Annyeong to whoever sees this!! Hands down the BEST korean restaurant as always! If you love KFOOD, this is the place to be! Their portions and prices are fair and great!! servers, cooks, owners are all so nice korean people which i love seeing! Love love their ppl and culture—Meaning you can really get a taste of authentic korean home-made food right here 😩🫶🏻 nothing artificial nor commercialized unlike any other upscale kfood restos! No bias! if u love raw beef (like steak tartare), their yuk hwe is a must!! SUPER DELICIOUS AND PORTION IS OVERLY BIG 🥰 best part is, they give you free fried dumplings on the house which is very sweet of them! Now, this is top tier real customer service ❤️ my husband and i always leave with our hearts and tummy full & happy!
This is my probably thousand times coming here hahahaha I just love the food so much and I love to say hi to everyone there! They are all ones of the most wonderful people I have ever met; very friendly and very smiley 😊 We ordered the same things we usually ordered as well; Dok Bokki, Daeji Bulkoki, Jap Chae and Seafood tofu soup 🍜 They are all soooooo good and tasty as always!!!!! 😋😋😋 Thank you so much for always filling our stomach with good and tasty food. I really feel like mama’s home cooking ❤️❤️❤️ The ambiance is so cozy and comfy; really feel like home 🏡 Highly recommended this Korean place as I think it is the best one in SF we have ever tried. We have been living here for always 10 years now and we will come back for more!! 🥰🥰
Best casual Korean food in Sf. They gave us two extra dishes on the house which I was debating ordering earlier but didn’t. It’s like they knew!
Tasty food, good value for price. I ordered the bibimbap to go and received two plastic containers filled with an assortment of side dishes, along with a small takeout box with rice. Everything was really tasty and my order was ready in just a few minutes. I paid less than $20 and I would visit again. If you're dining in, there's plenty of seating, but it's a popular place, so it might be tougher later into the evening.
Nestled in the quiet Inner Richmond, this homey Korean restaurant is definitely underrated. All the food we ordered was like someone’s Korean grandma cooked it for us. Portions were great, all the eemos were friendly, and I would say this is as authentic as you can get. Don’t waste your time on overpriced Korean food elsewhere! (Not pictured is the Soft Tofu Soup. It was healing :)
This place has a lot of nice options of Korean food. The staff is friendly and they usually give you free small appetizers and even a soup! The gyoza 🥟 and beef ribs are my favorites! 👌🏼 it is a small family restaurant, so sometimes the service is slow
UPDATE 7/2022: They recently renovated the whole place so it's now got a more modern aesthetic. They also raised the price of their menu items but I still find the food to be worth it! A quaint little neighborhood restaurant with a very homey and cozy atmosphere. It's usually empty when I go there in the evenings, but it gets pretty packed on holidays and weekends. They have a descriptive and illustrated menu. Good food with generous portions and complimentary sides. Service is really good. Seated and served water right away. Wait time after ordering is usually around 5-10 mins, 5 mins for the side dishes and not much longer for the main. Great place, been here several times for dinner.
I have been thinking for a long time if I should write this review. Because the place is exceptional in all area and we just wanna keep it for ourselves, but that would be such a selfish thought! Everyone should be able to taste good food because that is the happiest part in life for many of us :) This place has everything you ever asked for. They are family-owned restaurant and my husband and I love Korean food. We have tried so many and agreed on this one as the best one in SF! The taste is just right, not too tasty but tasty, not too spicy but spicy. All the tastes are balanced out so perfectly! Speaking of the environment and service, it feels like they are family to us! They are such a cute and kind family and I think kindness is kinda hard to find these days. We are so lucky we have lived just 2 blocks away from the restaurant. We would come here every week and every other week because we miss the food and we miss everyone who works there so much ♥️ If you love Korean food, you should not miss this place. It will be another perfect spot for you. It tastes just like mama’s home cooking to me 🥰 I would give 10 stars if they have 10 stars for us to fill! We’ll be back for more!!! 🫶🏻
A homey neighborhood place. The BEST Korean food my husband and I have had for awhile. Very friendly service. It took no time for all the hot dishes to arrive. Will definitely come back.
Excellent service and delicious food!! Bulgogi was great and they gave us complimentary mandu. Very homey interior and quick food prep time - will definitely come back
Excellent Korean food, exceptional Yukhwe for those who enjoy raw beef Korean style preparation. Only a few places sell this dish, it is fresh and very good quantity at a reasonable price compared to Korea. Highly recommend the seafood pachun and soups. Very good and friendly staff. The owner is very generous with the food portions. Sometimes you receive a complementary dish. I highly recommend this Korean restaurant in the sunset Area.
I started eating immediately because I couldn’t wait! The pictures show the food missing a few bites! Haha! Delicious! The sautéed spicy pork belly was rich and perfect with rice. The cold noodles chewy and tasty. Old school decor felt just right. Nothing flashy. The food spoke for itself. I think the server is also the proprietor. Friendly and asked if we needed to replenish our banchai. I will be back.
Ajummas hard at work at this casual Korean restaurant and we can taste it in their food. Great portions, no frills banchans, tasty selection of menu items. Definitely my go to place when I don't fee like cooking💯 맛있습니다 근처 한x관보다 몇배는 더 맛있어요.
This place is it. If you’re looking for cozy Korean food with a solid array of soup options, look no further, this place is it. I’ve been here once to try various soups (unpictured), and they were great. This time, I tried their bibimbap and tofu soup. Also fantastic. The bibimbap comes sizzling in its stone pot and gets crispy if you let it sit. Complementary banchan and fried mandoo. Service is also very responsive and attentive. Clean tables.
Everything was great! The food, staff, ambience. Its a cute little restaurant, perfect for families and friends. The staff was super accommodating and they altered the dishes for us since most of us don’t eat red meat. We tried the Soft Tofu, Duk Boki, Korean Kimchi Pancakes and Bibimbap. Each dish was great, the bibimbap was a little bland but the sides made up for that.

