I am thrilled to discover a new Chinese/Taiwanese dumpling restaurant in Point Loma today! The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who ensured a delightful customer experience. The food arrived promptly, exceeding my expectations in terms of speed. Each dish was a delight, and loved that there was a wide variety of dumplings and appetizers to choose from. The green onion pancake had an incredibly crispy texture that was immensely satisfying. I also relished the green chive with shrimp and pork dumplings, which were served in generous quantities of 14 per flavor ordered. To enhance the flavors, I paired them with a custom dipping sauce I created using soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar in the spice rack. In addition to the dumplings, I also savored the refreshing cucumber and wood ear mushroom salad, which served as a perfect palate cleanser between bites. It's worth noting that the restaurant has limited seating, with only about four tables available. In the event that all tables are occupied, I recommend opting for takeout to enjoy the delicious food from the comfort of your own home. We shared four dishes between three people, which was perfect. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is typically always packed during lunch, but there's a handful of street parking. I look forward to trying other items on the menu and will be back!
Came to this family owned little restaurant for dinner. Owner’s little daughter took our orders, she’s really cute. We ordered the beef noodle soup and steamed chives pork and shrimp dumplings to share. As a family owned restaurant, you have to be prepared to wait for your food, not a big kitchen. But it’s definitely worth waiting. The beef noodle soup was very tasty. The noodles were soft and the beef was tender and flavoured. My husband typically liked the dumplings, very juicy and fresh. We enjoyed our dinner there and certainly will be back. Make sure you come early as there’re limited seats in the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Very good dumplings. We got the scallop, shrimp and pork dumplings and they were delicious. The wrappers were so good, so soft it was almost like they weren’t there.
OMG this is amazing, authentic dumpling! I ordered the green pepper pork and scallop shrimp pork dumplings and they were just so good! The noodles were also very good but the dumplings are stunning. The starters are so very good! I highly recommend this place. Will def return. Love this place.
I really didn’t feel the need to gas this place up. It was a 1 hr wait (we pregamed at Harbor Town Pub), they have all the people waiting that they can handle, and yet it was so freaking good. They were slammed, and to help move things along, they only take one round of ordering at a time. The staff are very friendly, despite being busy make sure they come around to refill water at all times, check on us and take away plates. Food came out at reasonable times considering how busy they are. Our male server was so warm and welcoming. The menu isn’t the largest and I think it’s helped them to really make excellent products. We got their green onion pancakes (unbelievably crunchy), rougamo (meaty Sando with that same crunchy pastry dough), cucumber mushroom salad is always refreshing, beef noodle soup (meat was tender, soup flavorful and noodles are lovely chewy), 3 types of dumplings: shrimp and pork, chicken and mushroom and a dark horse of beef and green bell pepper. All of them so good, so addictive, mixed with that hot sauce which is so amazingly good. This place is pretty stupid good and I hate it.
We had to wait a bit for a table for two, but it was absolutely worth it. The scallop with shrimp and pork dumplings, along with the chicken and pork dumplings, are must-tries! We sampled three different types of dumplings, plus the green onion pancakes and the beef noodle soup — all were outstanding. By the end of our meal, we couldn’t leave without calling over the waiter to compliment both the excellent service and the incredible food. Everything here is top-notch! Such a great find…
Wow, fantastic spot. Great non-typical dumplings and vegetarian options. Portion size, seasoning, everything was well balanced (if you want it spicer add the chili sauce). Just wish the restaurant and the parking was larger.
YUM!!!! Ordered cucumber and wood ear salad, and carrot/beef dumplings. Food came out very fast. The cucumber salad was amazingly fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. Dumplings were tasty too. Very small dining area
Authentic and delicious dumplings! We tried the pork & chive, corn & chicken, and scallop dumplings—they were so good we ended up ordering some frozen to take home. The side dishes were flavorful and generously portioned. There was a short wait for food, but they clearly communicated the wait time with signs and a heads-up, which we appreciated since everything is made fresh. Definitely coming back to support this local, family-run gem!
Great little mom and pop restaurant in a Point Loma strip mall. We went with high expectations and were blown away by the quality and quantity if the offerings as well as the service. This is a small shop with maybe 8 or 9 tables. There was a wait to be seated, but not too long and everyone in line was cordial. Everything on the menu looked interesting, however seeing the quantity of food being served we decided to limit ourselves to 3 appitizers and one entree each. The wonton soup by itself was enough to feed 3 people. The pig ear salad was very interesting and enjoyable, however the spice gave everyone numb tongue for 10 minutes. The green onion pancakes were extremely flavorful, albeit a bit oily for me. We also ordered the Scallop with Shrimp and Pork Dumplings, the Naoa Cabbage with Pork Dumplings and the Mushroom and Chicken Dumplings. Each consisting or 14 or 15 dumplings. We were only able to consume about half and had to take the other half to go. All the Dumplings were incredible but our favorite was the Scallop with Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. The meal was great and the experience memorable. 5 stars for the flavor, the quality, the preparation and the service. We will definitely be back.
