I know what you're thinking, my West Coast friend--"Craft beer in TEXAS??" Why, yes indeed! If nowhere else in the San Antonio area, you'll for sure find it here. Now, if only they would open one on the south east side of San Antone... Just went back last night and the food is even better (it seems)! We're going back more often!

Took a spontaneous night road trip to San Antonio for some good grub and brews. I used to visit Flying Saucer Houston when I lived there and San Antonio's location has blew me out of the water with how fresh and fried to perfection their wings are. Got them tossed in a mix of Garlic Parm & Buffalo. When I tell you I was soring in flavor land and the juiciness of the chicken wings, I'm not even lying. 100/10 would recommend this flavor combo & location for the best wings. Beer was great too but DAMN THEM WINGS. Couldn't even get a before picture because I couldn't stop myself from devouring them.

The Flying Saucer is a wonderful place for grabbing Beer & Food. The wide selection of Drafts is what caught my eye initially but they do have canned & bottled beer as well. No liquor. Staff was all around friendly & consistently checked on us throughout the night. This time around we had Rachel as our waitress outside & she did great! On Mondays they do have $4 any Draft & that alone is reason enough for me to return to this place!

Hundreds of beers to choose from and they run specials every week. Dog friendly patio allows anyone to enjoy a few beers with their 4 legged family members. So far everything that I have tried off of the food menu has been fantastic as well. Love this place!

We loved this place before COVID, now it’s even better. There is plenty of outdoor seating that is socially distanced. The waitresses are very attentive and the food is great. There is a large variety of beer and the prices aren’t bad. It’s the perfect Friday night atmosphere.

Food was great. Family of 5 and we had the wings were amazing and a pizza. All of it was great and the service was good. It was a quieter night and close to closing time but we didnt feel rushed or anything. Kids played chess and some of the other board games they had and we had a wonderful time after a long day of touring the city. If I ever find myself back in San Antonio I would definitely visit Flying Saucer for another round of beers and wings.

My husband and I are loyal customers at Flying Saucer and been coming since 2006. Recently, there was an opportunity to attend their special Juneteenth dinner, prepared by chef Lawrence(Stink) and his mom Joy. 5 course full course meals were absolutely delicious and paired well with craft beers. Our amazing waitresses took the best care of us! We enjoyed meeting people, who love beer, extraordinary food, stories, and laughter! Looking forward to the next special event!

Love this place. They always have some sort of sale and it's perfect on trying new drafts. The girls all are knowledgeable so dont be afraid to ask for opinions. They never disappoint. The food is good as well. The patio outside is really nice and pet friendly! Friendly staff. We go every week. Absolutely recommend.

Flying Saucer is a wonderland for beer enthusiasts. With too many beers on draft to count, there's something new to try each time I visit. The crowd is chill, the food is delish (try the bratwurst), and they offer a variety of specials throughout the week. The service is always good- whether you're at the bar or being served at a table. Check it out if you haven't.

Awesome beer selection and a very nice food menu. The Marsellus Wallace burger is highly recommended. Can't go wrong with $4 Texas beers for a Sunday special.

I went there because of the ratings it had. I was not disappointed....the place was packed...perhaps 80 people...and despite it being so full...service was superb...i went to the bar to get what i call " super fast service "(i hate waiting for beer🤣🤣)...and right away i was given 1 of like 60 selections they had on tap...i was in beer heaven😍😍... I also ordered food from the bar...lady said 30 minutes cause of line...i said OK...8 minutes later my food was at the table...i was blown back by the expediency of service... Food was delicious for the price point...ambience was very good...i highly highly recommend this pub n grill...just a slice of awesomeness!! Mike

The food was great, relatively cheap too $8-13 a plate on average. The beer/wine was a little high though. One glass of wine for me was $8.50 and most of the beers were also $8 each. But the atmosphere is very nice, with lots of tvs playing sports, trivia nights, etc.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium – Great Time in San Antonio with My Son Visited the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in San Antonio, Texas with my son Chris, and we had an excellent time. The beer selection is top-notch—plenty of local and craft options to explore, and the staff was happy to make recommendations. We each found a few new favorites. The food really surprised us—delicious, fresh, and served hot. It paired perfectly with the beers and made for a satisfying meal. The vibe was laid-back and friendly, with a lively local crowd that made us feel right at home. Service was great from start to finish—attentive, cheerful, and quick. A perfect spot to enjoy good food, great beer, and quality time in San Antonio. Definitely worth a visit.

