Nice gem in a plaza offering tasty, seafood fare. A co-worker introduced the spot for lunch, and I've been back twice. Catfish and shrimp are my favorites, but they have other choices as well. One tip, if you are most always cold like me, bring a button up sweater. With temperatures already heating up, dive into Catfish Station for deliciousness, and respite from the heat. Yum

I always saw this place when riding by and today was the day I that decided to try it. What a pleasant surprised. I love fish fresh out the grease and the meal was piping hot. I ordered the fish basket with French fried and hush puppies. It was well seasoned and adding the lemon wedge took it over the top. I also ordered the superb blacken catfish. The meal was so good that before I thought about taking pics, it was half gone. I will definitely frequent this hidden gem.

We had the fried catfish basket with cheesy grits. Did not disappoint! Fish was crispy&well seasoned. The grits were delicious. Hush puppies were good too. UberEATS delivered 25 minute drive. And the fish was still crispy! Crunch! The banana pudding - meh. I've tasted better. But we'll order from this location again! Keep up the good work!

This place was recommended by a family member. I wasn’t disappointed. Overall it was good quality seafood.👏🏼👍🏼 They had a daily special going on: 10 pieces of catfish and 6 shrimp with fries for $25. It was a great value for the money—a lot of food. Everything was fried to perfection. The shrimp were large, and the pieces of fish were a good size as well. The fries were seasoned, fresh, and hot. All the condiments I requested were in the bag, and so were the utensils.⬅️ I’m mentioning this because it’s sometimes surprising how often restaurants forget these things. They didn’t cook it until I ordered it, but the wait wasn’t long at all. I may have been their first customer of the day, because I went in right at opening. It’s a local spot, much closer to my home than I realized. I’ll definitely be back for a second visit.

The food was awesome! At first glance, the place looks like a literal hole in the wall, but the food makes up for it 10 times over. The fried fish and shrimp was amazing, but the real star of the show was the hushpuppies, I ate at least 4 alone.

As in the past they often serve single portions when family portions were ordered.When computers make a mistake like this they often offer a complimentary something which I dont always accept but its a nice gesture.. Visited this place last night for dinner and it was pretty good! I got the combo plate with 4 pieces of fish and 4 jumpo shrimp. Everything was fired to perfection and nice portion sizes. My only compliment was there was absolutely no taste to the fish. I mean not even salt. It wss soo very bland. Like crunchy air. They might want to invest in some sort of seasoning. On the other hand the mac and cheese was very peppery. I will definitely be back and will recommend, just bring some salt or whatever seasonings you like with you.

I love this hole in the wall seafood restaurant located at West & Jones Road. They have an all day catfish, fries, & hushpuppy plate sale on Mondays & Shrimp, fries, & hushpuppy on Tuesdays for $5.99. And they serve you a lot of food. They also sell turkey legs stuffed with Mac & Cheese.

I have been to this location in Jersey Village many times and never a complaint...till today. The fish was greasy...like old grease and bitter, the shrimp and fries were the same. The one shrimp I tasted had half the shell still on. 2 catfish specials added 6 shrimp each and of course extra hushpuppies. Worst experience and so disappointed $43.00 in the trash!

The catfish was cooked well also the green beans were season just right but when you order to go you must check your food before you leave they tend to not fully complete your order They are selfish on the hush puppies

They are open again. The portions of the food are much smaller for the same or higher prices. The company name and phone # on my receipt was for the closed store in Galveston. So, if there is an issue when you leave, you will not speak to the rude dude at the cash register on the phone.

I gave this place a 3 star only because there gumbo is good. Either than that the customer service sucks! The workers are not friendly at all. I can see why every time I go in there only 1-2 customers if that! 🤦🏽‍♀️😂. Would I recommend this place? No, at least not this location.

I was "catfished" by what appears to be swai filets. Loved that the filets were seasoned well w/o being too salty, but they definitely made up for it with the fries. The Cajun seasoning was a bit too heavy for my tastes. I ordered the combination platter ($16.99), and it's enough food for two. The fish was fried perfectly, but the shrimp were fried so hard that it dried them out. Frozen hushpuppies, so manage your expectations. Fresh hushpuppies would have earned another star. I wasn't greeted when I entered an empty restaurant, so there goes customer service.

