I've been frequenting this little coffee shop for such a long time now, that to write a review now after so many pleasant experiences is a disservice to them. This is the coffee shop to go to! The staff is friendly, professional, and most of all... the coffee and food is just what you need. Top it off with absolutely divine hand made chocolate truffles to go with your piping hot cup of joe, and it truly becomes a divine experience. It's not ironic that this establishment exists in Tierrasanta. Do yourself a favor and whenever you need coffee, a relaxing atmosphere and pleasant conversation, make your way here. No regrets. Ever.
wow wow wow i wish this wasn’t so far! hands down best coffee i’ve had. i’m pregnant and have switched to decaf and it just hasn’t tasted good but today trying this coffee made me so happy! thank you
This place is great. Always great coffee and tea, and the staff is super friendly. We also really appreciate the gluten free treats.

Love this place. But keep in mind it is mainly just for coffee and to get a nice little pastry. I did not see a lot of outlets and I didn't ask for any wifi codes either. They have a good selection of coffee available and a good knowledge of how the coffee should be prepared properly. I got their crucible the first time and I was WIRED. The second time I went I got their drip coffee and it was just enough for me. Every Saturday they also have a special cupcake that they sell. I went and got the PB and J cupcake and shared it with friends. It was delicious and my friend definitely asked if I could get more. Keep in mind this is only a Saturday thing. They sell food all days, but the special cupcakes are Saturdays only.
So good, my wife and I are not fans of a lot of chains and finding a great local coffee shop can be hard. Not here, this place is great. Everything is delicious and even got me trying other kinds of coffees. Will always be back when back in town.
Double shot espresso - smooth and delicious. Low bitterness and acidity. Latte was great too. Had a bagel with cream cheese, so can't really speak to how good food is. Coffee and customer service was on point!
This is my favorite coffee shop in SD! It’s got a cool vibe, great staff and the BEST coffee! Plus they offer unique baked goods. There’s even packaged coffee to brew at home and their own quick mixes for breads & muffins. Bonus is their own chocolates with really unique flavor blends! Outside seating makes for a relaxed place to meet up with friends. Definitely worth checking out!
I've been enjoying this Coffee Shop as long as they have been in business and I go back every day for the friendly service and great food and coffee. From Acai Bowls to Egg White breakfast sandwiches and a very large variety of coffee and tea drinks, they make it special and spread a very good vibe. Well Done Industrial Grind!
Great gluten-free treats! The chocolate-zucchini bread is amazing, and their Mexican hot chocolate is delicious. Update: years later, still just as great, yummy gluten-free treats and all. They also had a really yummy drinking chocolate mix with orange flavor the last time I came in; it was delicious! Whenever I am in the area, I want to stop here. It closes fairly early is the only issue- otherwise I would definitely be stopping in more often!
Update: 2025! I have been coming to this place so much, I have friends requesting the coffee from different states. This is my go-to spot for Christmas gifts. As always, I love the coffee and service. ❤️☕ A friend recommended this place to me and I'm so glad I tried it! I got a large cold brew with coconut and caramel flavors. The flavors are in powder form and made at the coffee shop. I also got a cinnamon roll loaf that is baked in house daily. The coffee has a great flavor! The loaf was out of this world! The shop has an urban "Seattle" feel to it. Will be coming back.
WAY better than Jaunt coffee roasters and miles ahead of Starbucks. Kinda pricey and too far away to go there regularly. They got pumpkin spice year round. Quick service. Friendly enough.
Love this local coffee shop. I haven't tried their food items (although they all look great when I see them in the shop), but they do offer a great cup of coffee. Also, the staff has always been friendly and welcoming.
Love this place! Parking lot is a little weird with a one way lane (whoops). Great coffee with a selection if you wanted something different. Gluten free pastries and healthy eats. Outdoor seating, comfy chairs and a bar area inside. Nice vibe with friendly people :)
Love their coffee, great food, & the staff is super helpful! I ordered 9 breakfast sandwiches for our office to be ready by 7am. Everything was ready when I walked in the door & all the orders were perfect. Super easy pick up! Highly recommend their bagel sandwiches :D
Wonderful coffee. A great section of local goods such as honey and soaps, etc.
This is what you want from a neighborhood coffee joint. They roast and grind their own beans, have good sugar-free options, excellent baked goods, and even some breakfast fare.

Really great coffee. Simple drip, but some really good notes on the house brew. Casual and quick. Lots of outdoor seating.

If you are gluten free, the best baked food! The coffee is just ok!

Industrial is a solid spot with very friendly staff. The main reason for my 3 star review is that the coffee training and knowledge seems to have room for improvement. I didn’t see any measuring of grounds, milk, sweetener or espresso and the coffee bean hoppers were covered in oil, which means they hadn’t been cleaned in 6 months +.

The coffee is good. The sandwiches are not at all attractive and very simple... so you decide if you eat one..😉

I only had coffee here, so I can’t speak for the pastries (which smelled delicious). The girls behind the counter were very sweet and quick to make my order, so the service was good. But the coffee was terrible. It unfortunately tasted like dirt, which was very disappointing since I love me a cup of black coffee from a local shop. There also isn’t any indoor seating, so don’t come here thinking you can meet a friend for a cozy up of… tea. Or a pastry. But not the coffee.

Update: still tracking. Looking forward to when this place shuts down. A place with inability to recognize and confer dignity and humanity. Garbage in, garbage out. Karma is my friend. And no, saying “I’m Hispanic so I can’t be racist” is not a valid point. One of them actually said this! Some of the worst racism, biases etc. I have seen and experienced has been from individuals who happened to be Hispanic/Latin. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Ridiculously overpriced. Horrible service from DAY 1 (I was foolish to go even to DAY 2 after that). I have some ideas of why this might be but hard to prove. There is only seating outside and looks like cobbled together fifth hand tables and chairs (sitting outside in cold I am pretty sure pushed me over the edge with flu, then was bedridden most of next 5 days). Tables outside dirty. No restrooms (sorry if you need to be near a bathroom, clearly not a place that cares much for diversity or inclusion). Pastry options lacking and not fresh or look just from local convenience store, again crazy prices. Was hoping just to get a smile with my order. Not even a cursory greeting. Again this has been since setting foot. Was virtually ignored and treated like something on a conveyor belt. Getting treated like a second class citizen, nice! I am sure you will see sarcastic (and confrontational with sickeningly arrogant undertones) comments in some response from a manager on this, not the way mature professional people behave. This place is a waste of space imo. I am sure it is taking the place of someone who can do much better in any service, although I am not sure you can get any worse.
