We went through the drive-thru on our way through round rock. We don't have a long John Silver's where we live but remember eating there as a kid. The food was fresh and exactly what I was expecting.

Haven't eaten at this place in YEARS!! The staff, an older lady and young guy around 915pm at drive thru was very nice! She is a really great customer service! I hope they have safe nights and keep treat customers great! They work well together! Food was delicious and great value for serving size! Easy to find and nice area.

There used to be 2 Long John's that were 5 minutes away from either our house, or my parents' house, so it was a regular treat. Now we have to drive 20-30 minutes to get to this location, but I swear it's worth it. Not only is the food always good here, the staff are some of the nicest people we've ever encountered in a fast food restaurant. Over the past couple of years, we've dropped in at various times of the day, and even though the faces behind the counter change, the service is always excellent. I can't think of any other fast food restaurant where the employees always seem happy, and are so polite. So it may be a bit inconvenient, but we'll keep coming to this restaurant.

Sometimes ya just need some fish and fries. These guys provide.

Ok, its not healthy. Sometimes the grease is way too much....but occasionally I have a craving. Today was one of those days. The fish was very good, not too greasy today, the green beans were surprisingly good, and I just flat out like the coleslaw. The lady at the window was very nice and not pushy like happens at too many drive throughs.

Food was served fairly quickly. We got take out and we were going 6 mins up the road. The fries were a little cold and soggy. The chicken and cole slaw were good. I was a little disappointed they no longer have the Hersey pie.

Premise may need to renew and clean up some more. However, food quality remains same and well prepared and served

I love LJS - it was my 1st job and I never tire of it! There are a serious lack of LJS's these days & when I see one I try to go as often as I can while I'm in that area. The food was great! The cashier was a bit abrupt, borderline rude... but it's fast food so I didn't have to be face to face with her long 🤣

I witnessed the manager and cashier being very understanding to an older lady who had been a bit confused. They went above and beyond. I was touched by their patience and compassion. I will be back and I will let my friends know that this business is run by people who have a heart and value our elders in this community! Well done ladies!

What's not to love about Long John Silver's?!? This location is one of two just outside of Austin off of 79. I had no idea it was the only stand-alone LJS's location (per an employee) versus the dual business (A&W/LJS's) in South Austin. The customer service is awesome, as well as the food. It's the perfect hidden gem just north of Austin.

Everything about this place was extraordinary. To begin, the foot was exceptional. The fish was succulent and the chips were crispy. But above all, one factor stood out better than the rest Dayshaun's service was one which rivals even that the most fancy restaurants. Not only did he provide a recommendation when asked, but he even provided us assistance when using our gift card, which was much appreciated. Me and my friends personally think that Dayshaun's charisma and attitude definitely warranted us to return. LOVED IT

Long John Silver's says it all in the title. I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes whether it's dine in or drive through. Like every other restaurant we eat at the fish itself is getting smaller, but the taste and flavor is still there. They're kind, professional, always smiling, and the food is always good. There has been a time or two years that they forgot to put an item in but who can complain about that

This location has been here forever! And I'm so glad to see it still up and doing good. We got to eat around lunchtime and it was all hot and fresh and delicious.

The fish was very good, the chicken tenders were too small and dry. In my opinion, the coleslaw is the best side, in addition to the hushpuppies. The waffle fries are bland, I wish they had not changed them. I've been going to LJS for at least 50 years and I love that the flavor has never changed.

Great experience. Even with a steady stream of customers flowing-in, they were getting orders out almost as fast as you could fill a drink. The food was excellent, everything tasted like it was just made. The staff were friendly and actively working to get trays out of the dining area. There are not many Long John Silver’s locations in the area, but it’s well worth the trip.

This long john silver location is always a great place to have a meal. Food is hot and fresh. They changed to waffle fries which I love. Friendly staff. One thing I would recommend to the owner is, have some honey to put on the hush puppies. It would make them taste so much better.

Compared to the LJS in Temple this one is better cooked food, better staff, and better environment. Please don't modernize this location!

I did not read the reviews before I went to this location. Short version: it's been years since I had crispy, fresh food from Long John Silver's that wasn't overly greasy. It was great. Been over 25 years since I seen this level of quality in the food. Way to go!

We had the 8 piece family and his family and we did chicken planks and fish, with hush puppies we didn't get our crunches that we asked for and the girl that was packing our order had a really nasty attitude, and when she was told that I wanted tartar sauce she reached over and grabbed a whole lot more than I needed and threw it in the bag with attitude. My wife was craving some LJS fish so we drove across town to get her some. This restaurant was pretty busy for a weeknight but mostly to go. We had a nice dinner together and a nice chat. I had the fish and shrimp 🍤 and it was tasty. I love their tangy cocktail sauce and I like to have coleslaw as my side. It is inexpensive by post pandemic standards and worth ringing the 🔔bell on the way out.

