag cook them, and that was it. Nothing was on the carrots. That went for my husband and my dad also. We had two season the carrots up as much as possible to even attempt to eat them. My dad had the fried catfish and he did not enjoy that at all. It did not look good sitting on his plate. My sister had the green beans again, no seasoning. It was almost like they literally opened a can or opened the bag and dumped them into a pot cook them, and then put them on a plate. It was not up to Cracker Barrel standards at all. The selected desserts are horrible. What happened to the peach cobbler ? Was very disappointed. One other thing I would like to say is when the servers are at the end of their shift and they may be tired. That doesn’t mean the table that you’re serving does not deserve good service. Learn to hide your frustrations or tiredness from your face because the customers can see it.

The restaurant can use some deep cleaning in the dining room. The tables should not be cleaned with the same towel you just cleaned the seats with. Salt & pepper shaker was dirty. Servers are very nice. The food should be served hot not cold

Unfortunately, this location has just gone downhill. We went to dinner on a Friday night. We had about a 10 minute wait, which wasn’t bad for a Friday night, but it wasn’t crowded at all. It was a little while before our server came to our table. She did apologize for the wait, but not sure why there was one as it was not very busy. She brought out cornbread and apologized that it was cold, but said that they were making more. She said she would bring us fresh once they had it ready, but she never did. Our food came and it was just awful. I had the fish fry with baked potato and fried okra. I had asked for just butter and sour cream on my potato, but it had cheese, bacon and green onions on it. I went ahead and took a few bites but it was probably the worst potato I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how you mess up a potato that badly but it tasted like it had been cooked a few days ago and sat in foil for a few days before being warmed over. The okra, which I normally love, was dry and overcooked. I found about 4 or 5 pieces that were edible.The fish was ok. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was very low quality. He did eat his mashed potatoes which were so-so. Service was friendly, but not great (forgot my hot tea, gave my husband okra instead of the green beans he ordered, never brought out the fresh cornbread - we were just ready to leave, so we didn’t request it again.) As we were leaving, we heard another customer complaining to the manager about some of the same issues we had.

We didnt wait long, which is nice. We asked for simple drinks iced tea and water. I got a water, then 10 minutes staff filled my water glass with tea, had no water. Food took about 30 minutes or 16 of the peg game. Food was good, really fresh....but waitress disappeared. We had to get other people to help us. Ive been here dozens of times, and have never been treated like this. Im glad they didnt change to style of the restaurant.

I really like Cracker Barrel for having many country comfort food favorites, but I travel a lot & have definitely noticed inconsistencies from store to store. The food can be so different. I came to love their pot roast from recent travels where it really tasted homemade, with real & very tasty mashed potatoes. Well, I got this meal @ this store & it was nothing like I've had elsewhere. The beef was cooked perfect, but the gravy tasted like it came from a chemical package, the veggies were very overcooked, & the mashed potatoes tasted like bland processed potatoes that originated from a box. Overall I was very disappointed & ended up with indigestion from the awful gravy. I won't be every stopping at this CB ever again.

I got catering from Cracker Barrel recently, and it was kind of a mixed experience. The mac 'n cheese was super creamy and delicious. But the chicken tenders and cheeseburger sliders were way overcooked. The sliders were dry and tough, so we ended up tossing almost an entire tray. I wouldn’t order those two items again, but the mac 'n cheese is definitely worth getting.

Food was great. Service was terrible. Had to remind our waitress about the drinks, was missing 1 side on my plate, brought it after. Realized my wife was also missing a side brought it up thinking it had pancakes after seeing “buttermilk” on the description earlier and she said it wasn’t on there, I checked and she was infact CORRECT. But it did say it came with BUTTERMILK BISCUITS, I let it go. Saw people that came in after we did, get served bread that they usually serve while we wait. We did not get any. Waitress seemed nice but also gave a feeling as if though she really didnt want to be there.

Husband and I had not eaten at Cracker Barrel in over a year. We decided to pick up their wonderful—or so it used to be—turkey dinner. We each received just a smidgen of turkey, dressing was terrible as were the green beans and sweet potatoes. Prices have gone up and the quality and portions of the food is definitely down! We will take our money and appetites elsewhere. Pitiful! No stars.

My waitress took my drink order and then walked around and had conversations with other tables, after five minutes I decided to leave because she obviously forgot she had a customer who had not received their drink or even their order taken. More training is needed.

My boyfriend and I came for a late lunch on 11/7, and the service was terrible. The host seated us and brought our drinks but forgot the water we ordered, and no one ever came back to take our food order. After being ignored by multiple staff members, we finally asked another server for the check and left. While we were there, we overheard the manager arguing with another table about raw food and a guest breaking a tooth on a bone in their green beans. The manager’s response, “I don’t know what you want me to do,” was shocking and unprofessional. Overall, the service and management were unacceptable. We won’t be returning, and corporate should really consider retraining this location’s staff and management.

Second time at this place. Was seated and forgotten. No one came to the table for 20 minutes. As I was leaving I told the hostess we were not served at all. She still said, have a nice day. Had no idea she had just seated us.

I will more than likely keep leaving these reviews but here goes nothing. I had a server named Chris.. young gentleman with tattoos and light skin. He was nothing but the best. He constantly checked on my husband and I, he made sure our drinks were never empty, and he made everything feel natural. Now Chris is not the issue, the management is. I believe his name is Keith.. he yelled at Chris. I heard Keith using very harsh language with Chris. He used the “F” word repeatedly with Chris and I even heard him tell everyone that Chris was a “bad server.” I believe Chris might just be the best.. he was out more than any other server! This really ruined my Cracker Barrel experience. Seeing a server try his best and get harassed is pitiful. I pray Chris is well and this gets taken care of because now my husband and I will just be taking our money to a different location. 10/10 Server.. 0/10 management. What a horrible manager!! Update: Days later and no reply to my review but every other review has one. Prime example of horrible HORRIBLE managing. Not a day goes by where we feel sympathy for that wonderful server we had. I pray this facility gets a new manager because this is just pitiful!

No one was at the desk to greet or seat my and daughter after waiting we were seated. The server took our order never came back once to refill coffee or ask if we needed anything. An item we placed they were out of. When I received my check I was charged for that item never recieved. I ask to speak with a manager (older woman with glasses and white hair) first thing she asks is “you not from here are you” ? What did that have to do with my bill or service. I did not have to pay for item never recieved . Never will I return horrible service and poor management.
