Came by about 4:30 on 6/25. First time customer. Large steak tips came with a salad and subbed broccoli for the BP. Perfectly cooked steak, super flavorful. Sides were very tasty as well. Got a free tea. Guy working at the window was cool and helpful. 👍👍
I have eaten plenty of food from Steak Express. I would recommend everything on the menu. The drivers are quick and polite. If they happen to be running late, I have received calls and been apologized to profusely if there is ever an error. This place is great!

We got the Valantines special and it was all made perfect...said it would take about an hour and half for delivery but they delivered less than an hour...which was awsum...and the guy who took our order was so nice and sweet...delivery guy was very nice also...Thank u SE :)

We are rodeo contestants in town for SAN ANGELO STOCK SHOW. Walked in made a pickup order. Staff was SUPERRR! FOOD SPOT ON YUMMMMM. PERFECT tender steak tips. ♡♡♡ Hamburger Steak and all fixins in fridge for tomorrow!!!
Everything was wonderful except they left one of the items out of bag. First time they've ever made a mistake! We don't live very close to them.

Ate there today. Got the lunch special for 2 (Sirloin Tips) $21.and some change. Couldn’t beat the price and it was very good. Will be eating there again!
Extremely pleased with the service, Was put on hold for a minute before ordering but the order taking lady was super sweet and made up for it. My orders are usually complicated but they are always patient. The burgers are amazing and always hot when they get to you. The sweet tea is awesome and the delivery guy is sweet and helpful. Prices aren't bad and delivery charge is only $1.99. Oh and if you prefer to pick up your order it will be ready in 15 minutes AND you get a free sweet tea. It's just awesome overall.
Food is always flavorful. Delivery said 45 min to an hour. It was 35 min exactly and the tips are are cooked to perfection and the tenderest steak I've had in a long time...anywhere. There WAS a mixup on the order and a potato was left off of the order which was delivered within 10 min and they threw in a couple of cookies. They just keep getting better!
Came in Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy. Gentlemen working the counter was friendly and provided excellent service. Food came out in 10 minutes. Good food, great service, will be back.
Now THIS place is amazing. Steak burger is so mouth watering and melt in your mouth. I mean, how can you go wrong with an entire ribeye cooked to perfection? Every time I got to Angelo, we stop here. Sweet tea is on point and service is always friendly. I can't say enough great things about this place. ❤️
I had the ribeye and shrimp with baked potatoe and a not so garden salad as all it had in the salad was lettuce oh and let’s not forget about the gallon of sweet tea which hit the spot . I had it delivered to my hotel which was very convenient. I will say that the steak and shrimp was fabulous. It is a bit on the pricey side if you get it delivered but all in all I can complain

Steak Express killed it! We ordered Sirloin Tips for two, and got the tastiest steak we've had in San Angelo. In under 40 minutes, they delivered a salad, a hot, perfectly cooked and seasoned steak, huge baked potato, and rolls right to our house. The cost: under $32.00. This was our first time ordering from them, and we will definitely order again and again!
Awesome service, 30 minute delivery(Friday night!!) Food was amazing!!! We spent $70 and it was worth every penny!!! So much food!!!!!!! They gave us plenty of sauces and butter on the side. Cheesecake slices were huge!! Such an easy transaction. Will definitely recommend!! 5 Stars *****
Recently moved to Texas. First time trying this restaurant. Ordered around lunchtime on the app. Showed up 25 minutes later as instructed and my food was ready. I had the steak tips with a plain baked potato. For under $10, my meal was great. I plan to go back soon.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Wait time was only about 10 minutes and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of delicious food you get. I haven't found anything on the menu that I don't like. Everything is always seasoned well and cooked exactly how I want it.

Had the Hamburger Steak lunch special. Good flavor but a lil dry... Honey Butter Rolls are very good n fresh. Broccoli n Potato were perfect. Happy to see Real Bacon Bits! Sweet tea was just sweet enough, like I like it! Overall a Texas Good meal! I'll be back often!

