Very good pho. The pho broth was very flavorful even before I added the herbs. The noodles were all broken apart, but not too bad. We also tried the fried wings with fish sauce. It's sweet, crunchy, and tasty, but the wings were kinda small.
Delicious Vietnamese food! Authentic food, restaurant, and staff. Wife loved the Bún bò Huế. I had the grilled pork with rice, tender and flavorful.
Went to Saigon BBQ on a foggy Sunday with friends, and was able to get in a few minutes before they reopened for dinner. Service was fast, and the food was simply amazing. Veggie summer rolls had crisp, hot tofu. My dish, the 72 (Bun 5 Mon) featured fried egg roll, shredded pork, BBQ shrimp, bbq pork, and bbq chicken. Absolute fire dish for $16.95! My friends enjoyed their veggie pho, stir-fried tofu on rice, as well as the 79 - BBQ Chicken with fried egg roll. Also big shoutout to them selling 12 oz bottles of Sapporo for $4.95! Cozy, functional atmosphere - not necessarily ready for a date night unless she's a down one. Would 5/5 recommend.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and fast! Love the pork ribs very much! Everything was great price and delicious
Great atmosphere delicious food will definitely eat there again seafood noodles so good excellent Thai tea
This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The food is out of this world, and trust me, I’m picky. It’s some of the best Vietnamese I’ve ever had in the Bay Area, and the portions are massive, especially for the price. The owner is incredibly kind, and the service is top-notch. I’ll definitely be back!
This is the third time ordering the BBQ chicken pho takeout 🍜 and let me tell you this is SOOOO GOOD! The broth has so much flavor, the chicken is well seasoned, tender and delicious. The portions are big! Here is a photo of my takeout at the beginning and then added more broth and still was a full plate! I can eat this for two meals lunch and dinner that’s how much it is. Love love this place and highly recommend their takeout!
Updated review 4/4/2025: We wanted to do Saigon BBQ's make-your-own rice wraps. We started with #9 shrimp salad $14 and a #12 crepe w/shrimp, pork, onions and bean sprouts $14. The make-your-own rice wraps we ordered were #69 woven rice vermicelli, bbq pork, beef, egg roll, prawns with vegetables $38 and #70 woven rice vermicelli, shrimp paste on sugar cane $39. The #70 grilled shrimp paste is an acquired taste. Our Caucasian friend didn't like it. The #69 woven rice vermicelli with BBQ meats was pretty good. Each person gets their own fish sauce and peanut sauce. The meal was finished with a #63 seafood claypot $17. No complaints with the food. Service was excellent. Original review: My review is based on their seafood crispy noodles $14. While the food tasted OK, I left the restaurant hungry. The crispy noodles only occupied the center diameter of the plate. For the size of this dish, they maybe should have put this under the appetizer section. It felt small to me. Service was fine. I ended up walking over to the fried chicken place a couple of blocks down to ease the hunger pains.
This place is insane. The food is unreal and I’m pretty critical. Some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had in the Bay and the portions are huge especially for the value. The owner is so nice and the service is great. Will be back ✨
First time Saigon BBQ Noodle House - our friend has been there many times. Two people ate Pho and I ate the ckn fried rice combo. Everything good especially the service.
One of my favorites. Well priced and really good food! I've loved every dish I've order and have become a weekly regular. I don't feel ripped off. It's a family-owned business and it shows in the welcoming customer service. The atmosphere is chill and clean. No bells and whistles. Just good quality comfort food. I prefer this place over the popular, expensive one next door 1000%!
Came here for lunch with my family and it was our first time coming here! We got pho, sweet and sour catfish soup, and pork with garlic noodles. The food was really good and staff was super nice!
Definitely my new go to viet restaurant. I saw this place was new and had really good reviews. I noticed that they had recently opened for indoor dining and decided to try it out. Their entrance is on the side of the restaurant and not the door on the actual sidewalk. The restaurant is really big with a lot of tables. We were seated immediately. We ordered the imperial rolls, pho with meat balls, and bun rieu. The imperial rolls were only okay and only came with three in an order. However, their bun rieu was one of the best I've had, comparable with those I've had in San Jose. I think the flavor is really good and the quality of the ingredients is very high. The pho is also really tasty, with amazing broth and good quality beef. I've visited this restaurant multiple times now and they are very appreciative of the business as they opened during the pandemic. It seems a lot of people order take out here, but not too many have eaten inside. They have a lot of traditional Vietnamese dishes that I hope to try in the future.

