Absolutely delicious. I loved the Mexican fish & shrimp plate. This plate comes with rice but I always substitute by asking for creamy macaroni Mmmmm. We also had the shrimp & Oyster plate. I did taste an Oyster but wow it was rubbery & took several minutes to chew. Usually the Oysters are better here, not sure what happened. I also had to steal one onion ring and wow so crispy and delicious. Overall experience was fantasticly delicious. Not crowded at all, social distancing was in practice and the lady tending to all the tables was the most kindest helpful person. She was on top of it helping all the tables without missing a beat! She Rocks for being an elderly person.

Anytime I've had an issue with anything they've made it right. Today especially, I was having a really rough day. Joseph at the drive thru was especially kind and it brightened my day so thank you sir. I come here often for my family and the manager Eugene is great too.

Never been to one of these before. Asked for a recommendation from the cashier (Ayden?). Young man behind the counter suggested his favorite which was "Mexican Style", so that's what I ordered. Took a little time to come out, only because they were cooking it fresh. Came out piping hot and tasty. A really good option if you don't want fried.

Everything was pretty good this trip. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate with fries and Mac and cheese. Wife had the fish sandwich with Cole slaw. Tables were clean as was the rest of the restraunt. Everyone was curtious and helpful. We'll be back.

My family was visiting San Antonio and my wife found Bill Miller’s. We stopped in for dinner after a long fun day at SeaWorld. I was pleasantly surprised by everything here! The restaurant was clean and well taken care of, the restrooms obviously get plenty of attention. Service was stellar! From the nice workers at the counter taking orders and helping my kids with refills, to Kelly who was working the floor delivering food and attending to our needs. Kelly was especially sweet and is a total asset to Bill Miller’s. We had coconut shrimp, fried fish and shrimp plate, and the kids fried shrimp meal. The macaroni and cheese was very creamy, the coleslaw was delicious, cod - on point, and shrimp - excellent! I’m just a little bummed that there isn’t a location close to my home! Next time I’m back in San Antonio, I’ll stop in.

I go there not for the fish but their cheeseburger. the bun is sweet and burger has good favor. Excellent mash up for a simple burger.

This is a great tasting fish restaurant. This is not a fancy, fine dining place, with waitstaff running around. On the contrary, you order your food at the counter and they bring the food to your table. We have eaten there many times and the fish is consistantly good. They have a great variety of foods such as fish grilled or fried, gumbo, catfish, cheese burgers, chicken, combo meals and side dishes. The fish is always fried or grilled, "just right".

I'm an Oklahoma boy - our seafood isn't very fresh unless it's catfish, and that's not really seafood it's lake food. So I ordered the fisherman's platter - and the shrimp tasted fresh the Cod was good - the seafood soup was very good. I enjoyed my entire meal except the single hush puppy - and that's because I like sweet hush puppies. So - understand again - I don't get fresh seafood very often - I might be easy to please in the respect.

On the side, we enjoyed fries, hush puppies, and garlic bread. The fries were golden and seasoned just right, the hush puppies were crisp and fluffy inside, and the garlic bread was warm and buttery. Hamburger with fries. Hamburger bun nicely toasted just like mom loves, old fashioned burgers. Baked potato, sour cream , butter available. Mug Root beer. Great variety. My wife had wanted to eat here for quite sometime. Me not really being a fan of Bill Millers(sorry I know that’s so unTexan like). We were looking for a place to take her dad out for lunch which was near to his assisted living home. My wife suggested Laguna Madre so I agreed to give it a try. This place is clean but looks kind of run down. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is pretty good for the value. I had the fish and shrimp and enjoyed my meal. The tea was a little watery so I switched to soda. It's a value restaurant that provides a good price for seafood. We will be back again for dinner.

Ordered the #2 combo plate with Mac & cheese instead of coleslaw. The fried shrimp was good! Restaurant was nice and clean with plenty of parking for dine in.

It was grilled fish and shrimp with bell pepper, onions and a avacado slice on a bed of rice. I asked for tarter sauce, cocktail sauce, lemon slices and bread. And to top it off a slice of lemon pie. Everything was very good.

Fat shrimp in me delicious gumbo! Went great with my fish sandwich. Also tried some fried shrimp and creamy mac n cheese! The items on the menu were a little pricey but our food was fresh & everything tasted good. You get what you pay for. Food came out at a reasonable time. We weren't disappointed. We left happy!

