Ca'Bianca is highly praised for its beautiful setting in a historic Victorian home with lovely gardens, creating a charming ambiance. Customers rave about the attentive service, extensive wine list, and delicious, fresh pasta. Some find the food inconsistent, with occasional over-saucing or lack of flavor.

Located a block or two away from the main strip of the downtown Santa Rosa, there’s this cute little Italian restaurant. The interior is beautiful, giving a nice warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, there being a beautiful garden as a waiting area. We ordered the Caesar Salad and the two specials that were available, that being mushroom ravioli and filet mignon. Everything was amazing and delicious. The ravioli had a nice rich and creamy white sauce, but it didn’t feel too heavy. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were almost the star of the show. They were super light and creamy, but had such a good velvety texture that kept me going back for more. The crème brûlée was also very good, my only complaint was that the sugar on top was a little under torched, not giving that satisfying break. The service was really nice, coming back often to check in on us, even though we were in the corner of the restaurant. I came during the winter time at night, but I am sure to come back during the day time so I can enjoy the nice scenery outside I saw on my way out!
This restaurant is a staple for our "special" celebration meals. The staff are top shelf and skilled at their craft. The chef is a master of kitchen wizardry. The beautiful historical grounds and home give you a very authentic experience. I recommend 'ca Bianca to anyone whom wishes to have a great meal, a fine dining experience, and taste of Sonoma county.
An amazing Italian restaurant with very delicious food. The starter Crème of mushroom soup was fantastic. Along with my medium rare filet minion steak and my partners rare rack of lamb. Drinks are phenomenal and so was the service.
Went for restaurant week and had a fantastic 3 course menu at a reasonable price. Wine selections were fantastic both by the glass or by the bottle, also reasonable. Service was very good and the Ambiance was nice though it did get kind of crowded and loud and even warm around mid point of the meal but overall it was nice to see a restaurant busy and feel the energy
Food was absolutely incredible. Servers were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was just lovely. Overall, the dining experience was incredible.
Great restaurant in a historic building. The food was really good and waiters engaging. We came at night but the grounds look nice for events as well.
My husband and I moved to Santa Rosa a few months ago from a different part of Sonoma county and are always looking for a great place to eat. We were referred to Ca’Bianca and we are so glad we came to! The location is stunning! I adore the vintage look! I love that the owners preserved that piece of history of this location/area! Food/Drinks: I had a glass of white wine, my husband had an old-fashioned, and we started with some delicious calamari (part of their special; not on menu) and bread w/ olive oil & balsamic vinaigrette! The food is absolutely delicious! You can genuinely taste everything is made from scratch! I had the Salmon served over grilled zucchini and potato gratin and my husband had their Daily Entrée Special which was a savory steak with veggies and potato gratin! For dessert I had the Crème Brule and he had the Strudel di Mele (if you love apple pie, this is it haha)! Our waiter was sweet, knowledgeable and attentive! They have a great team! We went to dinner on a Sunday which you would assume be a little slower/quieter, but it was busy. Our waiter was busy, but his team was attentive and would come and refill our waters and remove our empty plates! This places is amazing 10/10 stars from me! Will definitely be coming back and try the pasta next!
Ca’Bianca is a stellar Italian restaurant in an actual white house (as the name suggests), that is also an historic site. Everything I (and the others in my parties) have had here is perfection. Flavors are well balanced and portions are generous. I think it’s the best Italian restaurant in Sonoma county.
Carlos was awesome. We had a party of 12 and everyone was so accommodating. Food was great drinks were good. Definitely will return. Go with the gnocchi appetizer.
We had a family dinner a Ca'Bianca the end of August while visiting Santa Rosa. What a positive experience! We sat outdoors and the setting is so pleasing. Our waiter was so attentive and on spot. Our meal started with their delicicous home-made artisan bread served with olive oil. It was so good we had to stop ourselves from eating too much to save room for our meals. All five of us had a different entree and everyone raved about their individual meal. Their pastas are made from scratch and the great taste and quality ingredients are evident along with their focus on fresh, local, organic ingredients. We all had different desserts and shared. Everything was delicious. Their wine selection is very impressive and provides something for every wine drinkers palate. They also offer great cocktails. I will definitely be eating at Ca'Bianca on my next vist. Thank you Ca'Bianca for a wonderful meal experience.
