Pretty good, nice takeout curbside experience. They staff was responsive and quick, didn’t have to wait for long. Felt safe and taken care of during this pandemic era. Wow burgers! The flavor is intense and this should be the standard for any sit down restaurant! Had a good night burger and added bacon and eggs (good morning burger!). Family had the Llano poblano with the truffle fries and sweet-potato fries! Love the tastes! The mustard sauce was unique and a nice tang. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. They have stubborn flavored sodas and I spied some Margaritas a few tables over. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! Edit: still amazing. Add eggs!

I keep going back to Hopdoddy when I want a delicious gourmet burger! The menu is a little limited right now and they aren’t serving my favorite bison burgers. This visit I got the Llano Poblano. Best burger place as usual: ordered classic burger with fried egg, el diablo burger, kids hamburger and french fried. Everything taste so yummy and fresh. It took us more than 35 min to get our order, it was super busy Sunday around 1:30 pm which means that this burger place is the best!!!

Good burgers and good service. Very efficient order process: you're assigned a table up front, place your order, get your fountain drinks, and take your seat. They'll bring your foof to you when ready. They also feature limited time menu choices. Friday nights, especially in cold weather with no outside seating, can be very busy.

This was a cute little find while in town in Round Rock! My husband and I had burgers. Mine was the classic burger and his was the El Diablo. We also shared the hot honey and sage brussel sprouts! The hot honey and sage brussel sprouts were off the chain! Will definitely be going back for those brussel sprouts!

A must-have in any neighborhood I live in. It's a small trek, but it's worth it. The quality of the food, the ticket times and atmosphere are all 10s. Outside seating is really nice and remains clean.

Hopdoddy serves great burgers, but they are on bit pricey side comparing to other brands of quality burgers. We do come here once in a while, so that keeps our bank account safe. I usually order Diablo and have a margarita on the side if I'm not driving, the kids they love the truffle fries.

First off if you have a problem with paying more than 5 bucks for a burger or waiting in line move on Macdonald's is down the road. Burgers are very good service is great and really friendly people. The parmesan truffle fries are awesome. and wait for it they will even cook your burger the way you want it.

Damn Good Burger! You order at the counter, but then they tell you where to sit, so that was interesting. Not bad, just different. The fries were very tasty. I ordered the regular, but there are a lot of options for different fries. They serve Pepsi products. I highly recommend this place. Also it wasn't that long of a wait. We were in and out within 30 minutes.

The classic burger with cheeses is my favorite. It’s so good and classic tasting. We tried two new burgers today the llano poblano burger. Very good just a little spicy. The Rosco chicken sandwich… okay so my kids loved it. I did like it at all. 🥴 it had peanut butter, raspberry jam fried chicken bacon on a waffle bun. The peanut butter was to much for me. Like I said the kids loved it they want to make there own at home.. Garlic parm truffle fries are the best so good. 1 bowl feeds a lot.

The overall experience in this restaurant is amazing. I was surprised by how fast my order was ready. In less than 10 minutes we had 5 burgers with 2 bowls of fries. The quality of the food is amazing, and quite unique, since the burger’s meat was fresh, soft, and had a strong flavor that you could actually enjoy. This is a must-visit restaurant if you’re looking for a quality meal that won’t leave you hungry after a few minutes.

My first experience here was through uber eats and my burger was soggy and cold. So I came tonight to give it a real try. The burger is great! The fries are thin and tasty! The side of truffle sauce is the way to go. I got the classic burger with cheese and bacon. I realized they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked which was a bummer. I prefer more rare, but this burger was still very good how it came (medium well). I love how thin the fries are. I got the "Big Daddy" margarita that comes with Grand Marnier and boy did it pack a punch! I normally get two drinks, but that one packed the punch of two. I make my own margaritas with grand marnier at home, so I am no stranger to the concept. Very good! I was disappointed the side of fries couldn't be truffle fries, but the side of truffle sauce with the regular fries was amazing! The only bad thing about this place is that you have to order at the counter, so if you like having someone wait on you, this is not the place. Regardless, delicious! The Nutella pretzel milkshake was also to die for.