I would give Laguna a 4.5. food is good. Sometimes service time is a little long but that does mean you're getting fresh food. Sometimes forget my sauces. We like the Gumbo and rice on the side. The Fried Cod and Shrimp are great. Some times only 1 hushpuppy . It's a tough thing to split. I have always enjoyed food and service at this Laguna. However, warning--and, hopefully, the place will heed this: bad drive-thru experience last night. The girl who took our order outside at about 8 on Friday night was incredibly efficient, just great. Then we waited about 25 minutes for our order which may be excusable being that it was late on Friday night. It appears that drive-thru customers are discriminated against, because if we had actually gone in and eaten, the experience would have been totally different--like waiting only maybe 10 minutes. And if I had received a fish sandwich inside, I could have easily complained that there was nothing on the bald tiny filet I received. The gumbo was very good. Please pay more attention to your drive-thru and don't stiff us when we discover the catastrophe once we get home.

Our visit was done through the drive thru. We ordered the fish sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, Mexican seafood plate, shrimp fettucinni and the fish and shrimp plate, fried pickles $65 total. The Mexican plate could have had another side. The fried pickles were soggy and very very salty. The batter was on the pickles it would slide off. We will never order those again. The fish sandwich was delicious and had the lettuce and tomato on the side. The crispy chicken sandwich was crispy and flavorful. The shrimp is grilled in the fettucinni my husband loves it and continue to order this. It comes with 1 side of garlic bread.

For a shrimp or should I say seafood fast food place, the food was good. Although they got our order wrong, the wrong order still made up for the mistake and we were compensated with free deserts, which was more than expected. I don't know what the order was, but it had shrimps and crab mix, bread and one crab ball or something, that was the highlight of the meal, never tasted anything like that before and I forgot to ask what it was. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely go back. Friendly and helpful staff too, Kylie or Karen; sorry forgot her name, was pleasantly helpful and friendly.

First time experience at Laguna Madre and was satisfied. Due to mix reviews, was uncertain as to expectations; however, food was on point and very affordable. Healthier options (grilled)than other comparable fast food. Don't expect Pappadeaux or Landry type meal for Captain D prices.

The food is okay. It’s typically the chicken tenders that come out better than the seafood. The breading was falling off and the batter didn’t have much flavor. All in all I’d give about a 6/10. It wasn’t something I’d crave more like something I’d settle for. My boyfriend really enjoys it, though.

I hate writing bad reviews but I wanted to draw attention to something. I came in with a friend and we sat nearby towards the front of the house. A tray of food came out from the kitchen and while we were waiting for our order to be called as we didn't want to assume it was ours. We noticed the food was sitting on the blue tray on the pickup counter. Someone came in with what appeared to be a Door Dash order and walked up to the counter hovering his phone over the food. Eww! Then a person walked up for a refill and as the gentleman retrieved his cup which was also reached over the food, the guy removed his lid with the straw from the cup over the food as well. Once the refill was done, the worker then again reached across the counter of food to return to the customer. The customer then bumps the tray of food to place his lid back on his cup and then walked back to his table. Smh! By then the worker realized the food needed to be taken out as he retrieved the tray of food and brought it right to our table! There's just so much traffic of customers right there as peoples orders are coming from the kitchen uncovered. We barely ate off of our order by the time it was delivered to our table because of what we witnessed with the constant exposure of people breathing and hovering right over our food for those few minutes.

I went through the drive thru on a Friday afternoon and paid 52.00 for a family order and was short one piece of fish, ordered the 8 pc and got 7. I ordered Mac n cheese instead of coleslaw and a small portion of green beans. I got coleslaw and no Mac n cheese and no green beans. I'm pretty upset with the entire order and service. Never again will I go there.

Fish was overcooked. Our coleslaw looked like straight mayo. They forgot our fries and found a hair in my cod. Our garlic bread was cold.... smh.. I'm sorry but not worth the money I spent. I won't be coming back.

But every single table that were empty they were dirty and no one cleaning them . I asked a worker and she called out for tables , and 5 mins went by and nothing and then went to a manager and her response came off rude and said I know they are going out there . And still nothing then I moved over the everything that was on a table included a mask that I’m assume a worker took off and left on the table . Then our food came out and we still never had the table clean. I got us and ask the same manager again and she said oh I thought it was clean cause you sat down 😑. I was like no it’s still not clean and I got tired of standing . The. Someone came to clean the table and before I can move he sprayed the table and sprayed me and my food and then I was done . Never had that much of a bad experience at this place and I’ve been to it many times since it’s by where I work at.