Yeah I know it's LJS... and I know I'm one of those that keep this place going... but sometimes you simply crave those tasty hushpuppies, those delicious chicken planks (crap... I just dated myself by calling them "planks" didn't I?), the flaky fish, and those delightful crumbs. The service at this location continues to be be above par for a fast food place post-2020 and it's nice to visit and not be treated rudely. The store, lately, has been clean and welcoming. The food has been fresh. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable.

I hadn't had LJS in probably decades. My kids had never been and I found out my wife hadn't either. So we had to go. Got the chicken and fish platter with some clams and shrimp added. Everything tasted exactly as I remembered. The lady up front was super nice and my 18 month old son did a couple laps in the dining room say hi to customers. I hope the franchisee can put some money into the appearance because it's pretty run done. Besides that it was a good experience.

Wife and I enjoy LJS about once a month. We've been frequenting this location for about the last 4 or 5 months. We were driving up to the location in Killeen and decided to keep it closer to home. We were pleasantly surprised that this location's food preparation was just as good if not better than the Killeen location. Food 4 stars Staff were friendly and helpful most of the time. Other times its been lackluster and monotone and un inspired when speaking. Granted, I get it... but the guest experience whether you want to be at work or not. Should be a priority. Service 3 stars Atmosphere is definitely 80s - 100% this place hasn't been updated since Ronald Reagan was president! Floors need attention, tables as well. Its not that their not wiped off or the floors aren't mopped. Its more like they used the mop to wipe the tables, and left over frier grease to mop the floors. Atmosphere 2 stars Even with the down sides for service and atmosphere. We keep going back because the food is always hot and fresh.

The cod fillets are fantastic, as is the cole slaw. I ordered the shrimp and fish combo meal and upgraded to the cod for $2. The initial employee was having a problem understanding what I was asking, so her coworker politely stepped in to offer the upgrade. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I hadn't been to a LJS in years and was not familiar with their current menu. I have a gluten sensitivity, so I have to watch what I eat. The first cashier we encountered was very unconcerned with my dietary restrictions and impatient when I asked about certain ingredients in the food. A second cashier attempted to take the order but her attitude was as bad as the first. Lastly, a third cashier chimed in and was extremely helpful. (Third time's a charm 😂) We asked her to take over the transition. The original cashier and another coworker went in the back talking very about us to the point the cashier who took over the transition had to excuse herself, go in the back and ask them to stop! I'm super terrible with names. The older black woman (3rd cashier) stepped in to help and was extremely knowledgeable about the ingredients and menu items; turning what started out as an uncomfortable experience to a very pleasant one. Her smile and tone made a huge difference which calmed everyone down. We dined inside. Upon leaving we had the pleasure of speaking with the woman again and the cook. I'm happy to say they have 3 new amazing grilled fish and shrimp menu items. I had the southwest shrimp bowl! Awesome choice and filling. I will go again.....but it will definitely depend on who is working.

Great service however the food was not all there. I went though the drive thru and the person who took my order did an excellent job and was patient with me. I ordered the two piece fish and more. Got fish, hush puppies, and fries. The hush puppies were cold, fries were warm, and the fish was hot but it tasted like it was made in oil that was due for a change. Pass.

The line was long, not a big issue. Part of our order was missing and we were already home in Hutto.

I love long john silvers...the food was great, but the resteraunt definitely needs some tlc. Lots of damage to the interior is not attractive to customers...and means that food safety standards may not be up to par as well.

I love long John's and will always. The food last night wasn't really bad but I had more issues with the atmosphere. Place just seems to be really dirty on the inside and unappealing. You know if the dinning room is not feeling clean you can imagine what the kitchen is probably like. I gave three stars because the people where nice and the the food was ok but I just think this place needs a really deep cleaning.

I used the drive thru, and the waitress was very nice. I ordered the salmon platter with shrimp on rice, green beans, corn and coleslaw. What I got was with 2 pieces of chicken and no coleslaw. The grilled salmon was a bit dry. The corn was super good.

I asked to have my green beans put in a separate bowl. Look at my plate (Don't know how to follow directions). Food: I think ALL restaurants and fast food resturants should cook their food to order. There is no need to cook great amount of food that can or can not be eaten in one day of service. My fries were cold because they have been sitting too long and my fish was very very skinny. Overall: With only two LJS left in Austin, you would think they would take better pride in their service, their cleanness of the store, and especially their food. They have a lot of work to do and I hope they can take this review into consideration. Sorry, but I can't recommend this place.

