Tacos de Cabeza were excellent! Great flavor and shreaded not in cubes (cut in squares). Also, tasted the al pastor...really good! Lots of flavor. Onions and bits and pieces of pork like it came out from the spit grill fire. Home made corn tortillas!!!Cook was quick, cashier was super nice and we will be back. Thank you ;)

This place is legit. I am a little embarrassed to say that it took me this long to eat here. My friends were stunned I hadn't been here before. I ordered the nopales and eggs breakfast and I am now a proud member of the clean plate club. I honestly had to slow down to enjoy the food longer because it was way too easy to eat. The corn tortillas are magic. I left full and sated. I am excited to have 5 Spot Chivas on my list of hometown eateries!

The super tacos were amazing. The meat is on point. Next time I think I will get the super quesadilla. EDIT: 3 years later and I go to this spot all the time. The super quesadilla, breakfast plates, and super tacos continue to be delicious. If you like soccer (fútbol), it is nearly always on the screen if something is going on somewhere. Great little spot for breakfast/lunch. I ordered the egg bacon cheese potato onion burrito which was large and really filling, while my friend had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. He said it was great. Service was quick with a smile.

Came here on a recommendation from a cousin who lives in the area. Chips and salsa was really good, ordered the guacamole and it was also tasty. For my meal I had the Chilaquilles platter which comes with rice & beans. The Chilaquilles were fried well and topped with a red sauce and cojita cheese. I would have liked crema and eggs as well but that's not how they serve them here. So I was a bit disappointed and also the red sauce was a lil on the bland side so I had to add their spicy hot sauce which complimented the Chilaquilles well. Overall it was a good portion of food for a decent price, and the food wasn't bad but not great.

I've ridden my bike past the 5 Spot tons of times over the years, but never actually ate there when it was a burger place. Today, I was in the area and decided to try it. To my surprise, it's a Mexican place now - big improvement. I had two "Super" tacos w/carnitas and a Modelo Especial, and that and a tip cost $15, not bad for a nice summery Sunday. They have tables outside and I was able to sit at the small table on the opposite end of the patio from a family that were at a large table. The red sauce is plenty hot, and I was given both red and green sauce. Will be back again!

The food was boom! We went during Viva Calle for the first time and love it. The only thing is that they only had one waiter and tons of people. Not sure if they didn't expect people to show or what but it was packed. We waited like 40 min to get our molcajete.

If you're wondering which of them is the hot one, the answer is yes. 😅 The atmosphere was in stark contrast to the flashier options down the street, and the prices reflect the effort being put into the food and not the decor. Guys, this is the perfect spot to have a great time after or before a party! We came here to celebrate our friend’s 60th birthday, and the service was amazing. Our birthday girl even got a shot of tequila! The food was incredible! The tacos were a 10 out of 10, and they also have delicious frijoles en oya de barro.

Quesabirrias are good. Service is hit or miss. But we've only been there twice. I only say hit or miss cause this time around we had to constantly call for the servers to come over instead of them coming to check on us. It was slow.

The food taste really good and we enjoyed it but my partner noticed that one of the dish plates that she used weren't that clean on the edges. I would give a 5 star but that mistake is no good for anyone, especially serving a half dirty plate with dry food on the sides. Open late(I've been there from 1-2am), dome how expensive, five tacos and a one soda around $18.00, small parking lot, very hot salsas, I think nobody cleans around the eating area, good taste tacos and variety, cash only, polite and respectful tacos server. Good place too go(if you like tacos, ) after a dancing night.

The food was not really that great for the San Jose area. Their horchata is amazing. I had two pastor tacos and a bean burrito. I believe these two things will typically tell me how the food is at any Mexican restaurant. The beans seem to be like canned refried beans. Was not impressed. Their pastor had a little flavor but did not pop off the plate like other establishments.

After getting off work late I was surprised to find this place open. Tacos were good, meat tasted like it had been on the grill for a while. The molcajete salsas were totally out, same for the toppings bar, however I appreciated the people at the register kindly getting some salsa from the back. I'll most definitely wanna try them again, but maybe at an earlier time.

Taco man doesn't wear gloves. Tacos are 2.75 each and the Jarritios sodas are 3.25 each. Thr old lady that works the register is EXTREMELY rude if your not Mexican or if your wearing a club outfit. We were turned away at 8:20 pm when they are supposed to be open until 9 pm and both "OPEN" lights were still on. I told her she should turn the lights off if they were no longer serving and she ignored me.

Today I decided to treat all my kids and wife to eat at this wonderful place.As we were waiting for our food my children noticed there was hairs in the chips so I kindly got up and asked the lady if she could give us a new set of chips without even complaining and she told me that they were our hairs and she gave me a snobby attitude so we decided just to get up and leave and that’s the sorriest customer service I’ve ever received at this place It was at 4:30 March 22I don’t know if it’s under new management but if it’s not you guys need to check the worker.And by the way today the salsa Was nothing but water And the reason I left wasn’t because of the hair it was because of her snobby attitude. Would give ZERO for these hella overcooked shrimp taco. Everything is bland. Best thing is the slice of lemon. Took 20 minutes, with 1 prior customer. Then the micheladas were waterd down. Total waste of a lunch break AND $44 down the drain. GROSS!

Me and my family went to this restaurant after a tough soccer game, we were very tired and we came to this restaurant looking for some bomb tacos and food but we weren't satisfied with the results. We got in to the restaurant looking like its was full but it wasn't, next we sat at a table and it felt all gressy and messy with like some food that was left over from previous customers. We ordered and we got our drinks at a reasonable time but then it was at least 35 minutes for our food to come. We ordered some tacos de asada and it tasted weird so we asked them why and to replace it. The lady then said it was meat from the day before, fresh tacos my butt! I had some tacos de lengua and it was alright but the tortilla was cold when I got my taco the horochata was too sweet and overall it's was horrible. We waited a long time to not even get fresh good food, would not recommend. Coming from a Mexican himself.

Was there today for their dollar tacos. Went there at 153pm and the lady made us wait until after 2pm to order. Carnitas tasted bad like make you sick bad. Onions and celantro were dried and obviously old. Nobody else was there on a busy street next to several construction projects. Now I know why..

Visited this place for the first time today never again😕 I ordered 4 Pastor taco’s and they were not good at all in my opinion.😐 The meat was so dry well the little meat that was in it because sadly most of it was bits of chewy fat,& no flavor, the green Salsa that they gave was super hot for me so not edible for me🥵. And to top it off there was only one customer in front of me and I had to wait like 15 mins 😐
