I saw that a new Pho restuarant opened up close to home, and a review indicating Wagyu was on the menu. I went in and I was impressed with the presentation, several dishes beyond the still boiling bowl of broth. I put the noodles in first, they have two choices for noodles, then all of the items on the garnish plate. I had to wait, the broth was still too hot to add the wagyu. So I placed a slice at a time to the broth, to savor the flavor, and to not over cook it. The broth was excellent, I only added the chili paste, as I love spicy.
New pho place so we went to check it out. We got take out pho. Most take out pho isn't good but this place actually does a great take out pho. They use fresh noodles which is must tastier. Their meat portions are HUGE. This is literally double the meat of the place I normally go to. Their broth is also very flavorful. Not too salty. Very rich and phenomenal depth of flavor. They also provide ngo gai aka culantro (vietnamese coriander) on the side which is just makes the pho that much more special. Would come again, in person next time.
Has the be the best pho broth in the bay area, both for beef and chicken. Not kidding. The meat is all great quality too. Naht Minh ONLY serves pho and bun bo Hue. No appetizers, no bun, no rice plates, etc. Just the best soup. I've driven from the east bay here twice just for the broth.
very good .. everything was fresh and nicely packaged .. tasted just like in Vietnam .. so good
I literally never write reviews unless they are really well deserved, and man, Pho Nhat Minh is some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. Truly the cleanest and most flavorful broth, fresh house made noodles, and delicious filet mignon cut for a very reasonable priced. Spring rolls were also delicious, not previously frozen and tasted like they were handmade. To top it all off, their fresh squeezed lemonade soda was ungodly. There’s a reason why the majority of pho restaurants in little Saigon have 4/5 stars. These guys are 5/5 all day. Sweet people, great service, very clean restaurant, and unreal food! PS- Demolished my food before I could take a photo, but you’ll understand my drift when you order from Pho Nhat Minh
We ordered the number 1 and 2. Excellent pho broth with generous portions of beef. Very clean restaurant with fast service. I like the smaller, more focused menu and will have to check out if that helps the other items be just as high quality. I've eaten at nearly every pho place in San Jose and this is one of if not the best here. The meatballs were disappointing: too salty and tastes like prepackaged. But, wasn't bad enough to ruin the meal. This will definitely become my regular pho place.
Delicious beef pho! Excellent service and fairly quick to get your food. You have to try this place...YUMMY for my tummy!
Very good soup. Finally a place where they practice good ethics in preparing the soup. It's very well balanced. Not too salty or too sweet with deep flavor. I will definitely return.
I’ve lived in the Bay for years and this is one of the few pho spots that have really stood out to me. 🔥 They keep the pho hot!!! 🥬 The ingredients are really fresh! 🧋 And even their drinks are great! They offer a thai tea that is really good! Not too sweet which a lot of thai teas suffer from 🍜 their broth is really great too. Great flavor I’ve had their signature pho wagyu and their #1 Pho nhat minh. Both are fantastic The pho wagyu comes on a stoneware bowl that keeps the pho very hot. On the side you get the raw slices of wagyu which you can cook to your liking! A great experience and id get it regularly The pho nhat minh is your standard pho dac biet but it was very good and the broth is flavorful The best part is that all their bowls are made of ceramic and are heated so the pho’s heat is maintained. Excellent attention to detail and this place deserves to be the best pho in the Bay Area
My husband and coworkers were raving about how good the pho was here so I had to come and try it out; it definitely surpassed my expectations. I got the chicken pho. I love the flat and thin noodles which were soft and chewy, absorbing the savory broth. The broth itself was very flavorful but at the same time balanced and not overpowering in any one spice. If my stomach was bigger, I would’ve ordered a second bowl no joke. Pho Nhat Minh is off to a great start and looks like it will be giving pho competitors a hard time!
