I picked up a to-go order of 1/2 rack of pork ribs. The hostess was so sweet and held my order until I was ready to pick it up and had just bagged it when I got there. The website was easy to navigate and ordering was smooth. Ribs were falling off the bone tender and the mild sauce was just right.

BBQ House was the perfect way to kick off our trip to San Diego, and our bartender, Sam, made it even better. She was spunky, fun, and kept the energy high the entire time we were there. Not only did she have great beer recommendations, but she also introduced us to an amazing tequila that we’ll definitely be ordering again. Her enthusiasm and expertise made the experience unforgettable. This spot was the ideal start to our vacation—great drinks, great service, and an atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

I tried BBQ House OB’s new Creamy Tomato Basil soup served with crostini. Hands down ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!’ I tried a sneak peak during the restaurant walk and been waiting ever since to get a full bowl. I can’t rave enough about this soup and it’s perfect timing because we are in soup season. I’d suggest definitely adding some additional crostini. I’m just going to say it again… this soup is PHENOMENAL!!! Update: The other day I saw on the BBQ House OB Facebook page they had two items I wanted to check out asap. So yesterday after work I cruised through BBQ House and tried one of them. It was their BBQ Parfait. It is mashed potatoes, brown gravy with your choice of brisket, pulled pork, grilled chicken or ham topped with fried onion bits served in a HUGE goblet. It’s almost twice the size of a softball. I choose the brisket and it was a wise choice. This ‘BBQ Parfait’ item needs to be renamed ‘BBQ Perfect’. 👌 It was really a perfect meal! Definitely recommend and it’s a head turner as everyone in the surrounding area was pointing and asking, “What is that!!??” Pro tip: I’d suggest asking for an extra plate to put under the goblet so you can really dig in and not worry about any of the fried onion bits falling onto the table. You’re not gonna want to loose any of those tasty nuggets. I removed most of the fried onion topping bits and placed them on the plate. Then started ‘stabbing’ the rest of the contents with a fork breaking/mixing it up good and added back the fried onion bits as space became available. 😁 I ate until I was full and still had some I brought home to eat at a later time. Delicious! Update 2: Yesterday I cruised by BBQ House OB to try their ‘BBQ Rice Bowl’ which is a bed of steamed & seasoned jasmine rice layered with a choice of pulled pork, beef brisket or grilled chicken topped with coleslaw & baked beans. I went with the pulled pork and ordered it spicy. What a perfect meal! The bowl size is deceiving as it has a lot of hidden rice (not photographed) under the meat and that bowl is also next to a big 24 oz beer for size. This very tasty bowl is now being added to my go to items that I’ll be ordering in the future at BBQ House. Update 3: After work yesterday I stopped by BBQ House OB to try their Hot Box Burger which is a hand-pressed, 100% Angus beef patty, seasoned with salt, garlic & cayenne pepper, grilled over an open flame & served with a spicy-sweet Chili Teriyaki sauce over lettuce, tomato, Chipotle mayo, Pepper Jack cheese & jalapeno poppers. It came with a side order and I chose onion rings. Upon reflection, I might opt for a lighter accompaniment next time, perhaps the coleslaw or the creamy potato salad because boy oh boy this was a lot of bang for your buck. 🙂 The juicy burger, bursting with the perfect balance of spicy heat and rich flavors, was delicious. Be sure to arrive with a hearty appetite to fully savor every mouthwatering bite. Update 4: I tried this incredible Oreo cookie cheesecake at BBQ House OB yesterday and it was a next level dessert! So much melting “ummmm” feeling with every single bite. With the Oreo cookie crumbs, chocolate syrup and powder sugar perfectly layered on top, this homemade cheesecake became a wonderful art piece of a treat. So much that once I finished it, I was scraping the plate to get every last bit of flavor. Highly recommended. (*it was hard to photograph)

Came here after the beach, food was incredible. Right when you walk in the vibe was amazing !! Full bar and yummy drinks with TVs all over. We shared the BBQ brisket Nachos. My wife got the chicken and I got the bbq brisket sandwich. I had a bite of the chicken it was super yummy. The sandwich was my favorite item on the menu !! Highly recommend it. We each got a BBQ beef rib. So tender each item. Then we got our desserts it was yummy. Red velvet fired Oreo definitely hits ! Our waiter Destin was great in recommending the items! Can’t wait to come back !

