Best latte on union street! Not much space to hang out and enjoy your latte, but still a frequent spot for me.
Overall this seems like a great spot. To be direct, we did a quick stop in so I'm giving it a 5-stars but can't go in depth much since it was a quick stop. I tried their Guatemalan coffee that was sold to me as more Earthy. It certainly seemed that way but I didn't try their other one to compare. I had it black, no cream or sugar. We stopped by on a Saturday morning and it was very busy which we took to be a good sign! Just know, you may wait 20-30 minutes on a weekend morning. Enjoy 😊
Cute neighborhood cafe. Pour over was not as good as I wanted it to be, but I am sure their espresso drinks are great
If you're looking for a great cup of coffee not a place to hang out this is the place to go. There's limited seating and this extremely well stuffed small coffee shop. Excellent espresso drinks as well as pour overs. And it looks like they're adding machka tea lattes to their menu. They only have a few baked goods but from what I sampled they're all very tasty.
Just made it to the shop! Best cortado in the state and awesome baristas. 10 stars. Ordered some beans all the way across the country in NC. They were roasted and at my door two days later. Makes great espresso! Cheers
I’d say pretty confidently that Wrecking Ball is the best coffee in the neighborhood, but the catch is the space itself is pretty small. There are only a few small seating areas outside the shop, so if you’re looking to sit down and park for a while you may need to venture elsewhere, but if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee on the go, this is your spot.
Enjoyed my latte here. The seasonal rose syrup was a nice addition.
Great little Boutique roaster. Very cool shop with Marla Bakery pastries and friendly and extremely competent people. My go to shop in the neighborhood for high-end coffee and excellent cappuccino.

We love their coffee and so do our clients! Always delicious!!!! If you’re needing a little coffee, latte, caffeine pick me up don’t hesitate to enjoy a beverage from wrecking ball!!
I used to frequent Saint Franks up the street on Polk. Wrecking Ball has demolished my desire to go there by comparison. The staff: Dylan, Roe, Karina, Fabiyone, Lee, and JT all emulate a similar vibe (apologies if i misspell ya'lls names). I've never felt shamed for making a mistake on my order. They've never made me feel that I need to tip, and when others "forget" to tip - they humbly, venerably, and with such nonchalance write it off as not a big deal at all. BTW ya'll who pretend to not see the tip screen. You may want to factor that into your price of coffee. Especially when comparing the overall price at Wrecking Ball to options up the street. Just saying, be kind and tip your barista just as you tip your bartender. The reason the staff doesn't bat an eye at the lack of occasional tip. Is because they're like the friend who shows up to help you move, claps for you at your graduation, and/or offers a warm smile as a guest at your wedding day. They see the bigger picture and love watching the community flourish around them. Their espresso machine is best in class and category, their skills are the top within a 200 mile radius, and their hospitality is similar to what I've recieved at Michelin 3 restaurants. I even met a group from Jakarta, Indonesia there. Celebrating their countries independence day. They were all fully dressed in cultural attire - so, I asked what they were going to do to celebrate? They said "we heard this place was the best so we came for a coffee and that's how we'll celebrate". We then talked about the world class coffee beans in Sumatra, how undervalued Indonesian labor is, and how the world is changing for the better overall. That conversation could only occur at a place like Wrecking Ball. Thank you all for the Dirty Chais.
As an Aussie from Melbourne, Wrecking Ball was my go to for coffee! One of the better coffee shops in the US that I've been to! I was ordering two extra shots but coffee in the US is made for different tastes. No fault of the coffee itself which was quite nice! Staff were lovely every time I went in.
Best tasting espresso in the area! No matter how busy they get, the staff take their time in making you a great cup of your favorite drink. Giving it 4 stars for ambiance just because there isn't much of a sitting area, mostly to-go.

I stopped by Wrecking Ball coffee on a Wednesday morning and the line outside was already a bit long even though it's early. I had a latte and a butter croissant, both were pretty good although they don't seem to justify the wait and the slightly higher price than what you usually get in the city. Overall it's a cute little coffee shop with a small selection of pastries, nothing stands out but worth a try if you are in the hood.
This place is a solid coffee shop, but rather small. There are no tables to sit down so you are forced to just buy your coffee and leave the shop. I was a little intimidated by the servers as 3 of them are standing in front of the register waiting for my order. I enjoyed the coffee and the quick service though.
In a city full of artisan coffee shops-wrecking ball is my favorite.Expect perfectly roasted and brewed coffee. 👎no heavy cream option 🌺great coffee spot!
No mask no service No wait Cashless payment but not contactless. Coffee was very dark and smooth with a tad acidity but I found it just right. The staff work masks and were nice. I would visit again if I was around the neighborhood.
My friend’s favorite spot for pour over! And her pour over was truly great. My flat white appeared to be cappuccino and I can’t say I liked it. It was ok, I’d say 6/10. The staff is very nice and friendly tho, and the place itself is a tiny peaceful heaven.

This coffeeshop shows up on a lot of lists for coffee in SF. Unfortunately, either the drip nor the latte were right. The coffee itself was just not strong/no flavor. Even if the beans were a light roast, it just did not taste like it was pulled correctly.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was overcome with the feeling that this place was attempting to put on a show. I got the impression that the staff felt like it was their job to teach me. Just what I never quite got. Odd because I travel more than most and visit countless coffee shops and never got that feeling before. Still, the Coffee was good.

I cannot believe they allow so many dogs inside here at one time because they were out of control. If you’re not going to follow health code, at least follow common sense
