Their hours are exceptional and only outclassed by the variety of dishes they serve and the caliber at which they make it. The service is top notch and makes it feel truly like a top end establishment. Friendly and knowledgeable services and the ambience is perfect for any occasion. OMG!!! My fiancee and I go to bj in the rim ALL THE TIME but today we decided to go to the BJ’s location #498 and yall … the server ISHMIAH B was ABSOLUTELY the BEST server we’ve ever had at any location. She was so detail oriented and attentive, and her energy was just amazing. I really really hope next time we come back that we were able to get her.

This neighborhood brew house in San Antonio is my go-to jam every time I roll into town—like a trusty sidekick that never lets me down. This round, I snagged the chicken sandwich, and bless their pickled hearts, they piled on extra pickles when I begged. I’m talking a glorious green avalanche—my taste buds threw a party, and everyone was invited. My kiddo dove into the kids’ menu burger, which rolled up with two patties, because apparently they’re raising tiny carnivores here. Tried to snap a pic of that double-decker beauty, but nope—my son was already face-deep in it, chomping like a velociraptor on a mission. Evidence? Devoured. This place is a certified winner—great vibes, solid grub, and they don’t skimp on the good stuff. Do yourself a favor and swing by, unless you hate happiness, pickles, or kids who eat faster than a food-vacuum hybrid. Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, everything came out fresh, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really made the night special was our server Maddy. She was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure we had everything we needed and added a warm, personal touch to our meal. Great food and even better service. We will definitely be coming back and asking for Maddy next time.

The hostess Dalila was very welcoming upon arrival. The restaurant and restroom was clean and the music was uplifting at an appropriate volume. Lunch specials are a deal! We have been coming to this BJ's for 2 years now and it always delivers. This time was even better. Our server Tawab was the epitome of a server. He made sure our cups stayed filled and we were attended to a literally the perfect intervals. He let us know he was knew but he was a pro at his craft already. We ordered the Tri Tip (our usual) and it was phenomenal. Highly suggest trying their seasonal Camaraderie Wheat beer and the Mad Crazy Mango IPA. Both were crisp and refreshing.

They got 4 stars on food because the queso was completely average, if not below. Nothing special about it. Now the brisket burger on the other hand, was maybe the best burger I've ever had. The perfect blend of Ingredients, perfect size patty and bun. Added some jalapeños for a little spice, and voilà!! Magic.

Yall BJs is in point. Tonight was Veterans Day and we got a discount and Dad got a free pizookie and everything we ordered was really great! Love the diverse menu even our picky tweens enjoyed their food. I had the BJs berry cider was exxxtremely delicious highly recommend 👌

It's the same great food, service, & atmosphere I grew to love at The Rim...now this is our new neighborhood BJ's. UPDATE 3/23: Its still Booyakah 👌🏼 Looky looky, it hasn't changed. UPDATE 11/23: Had the saddest pizza in history the other night🤦🏻‍♂️ UPDATE 2/24: They stopped serving Buffalo Trace...a sad & last visit 😢

Things were a bit slow today, but I've never had a negative experience until today. It was only because they were down two cooks, so my family and I were very understanding of their situation. Other than that, all of us loved our food and enjoyed our time. Before today, I'd give BJ's a 5 star and due to their unique situation, I'll continue to give them 5 stars. Also, our server was absolutely amazing.

Been to a lot of BJs in my time and this one is top tier. Super friendly staff and delicious food. We hung out there for a while without any pressure to hurry or close our tab. All the food was delicious, from the salad to the main dish. I had a fried chicken sandwich for dinner and it was cooked perfectly and served at the right temperature beautifully. For dessert, I knew I wanted a pazookie. Our server shared a new flavor pazookie (smores) as her new fave. I wasn't sure as I'm an oreo guy myself but I opted to go for it. I will say it is a close 2nd. It was super savory with the chocolate and sweet marshmallow topping. This place set the bar for all future BJs we go to and I'm glad to have shared the experience with great company. Thanks again!

We ate at BJs tonight. I had the prime rib special. They only have it on the weekend. Comes with 15oz prime rib, 2 sides, soup or salad and a pizookie. Everything was wonderful. I had the chicken tortilla soup which was so good. All that for $29.99. The service was great and I made sure to let the manager know before we left. They always get the complaints, I like to give them the compliments when they are deserved.