Great food with fast service! Can't beat the lunch special/early bird prices and the seasonal banana cream pie should be permanently added to the menu! No restaurant style seating available. This place is order and go only with delivery or pick up options available. They also have an app to make ordering ahead simpler, but app had crashed several times so I wouldn't say it's currently a solid ordering option.
LOVE the burgers & the Tea.... Be aware, the food is just as pricey as a sit-down restaurant would be (it is good though) but this is delivered to your door when you’d rather be at home- so it’s a win!

Food is always perfectly prepared and tastes amazing, my only issue is there have been a few times that I ordered and paid for sweet tea and it didn't get delivered with the rest of the food. Otherwise, it's a great place to eat, highly recommend
I have no issue with the food at the location in San Angelo BUT for over a YEAR now I have mentioned that when I try to pay for my food with Credit Card or Debit Card on the order page it won’t work. My husband has also tried multiple times with multiple Cards with no luck. On the other hand when we call in our order and use the same Credit Cards they work just fine. Something is wrong with the site when we try to pay. If it doesn’t get fixed I will just go somewhere else as I have already done multiple times just so I don’t have to deal with it.

The take out special ribeye was very small and had way to much gristle. We will not be ordering that again.
So on 1/2 price cheeseburger day why wouldn't u get the chips and drink with it?? You are paying half price from the normal price which it includes all 3 items. So where are my chips/drink steak express?? When asked why she just said that's the way it is. They just lost a decent customer.
Not sure if it's what we ordered or what but the 3 stars is because the food wasn't that great. We got a burger and spicy chicken tenders, picked up our order. The chicken is hard to explain, not chewy, just kind of dense if I had to pick a word. The burger wasn't too bad, but nothing exciting enough to get again. Now the staff was just amazing, great people with great attitudes. They definitely would keep me coming back if the was something to go back for.
There’s is packaging for the packaging. I ordered a burger and added grilled onions and mushrooms. The ended up giving me two separate serving of onions and mushrooms that I couldn’t finish by myself if I wanted too. I like Steak Express and my food was good. I give them three stars because the company as a whole needs to take serious look at all the waste they create with packages for every item. It’s hard to justify two burgers, two sweet teas, chips, two cookies, and a baked potato for roughly $30 when you know at least 33% is paying for all the materials to bag the food.
Put my order in for a steak and was told after and not up front it would be 20 minutes. That’s not express in my opinion. (Disclaimer) the steak took about 11 minutes which I think is (express). Things like that should be told up front to the customer. Price was fair for the food. But I have to knock them on how I wanted the steak. Asked medium and got well done. Steak wasn’t bad for well done but it could be better for the way I wanted it. My suggestion would be to study your cook time and disclose the more accurate time results you get on average with customers. Staff was friendly and appeared to be doing their job as directed.

The steak had great flavor, but had lots if fat and it looked gross. I hope it's not like this all the time. Probably won't be eating here again though.

Thought we'd pick up so it'd be quicker, boy were we wrong! Took almost an hour then we were asked if we wanted a couple of free teas since we waited so long, they're card says free tea with every pickup order we should have gotten a gal they're foods pretty good but I don't think it's worth that long of a wait
My wife ordered steak bites to pick up as she was told they were the best. When she got home and tried to eat them, they were so tough she just threw them in the trash. This is the second time we have received poor quality of meat from here and probably won’t be back. I did call the manager and she apologized and offered a discount next time. I told her to improve the meat selection and we might come back
I ordered steak and baked potato to be delivered. I waited an hour and the food was cold and awful. Steak was very thin and mostly gristle and fat and the potato was old and discolored. I called them and was told they would not correct anything. VERY disappointing and I would never order from them again. After talking to friends they had the same problem, so save your money and stay away from this terrible place!
After seeing there menu and some reviews I wanted to see what all the hype was about this place. Ordered the Pick up Deal, baked potato was really good, Salad comes in a small size, dinner roll was ok, ribeye steak looked good, had great seasoning; but when I started carving into it; it had a lot of hard tissue and was very fibrous and flavorless in one area. While ordering and waiting for my order there was a foul odor of sewage pipe. I would recommend for the manager to take a look into this. Sorry to say it will be my last time in this place as I had better steak plus a lot more at golden corral the night b4 at a reasonable cost.
Food was a little above ok. I've had better steak express. The service was horrible. Rude and ignoring me like I wasn't there. I have a work truck so I can't go through the drive thru. I walked up to the window and the guy said to call in order. I walk back to my truck to call it in and they said they are closed. Thankfully when I said I just left the window he let me order. It was just overall unprofessional to be rude and ignore me. I'm not asking for royalty treatment but treat me like a human being and a customer who is helping out the business

