Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome, everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive without ever being overbearing. The service was quick, and you can really tell they care about their guests. The food was phenomenal and very authentic. The spring rolls were fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor honestly the best I’ve ever had. And don’t even get me started on the Vietnamese coffee 😫 STRONG, rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with that sweet, creamy finish. It was to die for 💀 Everything about this place felt warm and genuine. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and food that hits all the right notes. Can’t wait to come back! 🤗
My family Love Saigon Kitchen especially the Cá Nướng Da Dòn, the skin is insanely crispy while the meat stays juicy and flavorful. Wrap it with rice paper, noodles, herbs and dip in fish sauce — absolute heaven. If you’re in San Jose and craving legit Vietnamese food, this spot is a must. 🐟🔥
My family came in a rush but they serve our food really fast. I like the service here , they really friendly and fast. The soup and bo la lot is increadible . Super fresh sugarcane. Will come back next time.
Very good atmosphere, nicely decoration, great menu, great food and good service. Our waiter “Thai” is especially helpful, he frequently checks on us to remove empty plates and refill our water. He even helps us to pack the to-go box. We enjoyed every single item we ordered. Very tasty with fresh ingredients and flavors. My wife and I should come back another time to enjoy other items on their menu!
I had a great experience at Saigon Kitchen! Ngoc and Ntti were both super friendly and attentive. They were patient, kind, and made sure everything was perfect during my visit. Really appreciated their warm service — it made the meal even better!
First time here but it was selected by a local and it was a good choice. Everything was delicious. I particularly liked the shrimp paste, slightly sweet, savor and tangy. It made everything better.
We came as a group of 5 around 8pm on weekends. Waited 5 mins for them clean and clear a table for us. Despite being past dinner time, the restaurant was still pretty busy. Our waiter (couldn’t catch his name) was very attentive and fast. After getting our order, it only took around 5-7 minutes for them to serve our food one by one. What we ordered: Crispy Roasted Catfish served with rice paper and dry coconuts, 7 Course Beef served with rice paper and vermicelli, Fried Rice with shrimps, scallops and lobster eggs, Crispy Spicy Grilled Squid served with green chili sauce, and Pomegranate Lychee Tea with rose petals for drinks. They were all very delicious 😋 We would come back again!
The food portions are very generous and absolutely delicious. Service is OK. They hardly understand English though also they did not bring us all of the items and we had to ask for missing dishes we had to ask twice actually.
We use to visit this restaurant more often. Friends would share the 7 course beef and we would order a fried fish. This time it was ok, 3.5 for most of the meal. The skewered pork, kho catfish, garlic noodle was on the sweet side. The lemongrass chicken was spicy. The sour soup could have been a bit more sour. I would have preferred the egg rolls to be crispier. Service was nice amd fast. We had fried catfish recently along with beef with garlic noodles. The meal was tasty.

Our family had a lovely dinner here with many yummy dishes. The staff is truly attentive. the menu is quite abundant with so many choices. We highly recommend this place for your next get-together.
This review is strictly for Phi and the mì gà quay khô which I ordered through phone and picked up in store. Phi was friendly and I think very suitable to be working on the front floor. This entry was good. I wish they would give more sauce for the noodle and the side soup could be a bit hotter. Overall, a good experience
We came in on at 11am on Friday and got seated immediately! Service was quick and staff was friendly. We ordered the fried chicken cartilage, fried rice with lap xuong, oc with coconut milk, Banh beo, and banh khot. My favorite was the fried rice! If you’re looking for a place that provides a variety of viet food, I recommend!
rebrand from a previous similar restaurant. big variety of vietnamese dishes, like noodles, shared meat dishes, etc. food is pretty yummy, but caters more to a western palette. good for big groups.
I have been to this Saigon Kitchen many times before but as of June18, 2025 I am finally going to write a review. Lol This Vietnamese Authentic Restaurant offers a wide variety of Appetizers, main entrees, Great Salad options, Hot Pots, Noodles Options, Rice Platters, Sizzling Plates Barbecue, plenty of Seafood combination items, Smoothies, beers, Wines, a full bar, and special Cocktails. Modern interior, Vintage vibrant Classy vibes, and a relaxing welcoming atmospheres. Definitely a great spot for Families, Groups and gatherings with friends. I always enjoy eating at this Saigon Kitchen!!🤍

