Ellie's Tap&Wine is a popular spot with a great atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious food. The sea bass, French onion soup, and raspberry soufflé are highly recommended. The patio with a fireplace is a highlight, though indoor seating can be loud.

We had the ceasar salad , cote de boeuf, duck fat fries and skillet cookie for dinner. All the food was amazing and came out nicely seasoned. Wine I got was Jonata "Todos" Red blend and that has been the best wine I ever had , it was sweet and savory and had silky / velvety tannins . Perfect for the steak and fries. Kyle took great care of us and the busser was friendly and helpful throughout our dinning experience. Highly recommend and will be back one day ! *I started serving the steak before the photo so thats why the plating is off *
Came here for Sunday brunch while staying at Chumash (their restaurants could use some help in the service department), and we were pleasantly surprised. The location and outdoor seating were beautiful! The hostess and server were both kind and knowledgeable—and most importantly, the food was very good. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time we're in the area.
After a fun night at Chumash Casino, we finally decided to try Victor Bar & Grill in Solvang — and wow, I’m so glad we did! I’d been hearing great things about this place, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife ordered the filet mignon, and it was perfection — tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how she likes it. I went for the Victor Burger fully loaded, and let me tell you… this thing is next-level. Juicy, piled high with toppings, and honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The drinks deserve their own shoutout — not only delicious, but also strong. It only took me two to catch a good buzz (and I’m not a lightweight). The cocktails were crafted so well, you can tell they put care into every pour. The ambience is super cute and quaint — perfect for date night, but also laid-back enough to just enjoy and relax. And the staff? Absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience feel special.
Great brunch! $1 beers all day Sundays! Ceviche, huevos rancheros, and burger were all home runs! Highly recommend this place!
My husband and I tried The Victor the first time this weekend for his birthday dinner. We were immediately impressed by the space. I had requested to be outside, but it was too cold out for us unfortunately, because the patio is beautiful. The main dining room was very cute. The art choices felt thoughtful and intentional. So ambiance got a 5/5. We tried near everything on the menu. For our appetizers the shrimp cocktail had perfectly poached shrimp, the bbq oysters were my happy place, the raw oysters were bright and sweet, the farmers salad was full of delicious components, and the tuna crudo was buttery and generously portioned. Then to our mains we ordered the lobster and the tomahawk. Both were fantastic. The lobster took me a bit of guard because it has a bit of a smokey taste (intentionally) from the grill, so good, just different. The tomahawk was amazing. Every single bite was tender and perfectly cooked. Our only request would be that the tomahawk come sliced. It was a bit of an endeavor at the table. Everything was fantastic and we would order it all again. I had a glass of champagne that was dry and lovely. My husband tried a couple cocktails, all of which he loved. The service was attentive, helpful, and enjoyable. We are so excited to have another great option in the valley.
Our evening started off with a wonderful treat made by Kayleigh at the bar. Yum! Not only were the drinks great, but so was the service. This was then followed up with the brie for an appetizer and a luscious dinner. Vanessa got a wonderfully moist salmon, and I got a very juicy tri-tip with bearnaise sauce! You can never go wrong with bernaise, but unfortunately, I have found it difficult to find. The Victor didn't disappoint. I'm a huge bernaise sauce fan. It was great with the salmon as well as Kaylee's kids chicken (which was a healthy portion) Again, yum! We will be back. Everyone should visit too.
Wow. This place was so good. Definitely a goto when you visit solvang. The ceviche was on my top 3 list and the mains for me and my wife tasted amazing. An not to forget the dessert. A meal I'll remember from start to finish. The staff was super friendly. Well be back on our next trip up there.
Another great find in the San Yanez Valley. The food atmosphere and service was a delightful surprise. This is a top-notch restaurant.
This hidden gem in the valley is worth discovering! From the inviting atmosphere to the delectable, indulgent food and welcoming staff, you'll love the sophisticated yet unpretentious vibe at The Victor. Highly recommend dining outdoors next to the fireplace if the weather permits. With every seat being quite cozy, you can't go wrong. I loved the fresh, raw oysters, and the tri tip was cooked to perfection. The bearnaise was buttery and herbaceous, pairing perfectly with the steak. The pot de creme for dessert was phenomenal as well, chocolatey with a hint of sea salt. Reservations highly recommended here. (Brunch was incredible too!)
New fav place for breakfast! The Bucket of Bacon is a must and the setting is beautiful. Really want to come back at night and check out the bar.
Great place for Brunch or Breakfast, beautiful restaurant, and Bar and patio with fireplace, and heaters. Very sophisticated, very elegant.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Staff is very attentive. Michael was especially helpful at making recommendations from the menu and about activities in the area. We will definitely be back.
We had a very nice Thanksgiving meal at the Victor. The staff was very nice, personable and attentive. Food was very good, and they had a decent selection of wine, beer, and mixed drinks. The patio seating is dog friendly, and they have propane tower heaters out amongst the patio seating area. Very nice atmosphere. The bathroom was clean and had candles burning which provided a laid back atmosphere. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Victor for anyone looking for an upscale restaurant experience.
Food was amazing. We liked the sea bass, very flavorful throughout. The French onion soup was the best we’ve had everywhere. The raspberry soufflé was very refreshing as well. We were very impressed that when we told the server everything was for share, they served the entrees in separate plates. Top notch service.
Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner and what a gem! We sat on their beautiful patio, which has heating lamps. I highly recommend the tri-tip and the orange wine. An absolutely delicious pairing. The restaurant itself has a killer ambiance, with plenty of cozy indoor and outdoor seating. This was my favorite meal in Santa Ynez!