The steak was nothing but rubbery gristle & the salad looked like it had sat out in the sun for 3 days! This is not the first or second time I’ve received horrible food from them, but it will be the last! I took a breath from them for at least a year, so this is NOT an isolated issue. Don’t bother ordering from these clowns, as this has been an ongoing issue for at least 2 years.
We used to love going here but something changed. Now they serve cold burgers and rotten corndogs. The owner doesn’t care to hear complaints. He is defensive before ever validating grievances. He will just tell you to call the health department and doesn’t even apologize. He ranks right up there with people who should be banned from the food business. How can you get food within 15 of minutes of calling in the order, drive 5 miles home and it’s cold? What about the rotten meat inside the corndogs, notice the picture? The manager apologized and refunded our money which is fine but the owner that emailed me back is above reproach. We reported them to the health department and told their food supplier. We will not go back.

Ordered a T-bone medium and a large Ribeye medium-rare. They delivered two well done steaks.
I've always had good experiences here but tonight my order came with bloody meat I ordered well done no dressing for the salad and no forks I called and told them and the manager said if I want a replacement I need to go dig the steak out of my trash can to prove its bloody and I'm pregnant so I'm not dealing with all that blood and trash

Ordered a medium rib eye steak, it was worse steak I’ve ever eaten, not juicy, was very tough, gave it to my dog , he enjoyed it! The only that was good was the baked potato! Lesson learned
Very disappointed. Placed an order for delivery an hour and 15 mins. ahead of time ... Needed it there at 11.50am and was assured it will be there before then. Even gave the driver a good tip. 30min.later and still hasn't arrived. Lost another customer 😡
These sorry individuals took my order and then called back saying they won't deliver on my side of town even though they had before.. Very rude and inconsiderate people. Which I guess it's fine since the food isn't great.

