The first sign this was a good place was they were playing old Taylor Swift deep cuts. It’s inside a hotel, with less tasteful decor, and while the decor in anacocho was still a little heavy handed (the animals scared me) it was a really elevated atmosphere for the price. The restaurant was small with few full tables (mostly café style) but we had no wait at all. Essentially the whole experience felt a lot more expensive and exclusive than it was. The food is an extremely good value and the portions are large. The fried chicken sandwich was really good, maybe a little too much sauce, but the ingredients tasted fresh. My parents cannot eat gluten and they got the chicken sandwich roasted on a gluten free bun — if you ask they will accommodate by using a seperate frying oil, even for the fries (kind of shoestring and really nice). Then the barbacoa tacos were incredible with a very complex flavor. The food menu is small but it seems that they chose quality over quantity because every dish seems very thought through, and it’s made up for by the extensive drink menu. The coffee is normal prices, the cocktails are pretty expensive (some more than the meals!) and the one we had was not my favorite , the green grasshopper which was too creamy and sweet for me. It was like a thin mint and not complex enough to justify the price for me. But I would 100% return next time I’m in town to try some of the other drinks which sounded a bit more sophisticated. Lastly the server was very friendly and attentive.
The intention was to grab appetizers and drinks but everything looked and sounded amazing we ordered everything and it was worth it! They follow gluten free sensitivities/allergies. The drinks were classy and smooth. The Mexican street corn is divine! The smacked cucumbers were a refreshing, bite! And the pork belly and big red & barbacoa tacos are a must try! Needless to say, we were full but happy! Worth every penny and worth every bite!
Tried this place out and was not disappointed. First of all the interior is absolutely gorgeous! I could spend hours here, it’s such a vibe! The drinks were amazing, I brought my 2 year old and she enjoyed a tasty mocktail as well. I highly recommend trying the grilled corn, it was delicious. Service is fast and great, you can tell they pay attention to detail. I will definitely be back.
What Unbelievable Attention to Detail!!! I stumbled across Anacacho today and was just absolutely floored! Everything from floor to ceiling is a treat for the eyes: The pillows, mural, walls, wood work are all a total delight. I had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season here, and it was wonderful, creamy, and not too sweet. This is definitely a tourist spot, so expect tourist prices, but the vibe is comforting contemporary country, with a wink and a nod to the pace and quality of the old Texas west. Highly recommend
At the new Anacacho Coffee and Cantina at the Saint Anthony Hotel in downtown San Antonio for lunch. The restaurant was inspired by West Texas’ Anacacho Ranch and was designed by interior designer Kim Wolfe who is a HGTV host and “Survivor” Season 24 Winner. The executive chef, Leo DaVila, is a James Beard Semifinalist and the former owner of Stix and Stones before it closed, a family favorite of ours. We absolutely loved the french fries and our chicken sandwich and burger were also fantastic. Fun vibe and great service for this new restaurant.
Coffee tasted lovely (cortado). Super friendly staff. Loved the ambiance. Food was tasty, got it to go. It’s tucked inside a hotel but still easy to find. Beautiful furniture too. Seemed like a great selection on the menu. Next time I will make sure to sit in and enjoy the atmosphere more ! Highly recommend
By far, my new favorite restaurant in San Antonio. The food is fantastic! The flavors are so refreshingly unique and keep you wanting more. The atmosphere is really cozy and well designed. They just opened so you won’t see lots of reviews or may have not heard of them, but check them out! Be sure to ask for Scott, he was the best. Couldn’t recommend them enough. I’ll be back for sure!
Anacacho is a classy yet relaxed spot tucked inside the St. Anthony Hotel, offering an atmosphere that feels both timeless and intimate. The bartenders are not only attentive but genuinely passionate—one even offered me a taste of a local Texas whiskey, Lineage, which was surprisingly smooth and well-balanced. The food impressed too, with elevated flavors that match the elegant setting without being overdone. Whether you’re unwinding with a crafted cocktail or enjoying a quiet bite, Anacacho delivers a refined experience with a warm Texas touch.
Get the Big Red Barbacoa tacos!!! Each bite is super juicy and delicious. Shout out to Chef Leo for this amazing dish. The street corn is very yummy.
We followed Chef Leo from Stix & Stones to here. The gluten free options were absolutely incredible, we’re so excited to see what’s been done and all that’s coming! 10/10 recommend.
Apologies to the chef for not finishing my food. I enjoyed everything I ate including the sweet and spicy taste of the burger. The staff were all nice and friendly.
One of the baristas gave me a free coffee and they helped me charged my phone one time..Wait did I kind of accuse them of stealing my bus fair;) Were they nicer than I made them appear! Was I kind of confused somewhat about only them! Could I want to have my wedding here if it was well outside🌌
First I want to recognize all of the bartenders Miranda, Jorge, Scott, Hillary, Lindsey, Jelena, Andrea and Jessel. They are absolutely great. Their attitude friendliness and attention to detail makes all the difference. From the moment you enter the bar they make you feel so welcome. They will not steer you wrong when it comes to food. The food is amazing just like the service!! You will not regret the visit!!!
Great little spot. Make sure to order the Bao Bun Flight or Wok Fried Lo Mein. The menu is small but everything is delicious!