This is the best Pho in the world I have ever tasted. I am a healthcare professional working for San Jose Kaiser, my colleagues referred me to come here to enjoy Pho, and I must say that Pho Nhat Minh is the most delicious Vietnamese noodle soup in the US. Much love sending to you guys, especially the owner of this restaurant. MUAH !!!!!
One of the best pho places I’ve been to in a long time! The broth was amazing and the staff was so amazing and kind. They were so welcoming. Will become one of my new fav spots! I definitely recommend!
been to this place 3 times now, went back 3rd time with family....really loved the food- very delicious and reminded me of my travel to Vietnam. Portion size is very generous and enough for 2 meals. I tried the chicken and vegetarian pho and was very tasty. The restaurant is also very bright, clean and fresh-love the feel and the staff is also very friendly. Will go again for sure.
The best pho in the Bay Area! I'm a purest and need an authentic, rich broth and this is by far the tastiest broth I've ever had! We tried the wagu hot pot style, mixed beef, and chicken. All were excellent! Quality ingredients (did I mention the delicate, thin sliced wagu?!), generous portions, fast service, clean and bright, great hours! Love this place and will be back soon!!
I’ve tried many pho places but this one is by far the best pho I have ever tasted. The broth is extremely rich and flavorful, and the noodles are nice and tangy. They are extremely generous with the portions, in every department: meat, noodles, broth, and even the garnishes such as the onions. The restaurant itself is very clean and nice to sit at. The guy server that served me was extremely kind so service was also great. The food also came out in about 7-10 minutes of ordering. The best compliment i could give is that i would go and drive out of my way to come to this specific pho shop from now on. I will become a regular!
Phenomenal. Best Pho I ever had in all of San Jose, and I work here. The Chicken Pho is hearty, reasonably priced, even with free Thai Tea. The servers all are genuinely delighted to see you, even a redneck Caucasian like me, hahaha. Thank God for restaurants still being family own and run with such heart. I also love the little orange wedge, to put some Zest into the pho, on top of the freshest ingredients. The music is ambient, soft pop, which gives it a modernistic hip touch. The place is teeming with true old world Vietnamese, which vindicates I cannot be wrong. Easy parking too !
The phở bò beef phở #2 on the menu is absolutely delicious, the broth is the best, the meat is tender unable to describe how yummiest it is. This is the most wanted restaurant I highly recommend to all phở eaters who live/work/ or visit San Jose. My coworkers from San Jose Kaiser medical center referred me to come to try Phở, and I must say that Dr. Nguyễn and his family do a good business. I enjoy phở very much, and especially a free drink ( Thai tea) 🤪
🍜 phonhatminh9 is located behind TK Noodles in vietnamtownsanjose and is one of our new favorite pho spots in San Jose! The broth of the pho was so favorable and tasty, even the teenager couldn’t wait to come back and try the other pho. My sister loves the Bún Bò Đuôi Bò- just like how grandma would make it, loaded with flavor. While I had the deconstructed Pho Bo Wagyu, which was so fun to eat!! The thinly sliced Wagyu Beef just melts in your mouth, so delicious! Definitely give phonhatminh9 a try! Awesome friendly service! Ps. For a limited of time: Get a free Soda, Thai Tea or Vietnamese Iced coffee with each entree! What a deal. ❤️
Amazing Pho!! Delicious broth with fresh rice noodles that were so delicate. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The owner was there and he was so welcoming and staff were very friendly.
