From the moment I approached the entrance, the attention to a pleasant experience was unmistakably evident. Once seated, Marcy took excellent care of my every request. From the food presentation to its portion, all was perfectly done.
I really enjoy Bliss as do my guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant is joyful and positive. The staff appear to enjoy their jobs. And the food never disappoints.
I took a close friend to experience Bliss for the first time and Bliss was perfection. Hostess and bartenders were extremely welcoming. We were sat on time and had a great view of the kitchen. Brett our waiter was awesome from the second he introduced himself. The entire staff was extremely attentive the entire evening. Brett was so knowledgeable of every dish and introduced them in way, you wanted to try them all. We took his recommendations and had the perfect dinner. Tony the chef came to your table and was kind enough to send over a complimentary dish to taste (which was delicious). The entire evening was perfection, the food was mouthwatering, the atmosphere was perfect, it wasn't loud, it was pretty perfect. Brett and Tony...Thank you!!!! See you guys soon!
Bliss is everything you want in an upscale dining experience, refined without ever feeling stiff or pretentious. The service is warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, striking that perfect balance between professional and relaxed. The atmosphere feels elegant yet inviting, making it just as suitable for a special occasion as a memorable night out. The food is outstanding, beautifully executed dishes with bold, thoughtful flavors, and the wine pairings elevate each course in a way that feels intentional rather than showy. You can tell real care goes into both the menu and the overall experience. Bliss lives up to its name, exceptional cuisine, great wine, and a welcoming vibe that keeps you wanting to come back.
Lia was awesome and so kind, but everyone working was lovely and added to the ambiance. Food wise we loved everything, especially the grilled octopus and berry cake. The bliss spritz was also very refreshing. I thought the portions were very filling and worth to pay the add on to try the other items.
The service was really good, and our waitress Mary was incredibly helpful. Her recommendations made our first time dining at Bliss a great experience. Everything was enjoyable from start to finish. We will definitely be coming back again! Corn fritters and butter cake just delicious.
We had dinner at Bliss the other night, It was a weekday but the restaurant was still packed - which was a good sign. Our server was Lia. Lia did an outstanding job. We had looked at the menu online and we were pretty sure what we wanted to get, but Lia recommended the New York Strip. So, I go the New York Strip and the wife got the Redfish. The Redfish was very well prepared and definitely a do-over. The New York Strip was absolutely amazing. I do not say this lightly - it was probably the best steak I have enjoyed in my whole life. It was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and perfectly presented. The steak sauce was pretty darn amazing also. All in all, it was an amazing meal with amazing service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a nice dinner for two (or more) in a relaxed atmosphere with great food and great service!
Bliss is always my first stop when visiting San Antonio and has never let me down. Service is always warm and professional but last night, in particular, was superb. If you've never had a takeji dessert wine this is a great place to try it! Mine paired wonderfully with the chocolate dessert.
Such a lovely hidden gem in Southtown - so hidden that I’ve frequented the area for years and just found out about this spot hah! I am so glad I did too. This is a small, intimate dining atmosphere with modern interior and a curated menu that caters to seafood and elegantly crafted delights. I enjoyed everything I ate (they offered to change the amount of food in the starters so I could try a few of them!)
This restaurant has a special place in my heart ❤️ With private parking space, beautiful indoor and outdoor seating and excellent service, Bliss is one of my favorite restaurants for a romantic dinner in San Antonio. The menu is small but with enough options for an unforgettable dinner and their wine selection is extraordinary. I went for my dinner and it was an excellent birthday experience! Everyone loved their food and we got excellent service. You will never go wrong with Bliss restaurant, check out what we ordered!
My daughter and I had the pleasure of dining at Bliss for the first time on 5/8/25, and we were thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service and exquisite cuisine. Our server, Candace, was professional, knowledgeable and lovely, ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. We began with appetizers, including sashimi tostados and oyster sliders. The sashimi was remarkably fresh, with a delightful crunch, while the sliders featured a delicate biscuit and a fried oyster, which was an unexpected yet delicious twist. The beet salad was truly the pièce de résistance, with firm, sweet beets, acidic orange, walnut, and freshly ground pepper, all combining to create a dish that was nothing short of perfection! For our entrees, we opted for short ribs and a combination of red fish with parmesan polenta, as recommended by Candace. The short ribs were succulent, with bursting flavors, while the fish was moist, balanced, and featured a crispy skin that rivaled crackling bacon! We concluded our evening with a warm cup of coffee and a 20-year-old tawny port. Bliss has consistently demonstrated exceptional culinary expertise, and our experience was a testament to their enduring excellence. Thank you for being the "cherry on top" of our trip to San Antonio.
Absolutely impeccable experience. Hands down one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. The service was phenomenal, and everything we tasted was a 10/10 – the beet salad, shared ribeye, corn fritters, and cheesecake. Every bite felt thoughtful and elevated. The whole night felt like a Michelin-level experience. They made our anniversary feel truly special – couldn’t have asked for better.
It was really a great experience. We went there to have a family dinner because of recommendations. The food was so good we were dining outside, they give you blankets and the weather was pretty warm that day. The service was great, server was attentive and nice, asking how was the food and making sure we’re enjoying our meals. I would definitely go back and I recommend this place if you haven’t been here yet, one of the best restaurants in San Antonio!
Service was remarkable. Our server Lico was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Food was delicious. Smaller portions (think fine dining). The oyster sliders were incredible for an appetizer. The octopus was the best octopus I've ever had. The Pork and Beans as an entree special was the star of the show and the butter cake for dessert was out of this world. Would highly recommend.
Bliss … it’s the name and a good description of the experience. This time we only had appetizers and salad. The oyster sliders are incredible. Each component is fantastic and the combination is better than the sum of the parts. The problem with this place is you can’t eat it all in one visit - so we will be back.
Decided a little Bliss was in order to celebrate my birthday. This was a perfect way to kick off another year of taking in everything San Antonio has to offer. I had the tenderloin, he had the braised short ribs. Both were matched only by the potatoes with which they were served. Every bite was better than the last. We topped off the night with dessert, of course. The butter cake and chocolate bar... Goodness! The atmosphere and our server, Maricela made a lovely evening even better. Thank you, Bliss for a wonderful birthday experience.
This restaurant was a very nice experience. From the customer service to the food there was nothing I could complain about. At first the parking situation did put me off but I'd happily would've walked a mile to get to that restaurant. I started with the Arugula salad, had braised short ribs as a main course, and ended with the butter cake. The staff was incredibly attentive but not so much that they were overbearing. It was such a nice relaxing place to enjoy your food and the people you went with. It really was pure bliss.
Such an amazing restaurant! I put down the reason for our reservation was our anniversary, and the waiter congratulated us on our anniversary and even put a candle on our desserts for us to blow out and celebrate! It was a small detail but it made our visit so personal and intimate. Our waiter was also very good at making sure all of our questions were answered and helped us chose wines to pair with our main courses. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try amazing food with a great atmosphere! Review of the food: -We had the arugula salad and charred octopus for our appetizers and they were both DELICIOUS! I’ve never liked octopus until I had theirs! It was so tender and perfectly seasoned! The arugula salad came with dried figs and they were such a great addition to the appetizer and gave it a sweet note to the peppery arugula. -We ordered the braised beef short ribs and scallops for our main course and they were just as amazing! The scallops were buttery and so well cooked, and the ribs were so tender and juicy! The ribs came with buttery mashed potatoes and mushrooms that were pan fried to perfection! The scallops came with cooked spinach and grits that were seasoned perfectly as well! For dessert we had the butter cake and chocolate bar and it was a perfect end to our date! The chocolate bar was rich and smooth with mousse and some sea salt sprinkled on top to make the dark chocolate flavor pop, and it came with a scoop of coffee ice cream as a palette cleanser for when the chocolate cake got too rich. The butter cake was like an apple pie cake and came with a scoop of ice cream on top which made it the most warm and cozy dessert to enjoy!

