We were in the neighborhood and found them had good reviews. Their Xiao Long Bao were excellent both the steamed version and the pan fried version. Also had chicken dumpling buymt wished I had tried the pork dumplings instead. Mushroom tempura is not bad.
We had takeout from United Dumplings and loved it! We tried the shrimp, pork, vegetable, and chicken mushroom truffle dumplings , all were delicious and full of flavor. Definitely a spot we’d come back to on our next visit!
We really loved United Dumplings! Cute place with a lovely little outdoor parklet. The service was super fast, friendly, and attentive. Food was really solid! Good to great flavors, nice presentation, generous servings. Some of our favorites: String beans: super yummy, rich flavors, lightly crunchy texture, just yum! Crispy silken tofu: sooo pillowy soft and tender in this really thin delicate fried shell. The sauce was banging. Xiao long bao: probably the most brothy Xiao long bao I've ever had. So juicy! I will say not the best broth I've had, but still really good. Could use a bit more flavor for my preference. Dan dan noodles: yummy! Not much more to say, cool silky noodles, delicious meaty sauce, crunchy peanuts, just good! Bulgogi dumplings: Dumplings texture was so good. Really soft, perfect filling amount. Least favorite: Chili wontons:. Just a bit boring, which is surprising. I've had this dish many places and this was one of the most mild I've ever tried. No heat at all, very little chili flavor, that smokiness you expect, just a bit bland. Turkey shrimp dumplings:. Probably just personal preference on this one. We've never had anything like it so had to try, but just did not like at all. I tried it with several sauces trying to improve the flavor but it was a big no for me. The texture was good though, super juicy and tender filling.
Had threse three dishes: happy family cucumber, pork soup dumplings, and mapo tofu. All very good. We went for lunch so the place was not busy.
I read about United Dumplings and they did not disappoint. The dumplings were huge and meaty, the Chinese broccoli cooked to perfection as was the fried mushrooms. I will definitely be back!
Awesome dumpling place in San Francisco. My friend and I had a really great meal here, I took some pictures with my camera. We mainly ordered some recommended on the menu like dumplings, potstickers, XLB and stir-fried veggies. They were all delicious and delicately cooked. My favourite is the pork soup XLB, it was juicy and tasty. The potstickers were also very good, they were very much like fried dumplings, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Strong Recommendation!
Fantastic dumplings. We had Dan Dan Noodles, Mission Chicken Pot Stickers (which were yummy!), Tempura Mushrooms, Sichuan Mala Pork Soup Dumplings XLB, Sichuan Dumplings in red oil, Five Spice Tempura Silken Tofu. I usually don't like spicy food but the spice level was manageable.
The best dumpling place in SF when considering value as a function of price and quality. The menu has less items than some of the other bigger name places, but they have the classics i crave and the items they do have are spot on (all the dishes, not just dumplings). My typical order consists of XLB, Spicy wontons, green beans and usually a noodle and meat dish. P.s. if you think a delicate and thin XLB skin is a sign of skill, they don’t get more delicate than here.
Just have to say that the food was scrumptious! Ordered dumplings, potstickers and the famous Dan Dan noodles, finished off with the sesame balls with red bean paste. The atmosphere and the service, both were amazing. This one should be on your must visit list! Follow up - Nov 26, 2024 The food and the service (Angelica thank you!) was really good! This time we got the chicken and mushroom dumplings, the veg dumplings, the veg spring rolls and the vegetable fried rice. The fried rice was very simple and yet the best we've had so far! I think I know my staple menu now - dan dan noodles, Sichuan dumplings, fried rice and the sesame balls!