Been a regular for years and had a bad experience one night, called and Jeff the mgr apologized…i came back a month later and spoke with Jeff, himself and the barkeep Fish took great care of me even when they were busy during chili cook off…this place means a lot to me and my brother as he has a plate there and we have had some great memories there…Jeff and Fish, thank you so much for your concern and help, Beer Knurd for life!!!

They have a great selection of beers and hard ciders. We aren't even beer drinks but we found a cider that we had to take a picture of to remember for later. She had the Reuben with the jalapeño-kraut and it was delicious! He had the turkey burger that was amazing! This is a place is definitely on our "Return To" list!!

I ordered the Reuben-Esque, it’s a Reuben sandwich really good, lots of flavor, if you like this type of food you’ll love this place, good beer selection and prices are regular, so not so expensive as others, aaaand music is good, good atmosphere

My wife and I have been coming to this spot for a while now—usually for the solid food and great beer lineup—but this time we came for trivia too, and it was packed. We hit up their Twilight Trivia night on Thursday, July 24 at 6 PM, and I don't think I've ever seen the place this crowded. There were 55 teams playing. No joke. Thankfully we showed up early around 5, grabbed a table, and settled in before the chaos. The trivia host, Chris (not Seth), was friendly, clear, and kept things moving without being annoying or over-the-top—big win. It was busy, but the vibe stayed laid back. Staff handled it well. Our server, Nella, was fantastic—super patient, kind, and upfront about what was in stock and what wasn’t. That goes a long way. Beer selection is always top-notch. Rotating taps, cans, bottles, ciders, seltzers; whatever your thing is, they've probably got it (except the spirits). I’m a fan of the $5 beer deals: Texas drafts on Sundays, everything on draft is $5 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Hard to beat that. They’ve also got a cool setup with plates on the ceiling honoring people who’ve tried 200+ beers. It’s that kind of place: local, fun, no pretense. The food holds its own too. We’ve never had a bad meal here, and the kitchen turns out solid lunch specials during the week. On weekends, you might catch some live music, and the menu shifts a bit during football season to fit the mood. Speaking of football, this place is made for it. Tons of screens, great energy, and easy to settle in for a few hours. Bottom line: this is the kind of bar you come back to. Whether you're in the mood for trivia, beers, burgers, or just a chill night out, this place delivers. We’ll definitely be back, again and again.

Tasty food, excellent beer selection. Great service too! They have trivia night on Tuesday.

This is a really good craft biergarten. I always thought it was a chain, but stand corrected. The beer selection is really good and the food is classic biergarten fare. Wife and I usually split the Beerfeast Board (app w/pretzel, brat, queso that feeds 3-4) and share. Today we got the Sunday special, Honey Dipped Chicken w/red skinned mashed potatoes. Also, all Texas beers are on sale! On our previous visit, we had a pretty inattentive waitress and the manager stepped in, apologized, and made a sub. She was over tasked and he recognized/fixed. Now that we've been here 4 or 5 times (not a chain...), I'm changing my previous 4 to a 5. Great spot to grab a beer, sit outside, and the food is really good as well.

J
J. R. Fernandez

Great rotation of beers! I check Untappd and come in a few times a month to have what's new. I'm a big fan of stouts and they always have a solid selection, whether it's on tap or bottles/cans. The beertenders are always awesome!

G

One of the greatest places to get food, snacks, hang out with friends, and most importantly craft beer! Great craft beer selection, the beer menu is always refreshed biweekly, bringing so many great and fresh selections to try.

