I was recommended by a friend to visit this place and it did not disappoint. I ordered the wagyu shawarma on pita and it was delicious. They toast the pita bread which is a nice touch. I do wish the hot sauce was a bit hotter but that also added extra flavor to the sandwich. I also ordered the lemon garlic wings which were okay nothing to write home about.
Their location in La Mesa has the best seasoned chicken Shawarma I've ever had, and I have eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants. The tabuleh is delicious and the hummus is so authemtic. The managers (or owners?) Are super friendly and cater to your every need. My friend had the California burrito and it knocked her socks off! I absolutely love this place. ❤️
Delicious food, I'm a huge fan of the fries and never miss out on them. The best item on the list though is the shwarma egg rolls!! Wagyu beef and chicken are overall the best ever!!
the girl who works the register is a beautiful amazing human being. i miss eating here so much but my boyfriend moved out of the area. btw the wagyu egg rolls are pricey but they are absolutely worth it as a splurge treat. trust me. there are few things that i’ve tasted that are as good as them.
It was our first time here and Janelle was a lively. Her conviction was so high for the Fries Lemon Cream Chop that we had to get it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the white meat chicken battered was on point. Also got the Wagyu beef wrap, it was also on 🤌 P.s get the gravy of the fries on the side.
Shawarma Guys is an excellent spot for anyone who loves fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food. The shawarma is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of authentic taste, while the sides are just as delicious. Every bite feels homemade and satisfying. The service is very friendly and efficient—the staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal. The food comes out quickly, and the team always serves with a smile. The atmosphere is casual, warm, and welcoming, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a tasty meal with friends or family. With great flavors, quick service, and fair prices, Shawarma Guys is definitely worth visiting again and again.
Seen shawarma on a YouTube channel so I had to go investigate and it didn’t disappoint. I love Mediterranean food as is , but shawarma is on another level of flavorful goodness. The wagyu eggrolls are small but packed with flavor . My husband was disappointed that he didn’t get more. I got the chicken Greek burrito. The price we paid for 2 people was very reasonable we will be going back.
It is great shawarma and the beef is high quality as advertised. The chicken was also quite flavorful. Rice and garlic sauce delicious. Love that they give tabouli with it along with pita and hummus. The hot sauce could use a bit of work. It’s almost like an Asian style sweet sauce. Not sure if this should be given #1 on Yelp but it’ll satisfy cravings for a good shawarma.
Heard about this place on social media so I went here with my colleague during lunch. For everyone's awareness, this is a food truck. I ordered the Beef and Chicken Shawarma Bowl which comes with Pilaf Rice, Pita, Tabouleh, Whipped Hummus, Beef and Chicken. Also a drizzle of white sauce and red sauce on the side. The meat tasted really flavorful, the rice was nice and fluffy. I really liked how the hummus came whipped and the texture was great. Really amazing food but unfortunately in my personal opinion, the food is overpriced for how much quantity you recieve. I know its 2026 and inflation is high but as a customer I would be looking to pay between $13-$16 to come back instead of $19. If you're ok with the price, really great food!
Easy ordering process with a short wait time. Portions were decent. Falafel was a beautiful crisp green. However the flavor was too light for the pita and wrap. Would recommend the waygu eggrolls! Despite their good review/ratings I would not go out of your way to try this place.
The food quality for this place is top notch. They use Wagyu beef for their shawarma and the taste is noticeable. I typically get the beef shawarma plate with extra beef. It comes with beef, saffron rice, tabouli, + hummus and pita bread. The egg rolls are also delicious. Although I love this place, the price is hard to swallow. The plate with extra beef is over $30. For that reason I don’t go here as often as I like, so 4/5.
Had to visit and see what all the hype was about. Ordered the Wagyu Beef Egg Rolls, plate and pita along with Falafel pita. Everything was super tasty and service was friendly and quick. To be honest though, the Wagyu beef tasted like regular beef....but still good none the less. Although they dont sell drinks, they're conveniently located beside a liquor store that also sells non alcoholic drinks. Enjoy.
It was good and I am glad we tried it but I do think it's is a little overhyped and pretty spendy. We watched a lot of YouTube videos saying it was the greatest and they say they are #1 restaurant in the country on yelp... We got the Wagyu Schwarma plate and Wagyu egg rolls. Both good but nothing out of this world. The hummus was pretty dang good though. I did want to try the lemon chop fries I just didn't have anymore room in my stomach lol. Heard those were tasty. If you're near there and looking for a quick place to eat, it's worth a try.
$70 for 3 without drinks or tip. This was lunch and definitely expensive for a food truck. Their appetizer was 2 rolls with Wagyu beef for $11. Food quantity was good and quality was okay. They’re definitely good for San Diego, but there are many better places in LA. The taste didn’t meet the hype or match the price.
HORRIBLE. Baklava… hard as a brick. The beef wagyu pita tastes like unprocessed liver meat. Service? Mediocre…. All for $25. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
