This place has the best tacos in all of San Antonio and right on the outskirts of the Alamo. The tacos have tons of flavor. They also have great chips and serve alcohol alcohol. The staff is super friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. You won’t find I’m more authentic taco place in San Antonio

The service was really quick, lots of seating and tasty frozen margaritas! The tacos are also really good. Ask about the house favorite, it was in fact delicious. I recommend doing the meal/plate to include a drink and rice and beans.
This is a gem for an affordable and yummy spot to eat, just steps from the Alamo. Most of the restaurants in the area are not to great and overpriced, not Mengerita! Delicious fresh tacos, served with a smile. Walk up to order at the counter and brought to your table. All the staff was lovely, really nice local vibe. There was a daily special of a 2 taco plate with drink, for under 10 bucks! We really enjoyed the O Henry and the Sally White tacos. Contected to the historic Menger Hotel this is the place to eat!
I came out to San Antonio to visit the Alamo with my dad, brother, and girlfriend. We ended up walking around and checking out the river walk and decided that we needed some San Antonio tacos. We were recommended by Alexa from San Antonio Tourism to eat here. Absolutely needed and very filling after ordering the two taco meal deal while my dad ordered the Nachos. The San Antonio and The Babe Ruth were my selection and were very delectable. I highly recommend this joint for a quick bite or a big order sit down. 10 out of 10!
Awesome spot right next door to the historic Menger Hotel and the Alamo. Frozen margarita was perfect on a hot day, and my taco was delicious. I walked in, ordered, and had my food in minutes. There was no wait. The outdoor patio is misted, and the indoor has a nice atmosphere with cold ac. The service is super friendly, too.
This was exactly what it needed to be. Great tacos and great service at a great price! Easily some of the best tacos I've ever had in San Antonio and that is saying a lot!
What a great place to grab a wide variety of tacos after a visit to The Alamo! Everyone found something they liked. Food was quick and tacos had great flavor. Rice was bland, but I wasnt ordering that the tacos were what I was Intreated in. Price and tacos were worth the visit!
Great tacos at a reasonable price after visiting the Alamo! I was worried about finding a decently priced place to eat around the popular Alamo area but ended up stumbling across this taco joint. The tacos were tasty and fairly priced with amazing kids prices. Food also came out extremely fast we waited less than 5 minutes for 5 tacos! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
Fabulous team of individuals working here. I order the chicken taco and the chips and queso along with a watermelon margarita. Right next door to the Alamo. It was quiet which I enjoyed being able to eat my meal and take in the view. Walked to the Alamo and then to the mall, and then through the River Walk. The food here was one of my favorite stops. Highly recommend.
I happened to stumble across this little joint, and when it comes to eating simple tacos, OMG, this place is just unique! The brisket taco was amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I cannot say anything more; this is a must-visit place if you are looking for good tacos. Without a doubt, it's one of the best and tastiest tacos I have ever eaten. I could assure you, I have eaten at so many different taco joints, but none compare to this one. If you love tacos, you have to check it out!
The Sally White was fantastic, the De Zavala was a little spicy but still great. The O'Henry tacos and chips with queso were amazing! Great health inspection code and friendly staff.
The service here is incredible. Very kind and helpful staff. I got three different tacos, and they were all great.
Needed a quick bite while visiting Alamo and Mengerita Tacos fit the bill. Only got one taco and it was filled with wonderful big cuts of brisket. Ate most with a fork! Place was conveniently located across street from Alamo exit, and attached to the Menger Hotel. Staff was pleasant and place was clean.
I happen upon this place walking by downtown and checked it out. It’s very good. I recommend it. They’ve been here two years very clean establishment friendly staff was good. Fajita was great.

Little gem next to the Alamo. Food was deelicious (yummy!!). You must try the #3 The O'Henry (Pulled Pork Taco) with #7 Queso and Chips. The meal was light and very fulling. We'll be back for more while we are here in SA!
We just moved to San Antonio this week and we have been here 3 times already and we’re going back today for lunch. The food is so good. The taco special is very reasonable and the customer service is even better.
Pretty good tacos for a place right next to the Alamo. The beans and rice were very tasty as well. Great place for a snack !!!
We drove in from Houston to check out Lego discovery. We decided to stop to eat and were not disappointed. The food taste amazing, the portion size is perfect for the price and the staff was so friendly. Your belly will thank you. Cheers

As we went in to this establishment it was empty just a couple at a to table. Since it was the closest to the Alamo we didn't want to drive away. This place was simple, seemed a bit old school, but I wouldn't change one thing if it. Works well with the Alamo. The staff was very friendly. Our order was simple as we just order chicken and beef tacos which was soooo delicious. The rice tasted like box rice which it was the only thing that didn't impress me. But I was hungry and it fed me 😋 😋. We notice as we waited for our food the place seem to get a bit busy which was cool. The fountain drink were refreshing to have. Our order was place and received quick. The restaurant was clean and I would definitely visit Mengeritas tacos again!!! I look forward to it. ❤️❤️❤️😋😋😋

The food was terrible. Barbacoa was all fat. Rice tasted like a cheap rice mix from the grocery store but with less flavor. Beans were a weird textured and seemed canned. The only good part was it wasn’t too long of a wait, the location, and the atmosphere.

I am convinced that the 5 star reviews are that of employees. This place is AWFUL. We had a Fajita taco for $6, yes ONE for $6. We also has 2 Barbacoa tacos for $4 each (they said it was a special), chips n queso which were fixed like nachos, so basically dry chips and a Margarita. The tacos tasted like NOTHING. LITERALLY. The salsa tasted like water. The employees should taste the food before serving it. The Margarita was worth it, do to it being made in the machine and not the employees themselves. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
