My wife and I stopped in here for lunch and met Alin, the owner. A most gracious host. Alin told us about the menu and which dishes came with homemade pasta, in what types of pasta that were not on the lunch menu. We started off with two Small Plates, appetizers. One was Fritto, a dish of fried calamari, shrimp, and lemon with red pepper flakes, accompanied by a side of Marana. The other was the bruschetta. Both were excellent! Distinct flavors, clean taste and were complimented by a white wine that we ordered at his recommendation. For our main dishes, my wife ordered the lasagna, outstanding! And I ordered the Bolognese with pappardelle, a homemade pasta instead of the spaghetti. Amazing flavors and texture. This was accompanied by a delightful red wine recommended by Alin. For dessert well we didn't have any because we were so full from our meal. Next time we will definitely save room for the tiramisu. As a no, we do not frequent Italian restaurants that often as we both love to cook and don't find them to be worthy of a visit. However, Baraonda Ristorante is not your typical Italian restaurant. If you know food, then you will appreciate this restaurant. Enjoy! Below are images of our meals and the current menus, Lunch & Dinner.

We had a BIG FORTY birthday group party (7 people) and had so much fun!!! Everything was perrrrfect, the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food!! They were so kind to bring a complimentary cake for my friend’s birthday. We enjoyed our time so much that we accidentally broke a wine glass but they were so kind about it… A huge “Thank you” to Baraonda Ristorante and all the staffs there!

Went here for a birthday dinner for a friend and we had the BEST TIME! Service was INCREDIBLE! Food was so fresh and drinks were perfect. Amazing fun and sophisticated vibe. Would 100% recommend.

Stop in for for Pastatini every Thursday through September for some delicious food. Gigli Vodka and the Ziti Al Forno are a must try! Worth every bite from both dishes. The tiramisu is a great way to end the meal with getting a sweet tooth fix. Don’t forget to check out their Martini’s and wine section.

Great restaurant. Delicious food, and attentive service. Nice atmosphere. We had a great time eating here. The chef was able to accommodate food allergy. The steak was delicious and done perfectly inside (see picture). Just the way I ordered it. Complementary valet parking. A little overpriced. We will come back to this restaurant.

New favorite spot in Sandy Springs!! A neighbor highly recommended this restaurant to try out and it did not dissapoint. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu. Ruby recommended the bricco carlina wines on the specials menu and they were amazing! Our group ended up having 2 bottles of each by end of the night The food came out quickly and was delicious. Great ambiance, decor, and energy amongst the patrons. We met another group of regulars drinking the same wine and had to pop a few more corks. It's like an Italian Cheers where you're made to feel very welcome and like family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been here several times. Great food and service. Pizza seems to be a popular dish but we’ve never tried it here. My wife always gets the pappardelle with lamb ragu and raves about it. I usually get a fish entree - tonight it was salmon served with asparagus and leek couscous. A definite winner. Baraonda is Italian but not your father’s Italian. They have a diverse selection of interesting dishes and some Italian favorites for the purists. They have live music on Friday evenings (sadly today is Saturday).

I was blow away from the moment we walked in. The design was impeccable. Loved the Mural. The food was outstanding. We were greeted with a smile and a huge welcome. Can’t wait to go back. We loved the pappardella with the lamb ragu and the lobster ravioli. Can’t wait to come back!!! The wine program is fantastic…

Very happy that we decided to eat here. The food turned out very delicious and the pizza is so good with the fresh cheese and taste. Everything we ordered here turned out good. They have good Coca Cola and good service as well. They do validate parking but sometimes you can find good curbside parallel parking, instead.

You will not be disappointed…drinks and food fantastic. Place is great for a big party or a romantic evening. I came with friends and my hubby we had veal chop, lobster ravioli, pasta and sausage, popadella and a bunch of appetizers fantastic! I recommend the ceaser salad as well. Everyone loved their food. Had a great time and service was excellent. Thanks for a great evening in Atlanta.

Great restaurant to eat at before or after seeing a show at The Fox theatre! This was my second time here and the food was just as good as I remembered. The service was great, and the food will leave you thinking about it days later. No matter what you order here, you can’t go wrong! Top it off with their tiramisu dessert, or cheesecake, they’re both delicious.

The food was Excellent! The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing. It is not a traditional Italian restaurant but more modern and well designed. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back!