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing ambiance. Alejandra was our server, and she was outstanding; she didn’t miss a beat, despite serving our entire room and a couple of tables outside our area. Food is delicious and the pastas area must, as they are handmade. All was fresh and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. We didn’t have any cocktails but opted for our own wine; corkage is $25. Parking is easy as they have their own dedicated parking lot, but there are also lots of street parking. This place is VERY lively. If you’re looking for a quite area to sit, I would suggest on the deck. The areas we were in were lively with lots of parties of 6+. Would totally come back again!
This restaurant has beautiful scenery, both indoors and outdoors. The building was supposedly built in the 60s and an antique feel that adds to the quaint look that's so unique and charming. My husband & I ordered 2 appetizers, a pasta, and a main and found the dishes quite filling and delicious. We especially enjoyed the pollo entree, which was interestingly more of a chicken puff pastry. The complimentary bread is also quite good - definitely have it with the balsamic vinegar. Overall highly recommend!
Yum!! This is the best Italian in Sonoma county. We came in for date night and everything was so good. Cocktails, bread, but the pasta!! The pasta was obviously fresh/house made and was so good, the consistency of the noodles was awesome. We got the carbonara and bolognese, pretty basic of us, but woah it was great! We will be sure to come back for more date nights, there’s plenty of things we need to try.
This has become my favorite restaurant for special occasions / date night. The food, service, and atmosphere is amazing ! The aesthetic of the victorian home is beautiful no matter if you sit inside, on the front porch, or garden. It is very calm, and quite making it easy to have a conversation with your table / partner. The service is very welcoming and professional. The waiters are super friendly and attentive and offer helpful suggestions when asked. The food is always amazing and reasonably priced for what you are getting. The dishes are also played very nice aswell. My favorite so far has been the Salmon. Much better than your standard chain restaurant meal and only a couple of dollars more expensive. If you want to give this place a try without breaking the bank too much I would suggest going in for the lunch specials which are around 22$ (pictured).
This was by far one of my favorite dining experiences! It's located in a beautiful Victorian home with gorgeous gardens you can actually dine in. The food was fantastic, very authentic. The wine list was extensive, and our waitor knew how to pair the wine with our food. The scent of jasmine was glorious on the porch and only enhanced our experience. I highly recommend the Pollo dish, which is stuffed with prosciutto and baked in puff pastry. I'd give it 10 stars, it was that good!!
Incredible food!! My family came here for a birthday dinner and we had a wonderful time. SO charming! The servers are super kind and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful gardens. Loved the Butternut Squash dish and the desserts were amazing. Free easy parking out front. Just perfect.
The food was amazing as always. When we arrived, there was another table with about six people, and they were very noisy. The service was just okay. We had to ask to get our drinks refilled and they sat empty on the table for quite awhile. We also ask for a bread refill and had to ask a few times before it got filled. There were 6 tables on our side of the building and it looked like, just one waiter servicing all of them with 2 support staff....So I do recognize that.
Alright, not amazing. Things are a bit over done. Place is trying to be upscale Italian, when it's mid at best. Salads have too much going on, pasta dishes were very over sauced (good sauces, just waay too much; we're talking half a cup leftover after all the pasta is done). Could be much better with a tad less. Portions were otherwise good, menu had variety, service and ambience were nice.
A beautiful restaurant with a wonderful ambience with so much potential but lacks detail. This might be the first restaurant I write a review in Sonoma since there’s much potential with poor execution. Ordered (party of 2): 1. Gnocchi - 4 would be perfect if the gnocchi was just a bit more chewy. Excellent use of gorgonzola. 2. Impepata - 5 fresh big clams and mussels. Beautiful tomato broth with parsley. 3. Frutti Di Mare - 3 keep your pasta water sodium lvl at 5 percent 4. Dry aged ny strip -3.5 Also the steak was cooked well but underseasoned. Not sure if it was on purpose as ifs served w jus, but still such a disgrace to silence the flavors of the meat by not seasoning it early enough. It was a little surprising to have such delicious appetizers, and then a totally bland main course! All the ingredients were fresh and cooked very well with some under seasoned. I can maybe understand the reason the steak wasnt salted much, but really couldnt believe that the frutti di mare was so bland. It was as if something happened in the kitchen that night. There was a long wait between the main course and the appetizers. In fact, the two tables next to us couldnt wait any longer and left without getting their main course. Overall, the menu and the recipes are curated well, but either some line chefs are messing up in the kitchen or something happened in the kitchen that night. Service: The servers need to be trained. Our server could not even remember the prices of the TWO specials and was never to be found after we ordered. I actually had to find the host to get my bill after waiting over 20 minutes. Just a little better staff training can go a long way at a restaurant like this. The tables next to us never received their food for almost 45 minutes. We also waited about 30 min. When someone mentioned it to the waiter, he said “I know” instead of apologizing or explaining the cause of the delay. The plates you guys use at this restaurant are all very large and the tables are tiny, yet the water & wine bottles stay on the table. Atmosphere: Reminds me of my classic new orleans restaurants. Beautiful classic home turned into a restaurant. The garden is beautiful too. I would highly recommend the owners to install sound dampeners on the ceiling or the corners of the wall and it will do wonders. Especially if you want to keep the table spacings this small, you dont want this much reverb from every table. Its really minor adjustments that can make this place so much better. I hope that the service/ bland food was just a one time mistake. I forgot to mention that they have a small but a great wine list too. I will return for another experience.
