Bryant & Cooper is a classic steakhouse known for its excellent steaks, especially the Cajun Ribeye. The service is generally attentive and professional, but the restaurant can be very crowded and noisy, leading to waits even with reservations.

Tip: Make reservations in advance, but be prepared to wait. The Cajun ribeye is highly recommended, along with the creamed spinach and baked clams.

Bryant & Cooper’s never misses, consistently excellent food and service. The staff is exceptional and genuinely makes you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. Julio, the manager, especially deserves a shoutout. He always does right by the customer and sets the tone for an experience that feels welcoming. You can tell the team truly cares, and it shows in every detail. Amazing steaks - Cajun porterhouse, a dirty martini, and a bacon cheeseburger as an appetizer with a side of fried onions. A classic for a reason.
Best steakhouse on Long Island. Best lobster, too. I've never ventured away from either of those so I can't comment on other dishes. Everything looks delicious, tho. And service is terrific, of course.!!!
Been here a handful of times but this was the first time I had lunch here. Ate at the bar and the service remained top notch as advertised. Raphael served up the drinks really well and offered great suggestions. Even at the bar, both Tom and John checked on us regularly and made us feel great — like pretty much every time. Eating at lunch was no different with the food either, as it was just as good.
Excellent steaks , desserts and great service. Fully enjoyable meal!
My nephew and myself wanted to impress this good friend of us so we took him for dinner at Bryant & Cooper Steak House. The place was very busy so we had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. We ordered two ribeye steaks to share monks the three of ours so we brought him here. This was not our first time here which right away shows you have much we like the place. For starters ordered some Baked Clams and the Prawn/Shrimp salad. We had a lovely and expensive bottle of red wine with the meal. For the main course, we had 2 Porterhouse Steaks. Even though the place was busy and full of people, the atmosphere was festive and buzzing with excitement.
The steak and all the menu is really good. The service is amazing! Our table was taken care by Moreno and he is a wonderful person with all the stuff. The best steak house ❤️
First time. Once you walk in noise and the vibe is overwhelming a bit, and if the bar is busy with people having dinner there, well it becomes challenging to be able to get a drink, very tight area and the layout is completely wrong if you ask me. Besides that, very well maintained old steak house. Once they sit you down, the food is out of this world, we had cold crab legs, their signature salad, and Cajun steak, out of this world. Drinks excellent, service superb.
Excellent! The Cajun Rib Eye is a masterpiece. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. One of the best cuts of steak 🥩 I’ve had in a long time. Outstanding!
🥩 Bryant & Cooper – A Classic Done Right 🍷 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review Another fabulous evening for dinner spent here down in the books! I go here a few times yearly for special occasions and it never ceases to delight my culinary senses! It is a fine dining steakhouse and is guaranteed to never let you down. This place is quit a bit pricey so maybe you may want to take a high end client, special date or your spouse here 😉 Some of my favorite dishes that I highly recommend, enjoy and reorder each time are the following: Appetizers : the Maryland crab cakes are to die for, the shrimp cocktail is a 4/lb ct, and the caprese salad with Buffalo mozzarella, basil & tomato … Entrées/Main Course: 16 is Cajun filet mignon (8 & 10 ozs also avail) done medium rare temperature, broiled whole dover sole (it’s a sight to behold as the waiter debones it in-front if you to perfection), sides of home fries lightly crisp & the grilled asparagus with garlic & oil … Desert: the homemade crème brûlée & their in-house vanilla ice cream paired with any coffee, cappuccino or expresso… This is a fabulous, classy, & well run establishment! The staff is professional & service is impeccable. The food… oh the food… I’ve not had a bad meal yet, and I’ve been coming here for many years. While this being fabulous steakhouse, they do an amazing job with seafood as well. I highly recommend this establishment! Fine dining at its best! So….. If you’re craving a true steakhouse experience, Bryant & Cooper delivers every time. From the perfectly seared porterhouse to the rich lobster bisque and crisp Caesar salad, everything is top-tier. The service is sharp, the wine list is solid, and the old-school vibe? Timeless. A must for special occasions or whenever you’re in the mood for a proper steak. FYI, dress nice. Ladies in a nice dress, blouse & trousers. Men in a button down shirt. Casual dressy or business casual. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #BryantAndCooper #SteakhouseVibes #LongIslandEats #FoodieFavorites #ClassicSteakhouse #PorterhousePerfection
We had 2 Porterhouses for 4 as we were a party of 8. Ordered medium rare and they were perfect. Seasoned well, tender melt in your mouth. Their house steak sauce is also very good but you didn’t need it and the natural flavor was great. For sides we tried string beans, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes, all were delicious. Oh, I forgot about the appetizers! Baked clams, clams casino, shrimp cocktail (4 shrimp, they were huge), mozzarella and tomato, and burrata was a special. All were very good.