The drive through line wait time didn't help the situation. I figured it must be worth the wait. I was disappointed. Regular size calamari was not worth the price. Luckily everything else was ok although nothing to brag about.

For a $1 dollar up-charge, substitute mac&cheese for french fries, I got the 2 & 1/2 forkfuls of mac&cheese. Definitely NOT worth it. Other than that Laguna is one of the few fast food seafood places in San Antonio. So, since there aren't many options it's good for what you get. It's a related business to Bill Miller's , so some of the food is the same. If you stayed at Sea World till the end and you are starving, this place is usually less bust than MCDonald's or Bill Millers. Service is solid, but has the typical halfway interested teenager.

When I get home, I open my tacos and they were fish tacos not the shrimp that I had ordered. This place should really double check what orders they are handing out.

It’s like they have NO condiments when you go thru the drive thru. Even after they ask you if you want any and you tell them yes! Especially when they tell you to pull out and park in front to wait for your order. 🙄Going thru the Laguna Madre drive thru at 151 and West Over. Repeat the order drive up to the window to pay, then told to pull up to any parking spot in front. Someone carrys it out the order just drops it off and takes off while still getting no condiments and as usual wrong order. This place sux!

Fish was very greasy and made me sick 😫. Also salty I was very disappointed appointed especially for $15 .

What a sad state of disarray. We ordered three simple combos and were left in disbelief of how lousy the drive thru service was. Baked potato with no butter or cheese (certainly not loaded), all three fish orders and no tartar sauce or lemons in the bag and we had to wait an additional 4 minutes to ask them for our drinks they forgot. Bad, bad service.

I was trying to enjoy a birthday meal, but after waiting 15 mins for the store to finish my order, they forgot my 1 piece of cod from my #1 combos, and after getting over it, and continuing to try and enjoy the night, I get to the bottom of my plate to find a dead insect, and I can’t be any more serious when I say this brought disgust. After that I had to call the store, in which all they can say was sorry and they would replace my meals the next time I go in… I’m sorry but it’s going to be hard going back to that store when I barely eat at laguna madre!

Be aware I found a fish scale in my cod. I bit into my fillet felt an hard particle and immediately spit it out. It was the size of a dime, I have never experienced anything like this!! I let the manager know who thank me for letting her know and assured me she was going to check into this in the back? Not sure what that meant but just BE AWARE.

I went through the drive through and new employee didn't give me my dessert I paid for,the Manager on duty said she's new and she forgot.Well quality control isn't up to standards, retrain your employees and deliver upon your customers expectations.Simply telling me she's new and made a mistake and making me drive an hour to and from my house is unacceptable.You should refund your customers and not make it a inconvenience for them,I live 25 minutes away one way,so think about my time and gas money I'm in inheriting because of your employees lack of follow through.I don't have time to drive back to your business and waste valuable time.Hopefully upper management understands that it's Customer satisfaction and not Employee satisfaction that grows your business.

So annoyed. They got my order completely wrong and I had to drive back (30 min of back and forth driving) just for them to give me cold hard fries and burned onion rings. Never again!

The food is mediocre, the fried jalapenos are the worst I've ever had. Plain fried jalapenos and horrible. But the tea was good.

I went to this laguna madre and they made a couple of mistakes. First told the girl no ice on my drink and she put ice. Second I ordered a fish sandwich w no tartar sauce and they put tartar sauce on it. I ordered onion rings instead of fries and they gave me my onion rings but they put the lettuce and tomatoes on top of my onion rings and they got all soggy and nasty. I had to take off the tartar sauce out from my bread. Did not really enjoy my meal. I called twice and no answer. I just gave up on calling and made this review instead hoping they see it and respond to me

I used to really enjoy coming to Laguna Madre, but the quality of service has seriously gone downhill this year. On multiple visits, my order has been incomplete, and I’ve had to repeatedly go back and ask for the rest of my food. That’s basic service that shouldn’t be an issue. On top of that, the staff has been unwelcoming and inattentive, which makes the whole experience frustrating. It feels like there’s been a clear drop in standards compared to how this place used to operate. I can’t recommend coming here right now unless you’re prepared to double-check your order and deal with poor customer service from management and employees. I hope corporate addresses these issues soon.

