This was a quick walk from Stearns Wharf and our hotel. You can watch them roast their own coffee here and it smelled amazing! Definitely come here!
This coffee shop is on the corner of Yanonali St. and Gray Ave. with very limited parking. Adjacent to Tamar Restaurant, they operate out of the same building and share seating space. During my 1st visit, it seemed unclear if Darts' customers could use the seating space, so I ordered takeout. I had their 'Hot Latte' with an 'Everything Bagel'. Both tasted amazing! The latte was smooth and creamy with a perfect balance of milk and espresso. It's such a great feeling when the right barista handles your drink! The bagel was perfectly toasted, yet so soft inside with the right seasoning. The menu lists one price for each specialty drink, so I was not able to get a larger latte. I was served a 12 oz drink. I almost passed on this experience because I couldn't find parking and the line was out the door. So I got out of my car while my husband drove around and I waited in line. Surprisingly, the line moved quickly. Service was friendly and welcoming. The Café is cute, with a soft feminine aesthetic. Clean and organized. Overall, I had a good experience here and enjoyed every sip.
Still my favorite coffee shop when visiting Santa Barbara. Best vibe. Delicious coffee. Pictures are worth 1000 words📸
Wonderful coffee shop, nice people and of course- great coffee! The burrito was mostly rice, insanely hot. I’d probably skip it next time as it just lacked real flavor.
Dart Coffee Co. has really good coffee, and both locations offer totally different vibes. The harbor spot feels calm and coastal—perfect for a slow, relaxed sip—while the open-concept location is brighter and more energetic. Different atmospheres, same consistently great coffee, which makes it worth visiting both.
In a town full of exquisite coffee shops, Dart sets a very high bar. Their espresso drinks are delectable. You can taste the freshness of their beans, and their efforts to hand make each beverage with care. Their pastries are solid, though nothing to write home about in my opinion. It is important to mention though, Dart is very popular. You might find yourself waiting upwards of 30 minutes for your caffeine supply. Might I suggest, get a boost of energy elsewhere before committing to the line.
This place is amazing, and now they have another spot at the Harbor. I love their Ethiopian coffee. They roast all of their coffee in house and it is one of the only places I can get amazing coffee that is also organic. If you are hungry they have really good breakfast burritos from Mony’s. They have some fun specialty drinks, I like the Churro Cortado if I want something different.
Best coffee shop in town! They have great chai lattes and don’t charge extra for vegan milks. Their empanadas are incredible! We got the breakfast empanada and couldn’t believe how good it was. Line out the door on a Monday before noon, but worth the wait. The inside is bright and airy, but they also have some outdoor seating and an entire coffee garden across the street with trees and flowers (sit here!). Always love stopping at Dart.
Lavender latte, beach brew and spiced mocha were all great. Empanadas were the star of the show with the burrito and croissant were great.
Absolutely delicious! The almond croissant was so yummy I went back before heading home. So glad I came in when I did because I got the last one. Line gets long but our coffee order came out pretty fast. We ordered the June Bug Lavender Latte, Matcha Sunrise, Vanilla Latte and the Breakfast empanada. All drinks were made with perfection. The empanada was tasteful and the crust was perfectly crisped. The inside is so cutely decorated. There’s some seats and tables but both times I came in they were all taken. Will definitely be back!
Great coffee spot in the Funk Zone! The espresso was well made and the service was quick. The croissants were so fresh, we got the plain and pain au chocolat. Highly recommend for a morning coffee!