Lovely staff and chill vibe. But most impressive was the broth and tender morsels of meat. My kids and I had our best pho meal ever!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Pho Nhat Minh Pho Nhat Minh truly delivers when it comes to pho. The broth is excellent—rich, flavorful, and incredibly tasty, with that slow-simmered depth you hope for in a great bowl of pho. The portions are generous, with a lot of meat that’s tender and satisfying in every bite. Their Thai iced tea is just as impressive. It’s authentic and freshly brewed, not powdered, and you can clearly taste the creamy sweetness of real condensed milk. It’s the perfect complement to an already outstanding meal. If you’re looking for high-quality pho with bold flavors and generous portions, Pho Nhat Minh is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! 🍜🥤
My wife and I tried Pho Naht Minh for the first time and really enjoyed our meal. We ordered the number 18, 29, and 1C and everything came out fresh and tasty. The number 18 had a really good broth with the traditional pho ingredients and flavors. The number 29 (Sườn Bò) only came with one rib even though the menu photo and other reviews showed two so maybe something changed or you have to pay extra for the second but the flavor was still excellent. The fresh spring rolls were standard but the peanut sauce was nice since it was warmed. We also appreciated how clean and modern the utensils were. Service was great too the waitress was friendly and professional, though it would've been nice to been offered more water. Overall a solid spot.
Tucked away in the corner of a nondescript shopping plaza in San Jose’s Little Saigon district, this quaint Vietnamese restaurant serves some delicious beef rib pho, with a super flavorful soup and the perfect noodle-to-soup ratio. The Wagyu beef hot pot was also very tasty, with a great presentation and high quality beef. Friendly and efficient service. Large free parking lot.
Tried Pho Nhat Minh recently. We ordered Bun Bo Hue, Pho Suon Bo, and some egg rolls. Everything came out really fast and the staff was super friendly, so service-wise it was great. Flavor-wise, it was okay — the broth wasn’t as rich or bold as I usually like, but that might actually make it easier for people who aren’t used to strong Vietnamese flavors to enjoy. The egg rolls weren’t my favorite, but overall it was a decent meal and the quick service made it a good spot if you want something warm and filling without waiting too long.
Food: We ordered 2 Pho Nhat Minh (Number 1) and it was delicious. The meat was tender, the meatballs freshly made, broth was hearty, didn't feel greasy, and the noodles were great as well. Portion size was generous. Drinks: We also got orange juice and Thai Tea. Thai Tea was nice, not too sweet, a good refreshment. These were part of the opening promotion, definitely worth going! Service: The employees were very welcoming, seated us immediately, tended to our needs and made sure we had a great time. Atmosphere: Nice and chill, clean tables and all the necessary utensils were there. Bathrooms were also cleanly kept. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed our experience here, would definitely return when we're in the area.
Finally able to come here after being invited by a co worker to try it out since this new pho restaurant just opened. First impression was great, appreciate the atmosphere, location has enough parking spots, we came during lunch on a weekday so probably less busy at the time, we noticed that their menu offers unique items I have not seen in other Pho restaurants we've been to. One of it is the Wagyu Beef hotpot. Something we'll want to try for the next time. Since it is our first time here, I opted for the basic one which is the "Pho Nhat Minh". Which is their version of "combination pho" Then my wife tried the Brisket -Meatball Pho. I loved my Pho Nhat Minh, noticed that soup has some sort of a unique taste as compared to other Pho restaurants we've been to. Wife also enjoyed her brisket - meatball pho. My wife who loves Spring Rolls loved it, she like the peanut sauce or should I say paste that went with it. Wife also ordered a mango shake and it was topped with whipped cream, also something we typically do not see in other Pho restaurants as well. We will try their other unique items next time then will update this review accordingly. But overall we enjoyed our visit and we really loved the food here.
One of the best pho places I've been to in San Jose. The broth was rich and savory. Meat was tender. Herbs were fresh. Had the option of fresh noodle or thin noodle. Everything was really clean. I didn't feel like I had to wipe anything down. Service was top notch! We came with our baby and stroller. The server went out of his way to open the door for me. We immediately got seated and was able to order. Food came out quickly. I would definitely come back again and bring my friends and family (:
On top of the excellent food (filet mignon pho), the staff were some of the sweetest happiest I have encountered at a restaurant. The pho broth was so flavorful and delicious that I did not need to add any hoisin sauce or spices to it as I usually do. The egg rolls were fresh and very tasty. Portion sizes were excellent. To top it off I left my purse there and after turning around to come back for it, the second I stepped in the door before even asking for it, someone from the back ran up with it to give it to me. Seeing the staff happy elevates the dining experience.
