Good for on the go. Never have to wait too long even if it’s busy. Chicken is always good, not dry. Can order a gallon of their delicious sweet tea. And the price is right! Especially on Tuesdays. Good sub for when you don’t have time to cook.

Really good food. Very southern/homestyle flavor which is great. Also the price is really nice with good drink sizes. Me and my wife will split one of the tender meals and get an extra drink for all under $8 and it totally fills us up. Such great food, can't wait to go back.

This location was SUPER BUSY but the Manager, as well as her staff, handled it exceptionally well for being short of staff. I only know this because I heard the manager explain it to an irate (ENTITLED) man whose order wasn't ready the second he walked in. Food was fantastic and hot! Well done!

We come to this location pretty frequently and have never encountered any issues however on one of our recent visits, they forgot a few items. We called in and Eric got us squared away with making it right. Eric was super understanding and made our experience here very pleasant. We will be returning.

I keep forgetting to write this review as it happened a few months back but I had just got braces in the day before and all I could eat was soft food. I went to order mashed potato’s, fries, and Mac and cheese. The owner happened to be taking my order and jokingly asked if I was hungry. I was starving and in so much pain. He had no idea the pain I was in but he took real good care of me that day. Thank you sir, I always come back to this location.

Went to Bush's Chicken at 10603 Huebner Road on a Sunday night (7/21) at nearly closing time (9.40pm). Figured employees were tired and wanted to go home and likely not friendly. I was totally wrong! Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome, even at that late time. I especially want to call out DEANO for providing excellent service with a smile, making sure our order was fresh, and even offering to wait until we were about to leave to prepare the take-away portion of our order. He was an outstanding example of what a service employee should be. Bush's is lucky to have him. Give that man a raise!

Food was fresh and hot. The young lady who helped me was very pleasant and spent a few seconds talking to me. It was nice to actually speak with a person who wasn't in a hurry to take my order and just do a job. Was very pleasant in getting me another soda when I placed a order again.

Bush's food, service, and atmosphere are always at the same top-notch level of good. The crust is always crispy and fresh. The fresh chicken is always well-done and warm, and their Diet Coke always has the same great taste and carbonation.

Admittedly, I went here with very low expectations. I've always considered this place on the lower end of the fast food spectrum, but I was very pleasantly surprised today. The place was clean, I was immediately welcomed, and the food was great. You could tell that the staff was well trained and seemed happy to be there. I will definitely be back. I got four wings, green beans and dinner roll, and three jalapeños. Had half sweet half unsweetened tea to drink. Amazing you get four whole wings which is equivalent to 8 wings at some of these other wing stores a lot less expensive and bigger portions it seems. Well worth the price.

I ordered a breast and thigh, and got a leg and wings. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Slow service inside and if the cashier had been quicker, I would have gotten what I ordered. The folks taking orders in the drive thru were on top of their game. I prefer to eat inside, but there's a penalty to pay if you don't drive thru. 😔

I love love gizzards. And I had not found anywhere gizzards as this delicious. They were soft and chrispy l. Omg they were amazing. Chicken was very crispy and delicious The rolls are so good ss well. Go try the gizzards if you like them. You won't be disappointed.

I opted for some fast food, and it so happens that chicken fingers were on the mind, and I decided to visit Bush's chicken at this location. Parking was easy to find. I went inside and was promptly greeted by one of the service staff. They answered my questions and were very professional, friendly, and courteous. The food is always good and tasty. I decided to have green beans as my side with my meal. I don't think you can go wrong here when you get your food at Bush's. They've have a good thing going and I just hope you're experience as good as mine.

This is by far the best Bush’s Chicken is SA. The customer service is outstanding. Everyone is so freakin and nice. I spoke to Elijah the Assistant Manager on duty and had to give him kudos to him and his team. The chicken is always fresh and dinning room is always clean. UPDATE... Okay I can now say this chicken and I go way back LOL. Super crispy outside tender juicy inside. Usually piping hot. The fries. I always ask them for fresh hot fries because they are the way they should be! I know one of these days I'm going to order that baked chicken because it looks really good and I intend to when I walk up to the counter and when they ask me for my order I forget all reason and order the fried Chicken. Also hooked on the fried gizzards. Don't laugh and don't judge. And for those who love carbs, It's tempting to ask to buy a whole tray of those rolls! UPDATE.. Still at the top of my chicken list. Ordered TENDER TUESDAY. Tenders, gravy n rolls. You can eat 2-3 more meals out of this box. All for under $30. Can also dice up left overs and add to other meals (pasta, rice, veggies). my boyfriend & i have been coming here & making this place apart of our sunday's for about a month ! the service is friendly & speedy. the food is always fresh and hot. the cooks are always busy and you can smell everything as its ready. food isnt sitting at the counter long under the hot lights which you can definitely taste bc everything is fresh! the restaurant is clean and when someone finishes dining, staff is quick to come and clean to have it ready for more costumer's. the lady at the front counter on sundays is very friendly and always happy to answer questions and give recommendations. we would love to see a app , or even a punch card for costumer's that frequent often.