Excellent all around experience. Service was as great as the food. One of the best dining experiences in the city. Highly recommended.
Doesn't get any better than this for a Five Star Meal ! . I had the Short Rib and started with asian Tostitos and corn fritters. Don't miss the Butter cake at the end!
Bliss is always amazing! Their charcuterie is one of the best in SA. Our favorites are the red fish and the scallops. If you are visiting this is a must try.

Went to Bliss on a recent visit to San Antonio. My friend who has always lived there was excited to take me to Bliss. It happened to be restaurant week, so there was a prix fixe 3 course meal choice. Unlike any other restaurant week I have enjoyed, there was an up charge on most of the entree choices and some of the appetizers, indicating a bit of laziness on the part of the kitchen and management. There was also a rule against one person ordering from the regular menu and the other having the prix fixe. As a result my companion had great difficulty getting accommodation as a pescatarian. The intro period was fraught, as the server became very impatient very quickly and then came to the table infrequently. Her demeanor was rude and dismissive. Another server tried to be kind and compensate, but this created more confusion rather than less. Despite the service and inflexibility, the food was outstanding. Raw oysters with thoughtful accompanying sauces. A stellar short ribs. An amazing dessert. All told I loved the food but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
I enjoyed the overall experience. We ate outdoors which was hot but made it possible to get in on our schedule, so we didn't mind. They kept us well hydrated with cold water. The service was attentive and pleasant from the hostess to our server to all who supported the server in bringing out food. The appetizers were creative and visually appealing though the flavors of the oysters and hamachi didn't stand out very much. The bacon/pork belly(?) bits were my favorite part I think. The short ribs and mashed potatoes were delicious but the mushrooms seemed to have too strong of a flavor and I didn't appreciate the horseradish in the sauce but that's my personal preference. My friend found it delightful. For dessert, the butter cake was lovely both in flavor and presentation. I'd definitely like to have a full portion next time (I tried my friend's). The lavender cheesecake was pleasant. I don't usually enjoy flower flavors, but I enjoy cheesecake, blueberry and lemon curd, so I decided to risk it. The presentation was delightful, the lavender didn't dominate, but the cheesecake flavor didn't pop for me, so it was good but not great for me. Really a pleasantly situated restaurant with many highlights. I will say, I regretted not tipping more. I was a bit rushed and calculated slightly low for what I think was warranted for the situation and experience. Still well over "minimum" but just didn't think it through, so apologies to the servers on that.
The staff was wonderful and so patient. We had many questions and they were quick while being able to be thorough on their responses. All the food was quite different in flavor with different textu…

We celebrated my birthday at Bliss with the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairing. The 7 course meal was fine overall some good moments, but nothing particularly memorable or exciting. The wine pairing was decent, though it didn’t really elevate the experience. The atmosphere was very average and didn’t feel special. What truly stood out, though, was our server attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely great, which definitely helped the evening. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing sparkly or standout that would make it a must-return spot for special occasions
