Amazing first time here. We tried the avocado lox, cheesy grits, breakfast quesadilla, and biscuits and gravy. Kia was an incredible and very attentive server. Would 100% recommend.
Always excited to find a great, new (to me) breakfast spot and this is it. Great bacon. Great cappuccino. Perfectly cooked eggs. Good pancakes. Some of the most flavorful breakfast potatoes I have ever had. I will be making this a regular stop!!
I had a fantastic brunch experience while going through my emails (something I’m always looking for places that are suitable for). The savory and well-executed meal was a highlight. Meia, the server, was exceptional. She was always attentive to my table, even though I was seated at the far end of the restaurant. I’m eager to return and explore the rest of the menu, which offers a wide variety of options.
We live around the area and had my family from México visiting for the weekend so decided to take them here since my husband and I had a really good experience months ago, my parents loved the food and service, Daniela was the best part, she’s really really nice. Thanks Daniela for taking care of us this morning, more like you!!! ❤️ Portions are huge and always good! Worth every penny. -Ana
I had The Crisps fresh toast with a Cappucino and my Dad had the Bene Chicago with coffee.... this is our first time here, and we loved the food. The interior is so bright and refreshing. Linda was our server and she was excellent, very friendly and fast, professional service. Would recommend this spot for a nice breakfast if you get a chance to visit.
First visit and already a favorite. Such a cute brunch spot, but what truly stood out was the service. Gino was, hands down, one of the best servers I’ve had anywhere in this area. His care, consideration, attentiveness, and genuinely positive attitude made the entire experience exceptional. The food was just as impressive—the bacon was easily the best I’ve had in a long time, and everything else was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this place, and it’s an absolute must-repeat for me. If you’re lucky enough to get Gino as your server, you’re in great hands.
The experience at Pur & Simple was amazing. The ambiance we light and refreshing. The food came quickly. Our server Tyanne did an awesome job and helped us find good food options. They have great tasting hot sauce and biodegradable to go plates. Clearly I enjoyed every part of our brunch experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend
We came to Pur and Simple for my Husbands Birthday for Breakfast and it is our new favorite spot. Close to home and absolutely outstanding food! Our waiter Peyton was such a joy and even brought my Husband a Birthday waffle! We will definitely be making this a new breakfast spot in the new year!
I went with a friend yesterday to check Pur & Simple. We both ordered French toast. I got the fruits one with vanilla cream and she got the Nutella one. Let me tell you!!!! The food was delicious. I’m always so nervous to get French toast because some places use cheap bread. Not the case here. The French toast bread was thick, flurry and delish! We both ordered coffees too. The coffee syrups were the perfect amount of a little sweetness. Not overdone with syrup. I went so I could test out the place for my bday in January and I will definitely be back for a birthday brunch! Service was very attentive and loved the atmosphere. Not too loud. Music wasn’t super loud. You could actually hear your friends. Great place! I’ll be a return customer for sure.
An almost perfect "brunch" place. Service was top notch, from the hostess, to server (Gino), to the manager stopping by. Food was great, both of us got the Breakfast Poutine and it was excellent. Great Bloodies as well! The decor was very pleasant and airie. So much to try from both the regular and seasonal menu. We will be back!
Wow, Linda was amazing. The service is top tier, from the moment we walked in, til we paid the check, the menu has so many great choices it was hard to narrow down what I wanted! The seasonal mint mocha latte was delish and the freshly squeezed OJ was a bonus! We had the mash burger and we rated it a 4.5 out of 5! Ray’s Extravaganza with the Spicy hollandaise not too spicy but still very flavorful. The menu is extensive so we will have to come back and try some other items on the menu! This is a delicious beginning to a beautiful relationship. From Canada to Texas a first of its kind and WE ARE HERE for it! See Ya Next Time
The staff at Pur & Simple have nailed it once again. I had the Philly pesto bowl and my wife had the smash burger with a side of chipotle mayo and house coffee. Service was very quick, despite the restaurant being busy, and the food was delicious. They also started carrying yellow bird hot sauce since the last time we were here, adding a nice kick to the breakfast bowl. Our server Daniella was very nice and she congratulated us on having our first baby. A manager also stopped by to see how we were doing after our food arrived.
