A smaller rustic old-fashioned breakfast place that would would be just at home way out in Gold mining country as here in the near East Bay. We had a short wait, parking was not too hard to find, although it is in a busy suburban shopping area. Good portions and good prices, very attentive service. We enjoyed our breakfast meals. Good basic dishes done well. Definitely a local favorite so it will be busy.
Came after we did a run in the local area. Food was delicious. The gravy with the sausage is so good and filling. The staff kept checking on us to make sure we were good and our drinks were filled. Would come again and recommend!
I LOVE THIS DINER!! I was staying in San Leandro for a week with a friend and this place might just be my favorite diner I have ever been to. They have tons of options and everything on the menu tastes great! I’m vegetarian so I love a good veggie burger and their veggie patty is excellent!! They have a diverse brunch menu with flexibility to add a single pancake or French toast side to your order. I love having sweet & salty when I go to brunch but I can never finish those large breakfast plates, so this place was perfect for me!! On top of it all the cafe is super cute and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed it so much I went twice during my week stay!
10/10 the food. I don’t remember the exactly name of this dishes, was something like omelette deluxe, OMG I loved it. And the people is very kind and friendly
Just driving around aimlessly and happened upon this spot. As a out the blue pick, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I had the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked to my liking, and seasoned well. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The portions were fair. Definitely made my list of return spots.
DELISH - This was our 2nd time there and this now our favorite spot! Super cool decorations and Bay Area history! The food and the servers are amazing and great prices! Large portions!
Excellent place for breakfast!! Clean, good food, very affordable and excellent service! So pleased and glad I came here this morning. I recommend this cafe to any local and out of state visitors. All the way from Texas!
I had a fantastic breakfast today! I opted for the hearty meat omelet, and it was beautiful. The omelet is packed with full links and strips of bacon, and the toast and hash browns complemented it perfectly. The mild coffee was just what I needed to satisfy my cravings. My best friend Dickie went for the pancakes, and I couldn't resist trying them. They were made with a perfect cafe batter and accompanied by delicious syrup. The atmosphere had a charming rustic Wild West vibe, and the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall experience. It truly is a great place!
I'm not discovering anything new, but I finally have a moment to share my feedback about this amazing place. From the entire staff to the atmosphere, everything is top-notch. The team's positive attitude is palpable, and it's clear they genuinely enjoy their jobs - you can feel it in the air. The food exceeded my expectations in every way. No wonder there's often a waitlist to experience what they offer. My personal favorite is the Chilaquiles Verdes, but the menu boasts a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. I highly recommend this place, and I'm just a regular customer sharing my honest opinion - no incentives or biases here! I always strive to provide authentic reviews, whether good or bad, based on my actual experience. ✌🏼🫶🏼
Chulaquiles are worth it. Very good food seasoned well.
What a great local cafe! Warm decor and very inviting. My eggs and corn beef hash with grits was very good and served hot. Service was above and beyond with my coffee cup constantly being filled. I’ll return when in the area again.

What a great find this place was, you can tell the locals come here so the food is good. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 was because they don't use headlamps so the food was just warm but delicious. Service was quick and very friendly. I would recommend this place if you are in the area for a quick bite.
Chicken fried steak was good the gravy was a little bland. Huge country potatoes, this place had a nice vibe. Really expensive though and on top paid parking. But it is CA.
Cozy old school diner location that invokes the feeling of old town America but some of the food are on point but other dishes are quite average. The onion rings didn’t taste very fresh and were a little soggy and the accompanying sauce was not super flavorful. The egg scramble with potatoes was good and reminiscent of diner food that is simple and done well. Pricing is quite decent for the portion sizes and staff is extremely friendly. Didn’t have to wait at all when we went close to lunch time on a weekend.
It's a great place for some local grub. Service is excellent. Everyone was very attentive and with a smile. Looks like they have a happy working environment.
Love a breakfast diner! The hollandaise here has no flavor, so pass that by, but the omelet was solid otherwise. Nice seasoning on the home fries.

DoorDash orders are just as important as me coming inside to sit down. I really hate ordering off of DoorDash because the quality of food just goes down by most establishments. I’m out DJing for the polls today. Ordered a breakfast burrito. Didn’t get any napkins or utensils (wasn’t an option to add it) no green sauce which I also asked for. Burrito fell apart because it wasn’t grilled on both sides. Just overall a bit disappointed .. especially since I support this place a lot
I went here on a Tuesday morning with my mother. This was our first time at Pelton Cafe. We were greeted and sat. Asked us if we wanted anything to drink and got our coffees right away. After that it took them a while to come back around and actually get our order. My mom got the chicken fried steak with gravy with well done eggs and house potatoes. I got the special of the day which was the Mexican-Benedict. We received our food fairly fast. My Benedict was really delicious but unfortunately the potatoes had absolutely NO FLAVOR whatsoever! My mother concured as well, stating that both her potatoes and eggs were completely flavorless. No salt, no pepper, NOTHING. They actually taste like they had been boiled and just tossed on the grill for a bit and put on the plate. They never came to check and see if the food was good or if we needed anything so I went up to the counter and asked if I could switch the country potatoes to hash browns instead due to the lack of flavor. She didn't give me a hard time but I could tell my request bothered her(initially when we put in our order we had the choice to pick between the potatoes or hash browns). She took my potatoes(my mother, due to their reaction decided to play it safe and just not say anything lol) and IMMEDIATELY brought out a hash brown. I mean IMMEDIATELY!! I don't know if they gave me one that was just sitting there or what but it sure taste like it. It wasn't hot and unfortunately just like the country potatoes had absolutely NO FLAVOR!!! Not even the slightest taste of at least some salt. At that point I figured I just call it an L and never go back again. For $20 each plate the least you could do is make sure the potatoes are seasoned! 2 stars are for coffee and the Benedict. Coffee was delicious as well as the Benedict.
Great service. Food was okay. It needs more flavor. Really plain breakfast.

Nothing bad but painfully basic mediocre food. I like a good diner and loved brunch at Fifth Wheel Food (solid delicious food with friendly service without any bells and whistles) a few times, and I hoped I may have similar experience here. Dishes were like something made by kids who followed instruction well. Dishes are pale and soggy/salty/greasy and shriveled up. Every dish was half a step above free hotel breakfast. Minosa was lukewarm, fizz free, syrupy, and watered down. Service was weird… young server with braids kept asking us if we were done with our plates when I barely touched my food. Initially, it was just a question mark but she asked 4, 5 times during our first 20 minutes. The restaurant was 30% full and we were eating 1:30~2:30pm at a normal pace. My friend chuckled as he walked back from the restroom because she was doing that at other tables too. I don’t know if she is new or whatever but it seemed she thinks she has to say something as she walks around the restaurant and doesn’t know what else to say? It was all in all not a good experience. I give 4+ stars for solid place without having to be excellent but I don’t know how this place has over 4 stars. I’m now almost questioning google reviews…

I searched up breakfast near me , wanting to try something new . The wait wasn’t too long , they seem to get business. However after we ordered our food and it came , we were so shocked at how mediocre the food looked. We got the huevos rancheros , and it was a small plate with 2 eggs covered in some sauce and just beans , to say the least it looked like some lazy attempt. My wife ordered the Mexican omelette. The hash browns were good but the omelette was lacking flavor , for myself I got the Mexican steak with eggs , plate was also small and meat was decent , sauce on that plate needed some flavor . I wouldn’t go back that’s for sure , you can make better food at home for half that price .