I went through drive through, simple shrimp meal w/coleslaw & fries + 1 chicken w/fries and a side of coleslaw. Lady repeated my order at the window, should have checked, my $3 side of slaw was missing. Food and service was sub par. I had my fix for the LJ silver seasonings, hope it lasts…won’t be back anytime soon. LJS, I had reached out to LJS customer satisfaction survey as well and have a comment number. I have not been contacted in regards to my visit at this time. Hopefully that team is enthusiastic as your response here. I will update and edit my review accordingly.

This place is a hit or miss. I’ve noticed that the breading on their fish seems to be thicker than it used to be. Our past visit was not so pleasant. The employees were nice but the food all tasted like it was dipped in hot oil in order for it to be served hot definitely not fresh. I’m pretty sure we won’t be back for a very long time or maybe never. If you happen to go, I hope you catch them on a good food day.

I placed a drive thru order here and I it was horrible. I should have checked my bag before leaving because they missed some pricey items that I ordered. The lady at the window didn't seem like she wanted to be at work. When we arrived at home we realized that we didn't get what we paid for. I called to let them know that they screwed our order and they were very rude. They said that they would fix it for us but I just took the loss. I love Long John Silver but I wouldn't recommend going to this location.

The outside of the building is really dirty and not well kept at all. Online they were advertising a special and when I got to the window they told me it was not for their location. That’s completely fine, however, I could tell they have this happen a lot because they seemed to be defensive about it from the start. The food was average. The customer service was average and due to the cleanliness of the restaurant I won’t be back.

I grew up eating this in Oak Cliff,Dallas. So I was excited to drive 35 miles to find it. I was not greeted at all once I reached the window, and my order of a family meal fish only took 20 minutes. I was told by the male at the window that"It will take time to cook all of this fish." I waited patiently for 20 minutes only to get 6 pieces of fish and the rest was chicken placed at the bottom of the box with fish on top. I didn't discover it until I drove back 31 miles to my home. My name is David West, I was in the store on 07/12/2025 at 12:56pm, and was served by Dianne M, who was the RUDEST person i have ever experienced. I was making conversation about not knowing they had a location in Elgin Texas, and her response was " I don't care about other locations, that the location she works in can't keep that place running smooth, so why should she care. Then i asked her if it was cheaper to get a combo, rather than individual pieces, and again, her response was " I don't care what you get" If this person is not reprimanded after this experience, i will take it to Corporate level. I am a business owner, and have thousands of happy customers, that i would never be rude to. I do not Tolerate behaviour like that from anyone. She doesn't belong in customer service. This location is owned by someone who has given up. From the outside, it looks abandoned. The only signs of life, the cars in the parking lot. Inside, the floors are greasy and slick. The restroom was filthy - not in a we were busy kind of way but rather in a we've forgotten that room was there sort of way. The male who approached the register was rude. He failed any greeting - just walked up and stared at me. While I used my please and thank you's, common decency escaped him. Just really disappointing all around.

This is how I picture purgatory to be. The food was almost decent but the experience of everything else ruins it. The customers and the workers all looked miserable. The building had permanent grime on everything. A lot of sticky and wet surfaces. The have cardboard menu signage, most places today have digital. How odd. I went to use the rest room after eating, and almost puked due to the smell of the rest room (it smelled of fish and feces). I will never eat at another long John's silver again, as I can still smell the bathroom (it haunts me).

Just order through doordash since we at work. We did not receive the sweet tea, no forks, spoon or napkins but we got the straw. Also salmon was dry and overcooked terrible terrible service.

me and my fiancé went here to get the new lobster bites but it turned out to be shrimp, removed the coating from the bites they were all shrimp not even one piece lobster, then after we show them, they said no they are lobster. It’s like we never had lobster or shrimp, they fooling people, and they said we’re not gonna refund because you had majority of them, yeah because we trusted you though it is lobster then figured out it doesn’t taste like lobster at all and we put the rest in trash, and none of them even upset or a shame and never said sorry, worst customer service ever, we will not come back here.

I have already contacted corporate and the Regional manager got back to me, asking for a receipt to confirm location and time unfortunately husband said the receipt was long gone and in the trash. I never went to complain because I know how the fast food industry is Stress full it is already. Got fish and chicken. One of the pieces was fairly raw, which is why I’m making this post to make others aware, and the rest of my chicken looked as the grease hadn’t been cleaned out with the specs on my food. Just wanted to make everyone aware and be careful what you are eating here.

I ordered 8 pieces of fish and they put chicken kin there. Shame on you guys. I went to the RR location from Pflugerville. I don't eat chicken $30 in the trash.