Atmosphere was great, both indoor and out. Greeter was nice and got luck as they could accommodate a garden table without reservation. Thank you for that. The area is cool in the evening so bring a jacket. Food was unfortunately quite mediocre. Very surprised of the high rating. Menu selection like some comment mentioned was not extensive, but it’s fine. If executed right, dishes could still be tasty. But nope. Beet salad was pretty standard. Pastas and pollo was unfortunately quite disappointing. Servers were friendly but lack attentiveness. Didn’t tell us about the special, had to ask for water a few times. Felt a bit forgotten in the garden. Would be really cute place if the food is as great as the atmosphere.
While staying in Santa Rosa we came here for dinner one evening. The setting is in a beautiful, old mansion with plenty of parking to the side of it. They have beautiful garden areas to sit outside and plenty of indoor seating as well. Service was very nice and personable. The menu is rather basic though. The appetizer list was decent, salad list was too simple, pasta list was awesome – it was the best topic on the menu, but the entrée (secondi) list was way too simple, offering just one of each protein. We shared their rigatoni, which was excellent! I don’t think I’ve ever had peas in a red sauce and this was great! The sausage had an odd texture to it, but the flavors seemed decent. The portion was perfect for splitting too! Next up was their chicken dish, which was stuffed with prosciutto and cheese and wrapped in dough. It was ok, but lacked flavor, especially in regards to the chicken itself. Their wine list is decent, they offer a local, Balletto wine for a really good price. Overall, not sure what all the hype is about regarding this particular place, but we probably wouldn’t return, unless they revamped their menu.
One of the only Italian places open on a Monday for lunch so we gave it a try. Atmosphere is a bit old time-y which might be cozy at night but felt a little underwhelming during the day. We orders both pastas and they were very over-sauced and heavy. Not really authentic. One was advertised as “light tomato cream sauce” but in reality it was heavy and the amount of sauce very overwhelmed the pasta. Our bread bowl had not been cleaned and there was someone else’s tomato meat sauce on bowl which was pretty gross. Waiter was attentive.
I’m honestly surprised by the high ratings this place receives. As someone who has managed a restaurant, I have certain expectations — and unfortunately, this place fell short on several fronts. My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. We checked in with the hostess and were seated outside, where there were no heaters — unlike the deck section, which did have them. It was a chilly evening, and that already made things less comfortable. Shortly after being seated, we were served a baguette — it was tasty, but oddly came without butter. Since our food was delayed, we asked for a couple more pieces. The second batch was so hard we couldn’t eat it. Our server noticed, apologized, and brought out more — but unfortunately, the next round was just as inedible, so we gave up on the bread altogether. We were seated at 7:00 p.m. but didn’t receive our appetizer until 8:00 p.m. — a full hour later. We also ordered two cocktails: the house margarita and something called the “Smoky Babana.” Neither was enjoyable. My wife actually sent hers back and ordered a glass of wine instead. Timing of the courses was completely off. We were supposed to get the gnocchi as a separate course before the filet mignon, but both came out at the same time. To make things worse, the $46 filet — ordered medium rare — came out medium. The cut was not impressive, and the overall quality of the meat was disappointing. The only redeeming quality of the evening was the ambience. The atmosphere was lovely, and the space had potential. But food, service timing, and overall execution missed the mark for what should’ve been a special evening. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
