It is one of our favorite places to visit for a protein packed meal. In all my visits to this location, the ingredients have always been freshly cooked, and the servings are hearty. They are constantly swapping out the food trays on the serving line. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is usually kept clean. During busy times, dirty tables can be expected. This location is recommended for anyone looking for a filling, delicious meal.
I absolutely love this location. I always order to go and it’s always a positive experience every time I come here. They are all really nice but there’s a man here who has some of the best customer service. Stacey if you see this you’re awesome!!!! The food is always on point as well, I haven’t had to return or refund anything. I will continue to come back to this location.
Management must be reading the negative reviews about the employees not giving enough meat because I got plenty of meat in my steak burrito when I went about 2 weeks ago. The gentleman who served me was extremely friendly and bubbly.

I go to Chipotle whenever I go to eat. Because I know it's the only place I can get gluten-free service. This Chipotle we went to was the best I've ever been to it was so clean the food was fresh the people were polite I was very very pleased and plan to go here again on our way to a hockey game.

I usually get some kind of a steak bowl or a chicken bowl. I do know what I'm going to get with them every time and that makes it easy to want to go there because of flavor is consistent. I recommend it for getting food but if you're not a teenager I probably would tell you just to get your food to leave.

The quality at this location is generally poor. We won’t be back. Our last visit was particularly bad. They put scraps of chicken (bottom of the pan) on our orders and brought out fresh chicken immediately after. We asked if we could get some of the fresh chicken and we were told we would have to pay for double chicken. There was literally not one “piece” of chicken in my order, just shreds. We like Chipotle but avoid this location.
Food is good. But mobile orders have been under portioned AND wrong 100% of the times I’ve used it. I guess there’s something to say for standing there watching them make it when you say no sour cream please you can catch them before they plop a blob of sour cream on your entree. Or when you ask and pay for double meat that you actually get it. Or that when you ask for no rice that you get no rice. Or when you ask for a tortilla on the side you get it. Sucks to have to babysit them making the order but if you do it’s good food.

Lady who was making our order was really nice but the guy at the cash register was a bit unprofessional, complained about doing his job? Had an attitude as well when we were just being nice. Food was AMAZING though

Full scoop of rice, full scoop of black beans.. half a scoop of chicken. When i asked for the full scoop,response was it's double charge. I responded with, we can talk about that after I get the full scoop. Never got it, it's BS to argue with.
Terrible customer service. The girl started making my salad and asked another girl to go get the dressing. That girl came back and said we ran out. I looked at the girl making the food and asked if she could make it a bowl then. I don’t want a salad without dressing. She looked at me and said “I can flip this over and pick off the lettuce for you. I just don’t want to waste the food”. I get that, and I don’t want a salad with no dressing. Should have figured you were out of dressing before making a salad. No good customer service anymore.
Food was fine, but they have a promo for free guacamole if you sign up for their rewards program, so I ordered it on my burrito and when I went to pay they said their system wasn’t working and it couldn’t be redeemed and it had never worked on their system. When I said I wouldn’t have ordered it they just scraped it off in the garbage. When I said they shouldn’t advertise it they just said there’s nothing they could do.
Poor management = poor experience. Frontline help and cashier disinterested, terse and unfriendly. The food was okay, but a smile and a thank you would be nice. Skip this location if you want to be welcome.
I came here for the first (and most likely) last time during the "we're-sorry-we-made-people-sick-here's-a-free-burrito" promotion. I had a steak burrito, but it just wasn't very good. The steak was flavorless. My wife had the barbacoa, and while it was better, I can't justify paying the prices they charge for their food.
When I first walked in, there was no one in line . The line crew were just standing there talking amongst themselves and waiting. They were all very kind. I had several orders - our total bill was over $135.00 the food was made quickly. When I got to the counter I asked the cashier if I could put the individual bags in one bag and she said No you asked for individual bags! As I went to grab one bag to show her you can wrap them like this and but in the larger bag telling her just give me extra bags and I will do it on the side. SHE literally snatch the bag out of my hand and proceeded to yell at me that I only asked for individual bags. I was shocked at her reaction, response and tone. Lecturing me in coming in at a busy time of the day with a large order. She talked really fast as if she was on speed or something. Oddest thing. I said why would you snatch the bag like that and be so condescending and rude. It’s 2 extra bags ! The picture shows how she started lecturing me again about coming at a busy time of day. By that time more people were in line. One lady next to me apologized that happened and she was a customer! To top it off she said she was the store manager. What? Really? It’s too bad because the employees were all so good and yet Store Manger was not with the program of just being nice.
I ordered to go today and wife picked it up for me. Got a steak burrito and when I was eating it at home I didn't even see a piece of steak in the burrito until half way through and done... When I finished the burrito I counted about 7 pieces of dried old steak. I also order chips and salsa. The chips were stale and not even lightly salted. Disappointment all around. People weren't lying when they said quality has gone downhill since the Taco Bell CEO took over.
Why are the portions so small... I got a 3 finger pinch of cheese.... and it costs $20 a bowl. Last time I go to Chipotle. It's gone down hill so hard.