J

We really went here for the beer and to be honest, we figured we’d get a mediocre meal but still enjoy ourselves. For this reason, I ordered a Rueben. It’s my fallback because I’ve had great ones and I’ve had terrible ones, but even the bad ones I can eat without too much disappointment. We were quite pleasantly surprised. The sandwich, as well as the food my wife ordered and my daughter ordered was all definitely above average. Listen, it’s not gourmet-5-Star-cloth-napkin dining, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting from a pizza place so we’ll known for their beer taps. Speaking of beer: if you’re into IPAs, you gotta try the Crash Pad DIPA if they have it on tap when you visit. The head is thick and relentlessly foamy but it rises ABOVE the glass leaving plenty of room for your full beer. Don’t wait for the foam to dissipate because it won’t! It’s like a wispy, beer flavored meringue.

The Flying Saucer is my favorite pub/bar if you can it that. Im not into sports and don't like cigarettes. They have the occasional sports game on TV, but the Flying Saucer is calm most the time and cigarette free inside. Tuesday nights is Trivia night, you can win a free bar tab. Wednesday night is glass night, breweries sometimes show up and give glasses with the purchase of their beers. Monday is pint night, anything on draft is on sale, and Sunday is Texas beer night. They also have hassle-free wifi, a dog friendly patio, and outdoor heaters for when it gets cold. The beer menu cycles seasonally and the food menu is revised every so often. The draw is not just the specials each night, and the beer club, but the fact that the food is actually restaurant quality food. I don't mind sitting down and eating dinner at the Flying Saucer. My favorite item is the Veggie Burger or (Hippie Burger) with a meat patty substitution. This probably sounds nuts.. but the vegetarian burger comes with a pesto mayo, red onions, sliced cucumbers, tomato, and toasted bun. When you put a meat patty in this burger its just amazing, and there's nothing else on the menu like it. For side dishes my favorite is the rocket tots, which are tater tots with cheese and peppers in them. My 2nd & 3rd favorite entrees are the Big Dipper which is a french dip sandwich, and the Buffalo wings with ranch and carrots. Service is excellent and the food is consistently great. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. If you do have a problem ask for management, or submit a report on their website. They will make it right. The Flying Saucer is the ultimate in customer service. Over the years Ive had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know many of the managers, waitresses, and kitchen staff. Everyone has always been friendly. Its a great place to hang out, dine, drink, and play trivia..

Flying Saucer in San Antonio is my new happy place—and not just because they have more beer options than my fridge has condiments. The food is awesome, the staff is super chill, and trivia night? Pure gold. It’s like Jeopardy, but with pretzels, beer, and people yelling across tables. The questions are the perfect mix of “I totally knew that!” and “Did I black out during that entire season of The Office?” My team may not win often (okay, ever), but we leave with full stomachs, slightly bruised egos, and dreams of sweet, sweet revenge next week. 10/10 recommend—come for the drinks, stay for the trivia-induced identity

You can always count on Flying Saucer for two things...great beer selections and delicious food. Oh and the staff are always super-friendly and helpful if you can't quite decide on what to try. Foods I recommend are the Reuben-esque and the San Miguel Burger. These two are my go-to choices and you won't be disappointed. For those watching their figure, the Chicken Cobb is delicious too. They have an awesome dog-friendly patio as well.

Everyone was happy with our first visit here. The soft pretzel was the best! Perfect spicy mustard or cheese sauce to dip it in. We also had the Saucer burger and fries, the picnic platter and the kids had a cheese pizza. I've never had a purple cheese (from the picnic platter), but it was delicious! It was really busy as Tuesday is trivia night, but our waitress was great and kept up with everything. Sat out on the patio and with the fans blowing hard, it wasn't unpleasant. We will definitely go back. Side note: I ate a few fries before taking the picture lol

The Flying Saucer is a favorite of ours. With over 200 beers to choose from there’s a little something for every taste bud. If you go, you must order the chips and queso and Buffalo saucer wings. The absolute best! This is a great place for a first date or a group of friends meet up. Did I mention they are dog friendly?! If you’re in the area it’s a place to hit up. Ooooh my gosh!! This place is a favorite, and I drive from Austin! Aside from having a fairly wide selection of various beers, the FOOD is SO GOOD!!!! We got the Beerfest Board with two pretzels, brats, sauerkraut, and queso; that feeds 4, and it was perfect! The Saucer Bratzel, Club, Bleu Burger, and Saucer Burger were all so delicious, juicy, and filling!! This place is a MUST!!