First time visiting Pur & Simple and it was a great experience all around. I loved the waitlist option. All staff were so friendly and attentive. Coffee was delicious. Food came out quickly although the restaurant was packed. The food though! So flavorful and delicious. Definitely enjoyed it and we will be back!
Excellent breakfast with high quality food and great flavors. Dishes are flavorful and fresh with ample portions and a great value for the money. Specialty coffees were great tasting and fresh as well. We had breakfast and the food was excellent and we couldn't quite finish the side potatoes as tasty as they were. The seating is open and modern but comfortable and service is fast and friendly. This is a great place for a quiet breakfast or with a group.
A TikTok Find Worth the Hype My wife and I decided to try out Pür & Simple after coming across it on TikTok, and they definitely did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was bright, modern, and inviting a perfect setting for breakfast/brunch. We both ordered the French Toast & Fruits, and it was outstanding. The toast was cooked to perfection with just the right texture, and the fresh fruit on top (pineapple, kiwi, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and grapes) added so much flavor. The portions were generous, and every bite was delicious; definitely one of the best brunch plates we’ve had in San Antonio. The service was also top-notch. Geo was our server, and he made the experience even better with his attentive, friendly, and welcoming personality. He checked in on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Pür & Simple was well worth the visit, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful vibe, this is the place! ✨ Simply put Pür & Simple is a must-visit brunch spot in San Antonio.
Great service overall; most of the waiters and waitresses are genuinely nice, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere is also very pleasant: clean, comfortable, and welcoming. My only complaints: you can’t add the tip when paying with a gift card, so make sure you have cash ready for the tip. Also, the fries and potato wedges were a bit too oily for my taste. Other than that, it was a really nice experience and I’d definitely come back.
Servings were big and good flavor. I wss expecting more variation in the menu but is like the name "simple". My wife order the Chicago Benedict and I order the Mish Mash omelet. We enjoy our food and uou can tell the used fresh products on their dishes. I enjoyed their regular coffee, my wife ordered a cappuccino that was not great. We'll definitely come back and make sure we join the wait list before we get there
We ordered the avocado lox and the All American breakfast. For the avocado toast, all fresh ingredients! Avocado was ripe and creamy, toast was lightly toasted and the capers and onions gave it a good taste. The eggs were gently poached and w good visual appeal. The lox was sliced a bit too thinly though and did not meet the avocado to lox ratio. I asked for a fruit bowl substitute for potatoes. The fruit was perfect! Freshly sliced and naturally sweet! For the all American breakfast, the bacon was the best bacon we have had in a long time! It was nicely crisp and flavorful! The potatoes needed seasoning but cooked well. The sausage was tasty w good peppery taste. It was moist and juicy. Eggs were well cooked and fluffy. The waffle was a bit disappointing. It was cold and had cold butter and room temp syrup. Adding fruit to it would only make it colder. Linda the server was friendly and welcoming! She has an enthusiastic personality and would make a great restaurant leader! The place is clean and welcoming! Portions are big!! It is pricey though!
The breakfast was enjoyable but nothing spectacular. I did enjoy the green salsa that they had which was perfectly balanced with a little heat. The smoothie was outstanding.I got the tropical smoothie and my honey tried the matcha which were equally delicious! The potatoes are deep fried and i'm a little conscious on getting deep fried food. The french toast was on brioche bread and it was very good. Our waitress, Kia was phenomenal. She explained to me what a great working environment they have as all were working together to clean a table and set it up. Apparently, they had a buser call out that morning, and every one of the employees pulled together to help each other. You could see and feel that with the waitstaff, which was very relaxing and enjoyable. Restrooms were very clean and the atmosphere is bight and pleasant.