We hadn't been to Hopdoddy Burger Bar (Round Rock, TX) in a long while because they had really gone downhill. However, my friend and I decided to give it another try today. So glad we did! I got the original hand cut fries extra crispy - and they were hot off the fryer and very crispy! I went for the magic shroom burger. I didn't get the sauces on it and held the basil pesto and mayo and the L, T, O. However, I added the caramelized onions to it - and it had creamy goat cheese too. Ordered medium cook - and it was so good! The goat cheese added that layer of creaminess and the onions were perfect with the shrooms! They make everything, including the rolls, in house! Forgot to take the burger pic til I ate half of it! It was THAT good! Very enjoyable meal! My friend got the classic burger, but I also forgot pics of hers! Note: do NOT go today - their AC is out..and it was HOT in there - I felt bad for the people in the kitchen!

This is a solid choice for burgers. The burgers taste good and you have great options. The staff is very friendly. The price is similar to any other burger place. There was a long wait to order. Elliana has created the best drink concoction on the planet. Sure, there are margarita games, but is it really a game if you're playing with fire? Or rather, strawberry jalapeno margaritas?! Yes, higher ups of Hop Doddy, a strawberry jalapeno margarita. I am appreciative of the cucumber lime margarita, and the spicy pineapple margarita was... There. But y'all need to have a march madness bracket to vote on a few run of different flavors and select the winner. Which there shan't be any other victor beyond the strawberry jalapeno margarita.

Stopped in here bc we had 'free milkshake' coupons from donating blood, and decided to just grab lunch while we were there. The parmesan truffle fries are just bursting with flavor and the truffle sauce they are served with, is incredible, I'd put it on everything. They use thin cut fries which are not my favorite but the flavor makes up for it. If you're a fan of goat cheese, the magic shroom burger is a must try. Absolutely delicious. I'm not sure how I'll try anything else on the menu bc I'll want to order this every time. Goat cheese is definitely the dominant flavor. My partner ordered the doddy melt, gave it a thumbs up too 👍. The milkshakes were also great!

Awesome place for a vegetarian who craves burger. I wonder why i did not find them earlier. Guilt free burgers with amazing flavours and equally good salad bowls. A must go for burger lovers. The patty was crunchy and the bun was really fresh. The order took a really long time at the counter but I’m not going to hold a grudge knowing that the person taking the order was under training. Just one remark - the Queso was lacking the Zing a bit.

This is a pretty cool place to go eat or a great first date place. The atmosphere is good indoor and out door seating. The service is excellent! They mostly serve burgers and some chicken sandwich options. It is expensive even for the after COVID world. And to me it isn't as good as other burger places I like more. I notice a ton of people seem to favor this as a lunch spot.

I like how large this location is compared to other sites. There's also plenty of outdoor seating and it's pretty when the sun goes down and the lights come on. It can get pretty busy but the line tends to move quickly. My meal is consistently good and the staff is always friendly. The gluten-free bun falls apart but that's pretty standard. They also offer making it without the bread and into a burger salad; still good. The hot honey and sage sweet potato fries are my favorite thing about this place. The bathroom is usually clean apart from the little bits of paper towel falling into the sink since the dispenser is directly over it. Overall, it's one of my favorite gluten-free options and I'm glad the line has s no longer out the door and around the building.

I pulled up to try the Smashburger and stayed for the purple Reign and Brussels sprouts. I'm going to rate the burger a solid 7. I like a bit more smash and caramelization on my Smashburger. The onion bun is taking over the show a bit. It's the first thing you taste.

Servers we're excellent. Fans were not on outside even though it was over 90. Very dog friendly. Hard for wheelchair bound people on the inside so had to eat outside. Truffle fries were MEH but the Bison burger was amazing.

