Wonderfully healthy buffet that has both south and north Indian cuisine. The buffet is one of the healthiest buffets I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. I just love the people that work here, Sincere and kind. Thank you guys for everything And being so accommodating 🙏🏽
Very pleasant customer service! The food is delicious, flavorful, and not oily or heavy. The staff are humble and respectful, which makes the experience even better. I’ve been here a couple of times and will definitely recommend this restaurant! Easy to find parking and clean bathroom!
I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant—it truly deserves the highest praise. From the moment I walked in, the warm and attentive staff made me feel welcome, and the inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the evening. Every dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor, beautifully presented and showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. The service was impeccable, with staff anticipating needs without ever being intrusive, and the overall attention to detail created a dining experience that felt both special and memorable. This restaurant is a shining example of excellence, and I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional meal. Also the owner Jaiganesh is a delight to work with. Highly recommended for parties and weddings.
The food is always very good. A great variety of options. All curries and the popular butter chicken are great, as well as samosas. Many items are fairly spicy, which I enjoy, but check with the staff to see if you need to request mild. The daily 11am-3pm lunch buffet has lots of options. I really like both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices, and desserts. The pricing is lower compared to other restaurants, while the food quality is better than what the pricing would suggest. Clean, pleasant atmosphere inside. All staff are diligent and hardworking. The servers don't come up every five minutes, which is nice, but sometimes need to wave for attention. Overall, a really nice lowkey place with good food, highly recommend to swing by.
Disclaimer: I am not in any way associated with this restaurant. Updated: Feb 2025. Went for lunch and found the buffet. The buffet was super yummy. A lot of vegetarian options. Something everyone should try on a weekend. All the item choices are good and flavorful. The rose milk was so good. A hidden gem of the bay area for Indian food. It's very unassuming with yummy Indian food, be it south Indian or north Indian. Their spicy peach cocktail is a must.
1/10/25 Update: just as good as I remember at the same great price. 8Elements is well named because it is truly perfect Indian cuisine. In the span of one month, I have dined on their delicious lunch buffet 4 times. In fact, my week doesn't feel quite right until I've had that amazing assortment of curries, biryani, and naan. The quality of everything is amazing, and they rotate their lunch buffet everyday! I've had a different selection of food every time I go, and each time, it blows me away. At $16 for their lunch buffet (Mon-Thurs), this is an unbeatable Evergreen lunch deal.
Great lunch buffet at a very reasonable price Very flavorful food, not spicy but well flavored Goat curry was spectacular, vegetarian Avial ( a South Indian vegetable stew in coconut milk ) was amazing There is dosa service , roti, garlic naan along with rice and biryani to go with a wide selection of meat and vegetarian dishes Food was fresh and well made I would go just for the goat curry and roti
We visited here during the lunch hour after a few years due to the pandemic. They opened around 11:30 and we were one of the few to get in first. Pretty much had the place for ourselves. The folks there were welcoming and we were seated very quickly. We ordered a sweet corn soup, eggplant main dish and some wheat rotis. When the soup was just satisfactory, the eggplant dish and the wheat rotis were awesome. The potions are just sufficient for sharing family style between two people. I recommend this place for its casual ambience, good service and tasty food.
This was my first time in this restaurant and everything was wonderful. Fast and exceptional customer service. Food was very much better than other Indian restaurant around the area. Very friendly and engaging staff. Addressed our issues with a smile and quick. Usually it's 20-25 mins wait so it's better to go early. Ambience was fine. Loved their veg Manchurian balls and vada pav.
First time visiting 8 elements and really appreciate the professionalism and politeness of the staff. Food was good and most importantly I have to not wait long for my main course. I loved samosa chaat and its green chutney.
Very cozy environment Very delicios food Very good service Staff is very cooperating & caring Spices were added to food according to our requirments One must visit to enjoy Indian cuisine Fish manchurian, Masala Dosa & vegetable noodles were very tasty Hot n sour Soup was very delicious
Vada sambar was fresh, crispy and hot. Right amount of sambar and chutneys. Goat curry was exquisite and the meat was tender. Plain naan and garlic naan were good. Felt the gobi manchurian was on the sweeter side with lot of tomato sauce. Enjoyed the fried rice also. Overall good experience and prices are very reasonable.
Maybe we didn’t order the right things but our experience was just so-so compared to other peoples reviews. The dosa was not as expected. The ones I’ve had in the past are crispy, this was soft and mushy, almost like a doughy burrito. And the chutney selections were just ok. Paneer Makhni was supposed to be in a creamy tomato sauce but was not that creamy. Kind of watery. Similar situation with the Tikka Masala. The best dish was the garlic naan. I wish I got more of that.
I saw this place on internet few weeks ago and wanted to go there ever since as the reviews were good. Also their menu had few dishes which I haven't seen in many restaurants in Bay area. We went there at about 11 am hence the place was empty. So here is the thing, on my first visit to a new restaurant I usually order the most basic thing (Not too much of a risk and no money waste). So we ordered Masala Dosa, Uthappam, Fresh Orange Juice and South Indian filtered coffee. Both our dishes were yummy, well cooked and well presented. The place looked hygienic however I want to visit during peek hour that is when the real test is. Orange juice and filter coffee was really good too. I am definitely going to go there again and try few other dishes.
The food is good BUT if you have a peanut allergy or allergies be careful. We double checked with the waitress to make sure there were no peanuts in our dishes when we ordered but our dosa dishes had a chutney with peanuts which we realized only when eating. The waitress told us she forgot after we asked and she confirmed there were peanuts—but that’s pretty inexcusable at a restaurant. We thankfully did not eat much, but left early feeling sick and felt the staff didn’t care much.
"So I ordered a dosa, and as usual, it came with sambar. I noticed something odd, so I took a picture. If you look closely at the corner of the aluminum foil, you can actually see four tiny insects( mukka purugu in telugu language). I only found four, and after that, I didn’t even want to check further. All I did was dip my finger into the sambar and move it to the side, and that’s when I saw them. I’ve attached the picture for reference."
They labelled coconut milk but made it with dairy and it caused severe allergic reaction to my son! We ended up in the ER with 2 doses of epi for 2 year old. How irresponsible is that??? Not aware of this adulteration, I politely told them the food taste was in general off for other items and that we dined here 3-4 times but today’s food was not fresh. Before I could get to the car, my son started having symptoms.I went back to ask about dairy and staff confirmed coconut milk had dairy which is the only thing in the world he is severely allergic to. We rushed to the ER and got him treated. That evening when I called to let them know what happened, they had the audacity to change story and say it was only coconut milk. They didn’t even had patience to listen to what I was saying, no sorry, nothing. Shame on you people!
No taste whatsoever. We had ordered 4 starters, 2 fish starter, 1 chicken and 1 paneer. None of them was edible or tasty. All dishes were very very dry. We ordered some dish which never made it to our table. But they put it our bill, which they corrected later. However I won’t recommend this place to anyone.