Steak express should be very ashamed of the products they are feeding people. I honestly wonder if they aren't engineering their meat instead of using cows. They have the worst steak I've EVER eaten!
I have ordered from them before, good food and service most the time. This last experience was terrible. Ordered for delivery and didn't even get a call until 20 mins after the estimated time. Not that big of a deal until I gave directions on how to get to my location and sent location on Google maps. 40 mins later got a phone call if I could meet somewhere. I ordered delivery so I wouldn't have to go anywhere. Gave them more specific instructions on the phone and they couldn't even follow them. Which the instructions were to go straight on the road from their location keeping the lake on their left, and I will be flashing my lights. Never saw the vehicle. Flashed my lights hoping they would see it anyway and then called to see where they were. Had to transfer over to another call which was the manager who asked, also, if I could go meet their driver. I am paying for a delivery, hence delivery fees. Paying for cold food, hour after estimated 55min, and inconvenience of delivery plus fees that I would have to pick up is poor service. No other deliveries here has had any issue or been that late.
This was my first time coming to a steak express. I was very excited about trying this place out. I ordered my husband and I’s food online. We got an email confirmation saying it would be 25 mins. When we arrived 25 mins later the lobby was closed. Only drive thru. I do not like this because they were cars in front of us and the line was not moving. We finally get to the window and she said it would be another 10 mins.. after we waited another 10 mins we got back into the line. More cars were in front of us so we waited for another 20 mins. After waiting a total of an hour, we finally made it to the window. She went and got our food. She forgot our tea so I had to remind her we needed one. When we got home, we found that they forgot our peach cobbler... it wasn’t even worth it at that point to go back. The food was good, my experience horrible. Will be avoiding this place!
I ordered food online, it said my order would be delivered in 55 minutes, I was ok with that. But after waiting 83 minutes… I called the store that is within 1/2 a mile from my location, and the store manager said my driver had to make a delivery out by the lake (20 minutes away) and then bring me my order, this of course was blamed on a driver not showing up for work. I don’t understand why my order wasn’t delivered first being as literally around the corner from them. After finally getting my food, the food was cold like it had been sitting in a cooler
We have eaten here many of times and have never been disappointed until today. We did an online order and were told it would take 55 minutes to get our food. After 1 1/2 hours my wife called to figure out where our food was. They told her they were extremely busy and the driver had to drop off 6 orders ahead of ours. They then said they would call the driver to see where he was at. Just so happens that this was when the driver walked up to my door to deliver the food. This was about an hour and 40 minutes after we ordered the food and 45 minutes after we were told we would have our food. I told the driver that he can expect a phone call from his boss looking for him and he immediately got an attitude stating they were busy. I said it's been almost 2 hours since we ordered the food. His attitude came out more and said it's bare over an hour, so I don't know what to tell you. So I told him a few choice words I will not and can't say on here. Now yes we got our food but it was luke warm at most, even though we were told it would still be hot. We were still on the phone with steak express and finally got to the actual manager. We explain the our situation, even what I said (not to hide my actions) and even though he generally seem sympathetic I still don't believe the managed will do anything. I'm not looking for any freebies or handouts, but a little compensation for the delivery time screw up, poor customer service by the delivery driver and cold food, would have been nice. I will not go back. They lost my service.
I've never encountered a more disrespectful and unprofessional manager in my life. I called to place a family order, making it clear that my daughter and I have severe allergies to tomatoes and lettuce. I asked if it was possible to skip the pre-packaged condiments on our burger and instead get a side of pickles. The employee consulted their manager, who flatly refused. I then requested to speak directly to the manager, explaining our food allergy and asking if we could have pickles separately to avoid cross-contamination. Shockingly, he replied, "No, we don't have a button to charge for that." I was in disbelief. I mentioned that this location had accommodated us before, to which he replied that now he had to report it because it's against their policy. When I asked if it was due to being busy, he said no. Then asked why was he so angry about the situation. He stated bc I already told my employee no and that wasn't enough for you now you want to talk to me. I said it's just a small cup literally 6/8 pickles. He then said in a condescending voice I know you're doing this just for pickles." I reiterated that it was due to allergies, and asked for his general manager's contact information, but he refused, stating why so I could twisting the story up to make him look bad. Frustrated and feeling unsafe about my food preparation, I asked if he wanted my business, to which he indifferently replied, "Honestly, I don't care; it's up to you." While I initially enjoyed the food, at this location. I won't return due to management issues. To the general manager, I have a recording of the incident. My daughter later called to inquire about the manager's name, which was provided as "Zach."
Order dinner online. I said that I wanted the tips to be mid rare. When I received them , they were Well done. I called and they replaced them and again well done. Talked to Zach, who said he was the manager. And I told him that again they are over cooked. He told me, no they weren't and that they will come pick them up and refund my money. I do not know what happened to customer service, where the manager does not care about the customer. To Zach. Remember, how you treat people will come back to you. And I will pray that you are done, one better than you did for me. I will share these pictures with every platform have. And I have quite a few of them. Thank you for your hospitality.
Ok. I've eaten the food from here before (so so) my problem customer service. I ordered a meal on 2/6/21. I did the payment over the phone, then they said it would be a 1 hour wait. I said cancel it. Still waiting to be refunded. They sure are quick to take your money and slow to give it back. Still waiting on the remittance. Update: The Manager's response does not seem genuine. He never took my call when asked to talk about it. Nor did he do any follow up. Steak Express is a joke. Do not use them.
I was visiting from Lubbock. My mother in law and wife placed an online order and my father in law and I went to pick it up. When we arrived it wasn’t ready but we were a bit early. They gave us two drinks when we had ordered 4 plus a kids drink and told us to drive around and get back in line. We got back in line and waited for another 10-15 minutes. When we arrived back at the window they told us it still wasn’t ready and to drive around again. By this time we were past our pickup time and had been there for close to 20 minutes. We told them they had also forgotten our other drinks and received them at that point. My father in law didn’t want to drive around again because there were a number of cars behind us and he didn’t want to wait another 20 or 30 minutes to get our meal if it would be done sooner than that. They finally sent some guy to the window to tell us it wasn’t ready and to ask us to go park by the front door and they would bring it out to us. So we go to the front door with our drinks and wait for another 20 minutes or more and they never bring our food out. All the cars that were behind us received their food and left. We waited about 5 minutes or so after the last car had gone and when they still didn’t bring out our food we went back into the line. The food was sitting on a shelf at this point for who knows how long. When my father in law expressed his displeasure at all of this the guy at the window popped off and said, “This isn’t fast food sir. We got a lot of online orders.” Clearly. Clearly they aren’t fast food. As far as online orders that is why they put a time frame in the email when you make the online order, correct? So with that exceptional customer service and amazing staffing and operational juggling of a busy time with a lot of incoming orders and after having waited for over an hour we went home with cold food and completely watered down drinks. This was the worst experience I have EVER had with a Steak Express. I even sent in a message to the manager which was ignored.
Worst food ever. Ordered steak tips were tough with no au jus. Paid for loaded baked potato didn’t get any of the butter, sour cream, bacon, or cheese. The salad was wilted. Also ordered Philly cheese it was so awful. Tasted horrible not fully cooked. Won’t be going back.
If I could rate zero stars I would! Save your money and go else where! First time to have steak express and so underwhelmed by the food and location. Orders two burgers, a kids corn dog and a gallon of peach tea. Picked up order. Location had a funky smell inside(not in a good way). People inside not friendly. Food: one burger had a pink tint, both tasted like school cafeteria food. Gallon of tea warm but cookie in kids meal cold. Baked potato not cooked all the way. Kids corn dogs were just mush. 100% will not go back. 100% will not recommend. 100% will spread word.
Save your money and don’t waste it on poor quality food and a very rude and unprofessional assistant manager named joe. We used to order from here rather frequently but in the last year the food and service has been extremely disappointing. First of all the medium-rare steak tips we previously ordered were as tough as well-done but I couldn’t believe they admitted over the phone to using lesser quality meat now, plus they forgot our rolls and baked potato condiments. The next time we just ordered burgers instead which were tough, dry and bland plus the veggie pack opened up and covered EVERYTHING in pickle and tomato juice and they forgot our condiments again. We used to place large orders here twice a month and now after only ordering twice in 8 months, we decided to try one last time just for some of their delicious yeast rolls and honey butter. The rolls had no flavor and fell apart into crumbs and they don’t offer honey butter anymore but the worst part was the assistant manager being rude and unprofessional about it all; then when I mentioned my disability he responded angrily, using vulgar language then hung up the phone on me so we drove there to return the food and he refused to refund then threatened to close the window if I wouldn’t shut up and leave. Atleast the store manager was polite and professional plus refunded the money but the general manager doesn’t allow employees to give customers a way to reach him. We will not waste our money here anymore. Whataburger would’ve been better and much less expensive.
The burgers were burnt, the pickles weren't crisp and crunchy. More like soft and mushy. They forgot one of the loaded baked potatoes. But they didn't forget the condiments. So I had double the condiments for one spud. The lettuce that comes with it was the smallest leafs I've seen. Couldn't even cover the burger. The red onions looked like they might have been fresh. But I do t eat them so it didn't help this review. The only thing that wasn't bad was the delivery driver. My house is usually hard to find and he was quick with no problems
Very disappointed. I ordered the chicken breast and asked for mushroom and onions to be added. I also ordered cheeseburger and a cheesecake. When our order arrived my son paid for it. I looked the order and all I had was the above. I did not get my bake potato or salad. When I called the lady said the guy put it in as I substituted those things for onions and mushrooms. Why would I do that? They need to understand how to take food orders and not speculate and clarify. Something so simple could have been avoided and I could have had my potatoes and salad.
Order a steak burger thinking it would be chopped steak. No description on the menu or maybe I should’ve ask. I ended up getting the most chewiest ribeye sandwich, burger or whatever they call it. Which at first I was ok with eating it However it ended up being straight up gross never going back! An $18 chewy ribeye between two buns with chips not at all worth it.
We ordered 2 Ribeyes for dinner. I waited an extra 15 minutes after the the original pick up time. The steaks were cold, improperly cooked and 95% of the steaks were gristle. The only reasonable part of the meal was the salad. Very disappointed! Way too expensive for the poor quality of the food.