Paid $12 dollars for tacos that had a pinch of meat in it. Went back and asked if that was the correct amount of meat that supposed to be in the tacos they said they would fix it. The girl that did the tacos had the ugliest expression. Eh not the best, we shouldn’t have to go back and ask for the correct amount of meat.
I just had a manager (either Yadira or Stacey, not sure because she refused to give me her name) throw a fit in front of the entire store when I politely asked for a full serving of chicken, as I hadn’t been given one. She angrily put on gloves, dug through the bowl, and started tossing food out of the container onto the counter to “prove” there was chicken, saying, “Look, there’s chicken, and more here too.” Then she blamed me for wasting the food and said she had to make a new bowl because of my request. The way she handled the situation—blaming the customer and acting childishly—was both disgusting and disappointing. I was just asking for what I paid for, but the response was way out of line.
I’ve been seeing the tv add with the brisket rice , etc. we ordered it 1st time today at the Santee Ca location. Nothing like the TV add. All mushed together and very poor. Not to mention, it was $37.00 no drinks
The staff is so incredibly rude, especially a female worker who’s name I did not get. I got two bowls one with double protein and they gave me the smallest portion. Please find another job if you don’t like it here and are going to be rude to customers.
Horrible customer service. For people to spend their money it was a bad experience so I didn't buy it. Asked for a salad and the rice that usually comes on it and she said it would be extra one or the other. Asked for a little more chicken and she said I can give you this much before it's double. This much was like 4 tiny pieces!! Asked for two salad dressings cause they're never filled up and she just stared at it for a min. I said never mind ill go to my chipotle, and as i left she said its the same everywhere. I let her know it's not! No need to say which other ones I go to, the point is the service. Lucky I didn't get her name. After all it's customer service and customers are why they have a paycheck. Prices don't matter but the service does. I will NEVER go to that one again.
i got this place regularly for a while. got one bad meal from them and i haven't pooped right since then. it's now been a day since i had the meal. today i got a sharp jabbing pain in the right side of my stomach and it hasn't gone away. it's been SEVERAL hours. do not get food here.
I literally just got 8 sides of rice for $22 and when I asked how much a side was they told me it was 75 cents to $1 they were charging me and I think the manager came telling everyone no you have to charge him more and literally all the employees started looking at each other don’t know what to do I really don’t think the manger wants to be here everyone else was every nice
I went there, thinking that it would be clean and the food presented in a fresh way. Wasn't Chipotle shut down for an ecoli break out some years back? Instead I found the food looked like it was slopped in its containers and quite possibly the good from the day before. The employees looked sloppy just like it's food. This place needs new managers that care about the food and cleanliness. It's gross!!.
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would… My boyfriend and I have come in 3 times and every single time the SAME girl, who refused to give her name when asked, has treated us terribly each time. The first time we came in, we asked for extra rice and for no reason at all she gave us attitude. Upon reminding her it was extra rice we had asked for she gave a snarky face and responded with “that’s gonna be all for tonight” even though the rice had just been refilled. We insisted upon extra rice and she rolled her eyes and put a small little scoop in and then proceeded to ignore us. The second time we went in, she had attitude throughout