Why have we not been here before? Brought the dogs because they have great outdoor seating. Ran into several other patrons that were enamored with our Rhodesian Ridgebacks and had great conversations. NEW FRIENDS!!! The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. We put our beer flight orders in the hands of Aubrey. Had several and she nailed each and every one! Thank you Aubrey, you are an asset to this place. The Cheese Fries Surprise were delicious. And the San Miguel was top notch. We absolutely enjoyed our lunch here. We have found a great regular spot. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Go here for trivia every Tuesday, so much fun and great host that engages the crowd. Food is amazing (except that they took off the black and blue sandwich 😭), it’s never been a let down or badly prepared. The Flying Saucer at Huebner Oaks deserves every one of these five stars. I ordered the German Platter, and it was hands-down one of the best meals I’ve had in San Antonio. The tomatoes absolutely stole the show — bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced against the tangy sauerkraut and creamy potato salad. The schnitzel was textbook perfect — tender, crisp, and beautifully emulsified. I was surprised how well the guacamole and hummus complemented the whole spread; it added a fresh twist that tied everything together. This spot nails German comfort food with a Texas flair. It’s officially my go-to place for authentic German dishes done right. Highly recommend!

Flying Saucer is an amazing restaurant and pub. So many beers on tap, delicious food and the service has been amazing for the ten plus years I've been coming out on Tuesday nights for trivia. Party of 4 on a Saturday shortly after noon. Place was almost empty. Service was quick and friendly. Only 17mins from order to food arrival. Excellent selection of beers and food. French dip was rated as excellent and the salad was very fresh and large. Both the regular fries and the sweet potato fries were rated as excellent. Atmosphere was relaxed for our time. We can imagine it gets a bit louder when the crowd settles in. Various board games available to help pass the time.

A new-to-me place I found to be delightfully surprising. The atmosphere was cozy and had hints of impending fun. The restaurant hosts trivia games on Tuesday nights at 7 and has various specials throughout the week. The beer menu is extensive with a nice selection on tap. Our waiter, Ezra, was attentive and knowledgeable, conversational and seemed well versed in “beer speak”, in which I am not well versed, but he and my husband were able to understand each other. Although my upmost favorite brew, Alaskan Amber, was not available today, they do have it on tap now and again. The food menu is pleasing to review, a single page with something for every palate, the prices are reasonable and the selections appetizing and lean to the creative side - at least I thought so. I enjoyed the fish and chips with house made tartar sauce. Towards the end of our dinner, Rachel, one of the managers, came by our table and we had a nice conversation. (Many thanks for the lovely surprise)! While we do not live close by we are excited about finding a place we plan to visit again - on a Tuesday.

Flying Saucer is hands down one of my favorite spots in San Antonio. Their beer selection is second to none, no matter what style you’re into, they have a huge variety to choose from. The food is just as good as the beer. I’ve tried the pizza, sandwiches, and the carne asada fries, and everything has been fantastic. Great atmosphere, great service, and always a fun place to hang out.

Flying Saucer San Antonio is a must-visit for any craft beer lover. The beer selection is incredible, from local Texas brews to rare rotating taps. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they’re happy to help you find something based on your taste. Ask for a sample if you're unsure! Food-wise, their pretzels and bratwurst pair perfectly with a pint. If you're looking for an appetizer to split consider the carne asada fries. If you enjoy the saucer consider joining the UFO Club — it’s a fun way to track your beer-drinking journey and get some bragging rights along the way.

We've been going here for years for lunch or early dinner. They have a good selection of beers--on tap & beer/cans. We love the burgers & sandwiches. Fries--regular or sweet potato are hot & crispy. Service is consistently attentive. The crispy chicken sandwich with pimento cheese is crunchy & spicy. It's really good, but I have to eat it with a fork & it's huge, so I can't finish it--but I give it a good try!