The food was delicious. The portions are generous and the place was clean. The servers were very attentive. Since my friend and I went late, about half an hour before they closed, they had told us to come earlier next time. We went while they were open so I didn't like the fact that they hurried us, but I understand that they were probably tired and just wanted to go home. Regardless, I recommend this place. The food is great and I would like to return again.
3Star Saigon Kitchen Nice décor, cozy setting, and a really convenient location—but the food was hit or miss. * Catfish clay pot: fish was dry and chewy, sauce too sweet. * Salted fish with chicken fried rice: chicken was dry and flavorless. * Oysters with scallion and peanut: bland, very disappointed, didn’t really taste like oysters. * Salad: light but had hard, rough bits that made it unpleasant to eat. * Eggrolls: the best dish—crispy, fresh, and tasty with greens. Just watch out, the filling comes out super hot. Overall, it was a bit disappointing since the place looks great and is so convenient. If the kitchen improves seasoning and texture, this restaurant could really shine as a go-to spot for gatherings.
The restaurant was not busy on a weekday lunch time, but I'm not surprised! Although the friendly service and the spacious lovely decorations were a plus, the food was quite disappointing. Our banh khot was dry and lack of flavor, oc huong was too buttery and bland, the beef salad didn't have a deep pickled flavor as it's supposed to. We paid almost $70 (including 18% tip) for a quick snack lunch, which unfortunately didn't meet our expectations for such a nice fancy restaurant.
After my friends insistence, I decided to give this restaurant a second shot, hoping my first experience was just a fluke. Unfortunately, after the second try, my review has gotten worse. Let’s start with the Bánh Khọt. The presentation was nice, but that’s about where the praise ends. From the first bite, I was disappointed. Bánh was dry and lacked the usual fluffiness you'd expect, it overly greasy and just didn’t have that delicious, savory flavor that makes this dish special. Honestly, it was one of the worst Bánh Khọt I’ve had. Next up, the clams dishes. Nghêu Hấp Xả (Steamed Lemongrass Clams) & Nghêu Xào Lá Quế (Clams in Basil Sauce) while the clams were fresh, the dishes as a whole felt lackluster. There was no depth of flavor, and it felt like something was missing in terms of seasoning or spice. It wasn't bad, just pretty underwhelming. Lastly, Tôm Hùm Xào Bơ Tỏi (Stir-fried Lobster with Garlic Butter). I’ve had this dish at other places, and this one didn’t even come close to being as good. It was bland, lacking that punchy garlic-butter richness you hope for. I honestly don’t think it’s worth ordering here. Overall, this restaurant is just "alright." It's not a place I would line up for, especially with so many other better options out there. That said, everyone has different tastes, so it might be more up someone else’s alley. If you're curious, give it a try and judge for yourself—but for me, I’m not coming back anytime soon.

We came as a group of 11 for a special outing and ordered the preset family-style menu of 6 dishes ($400, @$51/pp after tax and tip. Unfortunately, the experience did NOT meet our expectations. Out of the 6 dishes, two were around a 5/10, and the last dish — dessert — was simply fruit. The beef chow mein was overly salty, and the fish soup, which took an extra 25 minutes to arrive after more than two hours of dining, was bland and under-seasoned. We did not really eat it. Although the food fell short, we made sure to tip the servers well, as they were friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best in a very busy restaurant. Overall, it was a special gathering for us, but the food quality was disappointing compared to past experiences. The ambience was nice, with beautiful décor and a spacious setting that makes it a good place for large community gatherings. However, it seems the ownership or chef may have changed since the last time we were here, as the food wasn’t tasty what we remembered. Sadly, our group agreed it would be hard to return unless the cooking improves.
Bill totaled to around $200. Party of 10 on a Wednesday evening. Good service! My favorite was the salted calamari. Fried rice wasn’t flavored. Lobster was old. Garlic noodle was good. Ordered 7 entries. Disappointed for a legit Vietnamese location.
Visited this place for lunch and ordered: Shrimp Rolls Pork Sausage Rolls Lobster Noodle Soup Fried Chicken Vermicelli Soup It took us a long time to get our noodle soup, and surprisingly, we got our sides a bit later while already having our noodle soup. The portion was so big that 2-to 3 people could share one noodle soup. It was okay, nothing extraordinary Vietnamese feeling of their dishes. Because of the portion, we ended up packing the rest for to-go. We paid roughly $70-75
We sat down and were approached about 3 minutes later by an elderly staff member. Her attitude was fine the first time. About 3 minutes after that (so only 6 minutes in total) She came back again, this time clearly impatient and tried to rush us to order. She even made a loud "tsk" sound. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, and there's QR code ordering, so her attitude felt unnecessary and rude

The only good thing about this restaurant is the energy of the server which i believe name is Tai, the other ladies are rude. Food is terrible. 1 portion of Ca Kho only contains 3 pieces, and one of them is head with no meat. Rice is dried and hard like rock. And you need to pay for it. Like for real, how you can sell food dishes and ask customers to pay for the rice? Does someone eat the Ca Kho without rice? I ordered 3 dishes and no rice given. I need to pay for it. The fried Tofu taste funky