This was my first time to visit the Round Rock location. As usual the food was fresh and delicious. I'm not sure that it's worth the 30-minute wait when the lines are long but we got there just after they opened and got waited on right away. The only issue we had was that the meat was a little bit heavily salted which I don't recall their food being that salty before. Otherwise an absolutely tasty burger in the words of Samuel L Jackson and would definitely go there again

Our family dined here based on the high reviews. We tried the sweet potato fries, chili queso loaded fries, buffalo bill burger, kids burger, Oreo milkshake, vanilla milkshake, and mushroom burger. The standout were the sweet potato fries. The buffalo bill burger had a mix of flavors that did not complement each other well. The flavors would be strengthened by a bbq sauce that was more sweet and less tangy (like a sweet baby ray style). The shakes were ok, similar to fast food ones. The queso was full of green chilis, which was nice and unexpected. Would give this place one more try before deciding whether or not to return again (or recommend). Next time we’ll try the diablo and veggie burgers.

I'm jumping straight into hopdoddy for flavorful sizzling soft meats and sides. This is a self-service open seating high-end casual burger joint. The burgers are always cooked up to tasty perfection although a bit pricey. Any burger you get is always great, although I recommend the primetime, double bacon jam, and the three Wisemen 5/5. The truffle brussels were a bit too salty 2/5, nacho fries a little soggy due to the cheese 3/5, kale Caesar salad 5/5. I recommend getting a burger and the salad, you won't regret the choice! Great upscale burger joint. Best of ingredients with a very creative spin and combinations of flavors. My current favorite is the Chillaquiles Rojos burger and definitely keep the egg! Service is great as I usually sit at the bar when I am by myself and skip the counter order line parking lot is shared so it can be hard to find a spot when it's busy.

The hamburgers were absolutely delicious. But if it's your first time there it's confusing how they do their seating. Since you have to stand in line and put your order in like Chipotle. Then they assign you a seat. We didn't know that and I sat down at a table because my back was hurting. We had hoped for a place at the bar where apparently you can give your order to the bartender. But once they assign you a seat you can no longer move to the bar if a space clears out. My biggest issue is that no one that works there smiled or even looked remotely happy. Even though the hamburgers were really good it was a little uncomfortable watching all these people walking around and everybody looks like they hate their life. I would have given it a five-star rating if that wasn't the case. Because the hamburgers were absolutely amazing

Was able to walk in and order right away. It was a first time so unsure of what to expect. I ordered the shroom burger. Everything was top notch but i didnt see it had pesto on it. Pesto is not my thing. So totally my fault. I deducted a star for the booth assigned to us being dirty and we had to clean off the seats before sitting down. I would try again but order differently. If your in the mood for a good burger. This is definitely a good option.

For this week's family Burger eating venture, we visited Hopdoddy Burger. The place was quite busy when we arrived, but we were able to find seating fairly quickly. We tried their shareable size Green chile queso fries and sweet potato fries, which were not bad. For the burger, I decided to play "safe" and went for Llano Poblano burger that consists of beef patties topped with pepper jack cheese, steakhouse bacon, seared poblanos, chipotle aioli, lettuce, tomato & onion. The presentation of the food was excellent, the taste of the burger was not bad but I believe it would have a hard time standing out among other burger joints around town. That being said, I would not mind going back and trying out some unique creations of the restaurant.

Solid place for specialty burgers. Like the option to have turkey subbed for the beef patties on any sandwich. The Ahi Tuna is a favorite. The food can be hit or miss, had a couple of times the food was undercooked or fries served cold. Sometimes the slower the restaurant is the slower the bar service. Still a go to place to meet with friends and have good food.

The burgers, fries, and shakes here are very good and consistent. It’s a bit pricey, the burgers and sandwiches should come with a side of regular fries at least. The music they play is way too loud. Can barely hear the guy I ordered from and have to shout to make myself understood.

Very good burger joint! However, it does not have full service table service. You have to order at the counter find your asigned table and someone brings your food to the table. There is also a person that walks around to each table to get you anything you may want. There was also a bar available. I liked the decor and the men's restroom was clean and well lit. Pretty cool little place, nice ambiance and good parking, I wish the food was better and could justify the high prices, $7 for a burger, no cheese or bacon, add $ 2.50 doesn't include fries $7 add a drink...etc. Obviously I can't compare this to any fast food joint in terms of pricing, however I think you can find a better burger. Keep looking.