We recently had the pleasure of attending a private dinner at the Flying Saucer, where Chef Ezra took center stage. From the first course to the last, each dish was a masterpiece, combining unique flavors and exquisite presentation that truly elevated the entire experience. The 5-course meal was flawlessly executed, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating from all of us. Chef Ezra's passion for culinary excellence was evident in every bite, and it made our evening unforgettable. If you ever get the chance to attend one of Chef Ezra's dinners, don't hesitate—it's a must-try culinary adventure!

UPDATE 12APR24: Visited again for lunch w/ co-workers. Food was good, drinks were good. Good times. Thank you. UPDATE 18JUL23: Visited again for lunch w/ co-workers. Good waitstaff. Still good atmosphere. Good beer selections. The food menu has been reduced to a single page. The German plate is no longer available. I had the fish and chips and it was good. Hopefully they'll regrow their menu. It's a little lacking right now. Original post: Came here to celebrate a co-worker's birthday - he got to pick the restaurant. We sat outside - I hate sitting outside (wind, heat, bugs. just inconvenient); but it was his birthday, so he got to pick - so lame. The beer selection - very impressive. Tried a couple different beers I've never heard of and they were awful! Just kidding. They were very good. The food was great. I had the German plate. The German potato salad was good fairly accurate. (My adoptive parents are German). I highly recommend this restaurant and we'll come back again when it's not anyone's birthday (I don't celebrate my birthday). Maybe we'll get to sit inside next time.

The weather was beautiful yesterday so we wanted to enjoy a beverage on a patio and they have a ton of outdoor seating. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. They have an extensive beer menu so we got a couple flights and a couple pints of various IPAs. We also ordered the carne asada fries to munch on and they were very good (I ate them until I was stuffed!). Flying Saucer is so consistently awesome so we’ll be back.

I've been here a lot of times, great spot. The patio is lovely when it isn't hot, my only grip is unfortunately a larger one though. It's loud. Like, you'll need to speak up considerably to talk with your table, nearly shouting levels. Be ready to ask your server to repeat themselves a few times. Nice servers! They don't mind doing so, but it's annoying to do so multiple times. This most recent visit was a Saturday afternoon. On trivia night or happy hour it can get even louder, my advice? If you're going, and weather allows it, sit outside

Over two hundred types of craft beer here. The food is great too. If domestic/major brewery beers are you style (not that there's anything wrong with that) then this place may not be for you. The food for lunch and dinner is really good. They have different not on the menu lunch specials every day of the week that usually run about $9 with a drink. They actually have a pretty creative menu - I am a fan of their food.

I can't really speak to the food, as well only had appetizers, but they were good. The serving sizes were respectable for the $. It is a bar 1st and foremost, so quiet isn't something you should expect. However even with a game on, we were able to hold a conversation without yelling.

The food I've had so far is DELICIOUS and I really enjoy the drinks I've been recommend. It's nice to be able to tell the servers the kinds of flavors you like, and they'll have recommendations you can sample before committing. I really like the decor inside for some reason, it's got kind of a Tardis "bigger on the inside" thing going on and these gorgeous but surprising star lamps. So far have enjoyed my couple visits but it would be nice to have some other basic drinks/cocktails even if they're pre made for people who don't care for beer so they can still tag along and enjoy everything else!

The Flying Saucer is definetly a place to grab a beer. It is evident by the 4 page drink menu vs the 1 for food. That said my blue burger tasted fantastic. My wife liked her Reuben but found the pastrami to be very dry. I also dug their drinking club. If you can drink 300 different beers they immortalize you with a saucer. I'm not a big drinker but if I was this would be worth it. Entrees: (1) Blue Burger (2) Reuben-esque Atmosphere/Decor: very open, a good place to drink and gather Server Attentiveness: Good Food Wait: Quick Cost/Value: Good

Food was good but heavy ands not greasy. We opted to sit inside but should have sat outside as it was very stuffy inside. The pretzel was delicious. A lot of beers to try of you like beer.

