O my gosh I have to brag on the manager Bryan and our server Joe. My sisters, mom and I came in for a girls trip and decided to try Mastros for dinner. Amazing service and experience. Joe was attentive, very informative and super sweet. He has great customer service, great recommendations and just went above and beyond for our night. The steaks, sides and wines were so yummy. Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner.

We went to Mastro’s Steakhouse to celebrate our 3-year anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere was romantic and elegant, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and every bite felt like a true celebration. A huge thank you to Chef Brendy for making the night extra special. His talent and passion for cooking made our anniversary dinner unforgettable. We are so grateful and can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I went to Mastrer’s for our 27th wedding anniversary. Our server Pedro was remarkable. There was a lot of concern and care and gentleness throughout our evening. The menu had our 27th wedding anniversary on it which is an excellent touch. Bryan, the general manager came to our table to introduce His self and make sure we had a wonderful evening. If he was amazing the live singer was amazing

W my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience with Mastros. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were so amazing to us. Dawn was our server and she was very pleasant. She took very good care of us. We also got to meet the General manager Brian. He took care of us as well for our anniversary. The atmosphere was wonderful with the live singer. Set the mood for a night cap (wink) The food was delicious.

Hotel concierge recommend. I didn't check reviews, felt like a chain restaurant. Later, I saw in the reviews that it's a Landry's property. I uploaded my receipt thru the app, we'll see if credit is applied. Had I known, I'd opt for the other steakhouse just a few blocks away, same experience (minus live music) but at least there's guaranteed loyalty credit. Overall, good experience but overly priced. There's no cleaning of crumbs, no amuse-bouche, and although there were maybe four tables of an otherwise empty restaurant, no GM checking on the guest? It's fancy, don't misunderstand, but lacked that detail I expect for the price. Waitress was great. Hostesses were equally pleasant, it's those details of fine dining lost by corporate owners.

First time dining here, we received a call after making the reservation stating that there is a dress code enforced for dining with them. Not a problem we dressed accordingly, come to find that they don't enforce any dress code since the people next to us were in jeans, white tee and white air force ones, so why tell me that there is a dress code when there isn't. Anyways the food was decent It came out quick, the server was good even tho they charged us for a second water bottle after we told them "no" The sides we had the creamed corn 7/10 Creamed spinach 4/10 Creamy garlic mashed potatoes 6/10 Bread (felt a bit stale) 5/10 New York strip steak 7/10 Scallop dish was delicious 8/10 Kansas City strip bone in 5/10 Very undercooked in the center. I wouldn't go back, too expensive for what you get.

The food was excellent, rich in flavour and beautifully prepared. Sadly, the service did not match the quality of the kitchen. I had barely started eating when a waiter came over asking if I was finished and began to take my plate, even though my bread and side dish were untouched. I had to stop him from removing it. Later, before 10am, my plates were cleared again right after I finished the sides, leaving me no chance to relax or enjoy the moment. The restaurant was half empty, so the rushed service felt unnecessary and careless. At this price point, you expect not only great food but also a thoughtful and enjoyable dining experience. What also struck me as disappointing was the television showing sports in the dining room. Is this meant to be a sports bar? If so, why are the staff dressed in suits? The mix felt confusing and cheapened the overall atmosphere. The food was truly amazing, but the service and setting need serious improvement.

My fiancé and I recently dined here to celebrate a special occasion. It was his first time at Mastro’s, and having dined multiple times at the Newport Beach location, I had set high expectations for both the food and service. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short. From the start, service was noticeably slow. Our drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive. We ordered bread service when we were first greeted, yet it didn’t arrive until about 35 minutes later — after we had already received our Caesar salads. My martini was ordered dirty but came out without any olive brine, and my fiancé’s Old Fashioned tasted watered down, as if it had been sitting too long before being served. When our steaks arrived, both were cooked incorrectly. I ordered a small filet medium; it came out nearly rare. My fiancé ordered a 12oz filet medium rare, and his arrived overcooked. Mine was taken back to be cooked longer, and his was refired. When my steak returned, it was well done — completely overcorrected. At that point, I asked for it to be removed and chose to simply eat the sides as my dinner. While our server was apologetic, it was clear he was managing too many tables to provide the level of service expected at this price point. What was most disappointing was that no member of management came by to acknowledge the multiple issues at our table. Although my steak was removed from the bill — which was appropriate since it was not eaten — the overall experience felt subpar and far from the standard I associate with this brand. Given the cost and reputation, this was deeply disappointing and not reflective of the quality I anticipated.

