Came here for lunch and orders we the Forbidden Rice Bowl. It was excellent. Very fresh vegetables. You can taste the quality ingredients that went into cooking and flavoring the vegetables and sauce.
Miss Lucy’s has the perfect cozy/intimate atmosphere, the staff is attentive, and the food is delicious! We were famished, so I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of our first courses, but we decided to share some of their small plates because they all sounded too good to pass up: calamari, fried Brussel sprouts, kale Caesar, and brisket tacos. The food was out in the blink of an eye, and everything was cooked to perfection. We didn’t really save room, but we had to try their apple crumble and it was worth it! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu!
Despite being crazy busy the hostess was able to get us in and seated even though the table was reserved an hour later. The menu was mostly classic dishes, we had the chicken confit pot pie and the paperdelle pasta, both were absolutely delicious. I wish the lights were a tad brighter, because we are old and have bad eyes. Over all a really great experience. Highly recommend.
Nice cozy little restaurant for brunch, lunch, or dinner. You can get excellent salads, sandwiches and entrees here. If traveling through New York state we often stop in Saugerties and this a go to place to eat at. I have never had a meal here that I did not enjoy. Weekends can be busy.
Had lunch at Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties and really enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with a rustic touch that made it feel special. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We had the brisket sandwich and burger. We also tried a pink cocktail and ended with their pistachio dessert, which was beautifully presented. While the food was just okay for me (taking one star off for that), the vibe and service were easily 5 stars. It's definitely worth a visit for the ambiance and hospitality!
After a day of kayaking on the Hudson River four of us went to Miss Lucy’s Kitchen for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend so we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. We walked around Saugerties until our table was ready. It’s a small restaurant that’s been there for a long time. While Saugerties continues to change, Miss Lucy’s continues to stay the same serving delicious food with a nice atmosphere. While looking at the menu two of us had Blood Orange Margaritas and the other two had Spicy Passion Fruit Margaritas, with an order of P.E.I. Mussels; white wine, shallots, fennel, pernod, mint, splash of cream & crostini ($18). For dinner two of us had the House Smoked BBQ Ribs; three cheese mac & cheese and coleslaw ($26), my wife had the Bell & Evans Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($25) and our other friend had the Fresh Pappardelle Pasta; Meiller's sausage, tomato, cream, fennel & red pepper flakes ($26). Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. The menu has two prices for everything; one for cash and the other for credit card. It’s a 4% credit card fee. I personally don’t like restaurants doing that. Credit cards are just the price of doing business. If you are in Saugerties, Miss Lucy’s is a place you need to eat.
Went here expecting a casual mediocre diner food but we were quite blown away by the quality of it. Firstly, the fries were the perfect thickness; not too thin or thick, and super crispy. The pork sandwich and brisket were superb. The crispy brisket was very smoky and had a strong intense flavour which went well with how crispy and a little fatty it was and the burger meet was super smoky and flavourful. Although could have more saucez Service was a bit slow at times but highly highly reccommend this place for a meaningful meal.
My husband and I have eaten here a few times on different days and different times and it’s always been extremely delicious and top tier service. One thing we consistently have ordered are the Brussel sprouts which are so delicious! Their cocktails are also very good as well. My only recommendation is make a reservation especially on the weekend because they are very popular.