The curry chicken rice was amazing. 8.9/10. The garlic broccoli was equally as good. The pot stickers are a big yes. The bao was okay. I'm not a fan but a lot of bread or sweet good. But all in all is a solid place to eat.
Similar to the other reviews, the food was tasty and enjoyable but there was nothing spectacular or remarkable about the food. The service was excellent given the circumstances. We loved the soft and crunchy tofu appetizer. It was a good balance of flavor. The skin for the Scallop and Chicken Bao was much thicker than we were expecting, especially for a Xiao Long Bao. It was more closer to a "potsticker" skin. The hot tea add-on was nice and aesthetic but it quickly turned bitter so we didn't enjoy as much of it as we liked. Next time we might decide to try more of the dumpling dishes given that they might be more known for those. Overall it was a good experience. A little on the pricier side but there's not many other Asian options in that area. Maybe when indoor dining opens, we won't have to worry about the tumbling of the buses to bother us.
Haven’t been to the neighborhood in a while and noodles was the craving of the day so United dumplings got the bid. I arrived when they opened so it wasn’t busy and pretty much had the spot to myself. I ordered the Sichuan Dan Dan noodles. A cold dish that hits the spot every time. Also ordered the wontons in Chilli oil. Both dishes hit the spot and I would definitely dine here again.
This was our first time at United Dumplings. Just a few minutes walk from our Airbnb, so we decided to try it out. We ordered the Sautéed Pea Shoots, Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Sichuan Wonton, and the Seafood Stir Fried Noodles. The food was excellent, and the service was great.

Im a sucker for good dumplings and years of living in HK set the bar higher than what united dumplings served up. I only tried four of their dishes, the grandma pork dumplings, the Sichuan wonton, the sui mai and their har goa. So the grandma pork by texture is not bad but served up with just a bit of soy sauce. This dumpling needs some good chilli oil and some chives or thin sliced green onion to bring out the flavor. I d ask for the chilly oil but even the chilly oil lacked flavor and spice. The Sichuan wontons weren't bad but lacked the spice level. Sichuan is well known for spicy dishes ... What happened here? The sui mai and har gao were insane by size but size doesn't make up for flavor. Good old saying, less is more. The atmosphere of this place is cold and rather sterile, it could use either some colors or dim the lights a bit. Make it warm and inviting and enhance the flavors...
The pea shoots with garlic were delicious. But the pork soup dumplings were lacking in texture, taste, and appearance: I guess they were machine made and frozen?

Unfortunately the vegetable dumplings were bland and damp and the dan dan noodles were ok but the tofu was cold inside. This place might be getting too busy and lacking the ability to provide consistently good tasting food. But their service people are good. I hope they monitor their food output more closely.
Food is pretty decent once you lowered your standard to the fact that sichuan esq food in SF is mostly meh (compared to NY anyway) but their service is slow. We ordered food for pickup one time and it took literally an hour to get it on Tuesday night when they weren’t nowhere near busy. shouldn’t be tough to get some premade dumplings right.

The food is good. However I wouldn’t recommend the place. The service is very slow and chaotic. You can read through other reviews which mention it. There was just one person managing the front desk, cleaning the table and managing the orders. We waited 15 mins before our order was taken and had to wait another 45 mins before we got any of our food. There was a point where literally everyone sitting in the restaurant were waiting for their food. By the time we got all our food it was 1.5 hours. The orders were also not handled in order, so even though we had ordered the same fried rice or broccolini as the other table that came later, they got it earlier, since they lost track of which orders came first. They need to find ways to speed up the service, and fix the order system.
I had the Dan Dan noodles to go with good prompt service. However although generous with the noodles the amount of sauce given was very stingy and I counted 4 bok choy leafs. For the price along with a tip I found it very disappointing as the sauce barely covered the noodles.
What happened to the creative menu items? We were here a couple weeks ago and were disappointed to find that it has become a very mediocre dumpling spot, especially for SF standards. The soup dumplings were especially disappointing, as they were small, definitely not hand made (extremely even shapes and the folds didn't even look like folds but like stamped ripples), and the thick wraps were torn in a couple of them. At least the fillings tasted fine. The grandma dumplings were better, but again, nothing special.
