Love this place! I'm a bit picky about Mexican food. I keep coming back to El Ranchito every other day. The food is fresh and very tasty.

Excellent quality and quantity, great salsa bar and chips. Diverse menu, from the basics to specialty dishes. Very clean as well

This is your basic taqueria offering good food at a good price. I always come here for Taco Tuesday. Four street tacos and a drink for 10 bucks. Can't beat it! And yes, the food is excellent.

My wife and I travel all over to try new restaurants and we tried this Taqueria for the first and I am really impressed with the quality and taste. I had the chicken enchilada and taco combo and I really enjoyed every bit. The chicken wasn’t dry and the carne asada had real good flavor and also wasn’t dry. I would recommend everyone to try it at least time. The prices range from $9.99 to $14.99 but was very filling. The green avocado salsa was real good as well. I will definitely be coming back again. Only thing is that there is very limited seating. Update, 6/26/21: My wife and I went back to Taqueria El Ranchito today to see if the first time was just an anomaly, and “Yes” this restaurant is on par. I tried the same dish a second time and it was even better than the first time around. I've been looking for a good Mexican spot in the south side and this is hands down one of the best. For reference, I think La Victoria Taqueria is 1 star, Burrito Factory is 1 Star and most of the taco trucks in the south side are really not good. I do however give La Costa 4 Stars, Taco Mania 4 Stars and Super Taqueria 4 Star (But only because I grew up with it on the Eastside of San Jose and it brings back great memories, and the food is pretty good). Food is great and comes out fast. their orange sauce is amazing! Never had a bad experience here. I'm supposed to be on diet and I eat here way too much, probably 2 or 3 times a week. It's addicting. 😫

Always delicious. The meat here is grilled to perfection, every time. So good. It's our Saturday night go to for weekend quick n tasty. I always get the super burrito and wifey gets crispy tacos or nachos. I know they're yummy cuz she doesn't talk - she just gobbles it down cuz she loves the grilled chicken.

Small Taqueria with indoor and outdoor seating. Extensive menu with delicious food. Seems authentic as evidenced by the percentage of Hispanic clientele. Friendly, fast, efficient service. Restroom is spacious and clean for one person.

I like this Mexican restaurant. I ordered a burrito without beans and rice and with lettuce and cheese. I thought the meat was well spiced and prepared well. A couple of times I found the restaurant closed during times it was listed to be open. I hope they have gotten over whatever problem they had and more reliable with their schedule. Orchard Supply is nearby and with its closing, I will probably not find their location as convenient.

I've been going to Smart & Final for years and never tried this place before a month ago. I've been four times since and had to start dragging others with me. They serve my favorite, carne en su jugo, and it is to die for. Perfect mix of savory and tang in an unforgettable stew. It is a must try for anyone looking for something aside from the usual Mexican fare. All of their food has been great thus far and you can tell because come lunch time it's nearly impossible to get a table. Definitely add this little hole in the wall looking place to your rotation.

The green sauce chilaquiles are the absolute best! I can't stop ordering the same item. FYI: do yourself a favor and try to order in advance. Everything is made to order (nothing refrigerated) so takes a bit longer

Very authentic Mexican food I love their chilli verde, carnitas excellent beverage bar and their salsas are very tasty. The staff are friendly and bring you tortillas before you run out and the tortillas are homemade and so delicious. This place is the king of Mexican Restaurant bar none

The food is good, but you need to check your burritos if it's take out. On two occasions I've gotten my order wrong and today I called and the guy insisted I gave him the wrong order which is b's and I even spoke to him in Spanish. What a waste!

Great tacos! Tasty Al pastor, carne asada and chorizo. Meat was cut in small enough sizes and tacos were nicely dressed with onions and cilantro .

I picked up lunch for several people here. Everyone commented on how good it was. For meat-dished, there were surprisingly good portions of meat that tasted good quality and texture.

