After reading Matt Y.'s review, I came here to try their carnitas. He is 100% right. The carnitas in my taco salad $14 were terrific! The bigger meat pieces were tender and moist. The ends were crispy with bits of crunchy strands. The rest of the taco salad wasn't bad either. They use chopped pieces of romaine lettuce on top of beans and rice. Love that fresh lettuce snap when I bite into it. As for the edible tortilla bowl, this tasted fresh and not stale like some other establishments. It was fluffy and breaks apart easily when I pulled on it. There was a good balance of guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and cheese. It came with free chips & salsa. Bring a jacket. They leave the front door open and it was freezing tonight at 8pm. This is the type of taqueria where you order and pay at the cashier. My food came out within 15 minutes. There are a couple of options, but I chose this taqueria because there is construction going on and I wanted to give them business as I know that can make it a challenge. This decision paid off! I got a carnitas and refried bean burrito with Verde sauce. It was perfection! I was greeted with a smile and good service. At least while under construction, I don't think this is a handicap accessible option.

Pozole pork soup! Good flavor..pork was real tender! Came with cabbage, radish and half a lime. Two pieces of fried tortilla and chips too!

Very fast and friend service. I’ve had the Asada Tacos and Caldo de pollo so far, both were excellent. I intend to come back to check out what else is great on the menu.

This is a good traditional Mexican restaurant. Normally the traditional ones don't do justice to burritos/quesadillas and tacos compared to the California style, but this place is good. The meats and service was on point. The red salsa was a bit disappointing but green was good

You don't have many options for 🌮🌯 in this neighborhood, Portola. This place satisfies. I've had torta, chicken salad and some tacos. Burritos are not my fav in general so I cannot recommend

Is good! One if the few places where you can get vegan food in San Bruno. Just remember to ask a veggie burrito with no cheese or sour cream.

They serve things that aren't on the menu also like fish burrito or tacos so if you don't see something you want just ask if they have it. Nice little place reasonable price.

Their burrito is good. I like the fact how it doesnt get messy. Green salsa is awesome with a mini kick to it. Their chips are not that great tho.

I had the regular al Pastor Burrito with black beans for 9.95. It was good but I'm used to a little more charred flavor. I like both of their salsas, red and green. Both tasted very fresh.

This is a nice spot, my favorite in the neighborhood. They have good extra options too. Nice staff and quick preparation. Brritos are hit or miss, sometimes meat is good quality and there's good flavor overall, other times there is a ton of grissle fat and bland flavor throughout. The plates are interesting as well. I recommend the hotter brown sauce they have if the red and green aren't enough for you.

I've eaten there once and the food is average not authentic to me. But this time I went with a friend who loved her chicken burrito. I didn't order order anything and wouldn't score it as high as she would have.

Little pricey, one thing that disappointed me was the $2 taco happy hour.. the tacos are half the size of the normal tacos and only a doller less. Don't advertise $2 tacos that aren't the same portion as your normal tacos, i believe thats FALSE ADVERTISING. Other then that i love the food, great tacos and the soups are AMAZING, thats the only reason I give them 3 stars.

My burrito was cross-contaminated with things that were not supposed to be in it. My guess is their kitchen isn't very clean. I would not be surprised if they got shut down after their next health inspection. Would not recommend

I got Nacho's, and I did not like it. Beans were good, but WAY too much of toppings. It was like I was eating a taco salad instead of Nacho's.

I was very disappointed because the place had a 5+ rating; what a falsehood. The food was of poor quality & not flavorful. I ordered a carne asado burrito which totally lacked in Mexican spices or flavor. The meat was tough, there was way too much crema, the guac was a green, watery, tasteless liquid, and the rice was scarce and had the smallest grain that was overcooked. And I waited a long time for my order. Will never go back there.

He insisted again that they were two for a dollar and that he would give me one this time but next time I need to pay for 2… ykw never mind no thanks I won’t be coming back a 3rd time just to feel some type of way about something else.

I ordered the biria. I thought it was beef but in fact was goat. I went back, the cashier said it’s goat and never offered a refund nor an exchange. I would never eat here again.

Dont trust a restaurant that doesnt list actual ingredients, baith and swich, or just doesnt include all listed in it, false expectation, Ingredients are not alk included as stated, charges a bag fee without asking, charges a health care fee, tax, and says menu is mistake on what it includes yet they still have them for customers, along with wrong prices.No salt or pepper packs, (no lime not manidory or listed but usual as is seasoning to go) I recieved a taco in a to-go box, salsa & chips, all ingredients but without rice on it, i showed menu to cashier but he stated it was a mistake on menu. He kept looking ip at menu board, then paper menu, instead ogc honoring it and just putting a spoonful of rice as listed. He refused to honor the menu ingredients listed on menu. So i ask for refund, and got my money back but didnt get my tip back. He then threw the food away ASAP. He really did not deserve the tip i gave him. I really think if you Don't want to include the ingredients listed mark it out, honor it, keep the customer. Now i won't ever go back. In todays business you need all the customers you can get. If you like how food is described on menu dont visit this place you have a pretty good chance of not getting what you ordered.