"Holy cow, y'all! We walked into this place thinking we'd stick out like a redneck at a wine tasting, but boy were we wrong! The food was so good, I'll be serving up a plate of humble pie on my pride platter! That half salad? Gigantic! Like, 'how many heads of lettuce did they sacrifice for this?' gigantic. And the chef? A real sweetheart! I asked for some tweaks and they were like, 'Girl, I gotchu!' Like, they actually got me. My waitress, Alexandria B, was the real MVP! She hooked me up with the extra goodies I needed and gave me the biggest smile. Don't tell my hubby, but she made me feel like we were on our first date again... minus the awkward small talk and overwhelming fear of rejection 😂. The kiddos devoured the onion rings and fries like they were fresh out of my own kitchen (wink). If the owners see this, give Alexandria a raise... and a trophy... and a parade in her honor! She's the real deal! Ask for her by name and get ready for a culinary dream come true... or at least a good laugh and a full belly 🤣."

We had an absolutely fantastic late lunch here. Dog friendly patio, and the food was epic!!! We ordered a parfait with brisket and the spicy rice bowl. The onion rings in the parfait were the best I've ever had. Crispy and salty and delicious!!! Our server Sloan, was soooooo helpful and sweet! What a perfect stop, after our time on the beach. My dog loved it too. She relaxed in the shade and had a quick snooze. Wouldn't hesitate coming here again, when we come back to town.

The food was good and the host was nice. You choose your table but then have to go up to the front to order and pay for your food but the girl that took the order was helpful and offered refills on our drinks and brought our food to us.

Just a consistent solid choice for excellent BBQ. Nice selections and combos on the menu. Beer tap choices have soming for everyone except for that one person in your group won't drink beer. In that case don't bring them here 'cause who wants BBQ shared with that nerd? Kidding. Cocktails are available too but I have never had one because.... 🍺 Dress warm on cool nights tho'. Not enough heaters.

Great location for dining in, especially if your in the area! Great food, prices are reasonable, BBQ was good! My only gripe is the vegetarian options are minimal. Lots of beer on tap and the daily small is the ticket! Being in this area, prices are already high, this place keeps them reasonable! The atmosphere is absolutely enjoyable, indoor outdoor experience, with that BBQ home feel, you will not be disappointed with you meal here, especially if you like BBQ.

My friends and I had a really nice dinner here. The ambiance had a very cozy feeling to it and everything was super clean. They have a large variety of beers and liquor based drinks. I had the mango habanero martini and let me tell you - hands down one of the best spicy drinks I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a lot of spicy drinks. The food felt so clean and I wasn’t heavy after eating it. The pork bbq ribs were excellent. They had a ton of meat and they were cooked to perfection. As you can see, the menu has a lot of options. If you’re in the mood for good bbq, this place will not disappoint.

From a BBQ savant hailing from Missouri, there are several missteps here. Granted, it is San Diego… the Brisket is not smoked well. Thinly sliced, minimal smoke ring, and small portioned. Biggest fail of them all, the brisket came pre-sauced!! That’s sacrilegious. Mac n Cheese was decent, but, the ribs were chewy and riddled with un rendered fat. Price point not justified for this BBQ

We loved the atmosphere. Sitting on patio just cool enough to have the heater on. Service was pretty good. Good choices of beers. Few signature cocktails. Wife had the Creamsicle, said it was more close to orange juice. I got the Buenaveza Mexican Lager. They salted the rim per my request (the best way to drink Mexican lager). Beer was good. Had nice fresh taste. Food came out quickly. Ordered 2 meat combo with onion rings and bourbon bacon burger with fries. All summed up with one word, underwhelming. The brisket and ribs had zero smoke flavor and the burger was a frozen patty with no seasoning. Seriously there was no love in the food. For 90 bucks w/tip I expected a lot better.