our entire interaction, and again made the cashier experience poor. Today, we went in again, giving her the benefit of the doubt and honestly hoping that maybe she wouldn’t be working. But of course she was there, and she rung us up for our food. We ordered a large chip and a large drink and she sassily responded that they didn’t have large chips and that she would have to charge us for 2 small chips, which we didn’t mind paying, it was her tone, facial expressions and rudeness that continues to upset us when she is the one we interact with. She finished our transaction and walked away and then we reminded her we needed our cup for the large drink to which she says “I didn’t charge you for one” and just stared at us blankly. Without an apology or anything, she rung us up annoyed and didn’t say anything else to us. This is when we asked for her name and she glared and said she didn’t have to. We found from our receipt that her name is Yadira. I have worked in customer service for years, and am usually on the side of giving people kindness and understanding. However, she has shown us none of that and so I feel it’s important I wrote this. Her poor customer service is the reason we have left angry and upset from this chipotle 3 times!!!! Ridiculous!!!!
TERRIBLE customer service. Whichever crew assisted my friend and I Oct 30 at 6:30PM, shame on you. In particular the shorter girl at the front of the line and the cashier with the short hair. Not only was the food bland and lack any seasoning, I received incredibly sassy and condescending remarks from the cashier. Also, thank you for not sealing my food all the way or giving us any utensils after I asked. I asked a simple question as to which was steak and which was chicken, I got a rude response from the short-haired cashier. The first girl kept rushing the customers in front and behind us, including myself. Speak up next time, we are all struggling with the masks. Just an awful AWFUL experience. Never returning. I'll make the trip from Lakeside to El Cajon instead of this one in Santee. Yuck.
AVOID THIS CHIPOTLE AT ALL COST! Rude, customer service is strongly lacking, food quality is poor, decent at its very best! Just a continued terrible experience whether it’s me placing an online order or going into their building to make an order in person. All around one of the worst Chipotles there is in San Diego!
I had a bad experience here. I’m vegetarian and they gave me chicken in my vegetarian bowl. I contacted customer service and they refunded me, but considering it was a veggie bowl that is a lame mess up. Also the staff when I have went in before has been rude and talking to each other more than the customers. Probably understaffed which I understand but it was not a good experience.
I have never been to such a dirty place to eat! This place was ridiculous I sat near the window and had to move trash and clean my area . I bought chips and those were gross! Had a chicken bowl made by one of the rudest person ever and wasn't much of anything in it but rice! Just gross. I also seen nothing but teenagers working so maybe it's a leadership issues. Than I walk across to coldstone see nothing but young adults working but I had a clean area to eat! Waste of 60.00!
I just did an online order and went to go pick it up. The portions are very small compared to when you go through the actual line inside. The rice in my bowl didn’t even cover the bottom of my bowl. I asked for extra on an item and got a regular portion that I would get inside the store going through the line. The person working to go I’ve had problems with before about portions and spoke up about it to a manger prior. Maybe 3-4 weeks ago. Clearly nothing has changed. The person working to go today doesn’t even change gloves after touching her face. When she asked for my name she pushed her glasses up with the gloves she grabbed food with, handed me my order then proceeded to continue grabbing cheese and lettuce. This place has gone down hill.