Excellent steak restaurant very big place for a large parties valet parking upscale nice bar, family friendly The only negative is it’s very noisy Reservations ~> If you like my review please press follow on my google profile. Absolute excellence, came here for Christmas Eve dinner to a fabulous experience! Service is professional and friendly, the inside is simple and intimate. We started with stuffed clams, clams casino, tuna tartare and a salad all fantastic. I got the Lamb Chops Lollipop + Cajun style… makes a beautiful crust and spice to some amazing chops. Sides of hash browns, spinach, and mushrooms all paired well. We loved the Pecan Pie and the banna cream pie was very good aswell. We loved it here and will be looking forward to returning back.
Great steak house! Older crowd with a fun lively atmosphere!! Servers are so professional and nice! Food was great quality! We ordered the stuffed shrimps either crab meat as our appetizer and the baked clams- this was the best 2 dishes I have ever had from a steakhouse. Seafood was very fresh! Steaks were great, we got the Cajun rib steak and the filet mignon! Pecan pie is a must!!
This fancy restaurant was fantastic! Our Server was very great and no food problems were made! The food was great as well. The Bread and Butter tastes very good. The soft Prime Sirloin Steak was The Decor was very nice and admiring. There was perfect lighting, fantastic and detailed paintings, and comfortable seats. There was no wait in line when three people and I made a reservation at 6:30. The temperature was also warm and perfect for the cold winter. The clean silverware and plates were also PERFECT for the dishes! Everything was perfect in the restaurant for me except for this. Why did the employees here don’t put Christmas lights around the plants and around the restaurant(does not count for a bad thing in this great restaurant but I was just saying)? I thought for this restaurant to be decorative. I know that it’s too early to put in lights since it’s MORE THAN A WEEK until Christmas,so for now, I will count on people to hopefully put some pictures of the build in Christmas Eve. 😊😊😊
Food is excellent, true to NY style steakhouse. No complaints about the food. Not 5 stars due to the massive crowd. We had to wait 30+ mins even though we had reservation. Not ideal, especially because we had to wait in an area that clearly needed to be cleared out for staff to get through to serve diners. Once we were seated, it was impossible to hear the people I am sitting with due to the sheer volume of people in a small space. I get that it's a vibe, but why should I havr to yell at the person right next to me just so they can hear me? Would love to come again if the experience was a little less claustrophobic and had a quieter atmosphere.
Solid place, attentive service but big price tag. Some little detail often gets missed like a side dish or extra olives for a martini. Huge portions and very tasty food overall. We come every year for the holidays
We had a very nice family dinner at Bryant & Cooper to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is a typical old style steakhouse and gets a very nice crowd ( can be very crowded) on the weekends. The service is very attentive and professional. The food is very good but sometimes missed the spot and it’s overpriced like many restaurants. The fillet mignon is a good choice. The porterhouse steak was good but not great at $300 for 4 people. The Lemon Sole was very fresh and the Lemon Pepper Chicken excellent. The salads are good to share with others. The sides are hit and miss but the fries and cottage fries could be improved. Chicken fingers for kids came out burnt and not suitable for eating. Deserts are large and tasty. You will definitely spend $100 per person.
Delicious delicious delicious! For apps I got the tomato & onion and baked clams. The baked clams were a hit! We all loved them. I would say the wine selection is a little pricey, but the cab we chose was perfect. For entrees we split a porterhouse for 2, linguine and clams, and the crab stuffed shrimp. The steak was 10/10! The linguine and clams was absolutely delicious, and the crabmeat stuffed shrimp were huge! We enjoyed our meal very much, and ended with pecan pie, key lime pie, and cheesecake. I didn’t try the pecan pie or cheesecake, but I was totally obsessed with the key lime pie!!! The only downside was the service.. I was a bit annoyed we were seated and haven’t been given water for quite some time meanwhile a table that got seated next to us had their water poured immediately… and even though we sat right next to the table, once they were done pouring the water in their cups, they still didn’t pour ours so I had to ask. We also never got our water refilled once, whereas the other table did. Would definitely come back again for the food!
I want to make it clear my review is not indicative of the food or staff. Service review is 3 because of my complaint mentioned below, not literal service or food wait times etc. My family has been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. The food is absolutely wonderful and the staff, (including valet), are lovely and extremely hospitable. Definitely my top 5 local restaurants. If you are considering dining here, COME!!! It’s amazing. I am writing this only to provide constructive criticism to the restaurant. My issue stems with the parking. While the restaurant isn’t big, I wouldn’t consider it small either. There is simply not enough space to accommodate everyone during peak hours. Today while picking up food 5 minutes away,(not from B&C), I sat in standstill traffic in front of this restaurant for 25 minutes minimum because cars could not enter the lot. A 15 minute drive home turned into 40, and my food was cold. There were civilians directing people not to turn right at the intersection, I turned anyway thinking it would resolve, but it didn’t. I thought there must’ve been a major accident until I realized where I was and how no cops had arrived. People were literally leaving their cars to chat with others stuck in traffic. There is normally slight congestion here on weekends, maybe 5-10 minutes, but this is the worst i’ve ever experienced. To the owners: Please find a way to expand parking. Whether that be buying out a close lot, or relocating and expanding the size, it’s needed. It begins to become a safety hazard when people are making illegal turns, reversing in bumper to bumper traffic, and running lights to get out of the jam. NY drivers are aggressive. My car was nearly hit today because of the road rage from the driver in front of me. I’m honestly surprised B&C hasn’t expanded yet considering how amazing and busy of a restaurant it is. I could see it being the size of Rothmans. Food, service, and atmosphere: Stellar Parking: A nightmare
Had an okay experience. The food was not memorable. It was good, but not what you would expect from a highly rated steakhouse. The tables are so tightly crammed together you’d think you’re in Manhattan but actually you’re in Long Island, so what’s the deal with that?