Fair price and food was good, however the customer service was alright, it was excellent at the beginning maybe we went during their lunch break but after refill one time water it never happened again, hopefully they will improve that, but the owner try so hard to make sure everything is ok. Recommend this place if you looking for something not going to go wrong but don’t expect anything to stand out either.

I have been coming to this place for years and the food never disappoints. The owners are always so welcoming. I wish I come to SF more often to come be able to eat here on regular basis
Another great meal today. We had sour fish soup, beef stew and Bún bò Hue. We are picky since my mother in law makes all this at home. All meals were delicious! Service was also very friendly! Would certainly recommend and return!!
Saigon noodle house is my go to for Pho. Everyone goes to "Kevin's " , but Saigon is much better!! Their broth is on point, all their dishes are delicious!! Kevin's is mediocre, compared to Saigon. The family run place is warm and welcoming. I go to Saigon at least 2x a month. It's really good!!
Tucked into a competitive stretch of Vietnamese eateries in the Sunset District, *Saigon BBQ Noodle House* might not catch your eye at first glance. From the outside, it reads like your classic hole-in-the-wall—modest signage, no-frills exterior, and prices that whisper “budget-friendly.” But don’t be fooled. Step inside, and you’re met with a surprisingly renovated interior: clean lines, warm lighting, and tasteful murals that feel more like quiet homage than decorative filler. The service? Impeccable. Our waiter was not only courteous but refreshingly attentive—asking thoughtful questions about allergens and ingredients (yes, even flagging the presence of pig’s blood in one dish, which we appreciated). It felt like care, not just compliance. We ordered the **Bún Bò Huế** and the **Green Papaya Chicken Salad**, and both arrived in generous portions that could easily feed two. The meat was high-quality and plentiful, the vegetables crisp and vibrant, and the broth—deep, fragrant, and layered with flavor. This wasn’t just a meal; it was a quiet masterclass in balance and generosity. A moment of communal foreshadowing: an older woman at a nearby table was absolutely *demolishing* a Vietnamese crêpe with the kind of gusto that makes you trust a stranger’s taste. We’ll be ordering that next time, no question. In a neighborhood where options abound, *Saigon BBQ* doesn’t shout—it earns your loyalty with quiet excellence. We’re so glad we trusted our instincts and walked past the first place we saw. This one’s a keeper.
Saigon BBQ Noodle House is one of my favorite go-tos for Vietnamese in San Francisco. The pho has a rich, aromatic broth that hits the spot every time, and their garlic noodles are garlicky without being overwhelming. Portions are large ‒ you’ll definitely leave full. The banh mi has a soft chewy bread that complements all the fillings perfectly, and even the simpler dishes show freshness in the ingredients. Service is warm and unpretentious — staff make you feel welcome immediately. The space is casual, which makes it nice for relaxed meals, but it can get busy and a little loud at peak times. Overall price is reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend if you want authentic Vietnamese without frills.

Went here to try out their sandwiches. We ordered the Grilled Pork sandwich and Tofu sandwich. Pork banh mi was flavorful and the bread was soft and chewy. Also asked for extra sauce in case there wasn’t enough (recommended). Had there been more pickled vegetables it would have been even better! Otherwise, solid 4 stars! The workers were very nice as well.

Came here for early dinner. Place was easy to find and parking was fuss free. The place is nothing to shout but the food is good. I had the dried egg noodle which is my yardstick for quality of condiments, noodle texture, sauce and the meat. Everything else on the menu looks like standard Vietnamese fare. Would return when in area.
I like limes in my pho, but they only had lemons (verified with server). I like chili oil to make my pho spicy, but they only had siracha and hoison sauce. I love adding a lot of spring onions and cilantro to my pho. There was not much cilantro on the herb platter and very little spring onions in the soup (count how many you see in my bowl). I get skimping on expensive meats, but why are so many pho places skimping on herbs that are relatively cheap. For southern style pho, I wouldn't recommend this place.