Yesterday I ordered a medium ribeye. Was told that was 10 oz. I'm on a strict low carb high fat diet and I weigh most of my food. My steak weighed 7lbs, which is the small ribeye not medium. Honest mistake?? If I ever order again I'll be sure to bring my scale!
So we had a customer buy lunch for the whole crew at goodyear. The delivery driver asked for the customer that had purchased thr food. I advised him the customer that purchased the food was not there. And my manager would have to sign for it. He rudely said that he needed the customer that purchased the food to sign . Told him again he wasn't there. .. then the driver has the nerve to ask for a tip. Nope. Not out say on that. Driver said . Well I need to go I have other deliveries to do. They are waiting for me .. I called my manager and asked how far away he was. After finding out I told the driver and he walked out. Then came back in and said. Go ahead a sign it. . Told him no. I can't sign it . Has to be the manager. So he walked out again. What a pissy attitude he had.. if he don't like his job then he can quit and do something else.
I called and placed an order for delivery. I ordered the dinner for 2, steak medium rare even told the guy make sure it’s “mooing” with loaded baked potatoes. Our steak is tough as jerky, some pieces so tough you can’t even chew it. Our potatoes are under cooked, with no sour cream. I also ordered a side of “jumbo” shrimp and laughed when I opened the foil to see 6 little shrimp that taste bland, no seasoning whatsoever. Really disappointed in the quality. A few nights ago we ordered the steak and potato and it was cooked perfectly. This time sucked. I feel like I just wasted $72 on a trailer park steak dinner. Oh BTW the burger was ok. And the delivery girl was super sweet!
This is by far the worst steak I've had in a long time, and it wasn't just mine, my whole family had steak that was tough as a boot. The steak was not over cooked it was pinkish red center, just bad meet. Steak Express at one time was pretty good but due to the last visit I will no longer be wasting over 100.00 dollars of my hard earned money on food I can't even chew. Save your money people. ......oh and the gallon of tea was soured 😡