Stumbled upon this Korean place after having a craving for spicy tofu soup! The staff were so welcoming and patient! They actually gave us a free gyoza when we went for lunch and ordered 2 entrees. The side dishes were prepared so delicately and were delicious! Can’t wait to come back next time!

A nice and warm place to have Korean food. Highly recommend the pan fried yellow fish. BBQ short ribs are great too. The owner gave us a complimentary tofu soup to entertain us.

My favorite Korean restaurant I've been to in SF 🥹 Standouts included the soft tofu soup (regular with beef), grilled mackerel, and the oyster jeon (SO GOOD. Never tried this before and it was AMAZING) Loved the homey atmosphere as well. Can't wait to come back!
Unbelievable experience. Every single dish in the banchan was divine. The rice cakes are absolutely to die for. The hot barley tea was a fabulous touch.
As a Korean born and raised in Seoul, I found the dishes of this place the most authentic Korean in SF. Other upscale Korean restaurants in SF like San Ho Won and Ban Sang tends to be either ridiculously overpriced or only Korean-inspired rather than being Korean. This place, though not necessarily fancy, reminds me of the Korean dishes as I know them.
A small neighborhood business located on the SW corner of 5th Avenue and Balboa in the Richmond District. Driven by many times and decided to grab the lunch special. Two lunch combos: 1) spicy pork and tofu soup, and 2) bulgogi and tofu soup. I ordered about 1pm and it was ready quick - within 10 mins. Flavor for both were decent although the bulgogi could have used some more flavoring. Although I got it to go, the tofu soup was still piping hot by the time I got it back to work and ate it! I like my soup hot so that was a bonus for me. With they could have given us a little more baan chaan on the sides because there nice and fresh. The veggies were full of crunch and I liked their kim chi. Next time because their veggies were so good I’m going to try the bibimbap!

The seafood pancake was definitely the best, it had a chewy center and good amount of crust. But most importantly, they actually packed it with seafood unlike other restaurants. The tofu soup was good, not overly impressive, only had abit of beef. You get a decently large amount of food for the price, but regardless it’s still expensive and NOT $20-30 per person.
