Our first time here. We will be back. There is valet parking, which in 10 degree weather is a huge plus. There was a coat check which is another perk. Then we were seated in the main dining area in a lovely and comfortable table with a cloth tablecloth and napkins, which is a great commodity nowadays in an era where even upscale restaurants have given into. The service was phenomenal. Presented with warm fresh rolls along with the menus. A food menu and a drinks menu. We dined a three course meal which was outstanding. From the starters to desert everything was cooked perfectly, plated and presented like an upscale restaurant should. The meal, service and atmosphere was worth the price. See you soon.
This is our go to spot for many holidays. A great staple restaurant ! Highly recommend. Very good food.
We had a lovely lunch in this very attractive restaurant today. The food was spectacular, from the warm rolls with delicious sweet butter, to a grilled chicken Cobb salad (probably the best I’ve ever had!) and a radicchio salad. The service was impeccable. We would go back in a heartbeat.
The food here is tasty and pleasant to the eye. Sitting by the water view and watching the geese fly in and land on the water goes extremely well with that ambiance and business. The hospitality here is outstanding from the time we walked in until the time we picked up our cars from the valet.
The food was amazing! Every dish was outstanding. Even dessert. It is super cozy. Great for dates as well as quiet family dinners. The only downfall was the service. Our waitress was more concerned about sitting at the bar instead of actually waiting on us. We had to ask other staff to find her when we needed something. Other than that, it was a great dinner!
Great staff, atmosphere and food....Our hostess Jeanine and server Danielle were outstanding! They were extremely helpful, personable, attentive and professional. In addition, the food and cocktails were fantastic! My lamb chops were off the charts delicious. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and comfortable! I can't wait to return!
My husband and I decided we wanted to have a small intimate wedding at a place that felt cozy but with exceptional food! We decided on Thyme and we are just still so thankful for how amazing it all turned out to be. Pam was my contact from the beginning and she was extremely helpful and attentive and always responded in a timely manner. Everything from the space, the ambiance, the service and especially the food was just perfect! We could not be happier with having chosen Thyme to host our wedding reception. All of our gusts had a great time and raved about how delicious everything was. The only downside was that there was absolutely no dancing due to the wooden floors and it being upstairs and I thought I’d miss that we didn’t dance but honestly we didn’t miss anything by not dancing. We dance all the time anyway :) Thank you to the 4 servers/waitstaff and bartender with us Saturday night. You guys were just awesome!!! Thank you so much!
My husband and I joined two friends last night for a most wonderful dinner. I wanted to eat healthy, and ordered the Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna Bowl. It was nothing short of spectacular. I will go so far as to say....it was the best salad I've ever had in my life. Okay, I speak in superlatives, but really, I don't recall ever eating a salad more delicious, plentiful and wonderful. I plan on going back again and again. Thank you. Thyme is a new discovery for us. Loved it.
I recently hosted a surprise brunch here for my Mom's 70th birthday. Pam was amazing to work with and answered all of my questions. She was very responsive and helpful with planning. The wait staff for the event was extremely attentive and communicative. The food was out of this world. Our party has been raving about the whole experience ever since! Would definitely recommend booking Thyme restaurant for events. Everything went perfectly!
First time at this location after a google search for Roslyn lunch spots with outdoor seating. Must say, i’m glad to have found this place as I will certainly be back to try some more dishes. The calamari appetizer was particularly good with fresh greens and flavor. The Seafood paella was excellent with fresh shellfish and jumbo shrimp that was a great mix with the rice and broth. Expect very attentive service and a nice view of the lake if you’re on the patio. Highly recommended!
Thyme is famous for brunch. The hostess Jeanine made sure we had our favorite table outdoors (in the back on the patio facing the water), even though it was t initially available. Tyler is an outstanding server. He was attentive, service oriented, humorous, had great opinions, and well mannered. The two of them made our day perfect. It was a big celebration for us, and I couldn’t think of a better place, food, or service to have made the day enjoyable. I had the mushroom omelette and my wife had the salmon Eggs Benedict.