Great Burger, friendly staff, Queso fries light on the Queso but still tasty. The only reason I am giving three stars is that you could not pay in cash, only with a card. My date had cash...so I ended up paying. No biggie, but there should be a sign up or we should have been told prior to ordering.

Great environment sadly the fries are a little. Overrated and the burgers are far from the greatest and you can find better elsewhere. Very clean resturant with a great energy if you want a place to meet and han with friends.

The food was good but the atmosphere was terrible! Everyone jammed in, and I get it is REALLY busy ..so being stressed is a thing... but flat-out rude is another :/ and every single one one the staff was having a severe attitude issue. The only cool thing about the place was the firepit tables outside, but there are only 2 of them, and people just hog them for long periods of time, so kinda useless.

Place was great. I had the classic burger and truffle fries. Tasted amazing. Only down side was there was a little hair on the side of my tray, it wasn't on the burger it self so I still ate. ( Don't judge me please 😭) Overall this place great. The birds on the patio are brave. be ware. 🐦

You were looking for a new burger place. As much as the flavor was on point.. The lines were too long.. They sat in places where they was customers already seating.. They also gave us food that was someone else's. My sandwich came out first..my wifes burger came out 15 mins later plus it was under cooked and pink. Customers around us were complaining about the same thing... They were completely unorganized..

Just ate here for the first time. Got the veggie burger and truffle fries. Despite having a lot of toppings, the burger was very dry and bland. The french fries were crispy but a few were really hard. That was $23 not including the tip. You can definitely find better veggie burgers elsewhere. Service was warm and friendly. Very helpful too.

Burgers are awesome here, love them every time. However, the service just sooo lack luster. Once you’ve ordered at the counter (with the frowning cashier) the service ends. Can’t get another drink, can’t get a box, can’t get a refill. I really wish hop doddy’s would change this. Tonight we got two burgers and two beers, I wanted to save my other half of my burger and grab another round of beers, but our “server” just avoided us after dropping off the food. I managed to grab a young lady to help, but it took her several back and forth trips to get two beers. I would imagine a place that tip pools to have more of a team attitude. Long story long, great burgers but bad service.

Disappointed overall. Fries were very chewy and VERY salty, no amount of water can fix that. There was literally a layer of salt at the bottom of the bowl. I added extra bacon to my burger, but there was barely any on the burger. Fries came 5 min before burger. Too expensive for this mediocrity. Never again.

I want to start out by saying I go to the Anderson location a lot and I always get great service and great food. I was surprised at how salty everything was. My burger my fries even my margarita. The fries were crispy and fresh but the amount of salt was ridiculous! Way too much I was able to eat them with the green Chile queso but even then you could taste the salt. I got the classic burger with the beyond patty it was ok. I just think they added too much seasoning and that made it salty as well. My margarita was good but maybe I was overwhelmed by the salt of everything else. Overall I think I might come back to this location but I don’t know. Pint house is literally across the street.

Revised review (previous review was too harsh and based on frustration). Context: we've had like 8 online/pickup food orders in a row (from all different restaurants) filled incorrectly. And we just ordered 4 burgers online from this restaurant (for the Super Bowl). My wife went to pick it up. It was all bagged up and pre-packaged, but when my wife got home, there were only three burgers. Pretty frustrating. But normally this place is pretty good (we actually agreed as a family to order here because we thought there was a high likelihood they wouldn't get it wrong). My wife is going to fill out the contact form and follow up with y'all.

What a disappointment, Hopdoddy is the first place I ate at 11 years ago when I moved to the city and was one of the best burgers. I had been ordering a few burgers from here to go on off recently that arrived cold so wanted a hot and fresh burger therefore I came to the restaurant for dine-in. My burger arrived super quick after ordering but was cold/lukewarm very disappointing. I didn’t come here for fast food I came to enjoy a gourmet burger and was ready to wait for it. Management needs to work on QC and service. Will stick with In-N-Out for now, hot/fresh and half the price.