We came to BJ’s almost a week prior, and we’re seated promptly, but after a 15 minute wait. The server never came, so we left and let the manager know. Today, We had exceptional service from Maddy. She went above and beyond and serviced us with a smile.

I usually go on Thursdays for the special but decided to try out the Wednesday deals. Special was $5.00 bone in or boneless wings. Tried both and it was really tasty. I also ordered the $13.00 spaghetti and chicken parm special. Kind of small but it is the lunch size for the low price. It also includes a mini pizookie of your choice that puts it over the top. Service was the best. My server name was Maddy. She was always attentive and came by often to check for drink refills. Her attitude was cheerful and made my meal more enjoyable!

I want to congratulate Mike (kitchen manager) on his outstanding willingness and understanding of what it means for me to get a dish that was removed from menu, out to my table. He merely took all the ingredients available to make my salad that I so cherish. He goes above and beyond what someone else would have said it’s not available and order something else, not Mike…..he made it happen and am so thankful he is on the Alamo ranch team. My husband and I eat here on a regular basis. He loves the spaghetti and meatballs, and I love the parmesan-crusted chicken, but the best part is the wonderful service we receive. We always ask for Janna because she greets us with a smile and is quick to handle any special requests we may have. The atmosphere is relaxing and we usually finish the meal off with one of the Pisookie cookies which is big enough for two. I recommend going early if you are having dinner. It can get busy later in the evening.

We love this place for our date nights! We have never had a bad experience and the servers are amazing. I’m gluten free so it’s hard to find somewhere nice to eat but this place has plenty for me. My favorite thing to eat is their Smash Burger with the gluten free bun. I So delicious.

Server Erwin is the BEST. His timing of serving our drinks and food was perfect!! Very attentive!! The $13.00 meal deals are awesome. Just enough to enjoy the pazookie which is included. Our little one enjoyed the coloring book and crayons and our preteen and teen enjoyed playing trivia on the big screens. Truly an enjoyable evening. Will be back for sure!!!

I really enjoyed the food. I came here with friends for my birthday and had a great time with great company. The atmosphere was great with dim lighting and moderate noise. There is plenty of parking all around the building. I put a reservation online due to my party size being about 9 people and I didnt want to have to wait. I was asked to wait regardless until at least 5 people in my party showed. It wasnt too bad just that Alamo Ranch traffic did interfere with everyone being on time.

Her positive attitude and ability to cater to our needs were truly remarkable. Although I am older, I had forgotten the importance of exceptional customer service. Alexi was on point with everything we were celebrating, a small accomplishment that she recognized and celebrated with us. She even bought my son a cake for his new company shirts. I am deeply impressed with the customer service I received at BJ’s and would highly recommend the establishment. The food was also exceptional, making it a memorable dining experience. The only thing is I wish they would not play the music inside to loud echo.

The food was good but my fries came to me cold. On the plus side, they replaced them with fresh ones. It was busy so our food took a while to come. My server, when I had asked her about the wait, reiterated the busy factor without an apology for the wait. To be fair, she did check on the food and reported back. The atmosphere was great. Came in for a drink and appetizer, my server/bartender Ola was the best. She told me what drinks they had I asked if she could make a Pink Cadillac and she did NOT disappoint. I asked where she was from bc she didn't have a TX accent she told me and we had a great mini conversation. Even though it was a quick stop I'd definitely go back as long as she's behind the bar.

I had such a lovely experience at BJ’s! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home. The service was wonderful. A special shoutout to our server Maddy, who was not only incredibly helpful and professional but also had the most charming smile and great energy. It’s always nice when someone can brighten your meal just with their vibe, and they definitely did that! The food was delicious, but honestly, it was the service that made the night memorable. You can tell the team here really cares about creating a good experience for their guests. My wife and I stop in here often after events, when we have visitors in town, or anytime we just need a convenient, reliable place to eat. The service is consistently good and the atmosphere is always pleasant. I appreciate the solid beer selection, and my wife can usually find a wine she likes. My only real complaint is the lack of plant‑based food options. The menu is extremely limited in that area and has actually gotten worse over time. We can make do by customizing dishes, but it’s not easy and the choices are very slim. For a company of this size, I’d expect a bit more inclusivity and variety on the plant‑based side.