The guy at the checkout is very rude. My fried shrimp order was decent. The red beans and rice was a little soupy, bur had a food flavor to them.

It was quite empty. The food was fresh. No condiments were offered. It was an average experience.

I recently moved back to Houston and remembered when these guys first started in the drive-thru spot on 1960. I used to stop by weekly. The owners were always there, speaking with customers, and the food was excellent. I recall one time the owner noticed I wasn’t ordering fish anymore and asked why. I told him it was too salty. He had me pull over and personally adjusted the seasoning, cooking it three times until I was happy with the taste. I stopped by today and that kind of care is gone now. I didn’t feel welcomed at all during my recent visit, and the food was just… mediocre.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile so I finally decided to give it a shot today. I ordered the combo platter. The catfish batter was crisp but the fish was overcooked and mushy. The shrimp was just ok and also over cooked. I ordered extra hushpuppies as my side based on someone's rave review. They were way too sweet for my taste and gooey on the inside. Now I can say that I tried the restaurant and I won't be going back.

Real good food, went with my mom last week, she paid with debit, no issue, I went today, I went to hand the girl my card, she pointed out a sign that they required ID to buy food, my mom looks real put together and proper, I had just been to the gym and was in a tank top showing tattoos, unfortunately people like to assume things based on appearance.

I realized all of the catfish Station’s are not created equally. Their fish is pollock or swai and the batter was weird, it fell off the fish. The fish was slimy and off. The Cypress and Spring locations always deliver Jones Rd location needs to close. Save your money the only thing that was decent was the fries and they were a bit too salty.

Purchase combo of catfish, jumbo shrimp w/ fries. Also two hush puppies. The shrimp were okay. The fish had zero taste, fries mushy, hush puppies were dry, hated the side sauces. I got a bowl of gumbo, well, some mushy soupy stuff called gumbo. Not kidding but it made me feel sick. I returned the food and received a refund. Something is wrong with the gumbo.

I was sitting at a table for five minutes til I got the attention of an employee. It was my first time in there and she said I can place my order by approaching the cash registrar. I ordered the gumbo and it was the worse tasting gumbo I have ever had. Clearly whoever made it, did not know how. I ended up throwing it away. There is a lack of customer service in here for having been opened so briefly.

We ordered food for take out. Not only was the food cold, it was wrong! I called the store, and the manager had that "I really don't care attitude". He told me to just bring it back. It was already 8:30, and they close at 9. No point. The food is good, but the service was horrible!

I ate here yesterday May 17th 23 around 1pm. I got home and had to go straight to the toilet.. around 5 pm I started throwing up.. I tried body arms drunks and pepto bismol. nothing would stay down. .. it is 11 am on the 18th.. I finally stopped .. with the diarrhea and vomiting stopped about 5am.. Man at register is rude and has attitude problem. Hes on his phone while People try to order and he looks annoyed he has to put his phone down or if anyone ask any quesitons He looks dirty and i saw him wiping his nose while in kitchen. Food was bad but service was worse!

Front register man was super rude and on the phone the entire time. People waiting and he was on his cell taking a personal call. He pretends he can't speak Spanish but he can. He wasnt even done taking our order when he was back on the phone and acted annoyed when i had questions and had a terrible attitude . This not the same catfish station, specifically, before COVID. I'm not sure if the original owner sold this business but it sure seems that way. The green beans are spicy, which never were, the mac and cheese is terrible, and the FISH... isn't the same recipe at all. I went to eat here with a friend on Sunday, and it was not the same food that led me to be the dedicated customer I was, and I'm so disappointed. Some good restaurants do come to an end at some point, and this one definitely have overtime.

I hope the owner sees this review! You have a very rude manager that I encounter on a telephone call today around 5:15 pm. The soda I received with food that I ordered was horrible and tasted like Alka-Seltzer! I also had salty running grits but I was just gonna take a loss at first! But I decided to call umber eats back as well as give this review. You need to hire respectable staff members that know how to deal with customers. This location did not give me quality food like the other locations that I have from. The nastiest mess I’ve ever tasted! I am considering calling the health department to check this location out!
