Ahhh I felt like I was in a thriving city in a swanky lounge for drinks and getting dolled up felt nice. San Francisco can be super laid back for drinking. I approve of this place being a former big city gal from Texas. Service was great and drinks were tasty! Mezcal Paloma was my favorite!

The drinks were so good that we ordered a (not pictured) third round. The fresh garnish on each drink was such a pleasant surprise. Not sure why people are upset there's no food. It's a bar, not a restaurant. The regular and Halloween decorations were so cute. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

If you’re looking for a great cocktail bar, this is the place! Every drink I’ve had has been flavorful and well balanced (though I think I’m mostly happy because they make spicy cocktails - my fave). Highly recommend but be warned: this bar gets packed!

I love sugar for so many reasons: - happy hour specials - daily specials - Friday’s daily special is a not too sweet, but v dangerous strawberry margarita - comfy couches - low lighting - not quite divey, but also zero pretentiousness - chips when they first open, snack size candy all night (at end of bar) Their Paloma & Richmond gimlet are my go-to if I’m there on a day of week that isn’t Friday (strawb marg special) Be careful with the well liquor lol if you’re a liquor snob ask before they make your drink ;)

Came in on a Sunday night. There were people but it wasn't super crowded. I ordered a richmond gimlet, my friend ordered a chocolate man-tini. Her drink was made second and had pieces of mint in it. I complained and the bartender laughed and brushed me off saying "oh, those are pieces of mint from the other drink. My bad, happens sometimes." Didn't offer to fix it, didn't acknowledge that it was gross that he hadn't properly washed out the tin, plus allergy worries. Makes me wonder about the quality and cleanliness of anything else from that bartender. I did enjoy my drink and the vibes of the bar, but that experience really rubbed me the wrong way. Edit: The manager reached out and was extremely understanding and accomidating. He ensured my future experiences here would be much more positive!

Love this place! So many good memories here, it's a staple of the neighborhood. Have I had a better espresso martini elsewhere? Of course, but love it anyway.

Fun cool vibe. Great place to hang out. Drinks were great and bartenders friendly. Plus you get to choose your own songs through a jukebox app.

Cool spot we found after visiting the SF Symphony. Music over the speakers was great and the lounge atmosphere proved easy-going. Cool set of drinks being promoted that our crew stuck to.

Nice bar with reasonable amount of seating. Saturday at 7-ish there was no crowd, but by 9 there were a few loud groups and the music also got louder.