We stopped by this locationand ordered from the lunch specials. I chose the Mediterranean Bowl, and my wife went with the Southern Fried Chicken meal. Both dishes came in surprisingly small portions they felt more like kids’ meals than lunch entrées. The taste of the Mediterranean Bowl was just average, nothing particularly memorable. The highlight of the visit was actually the mini Pizookie that comes with the lunch special. I ordered the caramel one, and it was excellent warm, rich, and easily the best part of the meal. Overall, the food was okay but underwhelming in both portion size and flavor. The Pizookie helped redeem the visit, but the main dishes left us wanting more.

The food at this restaurant is good, and the ambience is nice, although it might be a bit loud for some people's taste. I also noticed they have an impressive selection of homebrewed beers, which could be a great addition to the dining experience. Be prepared to wait for service, especially if you're visiting on a busy night like Saturday. The restaurant's size can make things feel a bit slow-paced. While the prices are on the higher side.

the food was pretty good, however it took almost an hour to come out. we tried to order a pizookie as well but our waitress seemed to neglect our table. she would barely come by and when she did she just dropped stuff off and left. didn’t ask if we were okay or how the food was or anything. very disappointed.

Update; We finally came back today, August 24th and had dinner. We were hoping things would be better by now, but nothing was. The hamburger was dry, the fries were room temperature and some tasted like fish. I guess they use the same fryer for fish and fries. Gross. We ordered a medium rare ribeye and it was cooked well done. They made another one, but we waited way too long for it. It was cooked medium rare, but only tasted ok. The salad tasted and felt like they never washed off the dirt. As you can see by the new pictures, the forks and knife were disgusting. How does someone wrap these nasty things up in napkins without seeing the old food stuck on them? We've been here twice. Most recently, October 11th. They were a little busy, but not bad and we were seated quickly. We waited over 30 minutes to get our beer and over 45 minutes to get our food. The beer wasn't even cold. The nice waitress, Christal, apologized for the delay and she said it was because of some event they were having on the other side of the restaurant. They were getting beer and drinks and food nonstop. We were being ignored. I guess management doesn't care about all the customers. If it was a staffing issue they should have planned ahead. So we got beer barely below room temperature and the food quality was just ok. Very disappointing experience.

We decided to come here for brunch. We got here before 11.30 and by the time we got there, there were less 10 tables with customers since it open not long ago. Our drinks came around 11.30 then we ordered an appetizer and two sandwiches. We got appetizer within 10mins after ordered which make sense since it's just Tuna poke & fried wonton chips. We then waited for forever and the waitress didn't even check on us or update us anything after it has been 20mins after we ordered. We waited for another 10mins and still nobody check on us so we stopped the waitress and asked how much longer do we have to wait since it had been 30mins by that point. She then went to check with the kitchen and told us it will be just 2more minutes and turned out to be several more minutes till our food were finally served. Food look good but definitely not worth nearly 40minutes of waiting. Coleslaw was different from the picture in menu since they chop the vegetables differently and dressing was not rich. Fried chicken and buns were fine. Fries was really good. I only had few bites and got to go box since i waited too long and lost my appetite. Overall : nice place but didn't give us good first impression and def not good experience. update : I love the quick response and acknowledge of the problem and try to fix it from you. When we visit here again, we will def give your restaurant another try.

Usually great but this time, something was off. Service was very good but the food....not up to their usual standards. Prime rib looked like it was pre-sliced and was under the radiant food warmer a little too long. Ditto the side of mashed potatoes. The chowder was too salty. Cannot comment on my friends' orders but I'm guessing they were ok with them. Maybe this was a fluke. I've been here a few times and never disappointed before.

As always the food was good with one serious and important caveat. Service took a bit longer than usual the issue I have is that we clear stated multiple times one of the members of our party has a severe onion allergy. And upon waiting an extended period of time we received our food. And right there a big red onion chunk on the plate. This is something that needs to be taken more seriously in the kitchen. Had he not fully inspected his plate we would’ve been in the ER. Get it together BJ’s. Despite that significant issue the food and our waiter was good.

We were there during the week for lunch. We started with the calamari. It had too much breading and the flavor wasn’t that great. I had the strawberry fields chicken salad. The salad was good, however, there was barely any dressing on it and only one piece of cheese! My husband had the brisket nachos. He liked the flavor, however, he said that they needed more meat and less sauce. We use to come to this particular restaurant when we lived in San Antonio. Unfortunately, the quality has gone down. Everything use to be delicious.