Kim Wolfe has done it again! Amazing design, beautiful atmosphere, and impeccable service! Hillary was attentive and so friendly and Jorge made the literal best spicy margarita I’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back. So proud of this new San Antonio landmark!
Cute breakfast spot located right next to The St. Anthony Hotel. Breakfast was delicious long with the coffee.
My husband enjoyed gluten free French toast and I enjoyed a gluten free blueberry muffin. Both the best we ever had! The atmosphere, service and food is unbeatable!

Had an amazing experience here yesterday. Service from Banks was absolutely phenomenal. You’d think this is a bar and you get a drink, but every now and then you meet a good human being doing good things while working. Banks seemed like that person. Standout experience and will be back!
Just off the St. Anthony Hotel's lobby, Anacacho offers a myriad of coffee, espresso drinks, and libations. The food fare is a fusion of Southern fried and Asian spice. I recommend the fried chicken sandwich and the skewer small plate. The aesthetic is Texas meets an upscale Red Dead Redemption (#iykyk). Service is friendly, helpful and engaged without being intrusive. Ask for Alexis, she's great! I highly recommend this Downtown gem. Cheers!
This was our first time visiting. This spot used to be the Ghost Bar of the hotel, but after the remodeling, it transformed into a Texas-themed cowboy bar. I really appreciated that they preserved and repurposed some of the hotel’s original decor, especially the large mirrors, which add a nice touch of elegance to the Western vibe. The music and overall ambiance were spot on. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The food was okay. We went during lunch, so perhaps the dinner menu is more flavorful and refined. We ordered the burger and the house salad; both were decent but nothing memorable. Overall, it was a good experience, and the space has potential. Wishing for a better visit next time!
Delicious food options, the drinks are pretty sweet. Order the boa bun flight and the lo mein with steak, perfectly suited to eat in a hotel bed 🙌⭐️. The tosdads are also quite notable. The bar is hardly every crowded so the service is quick.
I went during the last day of restaurant week and got the salad, chicken sandwich, and matcha flan. The plating was excellent and food delicious, minus some cold fries. I brought this up to my server who said it would be handled and that was the last anything was said about it lol, hence the 4 stars.

Coffee was bad. Weak espresso pull all you can taste is milk. Had to throw it away and go somewhere else. The staff was nice though.

Do not go! I went there for my bday on Sunday 23/2025 between 4-5 pm and it was ruined! The waitress approached us but we were not ready. She said take your time and never came back. Never even looked at us again. There were only 3 small tables and there were 2 workers a waitress and a waiter ( or bartenders). We were sitting there waiting for service none of the workers made an eye contact nor said a word to us. They had their back at us all the time. We waited 20 min in disbelief, the place was empty and yet we were ignored and never received a service. I have been coming to the hotel every November for my bday. Never again. What a shame. Such a beautiful place and yet inadequate, lazy, uncaring workers. It was really disgusting to see their uncaring behavior towards customers. I made a complaint to the front desk and went to another bar to order something to eat.