Food was delicious, service accommodated us even though our group size changed multiple times, lovely atmosphere

Chill, modern atmosphere on their outdoor patio - very relaxing. Service was also very attentive. The BLT&E (eggs) was good although the eggs were a bit undercooked. The cobb salad was also very tasty and had lots of avocado, which wasn't even listed on the ingredients. Unfortunately, as is common with a lot of reheated chicken breast, the chicken was overcooked and tough. Still a good overall experience and we'll go there again. But the food frequently seems to be hit or miss.
My wife and I had dinner with two other couples. We had dinner outside as while the main dining room was nice it seemed a bit loud for conversations. While it was a bit chilly to start with the heaters it was very comfortable. We started with the rajas con crema which was a bit thin and the tortilla seemed old as they were a bit hard. I had the stuffed pepper which was very tasty though the truffles were more for show than taste as they had little flavor and my wife's salmon was good as well. A friend had the whole fish which was cooked perfectly though her husband wasn't a fan of the sauce on his tri-tip. Overall we enjoyed the experience.

The Victor has a beautiful outdoor seating area with the fireplace. Nice indoors also. But for me the food was very disappointing I ordered the roasted chicken and what I ended up with was a piece of chicken breast with a wing on it that was way too dry for a restaurant of that quality and I wasn't happy with the side dishes which included overcooked fingerling potatoes. The other two people with me ordered the salmon and tri-tip, but neither of them was happy with the side dishes either. Total bill for the three of us was about $190 and that did not include any alcohol.

One of the more bizarre places I've been to. Went about a month ago, but I still think about it. Cocktails were not good. I think one was called a passion fruit margarita but there was no PF flavor, just orange. The olive bread was the same way, microscopic amounts of olive, but the worst part was that it was charred beyond recognition and completely inedible, oh and it cost like 10 bucks for 5 tiny pieces. Service was really strange too. Granted it was busy, but we just wanted to sit out front and have some drinks. They said they don't serve that area and we'd have to order at the bar. Fine. Except bar seating was full and the left side of the bar was 3 people deep, so we were just standing there like idiots blocking the door to outside, like completely in the way of servers. Finally one of the servers takes our order and we sit in front. They bring the drinks, the food, check on us, everything. Except when it came time for the check they were nowhere to be found. Like they were doing us a favor, but now we had to go in to the bar to pay, just so strange. The lady and I certainly didn't come here with the intention of talking about how bad the drinks, food, and procedures are at this establishment, but that's all we talked about the whole time we were there. I hate confrontation, so instead we'll just never be back, and more than likely will think twice about eating out anywhere. I think The Victor thinks they're in Napa, but no, you're not.

Don’t go here! We had a reservation booked for the patio (which is the reason we wanted to go there) and when we arrived were told they had no room on the patio. The guy at the host stand couldn’t put together enough comprehensive words to even try to explain, just kept saying we had to sit inside. I know mistakes happen but he was useless and ambivalent. Zero effort or interest in fixing their mistake. We left and walked a block to Trattoria Grappolo…excellent meal, service and atmosphere. Skip the Victor and go to Grappolo!
