Ordered the carne asada nachos! And I've never seen such a large portion with so much meat. The pictures do not do it justice. It was just my wife and I who doesn't like cheese so I got it on the side for my half and we had to take half of it home, it was that large. I will definitely be going back here in the future

We had the Carne Asada Chips and Chicken Enchilada meal. Both were very good and the service was quick. This place for sure lived up the hype. Very delicious!!

Found this place from a friend who lives close by. Then to find out Chuys is featured on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. And for good reason. HUGE portions, delicious food, and reasonable prices. Save yourself time and go straight for the carnitas fries. Fresh fries pilled high with cheese, carnitas, avocado sauce, and creama. Mouth watering and more than enough for 2 people. FYI- I did see someone order a burrito and the size floored me!!!

Came here after an event so we were all hungry. I got the Cabeza Torta which was fabulous ! My buddies got the the surf n turf Cali burrito which was huge !!! They loved it. We shared the potato rolled tacos and shared the carne asada nachos ! It was so huge it can definitely feed two people ! Their salsas were amazing ! Cashier are always helpful helping choose items on the menu. Lots of seating inside and restaurant was clean which is always a plus.

Do not come here for a dining experience. Come here for delicious food!! Everything we got was 10/10. I didn't understand why a chicken quesadilla would be $10 until I saw the size of this thing!!! It was so big my TEENAGER needed to eat the 2nd half for lunch the next day! The rolled tacos are made to order, I got the enchilada ones, but there are other options available. That enchilada sauce is SO SO good! And I am not a spice person. With that, this dish was a must have! The horchata is delicious and on a churner as it should be ✔️ Also, everyone love a burrito bigger than a Snapple 😍

I LOVED this restaurant. There was a previous negative review about the shrimp burrito and let me just say they are dead wrong. Lots of shrimp included, and perfectly cooked. Huge portions so anyone complaining about portions are out of their mind. Very friendly staff and a must stop if you’re a Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives fan and going through SD. Thanks for the amazing food and service!

To be frank, it's a quite respectable Mexican taco establishment. The portions are generous, which is a definite advantage. However, the salsa is somewhat underwhelming; even the pico de gallo seems to lack serrano peppers, and there's a noticeable absence of specialty sauces or robust flavoring. The ingredients are fresh, and the meat is of good quality, but the seasoning, particularly in the salsa, could be significantly improved. Despite this, the generous portions of cheese and meat make it worthwhile. I would certainly return; it offers good value, although it may not live up to the hype some people claim.

Seen this place on tik Tok and wanted to try. We got carne asada fries, chorizo burrito, steak/egg/potato burrito and Chilequilles Verde. Everything was okay , could use more flavor. The Chilequilles were spicy but so worth it. The burritos were so big we could only eat partial.

Good local taco shop, very unassuming as it's just in a strip mall and was quiet when we went in. Be warned you will need to bring a friend to share an order of carne asada fries/nachos. Place was good. I think I was over whelmed by the portion as I took almost all of it home. Good price. Good food. Good service.

iI'm always on the lookout for the best Mexican food in San Diego at a reasonable price. My latest Google Maps search led me to a place that seemed to meet my food criteria based on pictures and reviews. Plus, Guy Fieri vouched for the place! I ordered the carne asada fries. **Pros:** - Good quantity - Decent price $16.15 - serve beer **Cons:** - The meat was overcooked and hard - Lacked sufficient sour cream and guacamole for the amount - The fries were soggy, not crispy I'll give this place one more try and eat in-house to see if it was just a one-day fluke and will update. It took me 15 mins to drive home before consuming.

At first, I was thinking this place is too expensive. Then, when I saw the portion sizes (totally shareable) it made it worth the price. $57 for a family of 4 to eat is pretty expensive. Sounded like they had daily specials with reduced prices though. I mean, food was good but we likely won't go back. Way too many other places to check out in the area.

17 bucks for 2 tacos is criminal. Tiny piece of fish. Literally unsalted and unfried shrimp. It's so clumsy to eat. Aggressively mediocre and super pricy.

Saw this place on Diners Drive-Ins and dives and thought it would be cool to check out. Found out everything was cooking animal fat so that limited my food options. I got to shrimp burrito hoping that would get something good, ended up paying 14 for a shrimp burrito with only four shrimp in it, they weren't that big. My friends who got meat dishes said the meat tasted old and not worth the money.