They come out and take your order then bring your food to you at the car. They sometimes get pretty busy. I usually go to the one on huebner. Their workers have always been friendly.

I arrived about 20 minutes before closing. I was greeted immediately by the manager (Divid) and an employee. I was asked if the order was for here or to go. To go, I replied. I told the manager that I didn't want to hold the employees over after the restaurant closed. He told me that I was more than welcome to stay. This really made me feel welcome. I ordered the three piece meal with all breasts, mashed potatoes, and a Coke. My order was completed quickly. As I waited, I noticed that the last inspection score was 100 %. This is a clean and welcoming place to visit. I'll definitely be back.

We always do drive thru & they have a good set up where you order in either lane. Employee comes to take order. Mostly it's delish, but now & again it's not an accurate order. Check before you drive away!! When the chicken is good, it's very, very good! Super crispy. Gotta have fried okra! Ask for fresh gissards if you like them, & always wait for them. May be a wait but you want only fresh. This location far superior to Bandera/ Eckhert location, which is close but has bad service & mediocre food.

The food is great but they really need to have some specials besides Tuesday. If you are feeding 3 or more it's down right expensive. I love me some Bush's and can't get it without sweet tea and rolls. Yum them delicious rolls!! Why you gotta charge so much? I'd eat there daily if you would lower prices or make a daily special.

The manager who was at the cashier was busy talking to employee didn't even acknowledge I was there. " A one moment please." Nothing. I waited maybe 4 minutes or so before he acknowledged me. Only reason why I waited because I promised my family Bush's Chicken.

You don't order from a box when in drive through. They have staff to take your order when you drive up. They are courteous and helpful and you breeze through the line. Chicken is good, got tenders and they have fried okra which is one of my favs. On Tuesday you can get the special of 12 tenders for 12.99. Not bad if you need a quick dinner.

First time visiting! Happy to see liver/ gizzards on the menu! They don't know how to bread/coat and cook the liver! The coating was falling off, some pieces were old mixed with fresher pieces of liver. The workers were kind and friendly.

This was my first time trying this Fried Chicken. I would give the Chicken 5 stars; very crispy on the outside and tender and juicy in the inside. I got a 1 pc meal and it was filling. The Mac N' Cheese was bland, I didn't care for it but I'd definitely come back and order another side!

Good food special Tender Tuesday for under $20

For the most part the chicken is great. I prefer this over KFC. I always get the family meal to take home. HOWEVER, if you get it to go, check your order before leaving. This is about the 5th time my order was messed up. Usually the order is all potatoes and no gravy or all gravy and no potatoes, but this time rolls were MIA.

My some got the iconic 4 piece tender meal with mashed potatoes he devoured it with the soft roll. The service was great the cashier super nice super attentive. Little music and some sports on the TV. Clean dining area. I would return again.

Chicken tenders were okay, but ordered regular ice tea. Please check your order before you drive off. I didn't realize until I got home that they gave us sweet tea.

Went there before work and the staff was nice, however it was during the lunch rush. So obviously they were busy and rushing. No issue there. However, when i got my order I rechecked when i got to work to see that I got the butt end of the bag for chicken. Super thin, tiny and very dry. Called to speak to a manager, said they could fix it at no charge Very nice about it, showed up later that day and explained what happen. Staff was super nice. But again, I got my order failed to check and I still got the butt end of the bag chicken. I'm too flustered at the fact that I was duped twice. I paid 9$ for 4 tenders and got tiny strips that were dry as heck. Pros: staff is great Cons: paying WAY too much for scraps.

Inside restaurant took 3 mins to get acknowledged. No line to order. Cashier took order wrong. Manager had to corrected after I had repeated my order to cashier 3 times. Until I got rcpt notice she added something I didn't order.

