The service was awesome. Our server was on top of everything. Refilled our water. Recommend food. The tomahawk was so good! The dessert sampler was really good. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Happy hour drink and food are half-priced with excellent taste and quality. For example : two beef sliders and a beer (before t&t) costs $11 total. What a deal. The vibe is good with mostly business people.
So good! I had the New York with mushrooms and truffle and potatoes au gratin. I ordered it medium and it was perfect. Delicious. We also shared a dessert sampler plate at our table and each item on it was impressive with bold, rich flavors. That makes it tough to share! Birks is my favorite steakhouse in the area. It's a very nice place.
Because we are disabled seniors, we use doordash to get meals. For after Christmas, I ordered for my retired brother and one for mom and me. Fantastic meal even if we couldn't eat at the restaurant. We had prime rib with creamed spinach and baked potato. My brother is a retired chef and said he was pleased to eat a meal cooked by a real chef! The prime rib was tender and accompanied with au jus, cream horseradish sauce. The charcuterie was abundant with sliced meats, cheese, spiced nuts, grapes, crisp chips.
We had such a lovely experience here. We don’t drink alcohol and decided to share a meal, and the staff handled everything with such kindness and ease. They even offered to split the dish for us, which immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. We ordered the bone marrow and the 16 oz steak cooked medium rare, and the steak was absolutely perfect. The portions were very generous. My wife was full after just a few bites, and I was completely stuffed by the end. What really stood out was the care and warmth from the team, including the manager. A small dessert with a candle was brought out at the end, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. It wasn’t about the dessert itself, but the thought behind it. We left feeling great and truly appreciated. Excellent food, generous portions, and exceptional hospitality.
Just had a really good meal at Birk’s in Santa Clara – 3955 Freedom Circle. It’s tucked away in the office buildings, so parking was easy. We got the wood-smoked prime rib, and it was fantastic, seriously smoky and tender. They now serve it daily which is a huge win! The bread is amazing too, we kept ordering more. Our server, Dennis, was incredible – super attentive and always seemed to know what we needed before we even asked. Honestly, a bit pricey but totally worth it for the quality. If you’re looking for a solid steak dinner, this is the place.
It was a dinner with leadership of the company, fantastic atmosphere, we ordered the appetizer sampler having Chipotle steak bits, fried calamari, blackened garlic fries, in main course, it was marys chicken, pork chops and 8oz Filet Mignon, all well cooked and delicious. I will suggest make reservation and then go. Its the hidden gem of Santa Clara and must order the dessart sampler.
Monday has a great deal on Prime Rib. Their steaks are tender and cooked perfectly. Never been disappointed with the quality of service or food when I've dined here.
I was treated for my Birthday. But Just coming in through the entrance we were greeted. They walked us to the our table and waited for us to sit down. Everyone was very friendly as well. I ordered the Tomahawk, it wasn't on the menu but, they offered it and other items as well.
Been here many many times whenever we crave steaks. This restaurant is tucked in the office buildings. Parking lot is at the back of the building. Every time when we come, we ask for Dennis. He's the best server you can ever get. He's friendly, polite and proactive. Sometimes I don't have to ask for refills, he already is ahead of the game and bring me my drink or whatever I was about to ask for. I don't come without him serving us. To start, theeir bread is very good. It comes out hot and soft. We can't stop eating it before our meals. Their appetizers are good too. We usually get their olive oil poached shrimps and fried calamari. You don't see the olive oil poached shrimps any other places and they're good. Their wood smoked prime rib is the bomb! They used to only serve this during the weekend awhile back. (We had come before during the weekend and was disappointed it got sold out). Now they have this daily. If it's your first time here, you gotta try their prime rib. You can taste the smoked flavor and it's not over-powering. It tastes much better than a regular prime rib you get elsewhere. Their steaks are excellent too. We usually get the filet mignon and the ribeye. They look it very well and it comes with 2 sides. Their pork chop is awesome, so is their sea bass and salmon. You just got to come and try them all. Now comes to the desserts. Their cheesecake is surprisingly good. It's light and fluffy. We really enjoyed it They also have private rooms for booking for gatherings or events. We booked one of their private rooms for family event before and got to customize the menu with the help of Robert (manager). Come support this local business that serve awesome food and services. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely Spectacular by steak house. Every meal & course has a distinctive Smokey flavor, that’s out of this world. Ines was an exceptions server! They have a great window list with 30-year Tawny Ports.
We had a marvelous lunch, mother and daughter time sitting on the outdoor patio of Birk's restaurant. The outstanding service and scrumptious food added to our luncheon time. My mom enjoyed a hot chocolate along with the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. I had the Chinese chicken salad with salmon and my sister enjoyed the prime rib special. The dessert menu called us, we splurged and had the chocolate chip ice cream along with the creme brulee. Susie our waitress was wonderful!
Every time come back to San Francisco, I will order a smoked steak. The quality and taste are great, and the service is great. Highly recommended.