Food: The regular pho broth is clean, light, refreshing and flavorful The Wagyu broth is special, denser, fattier and darker it feels like it has more bone and marrow Love that they provide culantro and steamed sprouts. Wish they had pickled garlic and pickled hot chili peppers Bonus points for real sriracha and chili oil Service: extremely friendly and courteous very nice employees Atmosphere: very clean modern, I like the ceramic bowls and dishes. Thank you for the free Thai tea and 10% off grand opening deal
The cleanest place I have even been to in this area. Service was fast and greeted with a smile. The menu was easy to read and focus on just the best Pho. The Pho was tasty and not greasy or salty, and to top it off they offer fresh noddles! All ingredients tasted so fresh and they coffees! They were perfect!
Best pho in San Jose in my opinion. I have tried Pho Ha Noi, pho Papa, pho Dang, Pho Duoi Bo. Pho Duoi Bo is close second. Broth, meat and veggie all delicious. I don’t need to add any sauce to the broth . I highly recommend “Tai bap hoa” (Foreshank) or “Nam, gau, gan” (flank, fatty brisket and tendon). They have free drink promotion until now. Definitely bang for your buck!!!
The best pho I’ve ever had! The flavor of the broth was amazing, packed with meat and veggies. And the noodles tasted so fresh. Staff was super attentive to us and the food came out super fast.
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They explained things on the menu when we ask questions they focused on the adults as well as my niece who is four years old food was excellent and they have a very huge variety of taste to choose from. It was our first time coming here and it’s definitely not going to be the last. I cannot express with words towards the friendly of the staff, the servers were GREAT! FOOD WAS EXTREMELY DELICIOUS! They come in one size servings, which I couldn’t even finish one. It was so much food and it was so tasty!
Wow, I love Pho but since my favorite place in Stockton changed hands, ive been searching for a replacement and hands down, this place is amazing. I'm coming back tomorrow! The broth is so so tasty and the meat is top notch.
I wanted to support one of my favorite doctors, Dr. C. Nguyen. Even though I’m from Gilroy, my wife and I stopped by his restaurant for lunch and had a great experience. We tried a few dishes, but the Pho Bo Wagyu was the star — incredible broth and outstanding service. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area.

The food is great and great recommendation from the server. The meat didn’t have much fat which was great. The price is definitely right. Will definitely comeback
The main criticism, which applies to almost all the restaurants in Little Saigon, is the annoyingly stubborn penny-pinching reliance on plastic for everything relating to the take-out orders. If only these restaurant owners and managers would once and for all break away from the plastic! There are hot soup cups and lids made from waxed cardboard, there are to-go bags made from paper, and there are hot-food utensils made from plants, and they all biodegrade. Regarding the specific establishment of Pho Nhat Minh: there are no shortages of pho restaurants in Little Saigon, San Jose. Those who are fortunate enough to call this neighborhood home will become quickly habituated not only to the Buddhist temples managed by nuns and the yellow flags with three red horizontal stripes, but also to the discovery of certain coffee shops and indoor shopping malls effectively functioning as Vietnamese senior centers. Only when one leaves this part of the universe and visits some other place like Pittsburg or Saint Louis or New Orleans is the appreciation for a restaurant like Pho Nhat Minh fully conceived. Although nothing remarkable from the exterior, or interior for that matter, this is the place for the best soup --including vegan batches --to thaw the winter chill, or warm the grumpy invalid home in bed with the flu, or, for most of us, just to eat lunch. It is not easy to convey the flavors of this pho, or any cuisine for that matter, via a written online review. Perhaps the best clue, in this case, is the steady flow of Mexican-American families dining here. Some will understand this clue readily. For those who do not, the only other clue can be found in the many positive recommendations and five star reviews preceding this one.