Service was quick and friendly, the portions were large but wasn't impressed with the prep. Either a bit overcooked or maybe just their style but I'll pass next time

I used to love the food at this location but over the last year, the quality has been significantly poor. It’s over priced, underprepared and orders don’t be correct. The last two times I’ve gotten food there, I’ve had to call because something was wrong.

We have ordered the 30 tender family meal for years here and it has gotten progressively worse and more expensive. It’s at least $15 more than when we first started coming here and their tenders have turned into nuggets. This last batch of “tenders” were literally the size of McDonald’s chicken nuggets. So I just paid $52 for what costs about $9 at McDonald’s. The price has gone up almost 50% and the size of the tenders has gone down about 60%. Probably not coming back here again.

I visited in April and it seems their food has gone down hill; as many companies do after several years of being open. Not only did the chicken taste different it was also dry and the fried okra was cold. I have never had a problem with customer service and they have always been quick at getting me my order. I probably will not be going back, only because this is now the 3rd time that the food was either dry or cold but decided to give them another chance. Good while it lasted. Bush's, your food was excellent when you first opened this location; don't know what happened.

I am very disappointed at this location today; my family and I live close by, so we frequent this location often. I've never felt so undervalued as a customer. I visited the restaurant for lunch and arrived at 1:30 pm. There were 3 cars already waiting, one car was waiting to get their food and the other two were waiting for their order to be taken. After the two cars' orders were taken, the staff reentered the restaurant. A black GMC suv pulled up, and right a pickup truck pulled up with a trailer. I should have been the next order taken, but the staff person immediately went to the GNC, took their order, and went back into the restaurant. The second staff member came out and went straight to the pickup truck and didn't look my way. At this point, I was getting ready to drive away; but I figured it would take me longer to find another place to and make it back to work from lunch on time. The time now is 1:40pm. When the staff returned, they brought out the GNC food, and the next staff member headed to another pickup truck that just pulled up. I yelled to the staff member and asked him why he didn't you take my order? I was here before both of the vehicles who just left with food; the staff member offered no resolution. I asked for the manager; he asked me to move up, and I said no, not until I spoke with a manager. He left and went back into the restaurant. After a couple of minutes, he returned and told me the managers were unavailable at the moment, which further made me upset. A moment later, the manager came walking out and approached my truck. The manager was very apologetic and expressed empathy for the situation, which I appreciate. She offered me a 20% discount off my order, which not worth the inconvenience and lack of customer service her staff exhibited. Now I'm worried about ordering food because I complained, she assured me that I didn't have to worry about that, because she was going to put the order together. I agreed to her resolution. After receiving my food, she offered me a discount for my next visit, but I declined. I'm not sure if I will return to this location or Bush's overall.

I arrived 10 minutes late to pick up my to go order and was shocked to see it wasn’t even started yet. What made the wait worse was the stinky stench inside the restaurant. It smells like vomit which ruined my appetite. Maybe it’s the fried gizzard or liver but this place definitely needs an air freshener. The chicken, fries and bread rolls were all public school cafeteria quality. I will not be entering this restaurant again until it smells better.

Cashier was great, food was just mid. Couldn’t switch out fries for a different side because it was a special, what does that matter? All your sides are one price on the menu, no one wants those nasty fries. Tea had a weird flavor. Haven’t been to a bush’s in a long time, looks like I wasn’t missing anything special. Probably will x them off my list of fast food restaurants.

If your planning on getting fresh food for your family after work do not stop. I have to request fresh cook items when I stop to order. Today 1.26.2024 was not worth the stop! The food was so old no picture.

Customer service has gone way down. Rude workers outside. One employee talked to her friends/family for 5 mins til she finally managed to see me n helped. Went another time & the guy was talking to another customer for a bit then came over & to help. I had to wave him down to help, then when he did come over to help, he was rude, no hello or anything. How do you even call this a chicken tender, literally all my chicken tenders are this size. I tried to call restaurant and nobody answers. Then tried to call corporate and nobody answers and voicemail is full. Horrible service and rip off when it comes to chicken

I pulled up and there was 1 vehicle waiting I was there for about 5 min then another car pulled up after me withing a min the car that pulled up after was helped and I still had not been. The girl that was working went inside and didn't come back out. I waiting almost another 5 min to be helped. I've worked in customer service for over 10 yrs so I get being under staffed and issues but you need to pay attention to customers and the order they come in. I've come to this location multiple times and never had this issue. Definitely something to work on.