As I sit here in this overly dusty BJ’s(dusty enough for me to play tic tac toe in the dust) and I watch the health inspector make his rounds, I wonder if he too noticed the dust? The atmosphere was quiet without too many people at the lunch hour. I think if not for Olaisha our server, I would be giving a solid 2-3 stars, but her pleasant attitude and prompt service has redeemed BJ’s for the day. We ordered lemon pepper wings which were obviously dumped into the fryer all at once because several came stuck together which caused there to be a lack of breading on the sides stuck together. We ordered pizza and asked for extra sauce and extra cheese which were not added. We ordered a beer and upon tasting, deduced that it was not the correct beer. When the manager went to check the tap, it was confirmed that the beer was hooked to the wrong keg and what we had ordered was not available. But again, Olaisha redeemed the day. She brought over a few samples of different beers to see if we could make a different selection. She brought extra marinara sauce to fix the lack of extra sauce. She even sent us home with extra sauce for the pizza that went home in the box. Her thoughtfulness and quick solutions made the entire experience better than it would have been without her quick action. While I’m quite sure the only reason I would come back here is to be served by Olaisha, I now know that I can’t expect to have what I actually ordered without giving clear instructions to avoid any confusion.

Had not eat here in a while and decided to try it again as in the past the food was great was completely let down. Food didn’t taste good and got sick for the price i paid for two people it was not worth it. We went originally went for the avocado rolls and came to find out it was missing the majority of the other ingredients listed and it just had avocado by itself. Probably won’t return but the waiter was okay.

I have some idealized perception from a decade ago that BJ's is a good restaurant, but many of my recent visits have been less than satisfactory. My most recent trip to this BJ's did nothing to cast it in a positive light. The food was ok this trip but their timing horrendous. Once we put in our order we waited 17 mins to get our appetizer, meanwhile people who were seated much after us were being served food. By the time our appetizer came our waiter said sorry, obviously knowing they screwed up, but didnt offer any explanation. After another lengthy wiat our entrees came and were cold. My wifes skimpy grilled cheese had completely congealed. Really messed up BJs, I want to expect more from you, but sadly don't.

The steak was not medium rare and sadly we eat it cold since the waitress did not had the fries ready (SIDE included) so we had only our steak in the plate and not the fries. We ask for manager and he or she never show up. Not coming here again.

I went in last night with my family, 10 of us. Our waitress spent more time catering to her other tables. Everyone got their food, and it was all cold. My plate "got lost due to people taking orders to the wrong tables" according to the waitress. Everyone had finished eating by the time i got my luke warm food that had just been prepared. When the manager came out, he spoke so quickly and walked off without me getting a word in. My wife had to send her plate back due to it being cold, and the second plate was just as cold. So disappointing.

Ordered Door Dash. Ribeye with mashed potatoes and salad. Ribs with mashed potatoes and salad. I got 4 forks with my order and no knives. So I got to pick up my ribeye with my hands to eat it. It was cooked perfect and tasted pretty good. They forgot to give me mashed potatoes with my ribeye. Ribs tasted OK, definitely not great and they were tough. If you like fall off the bone tender ribs, do not order here. Mashed potatoes were dry (no butter). Overall I was not satisfied. BJ’s could do a lot better with their cooking and preparing Togo orders.

Took 45 mins to get seated. Manager was kind enough to give my son some lemonade (in a small kids cup) and some crackers since we had been waiting. Shout out to the manager for that! Waiter who took our order asked if I needed to “square up with the bar” for my 6yo sons drink….? Huh? My son wanted spaghetti, so I have him order himself, he requests spaghetti and once he’s finished I start to tell the waiter we will be splitting the meal; and he cuts me off. So I wait while he enters the wrong kids meal spaghetti into his POS. Once he is done I tell him we want the regular spaghetti. Once he enters that in…I tell him we also want the avocado rolls, lemonade and sweet tea. Before the word “tea” leaves my mouth he cuts me off again. Too much info at once I guess. In short, spaghetti plate weighed 3.6lbs from all the sauce and avocado rolls had an unappetizing color to it. I dug out the avocado and ate a coupe of the wraps. Only reason we went to BJ’s instead of Olive Garden is due to having a $200 gift card I purchased at a charity auction. Paid 65% of face value and Still feel like I got ripped off. It was Friday at 7:00pm with Game 1 of the World Series and Spurs season opener so I get it…probably just bad timing on my part. However, I'm not a picky person and hesitant to write this because I’m not “that kinda guy.” I don’t want anything for free and really don’t expect a response. I’m 99% sure no one orders the spaghetti twice and if I’ve learned one thing from living in San Antonio all my life…no one cares how good guacamole is if the color is off.

