Food was excellent, portions are big! Everything came out really quickly and service was top notch. Highly recommend!
Thai yellow curry with tofu is so delicious, I order it every time. Generous portions too! Customer service is fantastic, the person who takes phone orders is so sweet!
Little hidden gem of a restaurant I found when visiting San Antonio. Some of the BEST Thai food I've had. Knocked my socks off with the flavors, the service was excellent. Staff was very attentive. Everything was clean. Decor was minimalist and simple. Portions had a lot of protein and were well sized.
Thai Hut is one of those hidden gems that never disappoints. The moment you step in, you're welcomed by a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes you feel at home. The food is what really steals the show, though. The flavors are bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced whether you're in the mood for a spicy curry, savory stir fry, or something a bit lighter, they’ve got it all. The Pad Thai is a classic and always a solid choice, with the right mix of sweet, salty, and tangy flavors, and the Thai iced tea is the perfect sweet finish to your meal. Every dish is made with attention to detail, and the portion sizes are generous enough to leave you satisfied. If you're a fan of authentic Thai food, Thai Hut delivers every time. Great food, friendly service, and a laid-back atmosphere it’s a spot you’ll want to keep coming back to.
The most flavorful red curry I've had in a long time! The optional spice levels are also very enjoyable knowing that I could choose how to eat this delicious food! The lunch special was worth it! Soup to start off and a sweet or unsweetened tea comes with the meal. Definitely will be coming back! Heard a new location opening soon too!
I love Thai Hut. I've been coming here at least once a month for the last ten years. (Random aside: I don't ever call out other reviewers, but someone gave Thai Hut low stars because they didn't get chopsticks with their meal. Not having chopsticks isn't a red flag with Thai food. That's an ignorant comment because people from Thailand generally eat with a fork and a spoon, and they only use chopsticks for noodles.) Like most Asian restaurants in San Antonio, Thai Hut gives you silverware to eat with. I fully appreciate that they also offer Chinese food options for those who don't like Thai food. I've brought several people here who love the Chinese dishes, particularly the sesame chicken. I personally am obsessed with the pad woon sen, but the other Thai dishes are excellent. The food comes out quick and it's always fresh tasting. You get a lot more to eat at dinner, but lunch is great because you get a small bowl of soup and a big egg roll. You can choose how much spice you want in your meal, even if it's no spice. The servers are friendly and helpful. The price point is great. The parking lot is good sized but a little awkward so practice patience driving through it. They also have bubble tea and Thai tea. You can call ahead and get the order to go.
My sisters and I decided to try something new. We're very familiar with many Thai and Asian spots around the city. But, this one was definitely set apart. The staff, the food, and the service was great. We went early in the morning, so the place wasn't too packed. A very diverse menu and I will definitely be back soon.

This is my favorite place to order Pad Thai. Now that we have moved a few hours away, I constantly crave the Pad Thai and Spring Rolls from Thai Hut. Great soup and lunch specials too!

The Lettuce served on the Chicken Lemon Grass was old and dry like if it was refrigerated, maybe they think people don’t notice these things, the white rice was tasteless but other than that the Crab Rice was very well done and the Tom Kair Soup and service were great. Great waitresses and customer care. They have a band on the weekend and it’s extremely entertaining seeing Thai musicians playing international music for you. Not much selection to pick for vegans and kosher taste.
Great food and service. All of the dishes tried by the family tonight was great and I especially enjoyed the fried rice. Update: Always a treat to visit this local gem. The staff and environment are top notch and never disappointed in the qualof my meal. Feel free to treat yourself to some good flavors.
It was my first time trying Thai hut. It was good. I got the sesame chicken and my husband got the chicken pad Thai. It comes with a soup and tea for $8.69. The workers here are all so friendly and nice. They kept up with drink refills and brought me a Togo container without me even asking. Overall everything was great. Will be back again.

Service was great! Food was to salty for me.(I tend to eat low sodium. So if you like salt, you will like the food.) It is pricey for the amount of food you receive. Alot of restaurants have raised their prices or lowered the amount of food per serving due to the cost of running their business in this economy. So it's understandable.
The food was not quite what we are used to. My step mother was Thai and my wife and I have spent close to a years worth of time in Thailand. I'm thinking this was either slightly americanized or some short cuts had been taken. On the pad kra pao, one piece of beef did not taste fresh and in the wee hours I had a eruption of sorts. We love thai food but in this case none of us loved our meals. The saving grace regarding the food was the thai tea and Boba being decent. Initially the staff was pleasant but when we were trying to check out things were awkward. Nothing obvious, no disagreements and I still tipped well but it was simply a weird vibe. Did they not want us to leave?

I’ve been a loyal customer of Thai Hut for many years, but my recent visit was unfortunately a disappointment. The food just didn't have the same depth of flavor or quality I’ve come to expect over the years. It’s sad to see a long-time favorite slip, and it will likely be a while before I give it another try.
Should've read the reviews before ordering because I definitely wouldn't have wasted my time. First off, if the lunch specials end at 2 just say they end at 2. I cant support businesses that are dishonest. I ordered takeout and didn't get utensils or napkins, while ordering the fried rice there were options for "no tomato, no celery?, no beansprouts, but nowhere was no onion and it was loaded. I ordered the lemongrass pork and tofu and it was absolutely disgusting. It sits on a bed of lettuce and was soaked in some juice. Flavorless and inedible and it makes me never want to order asian food in San Antonio ever again. You should be ashamed serving that slop. Never again would I support this business.
This is Thai food for people who don't like authentic Thai food. When the Thai menu offers Chinese food, and they don't automatically give you chopsticks, that's a big red flag. We had 3 dishes, one was so salty that it was barely edible....and I love salt. The Tom Yum was missing key flavors, and tasted more like Italian tomato soup. The Laab was real bland...no spice flavor, no fish sauce flavor, mostly just ground meat. I was shocked how popular the restaurant seemed. I've spent 6 months in Thailand, and many many years in Asia....this was not Thai food. The service was very good, and the people were kind.. The ambiance was decent as well. I wanted to like it, but I won't be back.

My shrimp Thai rice lacked flavor and after biting into a shrimp I felt awfully sick . My sister found a hair in her curry and they did remake it but our large table did complain about how bland the food was , it wasn’t just me or my sister with issues . I felt my shrimp was undercooked. I’ve noticed the past year it’s just not the same over the years anymore . Definitely the last time we visit . Yuck 🤢
This is some of the worst Thai food I've ever had. I like to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt, but everything was wrong. The rice noodles were overcooked. The sauce was ketchupy. I asked her extra of Chinese broccoli and extra bean sprouts.... That just didn't happen. And they give you cheap soy sauce. Really, with good Thai food you don't need any sauce. But I went for it with this stuff, and this is the watery soy sauce. Very cheap. Disappointed, and definitely will not be back.