Decor is cute, but this place hasn't hit its groove yet. Below average food, at above average prices. We expected a long wait on a Sunday, which was fine, but it turned out to not be worth it. Took over an hour to get food from when we arrived. Table for 2, ordered basics as-is from the menu. We are experienced brunchers :D and dine out a lot. Cappuccino came out cold, "poached" eggs were more like hard boiled making the Avocado Toast dry. On the plus side, P&S potatoes are tasty. Our server was doing his best. Serving sizes are generous. The decor is super duper cute inside. Easy parking outside. They have mimosas on the menu. It would be a vibe if they played music. Maybe distract you from the rest. Also, uniform dress and grooming standards for staff would be a nice touch. Maybe we'll try back in a few months.
The design and layout of the restaurant is quite appealing. It won't make you feel crowded, bumping chairs with the table next to you, as are other restaurants. The mornings are very busy and the staff will be rushing to give proper attention to every table. As a customer, you'll feel like service is lacking but it's not. It's just the nature of the business when every table is full and there's a constant stream of customers. Be patient. The food is good and well worth the wait. Portions are appropriate and you'll likely leave something on your plate... it's fine, it's normal, just leave it, and if you feel full don't force feed yourself. I ordered the Fried Chicken Benedict and it was satisfying. There wasn't anything to suggest this place should get a Michelin Star, but definitely something you'll tell your neighbor about if a conversation about breakfast restaurants comes up. Give this place a try, it's surely worth a visit. There are only three of these restaurants in the US; one in San Antonio and the other two in Florida.
My boyfriend and I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday morning, and I definitely wish we had arrived closer to opening time. We ended up waiting over an hour for a table. We were told they were short staffed, which I completely understand, but I did notice that some parties seemed to be seated out of order from the waitlist, which caused some frustration. Our waitress, however, was fast, friendly, and efficient, which we really appreciated. I ordered RiRi’s French toast. It was good overall, but the blueberries were not fresh, which was disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the Mish Mash omelet and said it was delicious. Unfortunately, his potatoes were overcooked and lacked flavor, and they forgot to bring his toast. I also ordered a caramel cappuccino, which was quite bitter and served in a very small, almost espresso-sized portion. My boyfriend really loves this place, so we will probably return. Next time, though, I’ll definitely plan to arrive much earlier — waiting over 20 minutes just isn’t worth it to me.
Went in to check it out due to the recent hype......Very mixed feelings....3 stars at best if only rated for food Americano: Was luke warm and 'watery'. Asked to replace with house coffee which turned out to be weak and luke warm also! For a breakfast place, coffee should be coffee! Orange Juice: Had the fresh squeezed taste. Better than average Nordic Benedict: Left a lot to be desired. Only one egg was runny, the other one was almost fully done. The hollandaise sauce was overflowing and overwhelmed the taste. Salmon was a couple of slivers and couldn't taste it at all due to excess of sauce. Muffin texture and taste disappeared due to above mentioned issues Veggie omlet: Excellent omlet but had to be seasoned. Hard to do a better veggie omlet than this! The guac inside plus the cheese was an awesome combo. Portion size was huge. French toast with fruit: Tasted very average. On the dry side. Lacked sweetness. P&S Potatoes: Just one word: Amazing Ambience: Cool, clean, modern vibe
The atmosphere is really cute. But the breakfast plates are overpriced. They’re about $5 more than the average breakfast place (~$18 for avocado toast). And when you get your food, it’s below average taste. The potatoes were soggy. and my avocado toast didn’t make an impression. The toast itself was rock hard and I couldn’t cut through it. But it’s definitely too messy to pick up and eat. I’m not sure if I would want to come back.
We tried this place after our favorite brunch spot closed (RIP Mimosa Gossip). The place was busy and we were quoted a 35-minute wait, but were seated in about 10, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. I ordered a mimosa as i do for brunch and was disappointed as it was mostly orange juice with very little champagne, not typical for a brunch spot. After ordering our meals, two parties that were seated after us ordered and received their food before we even did. We waited about 30 minutes total for our meals. Another disappointment. Service was also underwhelming as I finished both my mimosa and water without any offer for refills to either. On the positive side, the portions and prices were comparable to other restaurants even though out potatoes were quite mushy. We will not be coming back here again and will be on the lookout for another brunch spot to call home