I do not like places that make u order, pay, and ask for tips before u even get to experience service.. The BluCheese Burger was good! The Nacho Fries was great! The atmosphere was okay, however the service of the table servers treated me and my sister as if we were the black plague! The HopDoody servers went to every table in the restaurant, excluding the table with 2 black women. The black server wouldn't come to our table. We could not get a to go box as we were excluded and ignored. Great impression Austin TX to a visitor from California and Houston TX. Will not return to HopDoody Restaurant Bar in my opinion it is not a location for black people. Oh server you missed out on a $20.00 tip.

First visit and the environment is pretty cool. I like that they have foot rests under the tables so your legs aren’t just dangling (my shorter people may understand) There’s also covered outside seating. I got the Diablo Burger and Honey Sage Sweet Potato fries. Now for the burger I would’ve preferred it to be a little hotter. It does have jalapeños on it but the flavor didn’t give me “Diablo”. The overall flavor of the burger was mid level to what I was expecting from the pictures on the menu. Also the burgers are much smaller than I expected. The sweet potato fries were ok however there was too much honey on them. It over powered the flavor of the sweet potatoes. The truffles dipping sauce was tasty. Our drink cups were given to us dirty. One had lettuce still inside and the other had lipstick stains on the rim. Def not a good feeling that they are rushing to wash their dishes especially with the times we’re in now. Our meal total was over $40 which is truly over priced for the experience I received. Not to mention the fries were extra not included with the burger. I probably won’t visit again but this visit was okay.

First time visiting this branch. Usher unfriendly, table not set up properly. Impossible burger is nice but kinda dry. Parmesan Truffle fries is average. Food can be better. Service staff is attentive. Time of visit is 5pm

WHEN THEY GET THE ORDER RIGHT, it’s fantastic. We order from them and the receipt is always correct. However, they still mess up the order about half the time. This last time was the worst of all, prompting this post. I ordered a pretty regular burger, but they sent me a patty with ONLY lettuce on top and below. I’ve never ordered that in my life, nor did I know you could. They usually just leave the condiments off, which is annoying, but nothing this idiotic. Absolutely ridiculous.

We’ve been coming to this Hopdoddy for years and always enjoyed it, but recently the service and quality have gone downhill. The burgers are still very good, but the fries have become a real disappointment. On our last visit they were stale and hard, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it might have been a one-time mistake. Unfortunately, this time they were even worse. They were completely inedible. Some were so hard it felt like biting into them could actually hurt your teeth. I’m not sure if the preparation has changed or if the staff just doesn’t care and are serving old food, but it’s disheartening. This used to be a place we could rely on for consistently good food, and it’s sad to see the decline. The picture is what was left over from a group of 5 and we are all big fry lovers!

First time visiting this place, walked in and stood there waiting to be greeted and helped. NOBODY said anything or tried to assist.

Deeply disappointed in two hamburgers for 34.20 that came with nothing else! Granted they were decent burgers but by far not the best burgers I’ve ever had! The prices this place has it’s a wonder they are still in business! I hope they hopdoddy their prices to a reasonable price or add a side of fries at the least for these prices! Definitely not going to spend my money with them again and I always give second and third chances because I used to be in the industry and know things happen!

Where to even start with this place… We walked in with a party of 9 and were seated at a table that comfortably fits maybe 5 people if everyone enjoys eating elbow-to-elbow. Communication from staff was basically nonexistent, so we spent most of the time trying to figure out what was going on ourselves. After we had already paid, we were casually informed that they didn’t actually have the items we ordered in stock. Apparently inventory is more of a suggestion here than a reality. Then the real highlight: we ordered one margarita, and were suddenly refused service because someone supposedly “heard us slurring.” Interesting accusation considering we had barely ordered anything. When we asked for clarification, the manager openly admitted the decision was “personal.” Nothing says professional hospitality like a manager making “personal” decisions about guests. Between the lack of communication, nonexistent inventory, cramped seating for a large party, and a manager with a personal vendetta, this was easily the worst service we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. If you’re looking for confusion, accusations, and a side of attitude with your meal, this is your place. Otherwise, there are plenty of restaurants that actually know how to seat a party and treat paying customers with basic respect. We will absolutely not be back.

The worst take out We ask for the sauce to be on the side some our burgers wont be soggy, but they did not add any sauce at all. Did not add utensils. They gave us half of queso and our avocado is black for our nachos.