My wife and I felt like splurging so decided to try Bryant and Cooper. The ambiance was fine, if a little loud, but the food was decidedly average. Our porterhouse was ok at best and the sides were a little worse than that. The crab cake appetizer was good but that hardly makes up for the rest. According to Newsday, this is one of Nassau County's best steakhouses. I find that hard to believe. We won't be back.
We visited Bryant and Cooper recently to celebrate our anniversary and just about had an okay experience. The food was average. The steak was cooked to the right temperature, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor. We also ordered mushrooms, asparagus and fried onions and again, nothing special! What deserves a mention are the drinks, the tuna tartar and the crabcake which were all amazing. The highlight was definitely the service. Our server was attentive, polite. That said, the restaurant was extremely crowded and the tables are too close for comfort. The noise level made conversation difficult, and the cramped seating took away from what could’ve been a more relaxed dining experience.
We went for Christmas Eve dinner. Never been here. We would’ve went to Peter Lugers if we planned better. However, we felt this would be close considering location, prices and atmosphere. Well, plates are old with wear markings, the porterhouse for two was pre-prepared and heated up, Brussels were nuked as well as the home fries (lyonnaise potato’s) which were NOT thinly slices as they should be. Dinner felt rushed. Keylime pie was still “frozen” (really? Frozen?). Didn’t feel it was a $500+ experience. Next time I’ll be better prepared and make Peter Lugers reservations earlier. Very disappointing
I have NEVER ever been treated with such utter disrespect at this establishment by the manager and our waiter. Our dinner started off with us waiting an hour and a half for our table. My entire family came here for my mother’s 62nd birthday after making this reservation WEEKS in advance because it is my mom’s favorite restaurant on Long Island. My mom’s first steak came and it was visibly undercooked after her asking for it medium. Since she just had food poisoning recently, she was very nervous and asked for it to be cooked more. They brought her a new steak that was BURNT. I am not exaggerating when I say I watched her chew a bite of steak for 3 minutes. She was really upset with the steak but didn’t want to say anything again until my father ended up saying something. Our waiter said they will absolutely not be making her another steak and she can order any non steak dish off the menu at this STEAK RESTAURANT. My mother was visibly upset and kept apologizing and told them that it’s her birthday and she’s been looking forward to this steak for weeks and me and my entire family traveled here for this specific reservation. The manager then came and said that the chef refuses to make her another steak at all. Not only was this rude in itself, it was delivered very poorly, especially from a manager. My father and I then went up to the manager separately and politely asked him if the kitchen can make another steak, even offering to pay for an additional one or two because he just wants her to get her steak. Again, the manager refused. I was in the middle of explaining to him that it’s my mothers birthday, her favorite restaurant, we travelled far here, she is starving, and we wanted AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR OUR TABLE WHEN WE HAD A RESERVATION. In the middle of me speaking politely the manager cuts me off bluntly and says they will not be making her another steak and the “decision is final” I have never in my life experienced service like this. The customer is always right was the complete opposite this entire night. Any other staff we talked to shut us down and said “if the lady won’t be ordering anything else we will bring you the check and not be continuing this discussion” I am a young women and I have never in my life felt so belittled by staff at a restaurant. Not to mention, my family had been going here for years, it’s tradition. Not anymore. After 15 years of attending this restaurant, I am honestly beaming ear to ear that we never have to deal with such disgusting staff ever again. I have gotten better customer service at chipotle and I am not kidding in the slightest.
Extremely disappointing experience. We ordered two steaks and both came out completely burnt, black on the outside and bitter to the taste. For a place that calls itself a top steakhouse, this is unacceptable. The manager refunded one steak, but both were ruined. On top of that, the service was mediocre. We had to ask repeatedly just to get water refilled. The tables are packed so close together it felt uncomfortable. At the beginning, we asked if we could combine tables since we ordered a lot, but the staff said no because they have the following reservation. We were there around 4:30pm, after we finished and left, the table next to us stayed empty the entire time. The price is absolutely not worth the quality or service. We will never come back.