Ordered wings/sliders/spaghetti/Beef dip sandwich. The wings were great spaghetti was good, and the sliders hit the spot the beef dip had to have sit under a heat lamp or something. The bread was harder then when you reheat bread in a microwave, the au jus was so separated it was 90% fat and was not emulsified with the rest of the "drippings" if that's what they even had in there. The coleslaw was THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED! I do not know if it was because it sat under a heat lamp and got hot but when I tasted it the coleslaw taste like Styrofoam and burnt plastic, and was so warm. I literally spit it out into my napkin something I never have had to do before. I couldn't believe how bad it was so I asked my wife to try in order to confirm I was not crazy she made a horrible twisted face but swallowed it (unfortunately) and it ruined her appetite and she couldn't finish her spaghetti and meatballs. We also were excited for desert but couldn't even finish our food because of how bad it was. There was no explanation when told to the waitress and after the manager came and asked if we wanted anything like another side or something which literally did nothing for us since we couldn't eat anymore because our appetite was ruined. All in all maybe it was a one time thing where they sat the food under a heatlamp to long or they left out coleslaw that has an egg product in it (mayonnaise) for however long and it spoiled and they still served it to us. We'll never know but we still payed for everything we just plan to never return.

Going to give the most stars for the service, it was really good and our waitress did a great job, none of this is on her. I ordered a Ahi Tuna salad and boneless chicken wings…. This is where it all went awry… My salad had a bunch of salad and not much of anything else. Apparently, there’s a tuna shortage because I got a bowl of lettuce and a couple thinly sliced tiny pieces of tuna. The red peppers, the avacado, basically the accoutrement of the dish was null and void. Just an overpriced bowl of lettuce. The boneless wings were the equivalent of the frozen Tyson boneless wings you buy at Sam’s or Costco and throw in the fryer real quick, not much love there at all. For $100 meal, there could have been a lot more effort out into the actual food. I ate here a couple years ago when we were on this same trip out west and I remember it being much better. The place didn’t seem very clean and the restrooms were a wreck. That usually says a lot about the management of a place and how they care for what’s going on there. Nothing to see here, trust me when I say, best to move along now.

The service was extremely slow it took a long time just to be acknowledged and get drinks, 45 minutes to get an appetizer, and when we got it it was cold. Our waitress barely acknowledged us and didn’t come around to acknowledge the delay. There were several people around who got drinks, appetizers, and entrees by the time we even were able to order entrees. Slow service is valid on a busy weekend but the lack of communication ruined it.

Arrived with a party of 6 and expected a wait. However was told 30 mins and waited over 50 mins. Upon arriving the waitress was very friendly and we explained how long we have been waiting so we just ordered our drinks and meals to save on time. Most people in my party either returned the food or just boxed it up. 2 plates of ribeye were not cooked as requested. The steak was requested as medium rare and the Chicken parm plate was very dry and hard. Edit: manager came to our table and spoke with us and explained and apologized. He was very friendly & professional.

We had a 7pm reservation for 8 people. Celebrating a birthday. Service was extremely slow. We didn’t order until 7:45. Twenty minutes to get a beer. Cold appetizer. Cold food. Manager said they were busy for a Tuesday. We ended up being there 3 hours. That is insane. Other tables were upset too. You can tell when everyone is looking around. With empty drinks and no food. Will not return.

Waitress took the rest of my money without giving me my change back guess she needed it more then I did won’t be coming back for this being my 1st time here. Didn’t get a refill on my sweet tea. I think I just had a bad waitress that day but over all doesn’t matter I’m good

First, our server was very nice. But the kitchen took forever! We were a party of 12. Everyone ordered either a fried chicken sandwich or a burger. No alcohol. My burger was lettuce wrapped, or supposed to be. It was very sloppily put into a single lettuce leaf on my baking tray. My sweet potato fries were old and cold. My daughter couldn’t even eat her French fries because they were saltier than a salt lick. The Mac and cheese for the kids was Kraft garbage, not fresh. The kids corn dogs were over cooked in oil that was too cool, so the breading was tough and dripping with oil and the inside hot dog was burnt. Very gross. One adult ordered the Caesar salad with the grilled chicken. For $16 you expect a nice large salad. Nope it was side salad size. It tasted good but, way too expensive for what she got. Every one else said that besides the buns being too thick it was ok. Then we ordered pazookies. The smores one only comes in regular size. It was weird. The kids said it would be better with Graham cracker cookie. The strawberry one was good. The Oreo one was ok. The triple chocolate one was kind of gross. It almost had an alcohol taste to it. The chocolate chip one was ok. Overall impression for our first time to this restaurant was… not again. Nope we won’t return.