Went here when we saw the review rating was great when we wanted Pho. It was close to 101 and 680 so it was a convenient stop over from our travels. The Wagyu beef was awesome, but I noticed the broth was a bit sweeter than I am used to. The server unfortunately was probably tired as he had a little attitude when interacting with us. There were three occupied tables during our visit so I don't know why he was short tempered with us. Other than the service, we had a pleasant experience. Q&A for the owner: I'm new to this review platform so I don't know if my response to the owner's question should be posted elsewhere. But to elaborate on the service, there were two Asian adult males working that night, Sunday the 9th of March. The taller one took our orders and served our food. He did not introduce himself or greeted us so I do not know his name. We asked what he recommended and he said one and three in a semi-tone voice. We obliged on his recommendation. When the food arrived, my wife asked for an additional bowl and he responded in an annoyed tone asking, "anything else?!" Even with my back towards him, I felt his rude response through his tone of voice. My wife felt disrespected with her simple request. I attempted to lighten up the room by joking with her, but she seemed to have taken the servers attitude in a bad way. It was an awkward experience from that moment on as we just wanted to finish eating dinner and leave. I did not even ask to refill my drink as I did not want a confrontation with the server especially with my children around. The other worker (shorter one) was observed smiling all the time as he cleaned up the tables. I hoped he would have served us instead. I then waited outside for some cool air while waiting for my family to finish eating. Nothing else to say.
This was our 1st visit, 8/16/2025, to this restaurant since the ownership change. It is clean and less crowded with tables and fake plants than before. My wife enjoyed the pho with seafood. I loved my pho tai #9. The broth was flavorful and there was plenty of lean steak. We especially appreciated the new restaurant promotion that gave us both a free Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk with our pho purchase. We will return to try more from the menu.
Excellent pho broth. We ordered the #1 and #2. And yes it does have the secret ingredient. Pho is not the same without it. Meats are fresh and vegetables are also very fresh. All the right ingredients are there for the special. So why only 4 stars? They have the AC up too low and we were sweating bullets after eating pho. No matter how good the food I cannot return if they don’t rectify the AC situation. Can’t eat pho if it’s hot. This isn’t Vietnam!
Imma say Pho Nhat Minh is a hole in the wall gem! And I mean that in the best way. This place is all about the pho—no flashy appetizers or rice plates, just rich, flavorful, deeply satisfying pho. They do have a few smoothies, though, and I really enjoyed the avocado one. That was a nice surprise—definitely not a flavor you see every day. I had the filet mignon pho, and the broth was incredible. I drank the entire bowl. As any true pho fan knows, it’s all about the broth, and this one delivered. Someone else in our group ordered the Wagyu beef pho, which was a showstopper. It comes in a hot pot-style bowl with thin slices of raw Wagyu served on the side. You dip and cook the beef and noodles yourself—kind of like a fusion of pho and Japanese/Chinese hot pot. Super creative, and more importantly, insanely tasty. It’s the only one that comes in the style. If you’ve got a craving for pho, Pho Nhat Minh is a must-try.

If you’re looking for a sign to eat your body weight in noodles, this is it! 🍜 I just hit up this spot and the pho was seriously delicious. The staff is super sweet, and the vibe inside is clean, simple, and chill. It’s officially moved into my "top favorites" list for Vietnamese food. I’m not saying I’m obsessed, but: * I’m pretty sure I’m 70% broth at this point. * It was so good, I almost asked for a straw so I wouldn't miss a single drop. Honestly, it was un-pho-gettable. (Sorry, I had to.)

The beef rib is too tough, the wagyu is surprisingly not tender, and the soup is.. oily? Soup does taste good though, and the music choice is nice and relaxing (11am).
The food was nothing special but ok . Services are ok . 1 stars for your attitude for not honor my service dog right when we walked in. I told him my teacup poodle is a service dog and he said I don’t think so without knowing she is a service animal. By law you can’t refuse them . Besides we just came here straight from airport after long flight to San Jose and my 6 lbs teacup was in my baby sling sleeping o n my lap and nobody was noticing that she there . Unacceptable.