Dear Mr. Bush’s Chicken, I am a white woman in America. I didnt receive my chicken tender rolls in rolls as ordered. YOU GAVE ME TWO TENDERS AND ONE ROLL THAT WERE NOT IN SANDWHICH FORM. Food is good. Food was fresh. This is not why I’m giving this a low rating. Not complaining about that. It’s the customer service today. During these times the lines get long, like in traffic long. When it was my time to order, I pulled up to make space for other customers so they wouldn’t impede traffic. Upon me doing so, I’m sure all the outside attendants watched me do it. Now I’m sure each attendant is assigned to a line. My attendant totally ignored me. When I told him what happened, he told me it was my fault. I explained what I did and totally blew me off and kept proceeding to other cars. Seeing my outrage another attendant respectively took my order. The customer service received here today almost shoving me because 90% of the time they do a good job. Waited 12 mins before my order was even taken.

Employees forgot my sides and forced me to drive 30 minutes again to their restaurant. Train your employees to double check before just serving a order. Now my food is cold, fries are stalled and the only thing hot is the mac and cheese/mash potatoes that I had to go back for. 45 dollars for terrible service and cold food.

Chicken breast and chicken livers were both so overcooked we literally could not eat them. They were drier than jerky. What a terrible experience. With price of food it's UNPROFESSIONAL to not provide EVERYTHING charged and paid for. Had long wait on order only to be given COLD OKRA. Called immediately once home and rude person asked for some number in receipt when we live ion 3 rd floor and receipt was in truck.

What is the point of order ahead. My meal was supposed to be ready to go ten minutes now and they still haven't even taken my name to ask what I'm here for. There were only two other people in front of me and the person ahead of me their order wasn't ready so I'm sure mine is not ready either. Review for latest visit 10/20/24 we went to bushes to buy a meal for the family upon checking in with their bushes rewards and drive-through I placed my order cause I had a coupon for by one Mail get one free I waited 10 minutes for an order and the employee came out and told me that the manager said that they don’t participate in the bushes rewards and then I wasn’t going to get my free mail I told him well then why do you have the QR code up to check-in up on your menu board outside and on the inside and he told me if you want to speak to the manager you can but he’s not gonna change his mind you’re not getting your meal free so I just told him give me back my card I’ll go to another bushes and I did and they honored the one in Leon Valley but I will never go back to the one on Fredericksburg and Huebner Mgr. there is very rude as well as employees employees . Also. DON’T bother going on Tender Tuesday- strips are cold and hard. Fries are old sometimes too.

Went there today for lunch. My wife has cancer treatments in the area every week. We stop there afterwards every time. Has always been friendly staff and good food. Today was a horrible experience. The manager( I am not sure because the gentleman would not give me his name or title). was having a problem with an employee and handled himself in a not very professional manner. He escorted the employee outside in a very rude manner. The gentleman came back inside and was bragging to his employees about what went on like a big shot and disrupting everyone's lunch. The employee re entered the restaurant and the manager was once again very loud and causing a seen and shoved the employee. The police were called and they escorted employee out. Manager once again loudly talking to customers and employees about what was going on. When me and my wife were leaving I approached manager and let him know I thought he handled the situation totally wrong and ruined everyone's lunch. He disagreed very rudely and took no responsibility for his actions. Asked him his title with company and he would not say what it was. I told him we would not be coming back ever again and his response was he didn't care! Then we exited building and waited to speak with officer to let them know what happened. Once he realized we were going to speak with officers and let them know what really happend he came out and started to give my wife a hard time and running his mouth to her. Very disappointed in Bush's chicken for employing such and individual. So everyone please do not go to this location and spend your money with a business that would employee such an individual and could care less if you are there!!

Went to get my children a chicken strip meal and they forgot my family fry when I called to try to get refunded or get my order replaced the manager Elijah straight up told me no! He had me cancel my transaction and he still charged me for the strips now I’m out double for 2 to 3 business days I’ll never come back to this location. The strips sucked they weren’t even fresh.

Food is ok, but only one star due to dishonesty. They need to stop charging the service fee that only appears when you see your receipt. Service fee FOR WHAT? There's no signage anywhere, and they don't tell you that either. I've mentioned it to them a few times, and even the management just gives a blank stare.

A guy with a messed up goatee in red told me it was going to be 5 minutes to the order to be ready. 10 minutes later i asked again but this time i asked the manager on the floor but then to guy with the messed up goatee in red said it was going to be 5 minutes which is crazy to me because they not busy they don’t even have a line outside or inside the building or customer inside for them to be this slow. It took 20 minutes in total for them to finish the order