Blew my mind. Very simple menu with exceptional food and dumplings. Green Onion Pancake was delicious, Wonton Soup was amazing and super large, Rougamo is a must, and every single dumpling we ordered - Vegetable, Pork and Chives, Pork and Napa, Scallop/Shrimp/Pork - was fantastic. Prices are beyond reasonable for what you get. My new favorite dumpling spot.
Someone at work recommended this place and we have always wanted to check it out. But it’s always been busy there and hard to find a table unless if you want to wait 45 minutes even longer. Then we came on an early afternoon on a Sunday and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. The food here is solid. But if I have to name one thing special, it’s gonna be Summer. She’s so sweet. She’s a daddy’s helper.
We came here on a Sunday afternoon and were lucky to be seated immediately, because by 1 PM, there was a small line forming. Parking is also limited. This is a small mom and pop shop with a modern and comfortable interior and had about 7 tables. They serve authentic Chinese cuisine like cold dish appetizers and handmade dumplings to order. Since they are made to order, there was a little bit of a wait time, but worth it. The crispy onion pancake is different from the one I'm used to (opaque, chewy layers with crispy outsides). Theirs seems to be completely fried and reminded me of the crispy bread used in Roujiamo, which makes sense as it is also one of their dishes. It was unique and amazing. I made my dipping sauce with the chili oil, soy sauce, and sweet vinegar, a delicious combination. At first I thought the skin of the dumpling looked very thick based on the color, but it was actually not at all. It was soft, fell apart easily in the mouth, and not heavy at all. The texture was like broad rice noodles. I enjoyed my meal here and I hope you give this place a try too.
Incredible family run restaurant with authentic, regional chinese dumplings, and soups. Everything we tried was delicious and uh, well, prepared. You could tell they were made with first rate ingredients, and care. We especially enjoy the pork and shrimp dumplings, the salads, he wonton soup and, the green onion pancakes. Friendly atmosphere, generous portions and reasonable prices. A hard to beat combination.
Small family run dumpling house. They only have a few tables so try to go early. Very reasonably priced selection of appetizers and freshly made dumplings. I had the chive, shrimp, and pork dumplings - ate the whole delicious lot. Meet dumplings is a quick 7min walk from the yacht club. Be sure to stop by if you're mooring there for the day. 10/10!
The best dumpling place in town!!! All fresh made!! There’s no other place like this. Dumplings taste very good and also the side dish!! The place is very small so not for big group.

Amazing spot for handmade dumplings. The pork and Napa cabage was my favorite. Make sure to get there early since most of the time there is a wait. Be respectful since this place is making everything to order. Truly a hidden gem.
This is as mom and pop is as good as you can get for 2026. Dad works the floor, summer the daughter helps dad out and mom and other family members work the kitchen. Regardless of what people say about “women in the kitchen” you know the food will be the best food when a restaurant is this way. The food here has soul out into every dish and the consistency is amazing. One of the best restaurants to come to Point Loma. It can get busy from 6-8pm most evenings. This hard working family is doing an incredible job to bring authentic Chinese to us. Ignore the bad reviews, people have no idea how hard this family is working. The place is small, but thats what makes it so amazing.
This is hands down the BEST dumplings I’ve ever had! We stopped in here seeing a line out the door not knowing what to expect as it’s a small place but holy cow…just amazing. The dumplings are authentic and made fresh to order. The soups were amazing as well. If you’re in San Diego and you get a chance to eat here, it’s 110% worth the wait. You won’t be disappointed!
Best dumplings in the world! They are ofc handmade, scrumptious in every way. Their hand mixed sauce that contains red chilli oil and soy sauce was so delicious. The owner was so gracious and we learned some Chinese as we talked about our adventures around the world.
This is a family owned hole in the wall dumpling spot. Portion sizes are not bad. However, I wish the portion size for the beef noodle soup was more generous. I ordered takeout and there wasn’t enough soup for the noodle serving. Overall, flavors were 4/5 but I wanted a little more kick in the beef noodle soup and extra broth. I feel like restaurants should automatically give extra broth because we can’t come back and ask for more especially if it’s a lunch break. Their beef noodle soup is not the traditional Szechuan spicy. So if you’re looking for a solid spicy beef noodle soup I would recommend a different spot. The menu is very limited which is great because the restaurant seating is very limited which allows for faster turnover of the tables.

Visited because of the high ratings. The menu is quite limited, and dumplings seem to be the main focus — about one third of the menu is dumplings. We ordered zhajiang noodles, beef noodle soup, wontons, and pork & napa cabbage dumplings. For sides, we had marinated beef, tofu skin, and a chive pocket. To be honest, after traveling around Florida for 8 days, this place served the smallest portions we’ve had. The dumplings and wontons were actually pretty good — not salty, very mild and normal in flavor. But the chive pocket and zhajiang noodles… wow, they were extremely salty. The chive pocket was fried really well, super crispy and delicious when hot — credit where it’s due — but way too salty. And at $9 for one, it was very small (about palm-sized). The zhajiang noodles were even saltier than the chive pocket. I was honestly on the verge of tears while eating 🥲. I didn’t try the beef noodle soup, so no comment on that. That said, the place is clearly popular — there was already a line forming by the time we finished eating.
