I used to love Smashburger, and then locations began disappearing. I was excited to find this one on El Cajon and College. They still had my favorite: truffle mushroom with chicken + smashtots. Everything was just as good as I remembered, and the educator discount was a nice surprise! The service was really good, and I'm looking forward to coming back again since it's not far from my place.

Luisa, the gentleman who helped us, was absolutely amazing! Super friendly, welcoming, and just an all-around great guy. He made the whole experience even better with how kind and genuine he was. The food was incredible, easily some of the best burgers and hot dogs I’ve had, packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The place has such a chill, laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay and hang out. Huge shoutout to Luisa, someone give this man a raise, he truly deserves it and then some!

Smash Burger is always delicious and it warms your belly. (that is my favorite part). We were leaving a store and saw a sign outside that said kid eats free on Wednesday We were politely greeted by Nathan, he was friendly and let me know, the kids eat free Wednesdays deal includes 1 free kid meal (drink included) per paid adult meal We love to find kids eat deals in San Diego, it allows us to reallocate the savings towards extended family fun. This deal encouraged was to sit and rest together. The restaurant is clean, has music playing, and has bathrooms(code req). We love a good deal not only was the kids eat free on Wednesdays deal great, but the food was great. I had the boys split their chicken tender meal this time and they cleared the plate which is not the usual. There are cute micro-games on a back table and coloring activities as where the kids could keep themselves busy (the adults too). We're not only going to come back especially on Wednesdays this summer, but we're going to tell our play date friends as well!

I usually love smashburger. Today inordered it through uber eats. They charge an extra $2.04 to add “freshly smashed avocado. This is what i got in my burger… a piece of avocado. Not even a whole half. If i didnt have my newborn, i would drive all the way over there to have them add the appropriate amount and item. Its not even smashed… literally just a lump of avocado.

This is the second time I’ve come to this Smashburger location, and unfortunately, I was treated poorly again — by the same employee. The staff member’s attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive, which made the experience uncomfortable both times. As a paying customer, I expect at least basic courtesy and respect. It’s disappointing because I was hoping my first experience was just a one-time issue, but clearly it was not. I really hope management addresses this, because customer service makes a big difference. Also he didn’t give me my milkshake Additionally, when I asked about the pickup time, he told me, “That’s not my problem, that’s Uber’s problem,” assuming that I worked for Uber. When I clarified that the order was actually mine, he responded ‘I thought it was delivery Even if it had been a delivery order, that does not justify speaking to someone in that manner. Delivery drivers are still human beings and deserve to be treated with respect.
