The pastries here are incredible. Their kouign amann was the best one that i've ever had, the bottom was perfectly caramelized and the inside so buttery. My favorite was their seasonal squash, mornay, and pumpkin seed gremolata savory danish, it was unique and tasted so good, i wish i could get another one! Another big hit was the cinnamon sugar twist, it kind of reminded me of a better version of a cinnamon roll. The ham and cheese croissant and the garlic herb and cheese scone were also incredible. I'm usually pretty let down by chocolate chip cookies but this one didn't disappoint me at all! Every item i got here was amazing and i will definitely be coming back.
I love supporting small business and what I love even more is small businesses that are so friendly and delicious. Get the scone! Melt in your mouth happiness. Their seasonal syrups are also really great. I got the caramel lavender syrup in my iced coffee and I loved it.
Get the chocolate almond croissant! So good! 😍 First time in San Pedro and I had to stop here for a quick (and friendly) breakfast! Good variety of pastries! And like I said, the chocolate almond croissant was delicious. The almond paste was very tasty and the chocolate was yummy!
I first encountered Colossus in Long Beach and decided to check out this smaller, OG location. The shop is cute and the staff is very friendly, great vibe overall. I had a butter croissant and a cherry pistachio danish, the croissant dough is flaky and tasty, making these pastries a delight to savor. I also had a bread loaf and enjoyed it at home over a few days.
Apparently this little place has been hiding out for over a year. I had no idea that something like this existed in San Pedro. I’ve been here my whole life and I’ve always really disliked, even hated, the coffee shops that are in San Pedro. This is necessary for coffee connoisseur‘s like myself. They have great, no amazing, pastries. The coffee quality is really good and it is not watered down Because they know what they’re doing. Overall I give this place a 10 out of 10 easy. Even though I have a $600 coffee machine at home, I still leave the house once a week to come and get coffee from Colossus. And a burrito from next door. I’m updating my review because this is my favorite place. Not only is Coffee completely wonderful but so is the staff. This location reminds me that I live in a community that matters. They remember my name they remember what I order they’re very friendly and consistent I love this place more than a review can even Express. All of their pastries, and their bread are incredible as well. I’ve never gotten anything from here that I don’t like.
Colossus is the best there ever was! I’m so glad we have this San Pedro location—it’s a local gem of a bakery. Everything they make is crafted beautifully with so much attention to detail and clearly made with a lot of love. It’s the perfect spot for a pastry and a tea or coffee to go on a stroll with (also, breakfast burritos right next door if you’re extra hungry). Street parking out front can be a little tight, but I’ll just park a little further and walk. I love ordering online and stopping in for a quick pick up! Incredible pastries, breads, teas, coffees, and other local goodies + great customer service and friendly staff = Colossus in San Pedro.
Yum yum yum! Amazing pastries! And great cappuccinos! This is our second time at Colossus and they don’t disappoint. We wanted to have an almond croissant but they were sold out at 11am. Their almond croissant have a delicious almond paste with real almond pieces inside the croissant. The croissants are so flaky and crunchy, oh my, it takes me back to Paris 😋 Best third wave coffee shop and pastry/bakery in San Pedro fo’ shizzle!
We've gone to a couple of very expensive patisseries but this place is the best! Our guests really enjoyed the pastry. It is not overly sweet and has a deep flavor.
The best bakery in the Long Beach area!! So happy they have a brick and mortar now after previously only being available at farmer's markets. So many incredible loaves of sourdough bread to try, and the pastry selection is amazing! Both sweet and savory options. Don't miss out on the OG chocolate chip cookie. The coffee program is amazing - they have really good drip coffee as well as a thyme caramel latte that was to die for. Worth driving out of your way to go to this gem!
The barista had a welcoming smile and aura from the moment I entered the cafe. The store is small but charming on the inside. I waited outside the store for my drinks in the outdoor seating, and the barista brought my coffees out to me! A very nice surprise. Great service and great coffee. I got a hot mocha, iced vanilla latte, and a rose danish which were all delicious. I live far, but I will definitely be back when I'm around in the future.
Hands down they have the best chocolate chip cookies. No doubt about it small little bakery kinda easy to miss but pass by early enough and you’ll definitely not miss the lovely aroma coming from the baking. If your a cookie lover this place can be dangerous lol I only get a cookie at a time otherwise I know I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from consuming them all at once. Definitely a must try. So went back got another cookie this time got a Carmel lavender iced latte it was absolutely delicious. It definitely is a strong coffee for me. I’m currently a little dizzy from it. However if u need something to get us through the day this is definitely it. If you are sensitive to caffeine like I apparently am. I’d recommend eating something before drinking your coffee.
Checked out the original location in San Pedro. I had only been to the Long Beach spot before. It's a cute hole in the wall inside a neighborhood. Food is still great. The croissant breakfast sandwich is delicious as usual. Kept me full for 6 hours and I only finished 75% of it. Love Colossus!
Cute coffee shop with excellent coffee. It's definitely more of a quick stop, rather than a brunch place. I decided to be adventurous today and ordered an iced London fog, instead of my go-to mocha. I didn't know until afterwards, but London fogs usually take a bit of time to make, but they got it out fairly quickly by skipping the frothed milk layer. Overall, very delicious; it's my new go-to order. It's light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced between milky and sweet.
We recently tried the Whole Wheat Sourdough bread here. We really loved it! Unfortunately, it’s only sold on Sundays. It might be available on other days but Sunday is the only day where Whole Wheat bread is available for sure. We really regret this limitation because this is the only “pediatrician approved “ bread for our kid. She has health issues but the Whole Wheat agrees with her. She is a huge fan. Supermarket bought whole wheat breads just don’t compare. Please make it available more often? Thank you! We also come here for cappuccino and latte. Its quite decent. Thank you and cudos to the staff that work so tirelessly during the Covid19 pandemic.
This place is so yum! Coffee is excellent, they carry reg organic milk and all the alternative milks. The seasonal pumpkin loaf.. wow. The girls are so friendly too, love this place!!

I had heard about Colossus and was excited to find it by accident (when I stopped at Chori-Man for the first time). The server was great and so was the service. I got a vegan cookie and muffin and a small loaf of nut bread. I really appreciate that they have vegan options... and they were GOOD. I'm still enjoying the bread. It's a carry out place and I didn't see any place to sit outside. However, I like the location in a neighborhood surrounded by houses. I look forward to trying out the Colossus restaurant soon.

Cute neighborhood coffee shop with some bakery items. The croissant was ok, not super fresh or fluffy. Strong coffee but you can't serve espresso is a 14 ounce cup. Its a red line. There's some outdoor sitting only.
I tried the savory mushroom miso pastry, and the vegan city's poppy cookie. The pastries were good, as was the coffee. It's in a residential area with narrow streets. Parking can be a challenge, but we found a spot easily.

Coffee wasn't great. Better than a bad starbucks but not by much. Inside looked very unfinished. Think gutted store that threw store bought pastries on the counter and an espresso machine in the back

Overpriced and not good. Just feels like eating layers of dough/crust, instead of tasting food. 8$ for a croissant, that's a bit too much for me 😅