The young lady I spoke with took my order, gave me the total, and assured me it would arrive in an hour. By 9 o'clock, there was still no sign of the food. When I tried to call them back, I discovered they close at 9 PM. This leads me to believe she had no intention of actually delivering the order. We waited for them, and since we don't have a vehicle, it was impossible to get food elsewhere at that late hour. I'm really disappointed.
I ordered a double cheeseburger 🍔, a regular cheeseburger and a Philly cheese sandwich. The food was cold the bread was soggy with pink juice and the Philly cheesesteak was so salty it went directly into the trash after the first bite.my wife called and spoke to mgr. who said he apologized for not giving us the cold packs . Lettuce pickles and tomatoes. And then said all he could do was give us a discount on our next order! After my wife explained to him that it was nothing to do with the cold packs and that we were just trying to tell them that it was inedible. The manager then said that he made the food himself and that he didn’t add too much salt!

When I called, the manager (Kaleb) was extremely rude when I asked if someone could bring the missing items. He stated that there was no one available to bring them and that he could offer a 15% discount on our next order. I advised him that we didn't receive what the company had paid for and that we'd like to have it. He told me that I was causing him to burn someone else's food, because he was having to talk to me. He then put another manager on the phone. (Ryan) He was very rude, as well as loud. I asked to speak with someone above him and he stated that (Casonya) would tell me the same thing and that is that there's nothing they could do about it. I asked him if she was the owner and he stated that Bob and Juan were the owners, but they have no last names or contact info for them. I really thought that they'd appreciate knowing how rude their staff had been in order to improve customer service. I've never been spoken to with such disrespect when dealing with an establishment before. The delivery man was finally sent back out 45 minutes later with the rest of our order with 5 minutes of our meeting remaining. Needless to say the whole situation was an inconvenience, not to mention stressful when you have planned a lunch meeting and your being spoken to so rudely and with such lack of concern. The food was not bad at all, but the customer service was such that we will not consider Steak Express in the future.
Food was late but delicious, cook was behind schedule but nobody was there and he took 3 breaks in the 20 mins plus that I waited fir my order
Worst customer service ever, every employee is rude there, they have messed up on my food twice and when I told the manager he acted like he didn’t care, second time it was a lady and she acted the same way!!