This place is an experience of its own kind. It boasts one of the largest craft beer selections in the city, and it does not disappoint. They have all kinds of beer and they also have a curated beer selection that is extremely well put together. The food is also delicious and the prices are hard to beat. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they have a cleaning issue. The tables aren't cleaned in a timely manner to allow the next group to use them, and when I've been to their restrooms they're a mess.

This place C.U.T.E! Very pub style with bench seating and lots of beers 🍻 on tap. The food is superb! The hummus is a smidge spicy 🌶 but tolerable. The Cobb Salad’s 🥗 lettuce 🥬 looked like it was starting to wilt but overall it was delicious. The Prosciutto Arugula Pizza 🍕 was delicious! A definite must try! Cheers 🍺! Sitting at the bar, hoping Frank the Tank doesn't come in wanting his seat. Cool atmosphere with a decent beer selection, and tons of Belgian brews. Food was average. I would come back if I was staying closer to this joint.

Overall a very solid option for good food, variety of drink options - with proximity to shopping and I 10. We were able to find a table right away ( party of 3 ) with plenty of outdoor and inside seating. Our server was great, she was friendly and attentive. I give the food 4 stars only b/c I haven't tried enought items off the menu yet; the dishes we had were fine- build a pizza ( crust is on the thinner side but adequate ), chicken cheesesteak and one of the bowls- we liked our meals. The atmosphere was a bit loud - couldn't tell if the music was turned up to cover the loud conversations or were ppl loud b/ of having to beat out the music. In the end I'd rather not hear the other ppl so the music " helped ". It is a pub / bar , so understandable. The high ceiling and natural lighting plus open tables in the center gave a spacious feeling-good for groups; yet a couple could find a cozier spot towards a corner or at a small high top table. The menu is plentiful with a page for specials, weekend brunch and a mixture of English pub style foods along with typical TX items, pizzas, sandwiches etc. The draft and can/bottle beer list is extensive , great to see so many local and national microbrews represented as well as a few international ones.

Four stars just because service was really slow at the beginning we waited for about 10 minutes until a server took our order, food was amazing please do yourself a favor and order the Bratzel and the Grilled Salmon Bowl.

Went here on a Wednesday afternoon just after they opened. It was unusually silent and then we realized that it's too early for a beer. It's located off the freeway and it easy to get here. It is a well designed place. I loved their ambience. The service was prompt and the servers help you select the beer that best suits you. They have a long list of beer and I got the Belgian lake Duevel. I am a fan of this beer. I ordered the Chilly Philly sandwich and my friends got the vegetable sandwich, Reuben Esque and loaded nachos. Every order comes with sad/fries and pickled cucumber. The food the delicious too and everyone loved what they ordered. Overall a good experience and would definitely visit frequently.

Our server was great and the food was delicious but my issue with this place was the trivia. We came for twilight trivia and it was very unorganized. We weren’t expecting it to take that long and it ended up lasting over 3 hours. And the moderator was extremely rude. He admitted to not knowing anything about twilight, which is fine, but when he would ask confusing/misworded questions, he would get frustrated with people trying to defend their answers. He was cursing into the microphone, making inappropriate jokes, and telling people he didn’t care if there were issues with the scores. We dealt with all that in the heat for 3 hours, and couldn’t even be scored correctly. Wont be coming back.

I'm not really a drinker so I don't usually go to this place. I know that it's a decent little Yuppie Hangout. I went there with my son. He ordered that sandwich right there. Sorry I don't know the name and then he also got the Bavarian pretzel. Astonishing that they charged $12.99 for a pretzel. A PRETZEL!!! I think his sandwich was $14 or $15.99. I had to sit there and look at the side of his sandwich and say where's the beef? It's an awfully small sandwich and a side salad. And then two glasses of beer and one soda came up to around $41. Absolutely insane. But seems like plenty of people are coming in for mediocre food and paying the price. I don't mind paying the price for quality. People want value for their money and you don't offer it.