We stopped here around 8 pm while driving to Catskill and it was the cutest and coziest restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. We sat at the bar and our waitress was extremely friendly, we split the soup of the day (butternut squash) which was def one of the best butternut squash soups I have ever had. It’s like you could taste each ingredient that went into it…and the homemade bread and butter !!! Insanely good!!! We split the beet salad and the scallops on butternut squash risotto—loved the beets and scallops and both were super well portioned. The desert options all looked so good we could hardly decide but ended up choosing the pear bread pudding. Would definitely return here no questions asked
Absolutely lovely spot in Saugerties! We had the Burrata first with pesto and fresh tomato salsa. It was amazing, the pesto was so vibrant. I had the fried chicken sandwich and my boyfriend had the burger. The tomatoes and peppers tasted so fresh and my chicken was perfect. We also had a very attentive great waitress. We will definitely be back :)
We arrived in Saugererties after dark. Not much was open and of the options available, Miss Lucy's Kitchen looked like our best bet. There is no hostess stand. When we arrived and asked for a table, they immediately asked if we had a reservation - which we did not. But they had several table open so they did seat us quickly. Parking: There was street parking and several spots around the restaurant were available. Atmosphere: The ambience was dark and it was very loud inside but other than that, it had a nice vibe. Customer Service: Everyone was nice and they came and checked on us periodically but we did have to flag them down for things more than once. Food: The brussel sprouts were delicious. The best part was the aioli on top. My son ordered the pot pie and my husband and I shared the ribeye steak. The pot pie was rather large and he enjoyed it. He didn't finish it all due to its large size. - and that is rare since he is an 18 year old that loves to eat. We asked for the steak to be medium rare. It was more like medium well and not medium rare. But the flavor was very good as well as the flavor of the mashed potatoes and broccoli. We also ordered the carrot cake for dessert. The carrot cake was more like a small carrot loaf and not a carrot cake. It tasted good but was a little more dense than I would have liked. Other: 3% fee passed on to the customer if using a credit card.
My husband had the fried Chicken, and the meat was tender and juicy but the crust was a little in the greasy side. I had the salmon. Initially. It came out well done when I had asked for medium rare, but day redid it, and it was delicious. It came with creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms. We had the sweet corn and blueberry bread pudding tapped with Jane's cranberry swirl ice cream for dessert. It was very good! Drinks were also good.
A nice restaurant for a nice dinner. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. The pasta was so creamy and tasty although it had an excessive amount of sausage in it. The cake was very delicious and not too sweet. The service was okay, the place was a little busy and waitresses seemed tired. One problem is the smell of cooking coming from the kitchen. it gets stuck to your clothes after leaving the place.
Happen to stop in after a day of hiking. Truly was pleasantly surprised. The vibe was great , busy for a Sunday night (in my opinion) so that’s always good! The food was nice. Started with the French onion soup! That is a must have! For sure hands down great menu item for sure . The tacos (they were brisket) very flavorful.came with 2 as an appetizer. Not bad at all. The mussels or the first thing that drew my eye. Due to presentation and a little bit of my own expectancy. I would say they were good. Definitely could use a little bit more love in the flavor department, but nevertheless, truly delicious. I will definitely say that I would love to pop back in and try other items on their menu. Even their cocktails and desserts looked very tasty as well. Staff was very pleasant from accommodating us to a full dining room and with that alone; I would recommend and even stop in again !
The food here is something on another level. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Nothing missed flavor, why bother adding salt and pepper to the tables. The menu is small but has enough variety to intrigue most. They even offer a wide, and unique, drink selection. You pay for what you get, and it is worth it. However, service is subpar at best. Our server kept forgetting that our table existed even though our table seemed to be in the center of where she needed to walk. She ignored our requests at times. We found this rude and pretentious. Luckily, the second server was better. The restaurant fills up fast and is only open select days and hours. Take a drive and enjoy a bite.
Been there before, but forgot how limited the menu is. No salad substantial enough for a meal. We had fried chicken sandwich and fish fry. Both were OK. Was hoping for a more interesting lunch.
I have mixed views on this one. The pappardelle pasta with sausage was delicious. The pasta was fresh and very well made the warm spinach salad was ok but fresh. The bread was delicious but putting the butter in the basket leaves it at the table melted. The dessert was questionable. Blueberries, corn pistachio, currant ice cream. It was nothing like a bread pudding the corn was more like a Thanksgiving soufflé than a dessert. So giving it a three star for food, but would be willing to give it another try. Price point was reasonable