There were over 20 staff members on the floor, yet somehow the restrooms had no toilet paper and paper towels were scattered everywhere like no one had checked them all day. Basic cleanliness should not be this hard. On top of that, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. Several staff members have a staring problem, just standing around, staring at guests instead of actually helping. It made us feel unwelcome from the start. To make things worse, staff is straight-up rude. No warmth, no attentiveness, just an attitude like we were inconveniencing them by being there. For a place that’s clearly overstaffed, the service and upkeep were shockingly bad. Definitely not the experience I expect, and I won’t be rushing back.

Last night, when I visited this restaurant for a late dinner, I was seated promptly by the hostess. Unfortunately, while clearing my head, I lost track of time but noticed no one came to take my order or even acknowledge my table. When I checked the time, I had been sitting for 40 minutes while several staff members, servers and even the manager passed by without stopping. The hostess was the only person who noticed I had not been helped and kindly checked on me. Once I asked to speak with the manager, my assigned server finally approached, but by then I was both embarrassed and out of time, needing to leave for work. The manager offered to prepare something to go, but I didn’t have the time or patience to wait any longer. It was disappointing to have such an experience at an otherwise busy and well-staffed restaurant but even more so, it was hurtful to be overlooked in that way, especially on a night I really needed a little kindness and good service. I truly hope management addresses this so that every guest—including those dining alone—feels seen and valued.

This place only gets one star because the food was not good as far taste nor presentation. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer and we got pieces of chips no whole ones and here is what really takes the cake there was bacon on the tray where the chips came on. How gross is that? We didn't even order anything with bacon, which let's me know this place can get definitely get someone sick because of cross contamination. Not good at all! My shrimp tacos fell apart as soon as I picked it up so I could not even enjoy it if I tried and plus the shrimp had no flavor. We would not go back to this place for any reason nor would we recommend it either. P.S. my husband said he pizza was not fully cooked.

Im a customer of BJs, normally I come happy and leave happy, and I worked in a restaurant as a server for a long time I know how it works. Tonight I came to celebrate something with my husband, and leaving disappointed. We ordered two burgers, that took +30 minutes to get ready, and then got cold served. “Manager” came and said he will bring them fresh burguers, but he turned out to be a little liar and brought the same ones but reheated, almost burnt. I would understand if kitchen mistake, server mistake, runner mistake, but getting lied by the “manager” it’s really offensive. We took a piece of the patty off, that’s how we knew they where the exact same ones. Just really disappointed. I’m Mexican but a good customer, my tip normally is 20% or more as I was a server for a long time, this little guy also didn’t know how to address the situation. Just bad taste tonight at BJs

I was torn between the salad and the nachos and man, I should have just gone with salad instead. I didn’t take a photo when I first got them, but I took this after I ate the 5 chips with little toppings. I had no idea there would be no cheese under the top layer of chips this is so wild! Soooo, you pay like $16 for a bag of plain corn chips. I asked our server (who was great btw, no issues there at all) if this was normal, and he said yes. Like… having a large tray of chips with nothing on them was totally normal. Honestly it was comical. I definitely did not need a to go box for my leftovers. But I did have to go home and eat actual dinner. Crazy y’all. My kid loved her pizookie though. Don’t order the nachos. 0/10 do not recommend lol

Had a 5pm reservation for a birthday dinner. Still had to wait for our table (restaurant was very empty) Waited over 30mins to get drinks. Another 30min just for our order to be taken. The food and very poor service was not worth the $200 bill.

I can't rate the service since I ordered doordash, but this was the worst steak I've ever had. everything from the steak to the asparagus was so overly salted and over cooked. $50 later i would rather eat an outback steak any day

Came to this place to celebrate my son's birthday. 1st time being here. They told us 45 to 50 min wait. We waited over an 1 and still they didn't call us. I went up to the host to ask and was told we were next but someone who got there after we did was walked straight to the back by the other host. Not to mention the other host was rude. And they also had a family of 7. When I asked the other host she try to make it right and get us a table. But that still took a little more than 10 mins. My daughter in law left to olive garden and they got us a table real quick. We didn't even have to wait. 10 mins after we left and had ordered at olive garden we get a text that our table was ready. What a waste of time. Never again will I go there.

