Very friendly and nice staff. They barely speak English but understand enough to serve you. Their cookies: both almond and walnut are the best I’ve had in San Francisco. Even better than the other bakeries around. Also their walnut cream layered cake is really good and I highly recommend this one instead of the similar looking cake from other bakeries in the neighborhood. Also tried the green onion twist bread but I didn’t care for it. It looks more delicious than what it tastes like. Their pineapple buns are really good though. Also their cream horns with the cherry and egg tarts are very good. Been trying the pound cake here, it’s so good. I highly recommended that one. It reminds me of a Mexican pound cake. It’s nice and moist, topped with walnuts.
I really enjoy the onion rolls and pork buns from here! I found out about them through a China Town tour I took when my relatives were visiting and have been back many times since! They are a cash only establishment but the prices are very cheap! I’ve spent about $5 per person for buns here.
My go-to place for silky tofu and deserts. Good quality and friendly staff.
So far I've tried the egg Tarts which were delicious and three of them are only $1.75. The onion rolls are buttery while warm and very delicious. The sweet pork buns are great value as well. It's normally pretty packed with locals and some of them will cut in front of you in line if you look confused but overall it's a fantastic cheap experience if you're in North Beach area
Tasty egg tarts and milk tea

best egg tarts ever! Grew up eating these. Might be one of the only places in SF with cookie crust egg tarts. If you’re lucky, you can get fresh egg tarts that are still warm 🥰 Very kind people too
Great traditional snacks and baked goods! The staff were incredibly kind—especially the short-haired lady who gently let me know my dress was stained (period mishap) and kindly offered the restroom. So grateful for the warmth and hospitality!
Best BBQ pork bun I've ever had! Do be prepared for service in English to be unavailable. Despite that, it is still very possible to order through a bit of broken communication.

This little bakery/restaurant is on Pacific Avenue and is not in the heart of Chinatown. They have a good menu for lunch especially bitter melon with fish slices over rice and seafood pan fried chow mein. Their melon cookies, egg tarts, onion and oil twists, BBQ pork buns and sweet cream rolls are fresh and delicious from the bakery. The owners are nice and provide good customer service. I stop by with seniors occasionally to have coffee as often as possible. Wouldn't acknowlege and post if it weren't true.
The decoration is outdated, surprisingly the foods are tasty. Highly recommended the bread, delicious with reasonable prices. Friendly service. Will come back again.
The restaurant was full at lunchtime on a Monday. There was a short wait before I was seated. I ordered a wonton soup $8 and a crispy tomato beef noodles $13.75. It took about five minutes for the soup to come out and another 15 minutes for the crispy noodles to arrive. The wontons were tasty with pieces of minced meat and shrimp. As for the crispy noodles, the chef messed it up. I asked for less sauce and it came out smothered. Most of the noodles were already soggy. There's no sense in ordering crispy noodles if the chef is going to do that. There's only one waitress for the entire restaurant. Service is slow but I don't blame her. Pro tip, the restroom key is tied to a tin can on the bakery counter.
This place has the most addictive salted green onion bread!! I can eat a whole box in one sitting, when I go to SF, I always have to drop by this bakery for some amazing green onion bread .

This eatery is very clean and the service was friendly and excellent, especially compared to most other Chinese eateries in general. We (as people from HK and Taiwan) enjoyed our noodles and will definitely come back again

This is an old school Chinese restaurant from few generations ago, my B.B.Q. bun and Pinapple both were nice, warm and tasty just coming out of the oven. The counter lady was fine, she was polite for a Chinese restaurant 🤣. My only surprise was the price. It was $2 for each of the buns, I feel it was a bit pricey for the location.

I was raised around SF Chinatown and being an ABC with my white husband and mixed son, we were ignored for a while, since she kept skipping me since my son asked for the bathroom. Bathrooms are for customers which we were clearly trying to be. When I finally got her attention to order, she kept repeating my order in Chinese (yes I am ABC). I expect some rudeness from my people but this was off the charts. Not going back here even tho I love some of their baos.

No good for tourists. They don’t speak English. The waiter was very rude when I try to ask something. I paid and when I was in the door she scream to me that i didn’t leave tip. I leve 2 dlls and went. But that money was a gift bc the attention was very bad. The food was regular, without any flavor

I go there every other week to buy my green onion buns and it’s a hit or miss, some days there will be good amount of green onions and there are times when they are quite stingy. And I buy 6-7 green onion buns each time so it’s not like they skim on 1 or 2 buns and you won’t able to see what you get since they put the buns in the back corner. But why I will have to stop coming here anymore is because of their rude servers, especially the lady with the medium length hair. Everytime I am there, I can see her just yelling at her customers even at elderly. And from time to time I wouldn’t need a 10 cent bag but she would give me the death stare each time and one time she would say it’s only .10 cent, and said to me why wouldn’t you need a bag. And I had to explain myself that I can carry the buns with no problem, it’s not the bag price, I just don’t need the bag to waste. I have no use for it. I don’t know why she likes to make a big fuss over such small things.
I left a review here saying how great the food was. I've came in multiple times, I always tip. I come back in again the larger women is always slow with serving. No big deal. They need 3 servers. But I asked her to add noodles to my wonton soup. It's just noodles, she screamed so load at me everyone turned around. " NO NO NO TO LATE, WHY YOU WANT IT NOW" you're at work you shouldn't be screaming. This was the first time I left with out tipping in my life. She really need to work on that. I have social anxiety, I can't even go into Starbucks. Not ok to scream over noodles when I'm paying you.
Ordered a “fresh made soy milk” to go. The lady poured me a store bought left over. The whole cup tastes like spoiled old fridge. Gross experience, no wonder this place is empty while next door is over crowded. 3.75 dollars in the trash. Shop lies and the drink is gross!
Rudest people - the two women in their 40s/50s are horrible. Deliberately not mark prices on bakery items so you have to ask, and when you ask for the prices, they act as if you’ve done something wrong by not buying without knowing the prices. Me, in Cantonese: “Excuse me, which flavors of Swiss rolls do you have?” (There are ~5 different ones) Her: “Which flavor do you want to buy?!” Me: “How much is a Swiss roll?” Her, annoyed: “But which one are you buying?! Roll or a piece?!” Instead of simply answering, every question was responded with an annoyed question. Conversation was so stupid I think I came out of the shop as a stupider person. I thanked her like 20 times for answering my questions. She did not say a thank you for my $30+ purchase. Honestly food isn’t bad and I’ve returned a few times, but with this abusive service attitude, I won’t go anymore and I wish them no business.
It was full of Chinese people, and we thought it had to be a good place for lunch. But beef noodlle soup smells like a fish, instead of beef there sinews and trimmings. The rest room was closed and disgusted. The waitress shouted, " Too small tip!!!" 5 times till we gave her 5 dollars more. Never go to this place.