We love Sunday's here for the specials (3.00 Texas beers!) but today we found a pubic hair before right before we were to eat our pretzel... Before today this was a five star place. Thankfully we returned the pretzel before taking a bite. We decided against food and continued with the drinks. Staff was nice, it wasn't our waitress's fault. She was very nice and apologetic but it wasn't her fault, clearly the cook was doing something weird or was a beard hair. Either way we were not taking any chances we returned it. And are still here just drinking. Wishing we could have had a delicious pretzel. (Only taking off a star for the pubic hair, we come here often and have not ever had issues). I'm a bit upset the manager or staff didn't offer to compensate for our drinks or at least offer, the manager didn't even come and speak with us after the waitress said she was going to notify them. Overall, Flying Saucer is a place we enjoy going. We are hoping that this is just an isolated incident. Either way it's still pretty gross. We won't ever look at a pretzel the same way again...

Food came out undercooked and not properly heated, and the pizza was doughy. When we brought it up, the staff seemed more upset with us than concerned about fixing the issue. They did give a refund, but the attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. Probably won’t return, there are better spots in San Antonio for American food.

I rarely lose patience at restaurants/bars coming from a service industry background, yet was disappointed. I’ve heard great things, and the reviews said the same. Food was MID, Service terrible, but had a variety of beers. Would I go back-no Do I recommend-no Liked the decor tho!

Atmosphere & service were good, I was a little sickend when I saw my black fish & Chips. Obviously fried I'm dirty oil. I wondered what type of Mgr would let something so obviously wrong leave his kitchen! To say that I'm highly dissatisfied is without question. Hopefully whoever did this finda themselves another place to work, $20 wasted!

Do not order the salmon. Smallest piece of salmon I've ever eaten for $20. They could call it a grilled rice bowl instead of a salmon bowl. The flavor and quality were good. Portion\size of meat was disappointing.

Food was cold and terrible. No cold glasses and beer served way warmer than it should be. Will never return. They also have some weird per hour minimum on what you can order. So many better places to enjoy. Best of luck.

I was previously here and had my support animal with me and was told we can only sit outside. I was here today and they let somebody else have the dog in the restaurant and was told absolutely noting. Just horrible service. I will be leaving more reviews.

Zero coordination or assistance to get a table so we walked around until we found one outside. It took 15 minutes to get a server to speak with us. They did not have ice and didn't plan on fixing that problem. 2 of the 3 us got out food about 20 minutes after ordering. The third took an additional 15 minutes. I ordered the nachos and this was the worst nachos I've had and they were $14. Customer service is by far the worst I've experienced in San Antonio. No AC so the place was about 85 degrees indoors. There were multiple open tables so I don't understand what could have been the issue of such a terrible experience. I'd avoid this place like the plague unless you like overpriced food and terrible service. I'd leave zero stars if possible. Edit: 20 minutes passed after asking for a water. We had to go and get a glass of water from the bar. Nachos were half-finished due to not being appetizing.

Terrible service, food, and employees. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat. This restaurant seems solely concerned with the owner’s and employees’ feelings. I spent $31 here, and I honestly don’t know why I keep coming back when I’m made to feel like I don’t belong. I spoke with Katie, one of the managers (or owners), and she clearly doesn’t care about customer service.

T

Why is a burger $15? Make money off drinks. Food is so people can drink more. The meat if 1/2 lb isn’t more than $2 Charge $9 and people will drink more. It’s never good to drink on an empty stomach. For reference: See Europe.

I see all these great reviews and wonder why I am the exception. Yesterday, we visited with a group of friends. After 40 minutes a waitress came and brought us a glass and NA beer. I couldn't hear the waitress so I guessed she was promoting the beer. Regardless we accepted it and would have paid for it. Another waitress (Hisp, short hair, mid 30s) came immediately after the first and was rude and snarky and said the beer was for the other table. She then grabbed it and took it away. It was humiliating because we were there for that long and still had not ordered. Also, we were made to feel embarrassed for their mistake, and they never asked us for our order. So, we left. We visited two other restaurants afterwards to meet with friends and the service was great. I will not be coming back to Flying Saucer, ever. There are way better restaurants elsewhere. I'd imagine someone running a restaurant would want people to feel welcomed. That didn't happen. Not by a long shot.