This is a New Review as of Friday AUGUST 22, 2025 @BJ's Alamo Ranch Location #498 The employees from the Hostess to the Waiter were friendly! Management was on the floor greeting some guests. Me and a friend both ordered the meal deal. (We took the Pizookie dessert 2-go after our meal) I had the chicken fried steak meal deal, I would say the presentation of it was not appealing, it had chicken fried steak w/ gravy w/ mashed potatoes pieces hanging from it. The chicken was well cooked, the mashed potatoes were cold and the roasted corn was ok. The reason for my 1 star was necessary because before I could use my cloth napkin, it was already dirty with food crumbs scattered inside. Along with that the filthy silverware had residue of partially stained food stuck to them. I asked the waiter for plastic silverware and a clean new napkin. ( BJ'S stop charging people for meals in a dirty restaurant 😒, if your things aren't clean, Are your pots, pans and food suspect too?) My friend had a Ahi Poke appetizer ( and said it was tasty) For dinner my friend had the Enlightened Chicken Mediterranean Bowl, which she said was good. The waiter came by 4 times to check on us. He was good however never asked if I needed a drink refill.

This is the second time I have been here in a longtime. My friend and I decided to stop here for dinner before we had to be somewhere else close by. We arrived and were seated pretty quickly around 5:30. We were sat in a booth by the restrooms and I ordered the Brewhouse Bites Sampler. We didn’t get our food until 6:20 and it was COLD! My friend ordered the Crispy Jalapeño Burger with fries and they were both cold, too. When our waitress brought our food, she didn’t apologize for how long it took for us to get it, she put it on the table, asked if we needed anything else and left. They weren’t packed so I don’t know why our food took so long to come out. This was a huge disappointment!

Horrible. Food was cold and made errors on the order Different people brought out food despite it being incorrect. Calamari was all breading...breading same as kids chicken tenders. 3 course prime rib was Horrible. Served cold, veggies were burnt and cold, baked potatoe was cold a made incorrectly. Manager forgot to bring the order corrected Manager never came to check or rectify situation Manager is absolutely horrible. Ive had the same experience the last two times with the same manager. Both tabs were over 150.00 Will never go back. Horrible service, horrible staff, horrible Manager, horrible food. I dont blame the staff because they are only as good as the manager trains The manager is an embarrassment. He seems lost He mumbles Hes typically at the bar talking to.his waitstaff. Its sad

I'm pretty appalled by our most recent visit. My husband and I used to come for date nights and it used to be great. This time was the worst we've experienced there. Appetizer took forever and was lukewarm, pizzas were burnt on top (according to the manager, that's "just how they come out"). After the 2 large pizzas came out, we waited forever for our daughter to get the wrong pizza and the server never came back to say anything about it until much later, and my husbands chicken parmesan pasta took forever and came out looking like yesterday's reheated leftovers- it was also chewy and had no flavor- he took 2 bites and couldn't eat any more. The only thing that came out perfect and edible were my other daughter's chicken tenders and that is sad. To put the cherry on top, I asked to speak to the manager (which i dont make a habit of unless its to praise service) and he took about 20 minutes to come out only to make excuses for everything and try to make as little amends as possible. I'm fairly certain he thought I just wanted everything free which was annoying because he had no sense of accountability or integrity about the situation. We will not be returning and will do what we can to make sure others do not have to endure the disappointment. For the TLDR crew: Took forever, food was not good, they need a manager that cares about the food and service in the restaurant. Don't go, not worth it.

Went by this evening at 9:00pm. Didn’t wait long for a table. We were seated and writhing 2-3 minutes we were greeted by the waiter who took our drink order. He returned with the drinks and took our meal order. For my meal I ordered the personal pizza with side salad, waiter mentioned they only had the meat one, I let him know that was ok. A while later he returned with the other meals that were ordered, at that time he let me know that they also ran out of the deep dish dough, so he told the kitchen to make my pizza on a flat bread. There are several issues with him making that decision for me rather than coming to ask me if I would like that or order something else. I did tell him no it’s ok I don’t want that, he said well they are already making it. He brings it out and says I took your meal off the bill so since I did that you also can not get the pozookie that was going to come with your meal. Mind you tha was the only reason we stopped by BJ”s was for the dessert. If I would have had an option of changing my order I could have chosen something else and been able to get my dessert. What I find strange is that at other restaurants when there is an issue with a table the manager is told and then they come by to just access the situation. That was not the case here. Overall I won’t be visiting again anytime soon.