I had a fantastic time at Baraonda Ristorante & Bar. The modern ambiance, delicious variety of dishes, and good service made it a memorable experience. Don't miss out on trying their yummy cannoli, tiramisu, gelato, and grilled octopus appetizer. Our two kids also enjoyed the visit, even without a kids' menu. The accommodating staff made us feel welcome and added to the overall enjoyment.

Food is great! Atmosphere and service are just what you expect for high end Sandy springs. Please come by and give them a try. Food drinks and service are amazing. My kids had a great time here. One note: The spaghetti bolognese was delicious but small portion for the prize. BRING BACK THE LASAGNA THAT YOU HAD WHEN YOU WERE NEXT TO FOX THEATRE!!!!!! if you do we will come back every month. Other than that amazing job you guys honestly!

Had an exceptional experience with my family and couldn’t be any happier with the customer service from Liam, and the phenomenal server, Addison. The food is outstanding and presented beautifully. The salmon is delicious!! My family came here to celebrate Mother’s Day and couldn’t have been more pleased. We will definitely be returning!!! Highly recommend coming here!!!!

Great food, atmosphere and people. Very clean and pleasant from the hostess to the waitress staff and management. I’ll definitely come back and I recommend to everyone to pay a visit. The Steak Tartare is to die for, get it if you’re in to that. Stayed for drinks past closing time. Everyone was very happy to have us there.

Great atmosphere. Great customer service. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The Dark Soul is an acquired taste. The Linguine Rosa was good and not to spicy. The Lasagna is very cheesy.

Excellent food and drinks good times watching people. Excellent salmon and shrimp, it was buffet style due to a wedding party, will definitely be there again for regular service and food.

Great food and large wine list! Perfect spot to grab dinner before a show at the Fox or on any other date night. Favorite app was the bruschetta and their seafood pasta dish was phenomenal! And my boyfriend loved their veal parmesan! Plus you must top your meal off with the tiramisu.

Had a great experience here. The ambience is warm with oil burning candles on each table. The scene is rustic meets modern with lots of wood and a wood burning stove. I worked for an Italian company and this was there favorite restaurant to visit when in town. This time I had the carpaccio and an arugula salad with shrimp. Both were pretty amazing and the carpaccio was fresh! The shrimp were simply delectable.

We where 10 people in party and all of us enjoyed atmosphere and food. We ordered calamari for appetizers, pizza, lasagna, lamb and some drinks. Everything was delicious!!! My lamb was excellent, perfectly cooked medium, (no gamey taste) and complimented by mint sauce, seasoned potatoes and spinach. Texas margarita was 4 stars, could not find orange liquor taste in my Margarita, not enough Grand Mariner our Cointreau.🤔 Overall very happy, nearly perfect experience. Thank you Baraonda!👍😉👍

My wife and I went for lunch. It was excellent. Fresh delicious pasta. Lasagna for my wife, I had the burger-perfectly cooked.- with a generous amount of shoestring fries. Plenty of dessert options.. Wife loves keylime pie, it was also delicious. Quick, delicious lunch in Sandy Springs.

Came here with 8 girl friends of mine we had the best time! The food and drinks were great and our waiter was amazing. Everybody in the restaurant was so kind and helpful to all of my questions. Would highly recommend!

Love their homemade pasta and entree. Price range very reasonable for the price range. Compare to other Italian restaurants in neighborhoods. The only concern only the service the waiters not attentive and we don’t fell welcome at all.

I enjoyed a most delicious lunch at Baronda The service was attentive suggesting several dishes which were divine. I am a trained cook and appreciated the flavors, freshness and how light all the dishes were just to my liking. Best calamari I’ve ever had.