Took the wife out for a Date here since my daughter recommended it. Food was ok for the price point. This is more of a I’ve been there place just to say you’ve eaten here instead of I’m there every week. Once seated service was great. But the Male hostess needs to go find a job somewhere else. Rude, and making a joke about how he had a 50-50 shot calling me Jesus after I’ve already checked in with the other hostess is way out of line. If I’m going to spend $400 for 2 it won’t be here. To the management is this ok to you.

The food at Mastro’s San Francisco was very good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered vegetarian, and she was not treated with the same level of respect or attentiveness when asking about vegetarian options. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. Additionally, our waiter, Aladin, charged me for truffle butter on my steak that I did not order. I only noticed it afterward, and it ultimately came out of his tip. I want to be very clear for future guests: carefully review your bill if you are served by him, as he may add items you didn’t request. Overall, the food lived up to expectations, but the service was questionable and inconsistent. For a premium dining experience, attention to detail, transparency, and respect for all guests, especially those with dietary preferences, should be a given. We are frequent Mastros diners so this was an unfortunate experience.

My son and I went there for Thanksgiving dinner and i was very disappointed with the food. The restaurant has a nice upscale atmosphere and projects an opulent feel. If you like wine, their wine list is very extensive so you would find something you like and the bar is well stocked with just about everything. Our server was attentive and knowledgable but had a hubris nature which I didn't like. I ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and fillet mignon medium rare so it had a nice strong pink color inside and this is how it came from the kitchen. Unfortunately, the steak was very dry and tasteless. For a $71 fillet mignon I would have expected a steak with flavor and not dry. The Outback Steakhouse is a base level restaurant and their fillet mignon is much better, full of flavor, and not dry for a fraction of the price. Since I am a local resident it was worth going there to see what it was like, but I won't be back. For two people, I can spend $285 (our bill with 1 cocktail each) elsewhere and have a much better meal and at a lower cost.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations, especially for a $400 dinner. When the main dish arrived too quickly, my partner politely mentioned it to the server. We were told the steak would be re-fired and would take about 20 minutes. However, when it came back, it was still slightly lukewarm, which made us feel it may not have been properly re-prepared. We are unsure what the 20-minute wait was for. The server did offer dessert as an apology, which we appreciated. However, when we left, the server did not acknowledge us or say goodbye, even though we walked right past him. We had called ahead to confirm the dress code and dressed accordingly from the restaurant. My partner wore a long coat, yet there was no coat check service. Meanwhile, other guests were wearing white T-shirts and hoodies. The restaurant has both second and third floors, and we were seated on the third floor, while the second floor seemed to have a much nicer atmosphere. We were disappointed by that as well. Overall, the service and experience did not reflect the level we expected from a restaurant at this price point.

Live music was enjoyable. Sat and ordered oysters immediately and they never came. 45 minutes later asked for my food and a steak overcooked was delivered a few minutes later. The manager also came over and agreed it was not the temp I ordered. It was nice of them to not charge for the wine but do better. Adding a photo of the Thai food I got at Thonglor across the street which is amazing!

I know this restaurant is a chain - but at this location it feels like a chain. I ordered a $70 filet medium and it came to my table completely grey. The twice baked potato was once baked, at best and covered in a blanket of cheese. The dirty martini was dirty alright but tasted like dishwater. Best part of the meal was the bread service and blue cheese stuffed olives. Overpriced restaurant - save your money or go to a better steakhouse.
