We went for a birthday. Food was 5 out of 5, when we finally got it. Service was terrible, not rude, just forgot our group entirely. Took over 15 mins to get water and well over an hour to get food started (they still had to cook it). VERY noisy, unless you are sitting directly next to the person you want to speak with, conversation isn't happening. Recommend you check it out. I'd go back for a date night. But not a family or group.

It was very hot by the hibachi grills, but it kind of can't be helped since they leave the grills on the whole time. Might not go back in the summer. The food was really good but the chef didn't do any of the usual tricks with the flames or the onion like you normally get. Chef was nice, didn't have to wait too long for the food and the sides were good. The grill was kinda dirty though. The chef kept wiping the oil on his spatula between a rag sitting on the wooden ledge of the grill. You could tell from looking that probably every one who's cooked at that grill does it in the exact same spot. Food was still good but it was a little off putting to see so much grime. The bathroom also needed a clean. It was well stocked and had a changing table (in the women's) but there was trash on the floor and the counters were wet. I also ordered a cocktail and it was good but barely any alcohol in it for $9. Spent $230 (before tip) for 7 people so not super expensive. Overall, not great, but not bad. I'd probably go again when it's not so hot anymore. I'm still thinking about that bacon fried rice.

Great place. Little strong on the garlic powered which is fine except on the chicken gave a powder/chalky taste on some pieces. Bacon fried rice is okay. Idk if I would get bacon in it next time. Cook was awesome. Waitress kept disappearing. Had to flag another one down to get my water refilled multiple times. Spicy sauce delicious

Been a fan of this place for years. I get that everyday cant be a show, but I was very underwhelmed at the quiet cook. Soup and salad was to salty to enjoy. Major points lost on well done steak that I asked to be cooked medium. All 3 of us asked for medium/medium well, we all received well done. Yes we could have mentioned it while there, but we waited a good while for a cook and was too tired to ask for what we wanted.

We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had a large crowd. I would not recommend coming with a large party. Tokyo service is much better with smaller parties like 4 or less. Our cook was amazing. Our waitress seemed a bit irritated from the start.

The bacon fried rice was fantastic and my wifes shrimp and filet mignon was good. I ordered the new York strip steak and it was the toughest I have ever had. There were two pieces that I had to spit out because I could not physically separate with my teeth. The cooking surfaces were disgusting. They had burnt on black tar on the grill that they were mixing into every food they cooked. A very similar black, hard, moldy goo that was caked onto the wood handrails attached to the grill. There were gross black towels on the ground and in a cubby under the grease trap, which was full of old food. We were there 30 minutes after they opened so it is definitely food from a previous day. I will never come back and am questioning who did their health inspection.

I placed a to go order and a young lady by the name of MIA took my order she input the wrong item and when I got home and realized I had the wrong item I called Tokyo steakhouse. When I called MIA answered the phone and she was completely unprofessional and rude. She rushed me off the phone and told me I should have checked my order before leaving that is policy. She also said I can talk to her manager. She would not just admit she made a mistake on my order. It was so weird. The manager did get on the phone and he tried to play it neutral “but said his employee did nothing wrong” and he made me feel like I never want to return to this restaurant. He reinstated what MIA said, and I should’ve checked my order, but I feel like he could have told her to always be professional in this business, but he did not. I was calm and just wanted to let them know that my order was incorrect. I have been coming to this restaurant since the day they opened and I will not be back. I feel like certain people are just not appreciated nor their hard earned money. 🚨 BUYER BEWARE!!! This is my comment to everyone before you leave Tokyo steakhouse in Natomas Sacramento check your order thoroughly before you leave because if you get the wrong order And MIA takes that order, she will take no accountability that she made a mistake nor will their managers. BTW, I ordered spicy chicken and she inputs spicy wings. Her fault.

I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment due to serious sanitary concerns. Upon entering, there was an unpleasant odor reminiscent of bugs, possibly cockroaches. I ordered hot tea, but it arrived lukewarm in a cup that had visible grease inside. The udon was served in a similarly unclean bowl without a spoon, and after a delay, the spoon I eventually received was also dirty, bearing greasy fingerprints. When I raised these issues with the manager, she insisted everything was clean, despite photographic evidence of the dirty cup. To top it off, I was still charged for the potstickers. This experience left me questioning the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the place.

Update: I used to love this place, we went yesterday and it smelled horrible inside, and everything was extremely dirty. Our plates were covered in grease when we sat down. We ordered and the chef came out, didn't perform or do anything special. As soon as he was done he dumped dirty water on the stove to clean and it ruined my food, all I could taste/smell was dirty water from all the steam that was produced. Our rice was burnt and tasted dirty. Not even 5 minutes after he cleaned they brought our check and handed us our boxes, seemed like we were being forced to leave. We all still had full plates of food and had to sit with the boxes on our laps. Like I said, this place used to be a gem but I will not be going back nor do I reccomend after yesterday's experience.