Birk’s was pretty good overall. We started with the wedge salad, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very upscale with white tablecloths, super clean and appealing. My fries were phenomenal, and my dad said his sandwich and potato wedges were a solid 10/10. Unfortunately, my aunt and I both got the burger and it was disappointing, too much bread, and the beef patty was huge but had almost no flavor. That said, we still enjoyed the experience, and what you order can really make or break it. P.S. You need a reservation
This restaurant is located in a weird weird office building facility. The parking is all blocked off with ropes so you have to circle around to find the parking. Other than that, the food is really good. The lobster was presented really well that I had ordered, however it was a little bit less flavorful than I expected. Apparently this place is known for their steak. My friend had sea bass and it was really good. I should have ordered that. The cheesecake that we had for dessert was really good as well. Well worth a trip!

The steak was juicy on the inside, but the outside was extremely charred. This is probably the first time I've seen a steak burned that dark. It looked like the pan hadn't been cleaned and had layers of burnt residue left from repeated use. Overall, the portion size offered great value, especially from an Asian perspective. For mains, we got the New York steak and peppered filet mignon. Both were cooked to the right doneness, so props to the kitchen for that. But the meat quality? Meh. Kinda tough, not much flavor, and just not what I’d expect for this price point. You can tell the chef did everything they could to save mediocre meat. Surprisingly, the baked potato stole the show. Seriously. Super fragrant, great texture — not dry, not mushy, just right. Every bite was satisfying. Honestly, that potato is doing all the heavy lifting for this three-star review.

Hamachi is good. Pepper-crust fillet stake is not, despite the amount of pepper, steak isn’t flavorful and source is bland. I never use salt on my steaks and today I had to. Service doesn’t exist, waiter or bartender didn’t bother to ask me once how is my food over the two courses. 1 star for the hamachi and 1 star for the host.
Something must have gone wrong as my expectations were set high based on the reviews. The clam chowder had a strong taste of flour and the clams were dry, tough, and stringy. The salad looked very much like what is served at a shopping center food court (which is perfectly fine for a food court). The steak was dry and tough. I have also not seen such well used silverware at any decent restaurant - it matches what is provided at a cafeteria or food court. I am really irked at how poor things went.
We are a group of five people. Overall service wise, we did not feel been well served and been welcomed; the waiter was not in a mood of serving our table, slow and arrogant attitude, and upon twice of checking the bill, he still made a mistake of a wrong charge. Food wise, they claim the steaks are slowly cooked but in fact, all the prime ribs and fillet mignon we ordered as medium rare were not slowly cooked, outer range was fully cooked and inside was gradually turning from medium well to pinky color. Not to mention that one friend of our party ordered medium rare new york steak, it came with medium well and when we asked the waiter for checking this steak, the waiter asked to cut the steak at the middle point to prove the meat is pink at the center... It is a slowly cooked steak, why the internal meat isnt stably pink color all over? Anyway, the waiter admitted the steak wasnt cooked right, and sent back to the kitchen to remake a medium rare. after 20min they did it successfully. But when the waiter serves the remake new york steal, he looked like he was not happy re-serving this steak to our table, and asked us to confirm if our friend wanted medium rare... what a joke. The price does not match the quality of food and service. Will definitely not come again.