Baraonda Ristorante is a true gem in Sandy Springs that brings authentic Italian flavors together with a welcoming neighborhood feel. Conveniently located at 6075 Roswell Road, the restaurant strikes a wonderful balance between casual and upscale, making it equally suited for a relaxed family dinner, a romantic date night, or an evening out with friends. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with tasteful décor that complements the rustic elegance of Italian dining. The food here is consistently excellent. From fresh, house-made pastas to wood-fired pizzas and classic Italian entrées, every dish feels thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients. The pasta dishes are particularly impressive—perfectly cooked with sauces that are rich, flavorful, and layered. Their pizza is also outstanding: thin crust, blistered just right, with creative toppings that don’t compromise authenticity. The menu is broad enough to please everyone, while still maintaining a sense of focus and tradition. Equally noteworthy is their wine list, which features a carefully curated selection that pairs beautifully with the menu. The staff are more than willing to recommend wines based on your meal, and it’s clear they take pride in creating a complete dining experience. Cocktails and desserts are also not to be missed—the tiramisu and panna cotta are excellent finishes to an already memorable meal. Service at Baraonda Ristorante is warm, attentive, and efficient. The servers are knowledgeable about both the food and wine, and they take care to make each guest feel at home. The overall vibe is elevated but never pretentious, which makes it a place you’ll want to return to regularly. In short, Baraonda Ristorante captures the essence of authentic Italian dining in Sandy Springs. With its delicious food, welcoming service, and inviting atmosphere, it’s one of the area’s best Italian restaurants and highly worth a visit.

The food here is expertly cooked, and good portions too. I had the fish of the day - Chilean Sea Bass with Broccolini, fingerling potatoes and a lemon zest butter sauce. Everything tasted perfect. Amazing Caesar salad too. The interior decor is beautiful. We sat on the patio and it was a little loud with street noise. Some flower boxes and large plants would probably help make it more cozy. Will be back.

Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere and service, excellent food. The lasagna and tiramisu are my favorite items!

Really fabulous Italian dishes executed so well! The menu offers a unique spin on regional classics with the infusion of aromatic herbs and beautiful presentation which was delightful. Portions were right sized. They offer some of the best craft cocktails in Atlanta! Our appetizers were also very tasty. Ambience was spot on, intimate, warm, pleasantly lit dining space with sophisticated background music that allowed for conversation. Acoustics were great considering the size of the space. There was another room with live music yet we could comfortably talk and enjoy our meal.

Not sure what the dissatisfied folks ordered but everything I had was phenomenal. The highlights for me were the diavala pizza and the mushroom pasta. It was perfectly al dente. Also had the mini cannoli and despite not being a dessert girlie it was so good! Round it out with a nice wine and cocktail menu and it’s a great night out with the girls or ones s.o.

The place looks beautiful, and very accommodating as well as the service . The food was a bit disappointing. The fungi flat bread was ordinary, the heart of palms salad was delicious , and the eggplant arancini were fine but not too much special. Chocolate cake was very tasty .

Went here after going to a play and were quickly seated. The food was amazing and very authentic. This place has a beautiful stone oven and decor. My only critique was the service. Our waiter was very disinterested about everything and disgusted looks when we said we didn’t want anything extra. I’d come again for the food, not the service.

Their menu have been changed from the earlier. Always look out for the menu on the website. Good feel, more range in menu would be great.

The host at the door has absolutely no customer service skills!! The only thing he said from our arrival until our departure was “did you have a reservation that I should cross off the list”!? Looked like he was mad to even be working today!!?? Our server was nice but not 100% on his game!! We were never asked if we would like coffee, dessert, etc.!!?? The atmosphere is nice… But really loved the look and feel of the original location in Midtown!! I feel there are definitely better Italian restaurants in Sandy Springs, but I will give it another try and come for dinner to see if that changes things for the better!!

Came here for a birthday dinner. Food was disappointing for the price like many people have said. Just seemed to lack flavor. We tried the carpaccio, mussels, lamp chops, and 4 pastas. The lamb chops and carpaccio were the best probably. Service was good but the atmosphere seemed to be the best part of the night. Free cheesecake was a plus

Simply sensational food. Modern, elevated, Italian that is both creative and cutting edge. Fritto with shrimp, bone-in Marsala and fresh seafood ravioli in red sauce make for a delightful evening. The service was spot on, warm, friendly, available but not over-bearing. And an excellent drinks and wine menu compliments it all. And an extra nod to the service. It's excellent. Well done.

We sat at the bar and ordered meatballs and Fritto for an appetizer and Vongole pasta, and shared a bottle of red wine. Bartenders were very attentive and nice and provided a great service. It was a second time for me to eat at this restaurant. In my opinion, atmosphere and service is great. Food is good but not excellent.