Do yourself a favor and pick another place that’s safe to eat at. Rude hostess, nice server but very slow service and weak management. Went here on Sunday November 17, 2025 and left pretty furious. It started with a glass they served me with my wine that had food and specks of food hardened to the glass. Didn’t see the server for about 5mins so I walked up to the hostess stand to ask for someone to get a new glass. Manager walked out and saw what was going on and went to get me a new glass. Waited another 5-7mins before he returned. Not sure where he went but that was way too long to wait for an empty glass. I got up to ask the hostess where my glass was since she was there when we asked for a new one and she acted like I was in the wrong fr approaching her area? Appetizer(avocado eggrolls) comes out, not hot and flavorless and missing a lot of ingredients. We love this dish and had it many times so we know it pretty well so we were kind of surprised but once again server was no where. Whatever…that’s a minor issue that salt and pepper fixed. Grand finale: entrees delivered and I have a fingernail mixed in my food. A large acrylic nail. Pretty sure that’s a health code violation. GROSS! Again no server to be found so we get the hostess that is walking by but purposely avoids looking at us as we say ma’am 3 times so loud other guests turned to look. She finally turns around and we ask for the manager. He comes out, says omg and offers to get new dishes. Nope…we will pass. We were pretty upset with the situation of a rude hostess, dirty glassware and now this so a bit of a scene in the front of the hostess stand started. Pretty much instead of taking care of the issue he just wanted us gone so he said have a good night and we left. He refused to give us his bosses info, names of the hostess that was rude, servers name…just wanted us gone and acted like we were the problem and were overreacting! Guess I should be glad it was just a nail and. Or a finger??? If you choose to spend your money here, make sure you check everything. Clearly there’s no management going on so you’ll need to be extra diligent when eating here. If a glass passes through 2 sets of eyes (bartender and server) and no one sees how dirty it was there’s a problem. If Food passes the kitchen with fingernails after at least another 2 sets of eyes (server and expo) see it…there’s a major problem happening. Not sure what’s up but we used to frequent this place but the last couple times we went it was just ok. We hadn’t been in a few months and decided to try it again but wow…it’s really gone downhill! We all work hard for our money especially these days…do not waste it here.

We definitely got hustled. $25 for over way over cooked food and jared spaghetti sauce. Definitely dont recommend this dish. Fries were the best thing my family of 5 ordered. Waited over an hour for a corner booth and got sat at a table -__-. Said they must have mixed us up. The family that went to our table was here for less than. 5 minutes. Would not recommend. Arrived at 7:25pm. at night. Food came to table around 9pm. All for my sons school on a fundraiser night.

Haven't even ordered my food yet and drank out of my cup to turn it around and realize it's lettuce on my cup. I was seated at a booth that wasn't clean. The chicken was overcooked. Vegetables burnt. The waiter was genuine and the host was nice. That's all I can say that was positive. To have to keep asking the waiter for things I felt like my food was going to get spat in. It was not crowded at all. Thought I could give this a place a chance but after this. I would rather spend 90 on groceries. At least my dogs had a mediocre snack.

I love BJ’s and I love their food, but I ordered an entree sized Caesar salad to pick up for takeout without the chicken - was still charged $16.99, and when I got home to take it out of the box it was literally the size of a side salad. Tell me why I just paid $16.99 for a side salad. That’s insane. Including a photo of it fully mixed in for reference. You can’t charge people the full price of a salad and then fill the takeout box halfway. Honestly in disbelief and very annoyed. Will not order takeout from here ever again because they cheat you on portions!

I had the most disappointing experience today at BJ’s. We frequent this restaurant and usually have a great experience dining in. Tonight when picking up the food there was no one at the pick up desk. The hostess was putting on her lipstick and was too busy with that task to help out. Two other servers were deep in conversation and looked up and acknowledged someone there to pick up their order but continued their conversation. We actually called from inside the restaurant to the desk area and no one came over to get the phone. After 10 minutes the manager on duty finally appeared from wherever they had been and apologized for the wait and gave us cold food. Very disappointing as the food is usually great(though no fault to the chef that we received ours cold) and the service is typically the same. There’s lots of improvements that can be made and I hope this review encourages that.