Stopped in this restaurant. Ordered a fish sandwich plate. When you pay about $11, you think you get a little more fries. Does the picture look like a large order? But I guess you can expect that when you hire a bunch of after-school-program kids.

Great morning, Madelynn P R. I just want to make it clear that the customer service we experienced last night was truly disappointing. A bad experience sticks with a customer, and unfortunately ours did. From the start, the interaction felt rushed and unfriendly—no greeting, no smile, just straight to ordering. After we received our food, my husband found hair in both of his sides of fries. Mistakes happen, so he went to the front to let the staff know. What was frustrating was watching several employees stand around looking at the tray as if debating whether to just remove the hair instead of simply replacing the fries. As my husband continued to wait, the manager eventually approached him, and my husband decided to request a refund for his plate instead. He returned to the table and asked if I still wanted the tater sauce—which was the whole reason he walked up there in the first place. So he went back to the counter to request it, and this is where the experience got worse. Madelyn was laughing with a coworker, then turned to my husband with a flat “Yes?” instead of a proper greeting like “Hello, how can I help you?” Basic courtesy was missing. It wasn’t just us—based on what I observed, other customers seemed to be getting the same energy. Customer service matters, and last night it was nowhere to be found. I genuinely hope today is a better day for you, Madelynn P R, and that Laguna Madre treats you well moving forward so the experience improves for future customers.

Do better Westover hills, went through the drive thru pain for my meal, was asked to pull forward and wait for my meal. No problem, this was at 5:09 pm. Three other vehicles were asked as well to pull forward and park as well after me. Waited a 23 minutes to get my food, while the other 3 vehicles had received their meals and I was still waiting for my meal. It took me calling the store to get my cold meal

On 10/25 my drive through order was missing an item that I paid for. It wasn’t a big deal- a $2 cookie, so I mentioned it after ordering on 10/28. I showed my bank transaction to the manager who lacked even an ounce of professionalism or customer service. She told me she wouldn’t do anything about their mistake because I hadn’t called it in so that they could look up the receipt. So I called and told her over the phone about the missing item. I don’t even care about the silly $2 cookie but if I frequent a restaurant I’d like to get what I paid for. The managers name was Lisa Winters. She refused to correct their mistake and told me to call the main office! OMG! She gave me the wrong number to call. I am shocked that the restaurant would treat a frequent customer with such rude, angry, unpleasant behavior! Anyway, now I know what kind of people run this business. She acted like I was trying to steal her measly $2. Zero customer service. Hey corporate, y’all can do better.

This location doesn’t even deserve a star! Every time I have gone to this location my order is ALWAYS wrong! GROSS COLD NOT CORRECT FOOD!!! The managers are very careless and don’t take fault for their clear mistakes! AVOID. This location. Their answer to handle issues is call Corperate we don't care? Hense why the location never changes and improves! Free job free money and free careless attitude! Corperate HAS TO 100% TRAIN. This store! I don’t put reviews but I’m so fed up with this careless location! Get your manager Eugene M. Back into the training classes for customer service and for respect after he repeatedly 5 times, called me a girl when I clearly stated I was a man multiple times and talk about the person that felt uncomfortable!!! HORRIBLE PLACE!!! I’m sure corporate didn’t even know the way yall treat your customers!

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! If I could give negative rate I would!! Went to get a late dinner on our way home ordered a family fish and shrimp meal, 6 pc coconut shrimp and a side order of Onion rings. We got home took our food out the coconut shrimp was so burnt you couldn’t eat them our side order of onion rings were tossed in with the shrimp and were more raw onion than batter soaked in grease. I went to look at my Receipt and I got the receipt with no items just what I spent. Tried for thirty minutes between my husband and myself to reach someone with no answer just forever hold. At 9:00 the line were cut off. To add insult to all this the young lady at the window would be better served cleaning the bathrooms or tables cause her personality was about the worst I have ever dealt with and as friendly as a rock , and I’m being kind here!!! We were going to have them catering an up coming 80th celebration but we will never return and I will continue to share how bad the food and service was. $50 plus dollars I’m sure could be spent for better food and service!! Sad this is what Bill Miller/Laguna have become!! I’m sorry if you don’t like your job or can’t fake it please find another, life is to short to make ppl as miserable as you are. The manager on shift should be as responsible if not more. Do better Bill Miller/ Laguna Update: I spoke with the store Manager David and he was very apologetic for the situation and was happy to listen to my concerns. He was able to resolve the issues and we were content with the outcome. Thank you David for taking time to listen and address my issues