To start the food is fantastic - I have been here twice and tasted a lot of the food items. Highlights include: Burrata, Lobster Ravioli, Messi Rigatoni (I added chicken). To note the lobster is in a cream based sauce that it very citrus/lemony vs a standard light butter sauce. Dessert go for the Tiramisu & pistachio gelato. The service needs a major overhaul & more targeted training. Both times I went it seemed like it was the server's first food & bev job. There is an art to service for when a customer first sits at a table. The second time I went, I sat at the table for almost 10 minutes before we were given water or greeted - while all the other servers made eye contact with us and watched, but failed to help because it wasn't their section. Atmosphere is good, but they are definitely trying to find their niche. I would recommended dimmer lighting earlier in the night if you want to get away with playing EDM music for dinner service. Will come back to try again after a few months. This place has great potential.

Updated Review - See previous one below. I received a message from management, after writing my 1-star review. The gentleman agreed that the lasagna was not up to par, stating that when he looked at it at the end of the night, he knew it had too much tomato sauce and water. Ewww! *He also stated he would like to refund my money, but I forgot to ask about that, and it was a different manager on duty when I went today!* I was invited back for a meal on them! I took them up on it because I have had great meals from them before, and I knew I would never be ordering lasagna from them ever again, so I went back with all positivity. I ordered a Cesare salad ($10) with dressing on the side and Fusilli ($13). Of course, I also partook in the complimentary bread, olive oil, crushed black pepper and shredded parmesan cheese. My salad was traditional with romaine, croutons, parmesan and classic Cesare dressing. The romaine was shredded, crisp and cold. The croutons were crunchy and shredded parmesan was good. The dressing was thick and creamy. I used less than half of it. The Fusilli has applewood bacon, creamy carbonara sauce, parmesan, shallots and green peas. It came out piping hot and the fusilli noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. I thought it was pretty good and really creamy. This is a comfort dish. And, I wanted to stay away from anything tomato based, after the tomato sauce and water fiasco. All in all, this was a much better meal. And, I will probably come back. They righted a wrong, listened to the guest and admitted a mistake. I appreciated that. My only complaint is that if I were to order this dish again, I would request that they fry my bacon crisp and crumble it on top of the dish. I did not like the soft, chewy and fatty bacon, that is mixed in. Previous Review: 1-Star: I ordered the Lasagna. ($16) It was a soupy mess! I could barely find the noodles and there was a minute amount of meat. It was like an orange soup with yellow pasta. I was so disappointed. Yuck! I found myself dipping into this cesspool of goo and trying to get a sturdy piece of lasagna. The taste left a lot to be desired as well. It was bland and SOUPY! I have eaten here before and have typically been pleased with a salad, with added grilled shrimp. I have enjoyed their pizza and even other pastas. This lasagna was gross and I can't believe I spent $16 + tax and tip. Save your money folks.

We went here last night and honestly I must say, the atmosphere is great, the service is great, but the food itself, the important part- was extremely disappointing. My pasta dish pictured really had nearly no flavor. My fellow party members tried my food and remarked how it had no flavor other than pasta and the seafood in it. It was like the tomato sauce lacked flavor completely and I tasted no seasoning at all. We also got “bread service” and the bruschetta for the table. I must say I am again disappointed that the bread was not warmed at all the amount of olive oil provided was so small, most of the other Italian restaurants I frequent don’t make you pay for bread and it actually has flavor to it. The bruschetta was the best tasting thing we received it had flavor. Will not be returning, unfortunate, but first Italian restaurant I don’t like.

Some friends told me how much they loved the food, and were excited that they had started serving lunch. The reason I gave 2 stars was because I was disappointed in the service upon arrival. Long wait time upon entry and the lack of acknowledgement. Once the male hostess did come over to us he still didn't greet us he grabbed the menus and just started walking to the table. He literally didn't say anything. One of my friends just intuitively just started following him. Once we got to the table he still didn't say anything not even the usual script of letting you know your waitress name and telling you they'll be right with you. We then sat at the table waited 10 minutes before anyone came over. When the waitress finally came over she was very pleasant and did apologize for the long wait time. In the end the food was good but imo for a fairly new restaurant I expected better service.

Bought a steak for delivery and it was raw. Called the store and told me they don’t cook the steak 100% and I have to cook the rest of it. No instructions no warning. Raw steak. I didn’t know until a few bites. Called and nothing but excuses and not accountability.