Absolutely amazing service, everyone working here has such a pleasant attitude, from the valet guy to the door greeter to the bus boys etc. Thyme has amazing ambiance and an overall feel I like to describe as cozy yet elegant, classy but not uptight. Perfect for after work or even a formal dinner. They have an upstairs for added capacity on the weekends/ busier days. The drinks were strong (in the best way) and delicious, & you could taste the care and attention that went into each meal made.
Came here for brunch a few weeks ago and I must say this place is just spectacular! The food was just beyond delicious. Don’t get me started on their service! They’re very welcoming and friendly! We did not expect the portions to fill us but trust me, we were all super full but despite being full we wanted to get dessert. Who says no to dessert anyways?! Their desserts were not too sweet but just perfect! Would definitely come back here to try other items on their menu! I’d also recommend making reservations as this place seems to get pretty packed during brunch.
Went here considering an upcoming event to try the food. The location is lovely and quaint, they had live music, though we ate outside which was pleasant because it was a nice summer evening. The food was fresh and well prepared, fairly priced and the service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.
Nice view from back patio. Service was a bit lacking in terms of personality and attitude. I don't mind pricey, but the menu was limited and the food was good, not great.
The vibes in Roslyn neighborhood is quite cozy, slow paced and great for weekend brunch. The decor of Thyme is classy, elegant and great for larger group. We were there as a group of 5 for family gathering right at about 11:30 on a Saturday morning and seated promptly. They served solid new America style brunch with affordable price ($22 with a drink and an entree) and great varieties. However, the food was just okay and not surprised, especially their filet salmon was cooked really dry and grilled asparagus was salty. Our favorite was their complimentary scones, well baked and great with their cinnamon butter.
- Easy metered parking with 3 hours minimum allows. - Valet parking available - Get there early or make a reservation. This restaurant fills up fast. - Amazing food with reasonable portion for the hefty price. One of my guests told me, “there is no way you can make this at home.” The salmon and French toasts were our favorite. - Service is lacking. Staff looked burned out within one hour of opening and I felt rushed to finish my food. - Brunch menu does not include coffee (can be ordered separately) and substitution is not allowed.
I went to Thyme as it was walking distance from my hotel, I was in the area for 1 night for business. I sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly, and when asked, said the Malbec was good, I ordered a glass and the Filet medium rare with truffle parm fries. The Malbec was good, and the steak was cooked to proper temperature. However, the quality of the meat was simply sub par, I also didn't care for the red wine sauce flavoring. The Parm truffle fries were ok but difficult to eat. There was an absolute mountain of them (see photo), hard to get with a fork and annoying to eat with your hands. I wouldn't recommend that entree. For dessert, the bartender recommended the chocolate torte. That was very tasty and I would recommend it.
We ordered the Sirloin Burger and the BBQ Hash and Egg. Both dishes were... just OK. Nothing special. The burger, while cooked to the requested temperature, lacked any distinctive flavor that would set it apart from what you might find at any standard pub. The toppings were fresh enough, but the overall execution felt uninspired. Similarly, the BBQ Hash and Egg had all the right components—brisket, potatoes, egg—but somehow failed to come together in a memorable way.
Though well presented, the food was bland, fairly flavourless and way overpriced for what it was. We received a single bread roll each, placed on our plate with a set of tongs. The meals which were served to our party after this were consistently disappointing. The dining tables are set quite close together such that you can hear the conversations of all the tables near your own. When we arrived, most of the restaurant was empty yet we were seated immediately adjacent to an occupied table. I also have concerns about the cleanliness of this restaurant given that a fly was buzzing around our food the entire time - despite being seated indoors, during the fall season. Our waiter appeared disinterested in his work and we were glad to leave. I would not recommend this restaurant which ultimately felt like an unpleasant waste of money and time.
Tried to go back a second time: They cancelled our Mother's Day lunch reservation as we were leaving to go. We had to scramble to find another place. We will not be going back. Tucked away in an historical village, there's a gem of a restaurant. Clean, beautiful view and delicious food. Brunch was fabulous. Get there early and you miss the crowds. Service is great. Outdoor dining is a plus. Desserts could use some work. Overall, it's a good value for the money spent.