The burrito was blown out on all sides, the bowl was mashed up and spilling all over my bag, and when it came time to eat, there was maybe a tablespoon of meat and 80% rice. In addition to that, my order for mixed up, for now the third time in a row, the chips were stale, and the guac exploded all over the bag before I even touched it. I am absolutely done buying food from this restaurant, the quality has gone severely down while the price has skyrocketed - $52 for two people?! As a once huge fan, I am super disappointed.

Came in here the other night and while waiting in line I observed a worker cleaning one of the containers out that hold the containers of food. She was spraying a chemical inches away from uncovered food. Not safe or sanitary. Bottle was sitting where they make the food (what’s on the bottom of the bottle is also questionable. When asked what we wanted as we were debating on leaving due to this they let us know they only had 2-3 meats available but NO Chicken. While a bunch of chicken was currently being cooked on the grill. So we asked what about that chicken and were told “that chicken we will only be using for mobile orders”. We left due to it not being sanitary and the bad customer service. They still had 40 mins to be open and were already cleaning and not making more food for customers walking in. This place needs to demote who was in charge and fix their sanitation. Upon reading other reviews it seems I am not the only one who was met with rudeness from this employee on numerous occasions. They posted their picture so I will be adding it in my review as I don’t know the name.

Had ordered a kids chicken quesadilla meal, picked up my order and drove all the way home to find out the order of a chicken quesadilla, black beans and white rice was missing the quesadilla. Not sure how you forget the main part of the meal?
Walked in for dinner, had to wait 3 minutes before I was helped even though there were 2 people right there cleaning 2 hours before close, everyone here is a teenager or early 20s they don’t give a shit about any customer, they had 20 bags of chips out but was told they had ran out of chips and then when we asked “what about all those bags right there?” They said those are for online order customers only, (screw me walking in to order right??) Owner please email me so I can teach you how to run your franchise. This is an embarrassment to all other chipotles in the San Diego area. No customer service small portions this place must be on its last legs especially after seeing all these reviews. Do better!
Chipotle generally has good food but some of their locations do a bad job. I would recommend going to a different location because the food is generally not that great because they overcook the protein and they give you very little. The proportions of what they give you is awful, you'll ask for a little vegetables and you'll leave with 2 pieces of meat and the rest will be all vegetables. It is actual highway robbery. For the price, you should get way better.
Cheap cheap cheap…. Come on! When asked for extra cheese I was told I had to pay an additional $1.75 for additional cheese. They give half what they used to. They gave me two broken taco shells and when I asked for whole unbroken ones the manager actually rolled her eyes.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE, JUST GO TO THE STORE GROCERY OUTLET OR VON'S OR SMART AND FINAL AND GET THE INGREDIENTS AND SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. THE PRICES AT THIS DUMP ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL. IT'S HARDLY WORTH THE TIME FINISHING THIS REVIEW. THIS JOINT IS SUCH AN EXPENSIVE PLACE AND THE WORKERS ARE RUDE STUCK UP AND EVERY ONE OF THEM ARE ONLY THERE FOR A PAYCHECK THIS IS SO OBVIOUS. THEY REEK WITH NEGATIVITY. IT ALMOST TAKES A BANK LOAN TO FEED A FAMILY OF FOUR I KID YOU NOT.
I came in last night about 30 minutes before closing. If there’s a sign that states having ingredients until they are gone at that hour please correct me. Spending $60 and receiving smaller proportions and not having the employees opening and dating (prepping) or grabbing another container of sour cream and lettuce from the walk in is crazy to me. I would think that a customer coming in at 12pm or 9pm would receive the same exact customer service. I have worked quick service establishments with food to convenience stores over a span of 20 years.

The driver decided to go pick up another order at Cane’s first and sat there for 15 minutes before even heading to Chipotle. By the time my food finally arrived, it was cold. That was just the start—part of my order was wrong, the quesadilla was burnt, and the rice in my bowl was so hard it was inedible. I tried to get help through the Chipotle app, but their AI “assistant” is a complete joke—just runs you in circles and never lets you reach an actual person. Calling the restaurant didn’t work either; all you get is another automated system telling you to go back to the useless app. Filing a complaint through the app was a headache, and all they promised was to “share my feedback with the restaurant.” That doesn’t fix anything. Customers shouldn’t have to wait 3–5 business days just to maybe hear back. The experience today was unacceptable from start to finish.

Walked in for dinner, had to wait 3 minutes before I was helped even though there were 2 people right there cleaning 2 hours before close, everyone here is a teenager or early 20s they don’t give a shit about any customer, they had 20 bags of chips out but was told they had ran out of chips and then when we asked “what about all those bags right there?” They said those are for online order customers only, (screw me walking in to order right??) Owner please email me so I can teach you how to run your franchise. This is an embarrassment to all other chipotles in the San Diego area. No customer service small portions this place must be on its last legs especially after seeing all these reviews. Do better!