Wow! What a treat to stumble upon this place! Was looking for a quick place to stop on a road trip and this place came up. Easily accessible from the freeway, convenient parking, in a beautiful location and most importantly…..the drinks are AMAZING!!! I ordered the speciality cortado, matcha sunrise and oat chai. The scones were also quite tasty. Great seating inside and out. Overall a wonderful experience! We’ll be back for sure!
Loved DART Coffee in the Funk Zone! The line was long, but it was moving pretty fast. The staff is cheerful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The place itself was clean, arty, and funky! Their community garden across the street, is the perfect place to drink in your tasty beverage, the scenery, and the zen vibe. Give it a try.
This thoughtfully designed, bright and airy coffee shop brings together the very best of Southern California beachside splendor. The coffee solid, the extensive savory breakfast options, creative and satisfying. A great place to start the day or catch up with friends.
Much more than just a coffee shop. Incredible home made and locally made pastries. Hot breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast items are equally great. Lunch too. Close to a public parking lot which is a big deal in this area.
We got coffee here twice in our recent visit to Santa Barbara. The matcha sunrise was the most delicious drink ever. Our second visit they were actually closed and the owner gave us coffee anyway which was very good. I really appreciated how the company was involved in supporting the community and wasn’t afraid to take a stand against some of the things going on in this country right now.
This specialty coffee shop (4 inspiring locations) is everything a local coffee shop should be—and then some. The coffee alone is reason to come back daily (which I do): shade-grown, organic beans from Peru, crafted with real care daily by the owner, paired perfectly with organic milk that actually lets the flavor shine. You can taste the integrity in every cup. And the food? Unreal. Thoughtfully curated local pastries that feel special, not generic—especially the empanadas from Buena Onda, which are so good they deserve their own fan club. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. The baristas here aren’t just friendly—they’re highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. Every drink is made with intention, precision, and pride. You feel taken care of the moment you walk in. The owner deserves a special shoutout. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely listens, cares about the customer experience, and pours their heart into every detail. That care radiates through the entire team and the space itself. Speaking of the space—each location has its own distinct magic. The decor is stunning, warm, and inspiring, featuring local art created by the owners, which gives every shop a soulful, personal feel. It’s not just a place to grab coffee—it’s a place to be. This is community. This is craft. This is what happens when passion, quality, and heart come together. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out.
The vanilla latte was one of the best coffees I’ve had in my life. We went to the harbor location where you could enjoy your coffee and watch the boats in the harbor. This was a highlight of my Santa Barbara trip, my husband and I will be back!

I liked the coffee and atmosphere. But it was too hot to seat inside. The tables by the window are great to both work and enjoy the view.
I usually enjoy the coffee here, which is consistently good. However, on my recent visit, I decided to try the Matcha latte. Unfortunately, it was more watery than I'd prefer, lacking the richness I expect in a good Matcha. The chai latte was also just average, nothing particularly memorable. Despite this, the cafe has a charming Santa Barbara ambiance. It's a pleasant spot to relax, enjoy the breeze, and sip on a coffee.

The coffee here was great and they had a great assortment of pastries. The decor was cute inside very eclectic! The one downside is that it's really really crowded. The tables are all crime together in the lines form in between all the tables down the length of the restaurant. This coffee place also shares the space with tyger tyger, who offers average food at a high price.
We arrived late so did not get a chance to try any baked goods. I enjoyed the americano and would like to come back to try more. The staff were very nice!
We went to have our early afternoon snacks and ordered the following: Matcha Latte 2 Pastries Hot Chocolate Total: $25.59 with tips We got our pastries right after we paid for our order; however, it took us a little longer to get the hot drinks. We thought the hot chocolate was very sweet and lacked chocolate flavor. As for the matcha latte, I was unsure where the perfume tasted coming from—either from the matcha powder or the milk—and the flavor wasn’t that powerful either. For the pastries, we thought the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) wasn’t fresh; thus, it was not crunchy, moist, and had little buttery flavor. As for the other one, it's better than the chocolate croissant but could be better. Overall, the ambiance was very inviting, and the presentation or appearance of the products was very enticing. However, the pastries and hot drinks lacked quality. We can’t say much about the coffee, and we thought it could be pricey for the quality.

Stopped in this morning while driving through the Funk Zone and noticed this hip, nice looking coffee shop. Saw they had breakfast burritos, and found a spot to park. Line moved slow but staff was very friendly. Ordered an Americano and unfortunately it was pretty watery and I could hardly taste the espresso. Not up to snuff for modern quality coffee shops in my opinion. The real disappointment was the burritos. Clearly they are not prepared on site or at least not fresh. They totally overheated it and the tortilla was crispy, dry, and the whole thing was too hot to eat for a long time and lacked flavor. It was a bacon and egg burrito but it was mostly just beans and rice. Super underwhelming.. my son who loves burritos bailed on his less than half way in. Sadly won’t be stopping here again. Management please make moves to get this spot on the level it should be! Thank you.
I’m happy to come again another day; today seemed to be an off day. I’m surprised that - oven was broken - kombucha machine was broken - line out the door in the blazing heat - repeated my order 3 times to the cashier It’s a bit wild, and they were running a skeleton crew. Drip Coffee was great, though.