One of my favorites and we eat here often. Our favorites are Taco Salad, Super Burritos, Giant Quesadillas, Tortas and Carne Asada Fries. Their salsa bar is the best with radishes, lemons, chilies and different salsas.

The staff was super nice to my special needs son. He has a unique (picky) taste in Mexican food. They were patient in understanding what he wanted and put lots of yummy cheese like he loves on his tacos. Price was reasonable being in the Bay Area.

Quick order. The food came out quick. There are chips and different salsas to choose from. We had huevos rancheros and an order of Al pastor enchiladas. Food was great!

The food isn't too bad.... tacos for the price are really good, not skimpy on the size or the amount of meat they use..... burritos are a good size for the price as well.... Chile Verde plate was awesome, I would definitely recommend getting it.... had the green wet burrito the other day, but I was disappointed in it... over all really good place to eat

When we are craving for taco with tripas extra crispy this is the place we head to satisfy our craving. Great cooks and service except today they have a new lady that was taking order lacks on customer service.

Carnitas were really good. Service is always with a smile. Nice salsa bar.. All they need are the Mexican Coca-Cola in the bottles and it would be 5 stars

As I walked in I noticed that they have an extensive menu, so much so that pops and I had no idea what to order, I asked the cashier what’s good? “Everything” she replies. I laughed and said I’ll take one of everything then “then she laughed” as we were deciding pops noticed a TV with revolving pictures of there food items “I’ll take that!, as he pointed to the screen” (Shrimp fajita plate, with shrimp, red peppers, onions, rice, beans, tortillas, green onions, guacamole and sour cream) and a coke please. I ordered a Carnitas quesadilla (thinking it would be small) I also ordered a Totra “boy was I wrong!” And a horchata to drink. As pops and I waited for our food I went to there condiment bar. The bar had all you can eat warm tortilla chips, freshly made pico de gallo “so delicious” 4 different sources for your chips and food, sliced roasted hot peppers fresh lime wedges, turnips and mix veggies. When we got our food I was blown away by how much food they give you and the quality of it, the presentation was also appealing to the eyes, oh and did I mention it tastes great also? My only complaint actually was the price point, $35 and some change seem a little high But overall the food and quality is good at this establishment.

Overall, I would skip this place unless you had a rabid hankering for burritos and youre on a major time crunch. I ordered the Cali Burrito, a shrimp, and fish taco. Cali burrito - mehhh. coming from SD, this was subpar at best Shrimp and Fish tacos - took these items to-go, and when I opened them up, the disposable paper plate was soggy. gross. both tacos were a huge let down, with the fish being a really not so great thing to eat. Service was fine though! Dude was really nice.

I like the food but the ow era keep raising the prices. Last Week paid 24 for 2 burritos. This Week 35.. Ridiculous to price gouge like this. Losing long term customers. Look at longevity not quick profits. Sad..

The owner was apparently in the back but simply told the cashier there was no order, and refused to come out and discuss the issue with me. After making me wait over 20 minutes and offering no resolution, I finally stated I would dispute the charge with the credit card company and left. There was not so much as an apology or any effort whatsoever on the part of the restaurant to attempt to remedy the situation. They simply did not care. There are many restaurant options in the area with excellent customer service that deserve our support during these crazy times. This is not one of those restaurants. I will not be returning.

Don't waste your money or time. I got 1 super burrito and 1 regular burrito and 1 rice and beans burrito and 4 tacos and 2 soft drinks. It came up to 52.00. My super burrito was gross and it had 10 peices of meat. my wife burrito had no meat either. The 4 tacos were cold and my daughter ate 2 and said it wasn't good either. My son said it was the worst burrito he has ever ate. Im so disappointed with the food.

Terrible food! Terrible service. I paid 12$ for a soggy sandwich. They forgot the avocado, forgot the cheese, barely any meat, it was all lettuce and soggy bread. Plus the little meat that was on the sandwich was awful. No seasoning or salt and it was low grade cheap meat. Worst torta I've ever had and I'm never going back.
